Rincon of the Seas - Grand Caribbean Hotel - Rincón

Beautiful resort! Perfect for families. My husband surfed while we hung out at the pool and beach. Excellent, friendly staff. A great place, we will definitely be back next year!

This was such a great suprise when i got there was not expecting it to be as nice as it was. Highly recomend it to anyone!!!!

The hotel grounds are exquisite. The location is nice. Loved the beach! There are restaurants and "panaderias" close by. The room was confortable and clean. It looked renovated. The bed was comfy. Will definitely stay there again.

The hotel staff was very kind and accomadating. I speak some Spanish and that helped, although most restaurant/bar and front desk staff spoke fluent English. Housekeepers and grounds staff spoke Spanish. A hidden jewel...Our room was on 5th floor Oceanview and had a fantastic view! Direct access to the beach. The grounds and lobby were lovely. It was so good!!

The staff was not friendly. The Restaurant was not open, the pool bar was not open. Room Service was very expensive and slow. There were very few guests, yet we received no attention from anyone.

The grand kids were none stop...

I had a wonderful time!!! I was there with my boyfriend. We have 3 children bw us and this hotel made us miss our children!! i did not realize this hotel was so kid-friendly.. In the pics u see a swim up bar and think otherwise. the pool is 3 feet all around!! We spent one night at the hotel and found the setting to be absolutely enchanting! Our kids - ages 11 and 12 - were thrilled to have their room open onto the pool and the gorgeous beach. The room smelled a bit (mildew) and was very damp, but that's typical for a beach side hotel. We met interesting locals at the pool bar, and overall had a wonderful […] time. the hotel was very charming , love the way it was decorated ,nice pool area and beachfront. confortable rooms with a great view , nice people.Wall in bathroom needs minor repair but bathroom was very confortable room too and it was nice to have a balcony, Food and drinks are very expensive.

