Hotel al Piave - Venise

Un accueil poli, certes professionnel mais sûrement pas chaleureux et empathique. On répond à nos questions, sans plus. L'anglais est de mise, une seule personne s'exprimant en français sur tout le personnel rencontré durant la durée de notre passage.

Hotel had no lift and with a broken foot, the 3rd floor wasnt ideal.Staff were very good but the hotel was much older than the wedsite indicates and not value for money. Cheaper more central & better quality hotels are available, our friends stayed in one that was much easier to find and far better quality.I would say this hotel is only a 2 star

Great location and good breakfast. It was a little difficult to find and expensive using private water taxis but it was convenient to most major attractions and restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone

The room was a little small but that is to be expected from a 3 start hotel in Venice or Italy in general. The hotel and room was clean and well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good and went till 10:30 which is nice if you are not an early riser. The hotel is five minutes from both the water buses and San Marco […] so it's located in a good spot. It's also quiet which is important after a day of getting lost in Venice. Getting lost is half the fun though. When you get off the train take the water bus to San Zaccaria. When visiting Venice, there are a plethora of hotels to choose from. Some are cheap hostels that can be good for college students. Some are super expensive for the rich. If you're looking for one that is moderately priced, Hotel Al Piave is a top notch choice. The hotel is centrally located, making it within easy walking distance of most places in […] Venice. When you first arrive in Venice either by public transit boat, shuttle boat or taxi boat, you'll need to get off at the S. Zaccaria landing, which is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel provides easy walking directions from this dock on their site. The hotel itself is very clean, with a friendly staff. They even let us use the dining area when it was closed to eat lunch we brought back to the hotel. In the mornings, a free full breakfast is provided. They also provide a free shuttle service to Murano at any time that is convenient for you. While the hotel is centrally located and easily walkable from most tourist sites, it's on a quiet road so that you aren't bothered with the hustle and bustle like some of the hotels in Venice. I had read the reviews saying that this hotel is hard to find and thought "how hard is it to find a hotel in Venice?" This hotel is VERY hard to find. If you have luggage - DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL. This was perfect for our one night stay following a cruise. The room was small, but clean. Free breakfast available, but didn't eat as we had to leave for the hotel before the breakfast started.

We had a very nice stay at Al Piave. There's nothing fancy about it, but it was quite adequate for our purposes. We got the basic double room which was extremely small. Another time I think I would go up a notch, pay more, and get a larger room. It's listed as a 3-star hotel, but it would seem more comparable to a 2-star here in the USA. Many other reviewers indicated it was difficult to find, but we had no trouble, even arriving at night, because we researched the location ahead of time to the nth degree! This family run hotel is a real gem. The staff are extremely helpful and the atmosphere of the hotel is exceptional. Some think it is difficult to find. I disagree. You only have to print the map from the site of the hotel and follow the instructions. It took us five minutes to find it at 4:00 in the morning. Breakfast is more than adequate. Well located, between St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge. Clean room, comfortable beds, facility well maintained. Breakfast was good with fresh eggs made upon request. Management very nice and helpful. Expensive for the room size and overall nature of hotel (3 star), but that is typical for Venice, where everything is overpriced. We loved the Hotel al Piave. It was a very convenient location (only a few minutes from St. Mark's Square) and a great rate. There were nice restaurants within 500 feet of the hotel, as well as cold drinks, snacks, and small shops. We had a two room suite with a shared bath and it worked out great for us. I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights in the spring with my 87 year old grandmother. It is situated close to the piazza San Marco, shopping, restaurants and a vaporetto stop, but despite this the street was very quiet. The staff was very amiable and attentive to any needs, the breakfast was fresh, with great coffee. The only negative thing I […] can think of is the fact that the hotel does not have an elevator, but this seems to be the case throughout all of Venice. Great Hotel in the center of Venice.

Fantastiskt hotell för att vara trestjärnigt! Rummen var rena och fina och städades noggrant varje dag. Bekväma sängar och fräscht badrum med riktig toalett. Klimatkontrollen/airconditionen på rummet var guld värd i juli! Receptionen är enligt utsago från portiern, bemannad till omkring midnatt varje dag. Frukosten på hotellet är ganska basic men […] helt ok och fylls ständigt på. Man får även kaffe/choklad speciellt brygd till en, stort plus! Sparar många slantar! Det är lätt att ta sig till hotellet/flygplatsen och läget är bra med massor av sevärdigheter inom en kort promenad. Hotellet ligger dock på en lugn gata och man kunde somna utan problem.
