Trés bonne localisation, juste à la sortie de la Gare Centrale de Copenhague. 15min par train direct entre l'aeroport et l'hôtel. Ayant l'habitude de voyager beaucoup, je dirais que c'est plus le confort d'un 3 que 4 étoiles. Bon Petit déjeuné. Le chauffage au sol dans la salle de bain est appréciable. Pas de baignoire, juste une douche.

Ais général plutôt favorable, malgré quelques réserves : - l'hotel est vieillissant, avec une déco classique à l alimite du ringard, comme si son heure de gloire était passée..la façade était en trvaux,et ce n'était donc pas forcément agréable de ne voir sur toute la hauteur de la façade qu'un échafaudage - l'hôtel est situé face à la gare, ce qui peut […] se voir comme un avantage (on peut mettre 20 minutes montre en main de l'aéroport à l'hôtel en prenant le train) ou comme un inconvénient : le passage continu de trains s'avère assez bruyant. Les fenêtres sont équipées de double vitrage - ces inconvénients sont compensés par un personnel très accueillant, très sympathique, et très serviable prompt à se démener pour répondre à toutes les questions, le sourire en plus. - Rien à dire sur la propreté et le confort, très corrects; de même que la taille de la chambre, spacieuse - Bonne surprise pour les fumeurs : toutes les chambres du 5 ème étage sont fumeurs, avec même un petit balcon certes donnant sur la voie ferrée mais aussi sur les toits de Copenhague où il est agréable de s'accouder - Petit déjeuner très correct également; rien de transcendant (café très moyen), mais un buffet satisfaisant offrant une bonne variété de mets salés et sucrés - Une situation centrale tout près des jardins de Tivoli, pratique mais sans grand charme pour ce quartier très touristique Donc au final, un avis favorable; l'essentiel est là : confort, propreté, amabilité, bon rapport qualité prix. Hôtel rétro, avec beaucoup de charme, grande chambre avec hauteur sous plafond, balcon. Petits-déjeuners excellents. La situation est idéale (gare, tivoli, rues commercantes). Cependant, quelques imperfections: le bruit des trains est incessant. L'hôtel est vieillisant, la moquette des couloirs aurait besoin d'être refaite. Petit 4 étoiles.

Hotel confortable, qui aurait besoin d'un sérieux lifting (douches et taches par-ci par-là). Literie de bonne qualité. Climatisation hors d'usage... pourtant nécessaire car impossible d'ouvrir la fenêtre la nuit sans être réveillé par le bruit des trains sur la voie ferrée en bas. Ne correspond pas à un 4 étoiles.

Ceci correspond parfaitement au niveau des standards des 4 étoiles en Europe. Parfaitement situé, très bon accueil, style Danois, confort et propreté impeccables

Charming hotel very good located next to Copenhagen H. The Library bar is amazing, and worth a visit itself. Got a fair prize for four persons, and would definitely use it again. Helpful staff.

beautiful old world hotel, right near Copenhagen central station. tourist information centre across the road. room was large and comfortable, the staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. would definately stay here again and would highly recommend it.

A triple room on the 6th floor was just excellent: it had enough space and it was clean. The corridor was quiet during night time. Service was very friendly at the reception. Breakfast was good - although the furniture in the breakfast room was too old: broken and dirty chairs. We really enjoyed our stay at Plaza, lovely room, lovely bathroom and even a tiny balcony towards the Tivoli! The hotel has a "library bar" wich was one of a kind. We´ll come back, soon !

Advantages: Friendly staff, valet parking, position in center of Copenhagen. Disadvantages: The aircondition in our first family-room was very noisy, but the service was good and we got a new room. Unfortunately the room-temperature was "hot" in both rooms and it was not possible to adjust it, which ment we slept very badly.

The hotel was charming and had a lovely breakfast. I prefer a newer hotel. The shower was not hot enough and the hairdryer was pretty old ( had to hold town s button to keep it running ) The service was fine. I just think it needs s little updating

The hotel is very close to the train station and in walking distance to the central part of the city (Strögetgade and Nyhavn). It old hotel but for Copenhagen in a pretty good shape. Good choice for one or two nights or if your're on a business tip. The surroundings are not so scenic. There are for sure more picturesque places for a honey moon trip […] or a romantic weekend. Very conveniently located next to the station, with a sense of somewhat faded grandeur but still a perfectly pleasant place to stay. The library bar is a rare treasure - a hotel bar visited by non-guests.

