Idéalement situé au nord d'une des principales artères de la ville, non loin du marché et du quartier chinois. Laverie à côté, c'est commode.

Bel hôtel, bien situé avec tram et bus gratuits vers le centre de la ville en 10 mn. Possibilité de laver son linge et de le sécher. Moderne, propreté des chambres et lieux communs, personnel de la réception compétent et aimable, petits déjeuners continentaux très bons et copieux, rien à redire si ce n'est que la chambre était un peu juste en taille pour les 3 lits une personne. Malgré tout je pourrais y retourner et je le recommande !

L'hôtel est très bien situé à Melbourne, à 5 min à pied de Central Station (gare), le tramway passe juste devant (dont la ligne gratuite). L'aménagement est moderne et l'accueil professionnel. L'appartement studio est vraiment grand avec une partie cuisine et une partie salon dans la pièce principale, la chambre à part avec salle de bain attenante. Cette dernière est immense avec une grande douche (adaptée aux personnes handicapées). L'équipement est très complet avec machine à laver et sèche linge, planche à repasser, cuisine tout équipée (dont micro-onde). Le petit déjeuner est en revanche plutôt décevant : il consiste en un bon pour une boisson et un plat au café attenant à l'hôtel. Le choix de petit déjeuner sucrés y est limité.

Très bonne situation, à 10 min à pied du gros centre d'activité touristique, ou à 1 min en tramway. L'arrêt est juste devant l'hôtel, et il y a en 1 toutes les 2 min environs. L'accueil est excellent et les chambres confortables. Il y a eu un problème d'évacuation dans la salle de bain, et le personnel nous a de suite placé dans une chambre de catégorie supérieure pour toute la durée de notre séjour. La salle de sport est fonctionnelle, la piscine et le jacuzzi sur le toit sont les bienvenus, et il y a un parking souterrain qui coute bien moins cher que si on gare notre voiture dans la rue... De plus nous n'avons pas entendu de bruit la nuit: l'isolation phonique est donc bonne. On recommande!

Couldnt ask for anything better. Very central, clean and helpful staff. Great great place. My 16 yo daughter and her friend went to Goodlife. Very easy for them to get to after concert had finished and great for me to wait for them. Plenty for me to do because its right in the middle of the city. Fabulous hotel. great rooms. you can't beat the location. shopping at Melbourne central is right next door. "Short stay with a family in Melbourne"
Location was fantastic, a short walk away to good restauants and in the heart of the city. However, our apartment was very stuffy, luckily we could open windows. Furnishings were looking tired, and not as clean as what we would have liked. Showers were very good, plenty of water pressure. Service was very good. Valet parking for our car was available. "Odd little hotel in a great location"
Centrally located, and a good bet for a business budget hotel if you need to be in the CBD. Otherwise a little odd. The living area is strangely spacious, while the bedroom is pokey. There are no easily-accessed electricity points in the bedroom for charging a phone. "Good hotel but a bit over priced"
The hotel itself looks fairly old on the outside but inside is fairly good. The lifts were old and slow. The 'pool' and spa were half broken but still usable. Our room was on the 9th floor facing the construction of the new myer building which was a bit annoying as it was loud but it really didn't bother us as we were out all day. Overall it was good […] but I would probably stay somewhere else just because it is over priced for what you get. We stayed for three nights at a very good price the hotel was clean and the room too, the staff were all very nice and helpful, I needed to confirm my flight and didn't have my laptop with me the staff let me use the computer at the front desk which was great, we liked the room because the lounge was seperate to the bedroom, it had a small kitchenette […] which was just the right size, and a good size bathroom. We were on the 5th floor and didn't hear much noise only on saturday night, the location is great tram stop out the front and only one block away from the train station, not far to the victorian markets, southbank and sporting arenas would stay there again Lisez la suite

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our holiday and wished we had found the hotel when we stayed in Melbourne earlier on in our trip. The location is fab - just over 5 minute walk straight down Elizabeth street to Flinders Station / Federation Square and surrounded by shops, cafes and places to eat. Our room was massive! "The Somerton on Elizabeth St; a bed for the night!"
The basic requirement when reserving accommodation is so that you have somewhere to sleep for the night, whether that is during business travel, travelling on holiday from here to there or just resting in between seeing all that's on offer in a city. At the Somerton this basic requirement is less important than having tea making facilities or two TV's […] on offer. Their booking system does not take care of the basic need for beds and as I found out to my disgust, if booking for more than the standard two people in a room (I was there with my two kids for the night), you have to make a special request for an extra bed. The booking form specifically asked me for the ages of the children and confirmed the room was for two grown up kids and one adult! When I went back down to reception to sort this out, I was told that 'the Australian Open is on so we are very busy'. So now this was me causing the hotel an inconvenience. How selfish of me! The extra 'roll-away' bed was another $50, which I wouldn't have paid for the bed if I had been buying it! The bed itself ended up being mine and it was very uncomfortable. The TV in the main room didn't work properly (nor did the remote), the room had a sweaty smell to it which was quite unpleasant in certain areas and although the room was adequately sized and catered for most needs, it was in need of a revamp. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anybody through fear of causing disappointment. Melbourne is a great city and the accommodation supporting it should be the same. Lisez la suite

"Friendly staff, great location"
We spent four nights at Somerset on Elizabeth and were very happy with our choice. The room was large with a seperate bedroom, clean and in a great location. The staff were helpful and friendly. No complaints and would definitely stay again.

location, location, lcation. Ths hotel was in the best spot of the city, everything was in walking distance and the rooms were lovely nice and big with a king bed and lounge room. i would defiantly stay there again A+

The only problem was the road noise from eight floors down. Very surprised there was no commercial grade glass or double glazing on the windows.
"A noisy place to stay"
The location of the hotel is good with supermarkets and trams easily accessible. I felt safe walking around the area. The current issue is the building works next door - its not just one building but two. There were no workers at the Sat/Sun until midnight Sunday and they worked through til morning and then the jack hammers started. If you want to sleep […] forget it. We liked the very central location of the hotel but were disappointed because our room was nothing like any of the pictures offered on the booking webpage. Moreover, you would not expect to find black mould around the bottom of the shower recess in a 4 1/2 star hotel.

It was really clean, has quality to it and the customer service is really nice people, make it clear and notified you of any additional costs (eg, deposit required). Had plenty of room, it was cosy and warm and a full kitchen scale! The bed is really comfortable, the view won't be pleasurable since there are buildings all around but it won't bother […] you if you're not about looking outside, more about partying or shopping! Only one thing I disliked about it was there was two slow lifts, and sometimes the keycard wouldn't verify the lift to move it, you might have to do it again and again to get the green light and move to the floor you want to go to. The hotel was very conveniently located. Trams pass the door. Within walking trip to Vic Markets & Flinders St Station - In the centre of the CBD. Room was very large, comfortable and very quiet. Would stay on future visits.

The Somerset serviced apartments are in an excellent city centre location close to shops,restaurants and nightlife.There is a tram stop right outside the door and Melbourne Central station a 3 min walk away.Staff were very friendly and helpful and prompt at responding to requests. The apartments were quiet even noise from traffic was surprisingly low […] considering the busy central location.The accomodation was clean,spacious and well equipped, we had 2 televisions(1 in the lounge and 1 in the bedroom) the washing machine and dishwasher were much appreciated. We stayed on the 4th floor which was right beside the breakfast room,gym,spa and rooftop garden.Overall I would recommend the Somerset to anyone visiting Melbourne CBD and I would definitely stay there again.