The hotel is in a very nice location. Everyone that help on the night of the celebration were excellent. Now your customer service front desk needs to be more kind. The front desk would take care of people that were not in line first then they would acknowledge you and ask you how can they help I found that very rude.The deck door in the room was not […] working properly you need to improve on your maintenance and your surrounding views were to obstractive with the palm trees. The rooms next to the air conditioner server for the whole hotel was very loud and disturbing. The housekeeping services definitely needs to improve, it was very frustrating when you would come up to take a shower every evening for a dinner outings and they were cleanning the room, at that time this needs to be changed or have more staff. A good stay overall. We would go back here. However every place has it's ups and downs. There are definitely more ups here, but were a few downs. Beach was great, but had a lot of glass in the water on our first day. Me and another guest cleaned most of it up. It is a public beach, so you have to expect a little of this but the hotel could do this […] every morning with little effort. The hotel was in good shape and most of the staff were great. Pool bar was excellent, and we had great wait staff there as well as the food. We did have problems in the main reastaurant with a lack of service. Our waiter was great at first but then disappeared for 45 minutes. When he came back our food was delivered cold and with no comment. We were offered no additional wine, dessert, etc. Once we placed our order we were not part of the waiters plan. The other servers seemed excellent, especially Omar. Our 2nd floor room was clean, but our pool/ocean view was blocked by very overgrown palm trees (same w/the five other rooms in our group, and we weren’t next to each other) and the ugly metal roof of the restaurant below. My biggest disappointment was the beach condition. The water was full of rocks and boulders. Our feet took a beating and I couldn’t […] even bring myself to enter the water on our last full day from all the cuts on my feet. I was also disappointed with the total lack of beach umbrellas. The few beach chairs they had were chained together, so they couldn’t be moved around on the sand. Also important to note, there was an 18in drop from the sand to the water’s edge, which made for a hard climb for some in our group. Do not expect to find the hotel using your GPS, there is no actual address so you just have to find PR 115 and then look for the sign. That is true for many of the locations in Rincon. The lobby of the hotel is gorgeous, the grounds and gardens are beautiful and the pool is very nice, with a swim up bar. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. […] We visited over a holiday weekend and the pool was very busy, filled with adults and children andLatin dance music was pumping from the speakers. I enjoyed it but if you're looking for a peaceful vacation this pool might be a little loud for you. Our room was large and the A/C worked very well which is important when it is so hot outside. I was disappointed in the hotel's beach access, it was not very large and the swimming area was very rocky, I actually cut my foot while I was attempting to swim but the surf was very rough from bad weather so that may have contributed. I did find the area a little isolated, since it rained the entire time we were there and we could not do any beach outings it was a little difficult to find activities in the area to pass the time. The first day we arrive, there was no concierge and cars for carrying the bags. As soon we get to the room we were disapointed. The bed was unconfortable, it just have refigerator, the bathroom wasnt pretty and look old. The hotel needs to be remodelate. The room wasnt clean, they have to few employes. My daughter and I checked in on Tuesday evening. My daughter had a baby in her arms. Service was requested to get luggage to the room. Was told no one was available but the push carts could be used by me. What a welcome! Tuesday night - The in-room safe was not working. I asked for help the next morning. Was told security would be there to help me shortly. […] Over an hour later, security showed up. The batteries were nearly out of juice. They got the safe working, but it didn't work well. (I bought my own batteries, and it worked fine thereafter). Wednesday morning - The one elevator on the wing closest to our room was out of service. This elevator was out thoughout our 4 night stay. Wednesday day - Loud music blasted out over the pool area. Apparently a college or high school group rented out the only pool. The speaker was right under our 2nd floor room. The music was so loud that I had to yell to speak with my daughter. The baby cried for 2 hours. We asked the front desk to tone down the music and they said that they would talk to security about the issue. The music was turned down when the students left. Thursday - Got up late. Were in and out of room a lot. About 2 PM, maid asked my daughter if she wanted service. She said yes, but asked if it could be done in an hour. Daughter left room 20 minutes later. As we checked in we noticed, TV not working phone not working no internet, front desk took a note of that . Next day morning I learned I was bitten by some insect several times and then around 8 AM Back Ho bulldozer started load noise long term construction ! they gave us several same category room option, we had to take a king size bed room which did […] not suet our family . the views and land scape of this hotel is simply beautiful . We just returned from a 3 night stay at Rincon of the Seas. It was perfect, despite a few hiccups the first few hours. We had let them know we would be arriving well past midnight and a key to our room was waiting for us with the security guard. We had reserved a King Deluxe and were dismayed to see they put us in the handicapped room with a rolling […] shower (not suitable for those who take a shower standing up) and right next to the boiler room, which made sounds all night. The next morning we went down to the front desk to complain. The manager found us another King Deluxe with a regular shower. This room was perfect and just what we expected when we booked it. We were really happy with the grounds - very nicely decorated and well kept. The pool is the main attraction - very large and has a swim up bar. The beach is quite and serene, and unlike the surfing beaches, calm and swimmable. The only complaint is that there are no beach umbrellas and the chairs are tied together, making it difficult to move your chair into the shade. Overall, we had a great stay at Rincon of the Seas. Very nice hotel in a great location close to town, the marina, and all the bars and resterants. The room was nice, the pool bar is great and the beach is beautiful. We stayed at 4 different hotels all over Peurto Rico and Rincon of the seas was by far the best. We hated to leave and will definitely return. You wont be sorry if you stay here.

nice hotel, however, the service is not great....

I'm always up very early in the morning and everyday saw the pool being cleaned, landscape being trimmed , painters and sweeping up the area around the pool..Food was on the expensive side but I didn't have to change out of my bathing suit or leave the pool for lunch(poolside bar) . So I believe it was worth it plus the food was good. We went in August […] when most children are back to school or getting ready to go back to school ..therefore we received a lot of attention from staff and the pool and beach area were sparce of other people. The town center was in walking distance and on the beach front other bars/restarurants were too close by.Rincon has a lot of attraction for the tourist. Lisez la suite

The hotel has a very nice pool and perfect access to the beach. The hotel food was ok, but after the first couple of nights we wound up eating from the food trucks along HWY 115. The wireless internet never worked. There was no nightlife nearby, must have a car to access local bars and other close towns. Other than that, the price wasn't too bad for […] what you got. For the price, they should at least have a mini fridge in each room. If you needed one, you have to ask front desk but they were all gone. They did store my medication on their fridge but I had to go to the front desk everytime I needed my medication and this caused inconvenience not only for me, but for the next person (shift) at the front desk. Hope […] that for the future they take this into consideration. Another thing I want to mention - be prepared for power outages during the day - I'm not sure if this is to save power or if it has to do with other issues. During my stay my room telephone did not work and hotel rep said the tel company had to repair line,but it was not done.