I have stayed in several other Profil Hotels, so I had some rather high expectations. I mostly enjoyed my stay at the Coppenhagen Plaza. The room was clean, comfortable, reasonably quite (winter rate), and quite (after the traffic died down in the evening). The beds were comfortable (although not as comfortable as the Hastens beds in the Hotel Uppsala). […] However, i will agree with some other comments that I have seen online that the hotel is in need of some re-freshening. Just a few things here and there that could use a little TLC (mainly in the bathroom). I would probably stay there again on a future visit, but maybe not in the Spring or Summer as it is in a rather high traffic area. Lisez la suite

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. When I arrived I was told that I got a free upgrade to a larger room, not bad. The room was on the 1st floor with windows facing in. The hotel and room was fairly clean but very dated. The room badly needed a makeover but for 1 night it was acceptable. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm - maybe too warm. […] I couldn't find a way to control the thermostat. I would have liked to turn it off during the night because of the noise of heater/air conditioner. Breakfast was ample and good. The hotel has a charm to it but needs a makeover. We took three rooms because family of five children and two adults: so had a good chance to review more than one room thereby minimising chance occurrences. We were placed in 3 rooms without views even though it was their quite season and room availability was not a problem.Childrens rooms had a broken bed which was unusable because most of the slats […] were removed from bed base and first child fell through bed as a result. The next foldout bed was not able to be used despite best attempts of maid to open it. All rooms were dated and the whole hotel needs a remake and serious maintenance issues. Our initial room was a revelation with a hair extension under the mattress.Has been there a long time because staining into fabric. My wife checks for bed bugs hence the find. We were moved into another room and although this one had a view it had the defective fold out bed. The hotel is very well located and the bones including elevators and paintings are very quaint but you have to sleep too so I felt pretty poor quality overall. Lisez la suite

Plaza Hotel was a minute 's walk from the Copenhagen station and although I had read several reviews re the area we found the hotel to be in an excellent position with respect to wonderful nearby restaurants, the tourist office and a short walk to the main downtown area.Ô The Library Bar is splendid, with great woodwork and an old world charm about […] it. Buffet breakfast could not be faulted. However, maintenance needs to be done on the grouting in the bathroom as mould was showing through around the bath! Problems were encountered with the laundry service but hopefully these will soon be resolved but frankly would suggest you do not use it. Lisez la suite

Charming hotel but could use new paint and floor carpet.

Took me while to choose this hotel but so glad we did. The location was perfect for a Christmas break when travelling with a family (2 Adults, 3 year old & a 3 month old baby). The hotel was across the road from Tivoli Gardens which was magical for a christmas experience. Hotel was also opposite central station which we used to get the train to Malmo […] in Sweden for the day. The main shopping street was a short walk which was lovely with all the lights & authentic Christmas markets. The hotel was very homely old fashioned look which we loved the even had Christmas music playing in the old style lift. The only slight complaint I have was that the room was too hot and that the concierge wasn't very helpful with the luggage when we were leaving. Also twice they sent taxis that weren't big enough for the luggage although I explained what we needed to the concierge ask for "mini bus" instead of large taxi! Overall great stay Lisez la suite

This hotel has seen better days. Lobby was clean and nice but upstairs carpets need to be replaced. The bathroom was in working order but the shower was filthy. Only 9 channels on the TV and 3 of them were not working (and additionally, guests are not able to connect a laptop of DVD player to watch alternative programs). A very nice old hotel right next to the central train station. That makes it very convenient but if you get a room on the railway side there is a low rumble of passing trains all night. Not for light sleepers.

We have just returned from copenhagen where we stayed at the Plaze, the service was excellent. We hada lovely room overlooking Tivoli Gardens. The hotel is about 1 minute walk from the train station. After returning from Sweden we asked the hotel if we could leave our bags there for the day and they had no issue at all, a very good after service which […] they didnt have to do! The facilities and Library bar were really good as was a very nice breakfast spread of hot and cold food. when we return to Copenhagen we will definitieley be staying there again Lisez la suite

While this hotel is a bit tired looking, it does seem like they are in the middle of a refurbishment. We had a quad room and it was very comfortable. My only issue was that the pillows were so thin that you need three to make the size of a normal pillow. The breakfast was very good and the hotel location is fantastic. The Plaza is a typical Copenhagen (CPH) hotel - quite a lot of money for not a lot of room quality. In other cities, this would be considered a poor hotel, but keep in mind the context of CPH hotels, especially the inner city ones; they are all around this standard. Location is fantastic, really close to everything you could want to see and do and […] immediate access to the excellent CPH train network. The hotel itself is retro and funky, with classic old wood paneling and old school elevator. Room was neat and comfortable, bathroom was fine. Room faced directly onto the main switching yard for CPH Central Train Station, so it was very noisy. Recommend if you are staying here, spend enough money to get a premium room facing the city. All in all the experience was OK, but realistically you can get most of the above for 30 - 40% less in other hotels in the area. Strict planning and building preservation laws mean that the new, stylish hotels which meet modern standards are all out in the suburbs (Kastrup, Bella Center, etc). Lisez la suite

Booked a superior room, after reading various reviews about size of standard rooms. It was a lovely very large room, could be described as more of a junior suite, two full height windows, with balconies, on the station side of the hotel. Other reviews are right, you cannot hear any train noise, although there is street and traffic noise until after […] 11pm. Didn't bother us though and very quiet after that until well past 8am. The location can't be beaten, within an easy 5 minute walk to the main shopping area and straight across from Tivoli and the Hard Rock Cafe, with taxis being so expensive (along with everything else in the city!), it was a bonus to be so near the efficient and plentiful public transport system. Trains run every 10mins straight to the airport. The hotel is a beautiful, elegant place inside, albeit a little bit worn in places, this for us just added to its charm. The staff were welcoming and very efficient, we checked in before 2pm and were given our room straight away. The room also was a little bit worn, decor-wise, but clean and with a comfy bed. The pillows were my only gripe, small and only one each, I hunted for spare ones, but there weren't any, however Reception would supply. The Library bar is a must to visit in the evenings, cosy, dark and very romantic! Breakfast was buffet style, with lots of choice of continental options, less so with hot food, but there is more than plenty to fill up on to last you the day, well presented and efficient service too. I would definitely recommend the hotel and we will return there again, getting a superior room seems well worth the supplement, which was not a large difference. Very pleased! Lisez la suite

