Grand Hotel La Pace - Sorrente

Magnifique établissement, situé au calme à 10 min à pied de Sant' Agnello et de la gare (très pratique pour visiter la région sans utiliser sa voiture). Service de navette gratuite pour Sorrento (temps de trajet 10 à 15 min.). Chambres spacieuses donnant sur la baie de Naples ou sur la campagne. Équipement très complet et agréable (piscine, jacuzzi, […] salle de fitness, salon de soins, restaurant, bars, salons, parking privé). Personnel prévenant et chaleureux. Très bon petit déjeuner. We had a fantastic 5 nights stay, nice rooms, good facilities, friendly helpful staff ...and the food was good too. Honestly I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and we are considering a return visit...one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

We were looking forward to our stay in Sorrento and this hotel looked fantastic on the web site, this is where it ended. This is not a 5 star hotel 3 star at best, the room was not as displayed on the web site the en-suite was very small, the bed was not what was stated on the site, the bed was two small single bed's pushed together and was very hard. […] We booked a king sized bed. The hotel is a good 1/2 hour walk from Sorrento. The food was not good, certainly not anything like what you would get in a 5 star hotel, we had booked half board but only had one meal as the food was bad. Their was no tourist information at the reception desk and when we asked for some information all we got was the tour's we could book from the hotel. We would not recommend this hotel. What a fantastic hotel its foyer is like walking into a movie set. Our room was big with a balcony and the shower ensuite was lovely. Staff were very gracious and helpful. Mr Angelo the Restaurant Manager was so lovely.. He made our stay so enjoyable. We arrived in the evening and asked for something to eat at the pool bar but could not get anything. […] there are set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is the only thing I would change about the facilities. There is a bar/cafe around the corner from the hotel which has the most beautiful pasta, pizza and drinks for next to nothing pricewise. The name now escapes me. Central Hotel La Pace is out of town five minutes by car 45 minutes walk. We actually walked it very busy road. If you like to be in the centre this is maybe not your hotel. The hotel was quite fancy - maybe too so - but very nice. The pool was fantastic! It is up in the mountains, so it is a drive to Sorrento. The bed was too hard, but in all we liked the experience.

This hotel offers spectacular views of the Napoli Bay, particularly at night if you are lucky enough to get a hotel that overlooks the bay. The view alone makes you want to rush back to enjoy the evening on your own balcony as it sits up on the mountain. The hotel is lovely with a nice pool. No doubt, the hotel is beautiful. What went wrong? I carefully reviewed Hotel.com site as well as other sites including Trip Advisor. Almost all reviews were glowing. The main lobby of the hotel is lovely. Not one expense was spared. Beautiful marble, wood, carpeting, furnishings. First flaw noted was there was an enormous lobby bar, quite stylish, […] but totally empty, not even a bartender. It remained this way for the 4 nights we were there. There were some shop windows with high end merchandise in them, but no sign of a shop. The shelves were heavy with dust. There are 2 small elevators to the guest rooms. They were paneled, but looked worn. The hallways were dim and I realized that it appeared they had removed every other bulb in the wall sconces. Probably to save energy. Our room was actually pretty. A small balcony looked out to the mountain above, and you could hear roosters and chickens. There is bright yellow tiles on the floor. The floors were dirty. Lots of hair and dust was easily seen, especially in the corners. The mini fridge smelled bad. The bathtub had a shower. The first shower exposed it's flaw. The water was coming out in a trickle. The shower head was mostly clogged and grimy. What water was coming out was going mostly to the bathroom floor. There was no curtain, but a glass partition that covered only about 1/3rd the length of the tub starting at the faucet wall. So after every shower,, we had to use towels to dry the floor. It's a wonder the rooms' ceilings don't get flooded. Other than a wedding our arrival night we saw very few other guests. It was high tourist season and Sorrento was packed with visitors. Why was this hotel so empty? Felt like 'The Shining'. The pool was somewhat deceptive in photos. It was not an in-ground pool but had decking built around what I imagined to be a blue sided backyard pool. Again rarely others there. We had rented a car in Naples. Bad idea. Stayed at the Grand Hotel La Pace for one week. The Hotel is excellent and the staff could not do enough to make the stay more enjoyable. Hotel itself and Pool is first class. Breakfast is buffet style but excellently stocked by a very friendly and vigilant staff. It's location out of Sorrento is the only drawback. Whilst the walk to Town Centre is […] 30 minutes or so there is a courtesy bus running regulalry. A good job because the Taxi service in Sorrento is expensive. It averaged Euro 20 per trip for what is at most a two kilometre trip. Otherwise , the Hotel is really good. Best suited for Middle aged couples or Honeymooners. Lisez la suite

A lovely experience. Staff were very helpful and the courtesy bus was really convienient and returned at 11pm at night which was perfect timing.