The hotel is in a nice location near the downtown, a supermarket it's walking distance, the sunsets on the beach are spectacular, but there is few thing they need to improve, first removing the red doors on the hall, it's look like a psychiatric hospital and really really realy need to improve it's the night life.

I read the reviews on hotel.com and agree with most of them. This was a good room for the money hotel. I booked the room when there was a 50% sale going on so I got what I thought was a good value. If I paid full price then I wouldn't be as positive based on a couple of "blips" that I experienced......1st one was when I got to my room that has a mini […] fridge in it ,...I found that the fridge was located in the bottom portion of the armoire (TV was in the top portion. The fridge was behind a hinged door. When i openned the door , I found the the fridge was not cold inside and the exterior as well as inside the cabinet was extremely hot. The back of the cabinet had very little venting. The fridges cooling coil was encased in 3 inches of ice. I removed the fridge from its cabinet , let the ice melt while it sat on the balcony for 1/2 an hour and then plugged it in (but not inside the cabinet. It worked fine after that. 2nd thing was the remote on the TV. I inadvertantly pressed the closed caption button on my TV remote , which caused me to lose adio on all channels. I tried to reset it by turning the TV off and then on again. Problem was that I could only turn on/off the TV via the remote because the on/off switch on the TV was broken off. I called down to the front desk and he didnt know how to reset it but someone coming on duty at 1030pm would and he would call me(it was 830pm when i called) No one showed up till I called back the next afternoon. We found this hotel is family oriented due to the size of the pool, the beautiful play yard and safety. There are no night activities other than dinning in which case you need to visit other places for entertainment.

We booked an ocean view room and it was great (very clean). They don't have coffee makers in the rooms, though; we think they should add that option. The breakfast (not included in the rate) was a little expensive, considering that there are very nice bakeries in the town. They play very nice caribbean music at the pool bar during the weekends; the […] wine bar is only open during summer, though. When we looked a tthe pictures in the internet and we book this hotel we were really exited. When we try calling the hotel for directions how to get there (GPS does not track road without addresses) no one answered the phone. We called at least 8 times and no one picked up the phone not even once. When we finally made it there and I told them we were […] trying to contact them, the woman just looked at me and said "sorry". Second,they did not gave us the rooms we paid for (we paid ahead)The view to the beach was blocked by trees, we were told on the phone we were paying higher prices because we will be getting beachside views. The woman at the front was rude and said those were the only rooms they had available. The doors to the patio were stuck and had a hard time opening them. The refrigerator in the room did not work.The water was cold at night and burning hot in the morning, plus there was not a way to control the temperature. The rooms were dark and smelly. The pool was only about 3 feet deep and green. Plus why have a poolside bar if is always filled with kids because they don't have an adult pool. The food was superexpensive and not that great. It took forever to get what we ordered. This is a hotel that I would never recomend, the customer service was so poor that there is not even a rating for it. That wasn't even customer service, that was being rude to well paying customer because they are too angry with the job they have. The price paid was not worth the rooms and the bad experience. After we left here we went to San Juan for a night and we paid 1/2 the price of one room at Rincon of the Seas for a better room, better said a suit with all the ammenities and not only that, the front desk people were more than willing to help out and be nice. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk ignored us completely, until her superior ordered her to check us in. I was not advised upon check-in that I needed to leave a credit card with the front desk in order to charge any expenses to the room -- a serious oversight. We had booked two "beachside cabanas" and soon discovered that this is simply a […] random description for a ground level hotel room facing the pool area (lots of noise), with äccess to the beach". Not at all what we were expecting. There was some kind of renovation going on in the room directly above us, which made it really unpleasant to be in our room when we had to go indoors during a rainstorm. It continued until we called the manager. The rooms themselves left quite a lot to be desired: dirty sheets, a giant spider crawling out of a pillowcase, and a bathroom covered in calcium and lime deposits. Decor looked like a cheap Holiday Inn, ca. 1981. Air conditioning had two temperatures: icy or broil. Definitely won't be returning. Lisez la suite

Tiene una cómoda y excellente picina. Los precios de comidas y la bebidas en el hotel son un poco elevados, pero hay muchas obciones para esto fuera. No hay cafetera en los cuartos.
