"Urban Hotel St Kilda"
We found the hotel was everything we needed and the reception staff totally on the ball. The location could not have been better.Housekeeping were a little slow in replenishing tea, coffee, milk etc but when asked were happy to comply. Would definitely stay again.
"Fantastic location"
Nice, clean and great value for money...
"Great location"
Overall a nice hotel in agreat location . St Kilder is the right place to be for a stay in Melbourne .
"Hotel Urban St. Kilda"
This hotel was exactly as I had hoped it would be. It was a block from the beach, an easy tram ride to City Center and Melbourne Park, right in the midst of all sorts of great bars and restaurants. The only disappointment was no maid service on Australia Day, but understandable I guess. A very comfortable, convenient and thoroughly modern place. We […] considered the rates reasonable and the concierge help to hire a car was outstanding. Lisez la suite
"Name Tags"
The staff obviously tried really hard and were pleasant and courteous. Personally, I like name tags as names are so important.
"Nice Little Hotel in St Kilda Blocks from Beach"
This Hotel is located few blocks from the Beach and bars and restaurants. This Hotel is on Fitzroy St. You can take the Tram to city across the street. Very convenient 20 minutes ride. The street Hotel is in is kind of sketchy but once you are in Hotel is nice and quiet. We got upgraded to a bigger room (king size) just because we asked =). Rooms are […] clean, clean towels, safe box, got free internet but they are starting to charge. If you get free internet on your booking ask them for it and they will give you internet for free. The Hotel is a bit pricey but everything is very expensive in Australia. If you are a couple or two people this Hotel will be a better deal than a Hostal. Nice warm shower and clean bathroom. Have fun! Lisez la suite

"Hotel Urban, St. Kilda - I would recommend it."
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Urban, St Kilda. Very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again when I next come to Melbourne.
"Good staff, good for St Kilda"
My room was a little disappointing on arrival as I was expecting more from the Urban. What made up for an average initial reaction was the way the staff tried their hardest to make the stay better. The best aspects of this stay were the proximity to the beach, the free use of the St K Sea Baths (well worth an early swim) and a decent cafe downstairs […] for breakfast. Don'y overpay as the rooms are average at best. Lisez la suite
"Once a stylish boutique hotel is no more."
Hotel Urban used to be a great boutique hotel called The Marque. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill a lot since those days. There was a constant smell throughout the hotel and the decor is tired and in need of an update. Despite it's awesome location in busy St Kilda, there are better value for money hotels that don't charge for parking and are much […] newer in Melbourne. Lisez la suite

Hotel has everything you need for a breakaway in Melbourne. Close to great cafe's & restaurants, trams with the advantage of being in a seaside area.
"Hotel Urban in St Kilda Melbourne"
I chose this hotel based on other reviews and was so happy I did. Our room was super clean and comfortable with modern decor. It's so close to the beach that we wandered down every afternoon to watch the sun set and it's surrounded by restaurants - try Siam bar and restaurant over the road YUM then just cross the road back to your clean comfy bed! Oh […] and the staff were super friendly too. Lisez la suite
"Great stay!"

"Hotwl Urban St Kilda Melbourne"
It is a quirky hotel in a fantastic location with the St Kilda shops a 10 minute walk and the beach a 1 minute walk away. The tram stop was right across the road so very convienient. We were unlucky enough to arrive on the one day of the month they have a craft market in the hotel corrider and lobby and it was very awkward getting to the reception and […] the lift with our suitcases and we didn't get a good first impression. However once we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised and the king bed was very comfortable. We had 2 nights here and wished it was longer. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Urban St Kilda"
Hotel was in a great location, very handy. We booked a King Deluxe and the room was a good size. The hotel supplied a cot including linen, free of charge. The only downside was the single lift, which is exceptionally slow. Would definitely stay there again.
"hotel urban..very central"
stayed here for 3 nights..staff very helpful and anythin we asked for was brought to our room within minutes..room was very spacious..king size bed was huge..location was very near everthing but just be careful walking around outside on your own
"Urban St Kilda will stay again!"
Came from US and stayed for nine nights and felt the hotel to be a home away from home. Very friendly staff with helpful tips that got me oriented to the area. Nice coffee shop in lobby that opens early in AM and makes terrific latte! Beds are very comfortable, mini-bar pricey, but free membership to nearby health club is great bonus, as is St Kilda […] beach area overall. Good restaurants and bars nearby, as is Aucland Street for shopping. Great place overall, hope to stay again. Lisez la suite