Staff were friendly throughout our one weeks stay and couldn't do enough for us. Food was excellent - good selection for breakfast and we had one evening meal in the beautiful dining room which was excellent and relatively cheap considering the quality of the three courses we had and the selection of choices fro each course. The hotel certainly lived […] up to our expectations and was exactly as the photos and write up described. Other guests we spoke to were also equally impressed and many had returned for the second/third time. The free shuttle bus into town was ideal and although it ran for a limited number of times it worked for us very well throughout the day. We would not hesitate to go back there, Lisez la suite

Hotel is excellent and very comfortable the only problem i faced is very few shutte bus and this was not shared by Hotels.com so i have paid money on Taxi.

This hotel was a great base to travel around he Amalfi coast - unfortunately it was very quiet with no one in the bars or restaurant so not much atmosphere. There is a shuttle bus that take you into the centre of town every day which was great. The rooms were clean and sea view was lovely. We stayed in teh Hotel as we were getting married in Positano and found the hotel to be a great place to stay. We had a Suite which was very spacious and well furnished, two full sized rooms with two french balconies. we returned to the hotel after a trip to Capri and had a sea view room with a terrace - fabulous. Our guests also stayed here and all loved the hotel, the regular rooms were lovely with tiled floors - but the non sea view rooms on the lower floor have very restricted views. Could not fault the hotel, the service, the staff or the food. Three course meal for 25 euros, great value. Pool was glorious as it was not freezing cold. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the shuttle bus into Sorrento town wasn't frequent enough.

Hotellet ligger langt fra sentrum. Derfor forholdsvis rimelig for så høy standard. Kort og dårlig roomservice. Tilsynelatende serviceminded betjening, men de har avtaler med annen turistvirksomhet i byen, så de rådene de gir er så som så. Anbefaller grundig reserach av byen selv. Veldig fullt ved bassenget. Mye barnefamilier. Langt fra stranden.

Excellent quality hotel in its price class. Quite long distance from town center (2,5 km), but good if you have own/rented car.

The hotel was an ok hotel, but not 5 or even 4 stars! The rooms are small, but clean. Don't expect the usual amenities of a 4 (or 5) star hotel. Furthermore, we had to really insist on service when there was a need for it; for example getting fresh towels when the house keeping had not left as any. The house-keeping was in overall very basic; no change […] of dirty classes etc. Another thing is the location: the walk to Saint'Agnello train station or Sorrento is not long but it is not a very pleasant one since there'e no side-walk. The hotel offers a great service with very friendly staff. The room (standard double) was not so great but fresh. The supplement for a sea view with balcony was well worth the money. Pool area with bar and spectacular views is great. We had half board and enjoyed the Italian menu. Nothing extravagant but very good. Hotellet var jättebra, dock ej fem-stjärnigt snarare fyra. Men väldigt prisvärt så vi kan verkligen rekommendera det. Perfekt om man vill ha det som bas för en veckas resande runt amalfikusten. Bra frukost, bra gratis buss in till stan.

Zeer mooi hotel met parking wat in Sorrento van zeer groot belang is . Kamers zijn zeer goed , personeel vriendelijk dus kortweg aan te bevelen Hotel.

Das Hotel an sich ist nicht schlecht. Echt super und schick eingerichtet. Aber es wird nicht richtig sauber gehalten. Das Bad war schmutzig, der Duschvorhang eklig und die Bettlaken wurden nicht gewechselt. Ausserdem ware nocht Schmutz von den Vorgängern (Haare usw.) überall zu finden. Das Frühstück grauenhaft!!! Meget bra hotell, med super mat, vi valgte halvpensjon, frokost og middag, og det var en sann nytelse. Noe langt å gå til Sorrento sentrum, men det går shuttle buss fra hotellet til sentrum morgen og ettermiddag/kveld i høyseson som er gratis. Til gjengjeld ligger hotellet deilig avslappende til, nydelig og luksuriøst!

Erg goed hotel met een goede service. Inrichting is 'kitscherig' maar wel in stijl. Heerlijk rustig gelegen en een shuttle bus service naar Sorrento, die exact op tijd vertrekt. Genoeg bedden bij het zwembad, maar voor de beste plaatsen wel vroeg er bij zijn. Ontbijtbuffet gevarieerd en goed.

la struttura dell'hotel è spettacolare. purtroppo il bagno della stanza non era il massimo (penso sia una svista), come pure la ristorazione (un po' troppo "americana")