"The Hotel Urban St. Kilda (Melbourne, Australia)"
This is a great spot if you want to experience a more local vibe to Melbourne, because you're about 2 miles out of the downtown of Melbourne (roughly a 20 minute tram ride). Also, the beach is literally 200 meters from the hotel. The Museli with berries was delicious and all the food they brought out from the look was great. The staff was friendly. […] The elevator was unique as it was covered by a picture of the beach from floor to ceiling so it made you feel like you were walking on the board walk...I only mention this because the artsiness of the elevator speaks to the trendy/modern/artistic theme of the hotel in general. The hotel is only 4 stories so it's not very big...however, Wi-Fi is free and fast and the business center has two Macbook laptops and a printer. In addition, the best thing about the Hotel Urban St. Kilda was the complimentary membership to the Sea Baths...The Sea Baths is a spa/gym/pool complex that is literally on the beach about 200 meters from the hotel. They have saunas and hot salt baths and salt pools and showers and a massive gym and spin and yoga rooms...it's amazing! We went there everyday we could...several times a day in fact...because the showers were so much better. The hotel is also good because access to public transport (which is amazing in Melbourne) is super easy...literally 10 meters from the hotel is the tram line. So, good beds, good food, good perks, good transportation, good beaches, good people,....just a good place.. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Urban St. Kilsa-My Review-End December 2010"
They were expecting us on arrival at reception. Friendly, pleasant young chap welcomed us and i 3 minutes we were up in our room. yes, we liked the lift deco surprise! You all...go and see for yourselves-won't spoil it for you. Smallish room but very clean, very minimalistic, functional...therein also lies it's charm, actually. Likes the radio by the […] best-small but great sound quality. What you all would really appreciate is...free WIFI internet in your rooms....something of a rarity9or should I say, in grave danger of being extinct!-like a few of the endangered species of animals you all will read about as you tour the Grt Ocean Rd) in almost ALL other Victoria hotels, and we have done quite a few the last 1 week or so. Kudos to Urban st Kilda! The only drawback-a bit far from town. St. Kilda itself looks a bit tired and rough around the edges. Can be hard looking for free parking at nights, the hotel charges 15$ a night for their parking compound. Also you get a feeling of the car not being very safe from vandalism while it's out there on its own at night. Lisez la suite
"Urban Hotel, St Kilda"
Great friendly staff, convenient location, clean and comfortable room. Only downside, being St Kilda, some very noisy neighbours from other properties.
"Hotel Urban St Kilda"
Handy to heaps of restaurants-St Kilda Esplanade, Luna Park and Acland St- simple, stylish with everything you need. Friendly staff very accommodating
GREAT CLEAN HOTEL IN THE MIDDLE OF ST KILDA WITH UNDERCOVER PARKING. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
"Hotel Urban St Kilda"
Absolutely fantastic. Staff super friendly and helpful. Safe, secure, quiet, clean & comfortable. Will go back again & highly recommend it to anyone. Breakfast was delicious, not around for any other meals. Perfect location to enjoy St Kilda.
"Urban Hotel St Kilda in Melbourne"
The hotel is of A class, as they come make your bed, provide fresh towels daily & replace any toiletries used daily as well. The hotel is within walking distance to beach and famous acland st. The trams are just a 2 min walk from hotel. The reception is maned 24/7 & the staff are more than happy to help with directions etc. I would highly recommend […] this hotel to anyone & I would definitely have no hesitation in returning to this hotel. "Hotel Urban St Kilda - Not posh but very funky"
Stayed at the Urban St Kilda for two nights over a weekend and can't recommend it highly enough. We happened to be there the weekend that the Melbourne Marathon created havoc with road closures, but the guy at the desk googled his heart out trying to find the best way for us to get to where we needed to be on time. He certainly went above and beyond […] the call. It's in a great location (go to Chinta Blues around the corner if you want good Malaysian food) with eight million cafes nearby and a tramstop pretty much out the front. It's St Kilda so expect some colourful personalities. The only thing I'd say is that our deluxe room was very clean and tidy but wasn't what you'd call deluxe. But for the price it was very good value for money, and I'd stay again in a heartbeat. Oh and the beds are to die for. Lisez la suite
Bedding is very comfy, room is big enough, bath would be appreciated, very well situated, breakfast at restaurant is good with friendly service.
"Great value hotel in St Kilda"
Our room was not overly large, but the furnishings and fit-out was up-to-date and in good condition, and the king-size bed was really comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The bathroom was a good size, with a large walk-in shower, big mirrors and well-lit. And (Thank You!) a magnifying mirror for shaving or make-up. This little touch is often […] missing in more expensive hotels, and that really bugs me. Our room was on the side of the building, so we couldn't hear any traffic noise. Our friends who stayed in a room overlooking busy Fitzroy St, said their windows were double glazed, but they could hear the trams, but only slightly. Their room was quite a bit bigger, with plenty of room for a roll-away bed for the third person. My only negative comments would be: 1: it would've been nice to be able to open the window for fresh air (but on the positive side, the heating/cooling unit was very efficient and easy to operate) 2: I personally didn't like the lingering smell of cleaning materials - kind of like cheap perfume (but again, on the positive side, everything was very clean) 3: one sliding door to half of the closet was unusable as the bedside cabinet was too close, but we could access the hanging space from the other end, so we were able to manage. The hotel is in quite a trendy hip young part of town, with lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby, and the tram stop is close. I think it's a great place to stay if you don't have to be in the CBD. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful, and I recommend this hotel as being very good value and I would stay here again. Ticks all the boxes for me: good price, big clean comfortable bed, big clean well-lit bathroom, good location. And they have free WiFi - why don't all hotels do this? Lisez la suite
"Hotel Urban St Kilda"
Quiet & clean room. Very comfy bed, large soft towels. Very convenient location (Tram stop out front) surrounded by great food and bars. Great value.!!
"Wonderful location; spotty, unprofessional service"
Urban, a former Accor brand that was let go, has great location, well appointed rooms, and an odd sense of humor, exhibited in the shared spaces. It also offers free (and reasonably reliable) wi-fi and a gym. So far, so good. The real trouble begins where the corporate headquarters now longer supports - service and professionalism. The front desk staff […] is occasionally helpful, occasionally asleep. The housekeeping staff is sometimes present, sometimes gone. The restaurant is abandoned, because getting breakfast service takes 15-25 minutes. The manager (Marcus?), whom we asked to speak with after several dismaying incidents with the staff, simply shrugged. He could not care less. Lisez la suite

"Very nice hotel, perfect location"
We were very pleased with this hotel, and had no noice at all from the streets as we could have feared. Fitzroy street is perfect with lots of restuarants and the St. Kilda beach nearby. The free internet was perfect ! - parking a bit expensive though.