Very awesome location. Within easy walking distance of everything. Don't think there could possibly be a better location if you're sightseeing. Might be a tad shopworn but his place has a lot of history. In the lobby there is an illustration of the train station/hotel/Tivoli Gardens from the turn of last century to put it in context. Check out the plaque […] in the Lobby that surrounds one of the pillars to see who else has stayed here and you'll see names from Springsteen to Gerald Ford. It's a great, slightly decadent, old gal of a hotel with an ancient brass/glass elevator. Lot of street noise late night due to revellers so near the station. Lisez la suite

we were in the hotel from 17-24 of august, 2011. the location cant be better, we were with kids so it was fantastic to be near all important attractions and the train station!! the bathroom is not so clean, but breakfast was great and the bed was super comfortable..it was an o.k hotel !!

This hotel was very comfortable and in a great location in Copenhagen. We enjoyed our balconey, which overlooked the Tivoli amusement park. Even though we were directely accross the street the park was not noisy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that we didn't get a king or queen bed. Normally I wouldn't bother with these surveys, but I have never been in a smaller or more cramped hotel room in my entire life. Clean, quiet, and so small you had to step around the furniture to enter the room. Too expensive for what you get in a single room.

i was in town for business and had a rental car. After reading reviews here I was a little concerned... but the negatives mentioned just are not true. I have been in Europe for 3 weeks on business and this was one of the best values and best hotels that I stayed at. The hotel is right by the central station for those traveling by rail. It is also virtually […] across the street from Tivoli and just a short walk to the Stroget (Shopping) and then to Nynhaven. My single room was large and very clean and modern. The free breakfast buffet was great and one of the best that I have had on my trip. The Who Who's list posted in the lobby will amaze you on who has stayed here. We got this hotel based on the other reviews we read stating that it is in a great location (which is very true) but a bit dated (which is a real understatement). The hotel is quite old, and our room in particular was quite dirty. We found hair on our towels, blood stains on the mattress, and other bits of dinginess. This hotel was directly across from the railway station. The area was just around the corner from Tivoli Park and very close walking distance to the Mall and many sight seeing attractions. We walked everywhere from this location. The reception area was a small boutique type and very friendly. All old wood and beautiful. Elevators throughout are small […] by nature. The staff at the front desk was very welcoming and helped us many times with information. They all spoke English fluently. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a small balcony overlooking the beautiful architecture of the railway station and the tracks. It had two sets of doors that opened tot he street. We did not mind the small amount of noise from the trains. We could have asked for a room on the street side but liked our corner room. The bathroom was very modern and clean with full compliment of toiletries. We had a small sitting area off the bedroom with a sofa, chair and desk. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a safe, which was important to us. Breakfast in the morning was on the main floor and it was amazing. It had many cheeses, cold cut meats. Lox, yoghurt, fruit, breads, cereals, juices, hot eggs, tea and coffee. There was so much we did not need lunch-it carried us through the day. They have umbrellas if it rains. We bought ponchos before leaving Canada and used them many times throughout Scandinavia. We give this hotel a highly recommend review. Lisez la suite

The staff was friendly, and helpful. They had a delicious breakfast with a large variety to chose from traditional danish to cereal. I would recommend this hotel to any one in Copehagen

I was so sick when we got to the Hotel 7 hours before our check in time, They gave me a room to sleep in until ours was ready, then gave us early check in. The location is awesome, the food was Great!!! I am Danish so a lot of good stuff for me. All the Staff speaks English and are very helpful. MANGE TAK!!!

Old world charm, service with a smile, and a place my family and I look forward to visiting again. The Copenhagen Plaza is more than a hotel, it is a place you to call home with out having to cook.

excellent location near the city center and opposite the central station (direct train to the airport or Sweden) but a bit noisy despite the double glazing. Staff is really nice and professional. Divided on recomending hotel to others as had a number of problems during stay with room, however staff was great in correcting all (wronrg size room when we checked in, AC did not work in 2nd room, hotel staff did move us to a junior suite which was much better. we were travelling with 2 young kids (6 &4). Highly recommend breakfast buffet as was outstanding. […] Overall experience satisfactory, but would check rates in other hotels before staying again. This is a wonderful hotel, right next to the train station. Cost 36 Kr (US 7.20) to get on a train to the airport... this is even better than staying in a hotel near an airport. Tivoli Gardens is across the street and the main tourist walk, and museums, too. Just super! Free breakfast is included and available until 10:30 weekdays, and 11:30 Sat and […] noon on sunday. The Copenhagen Plaza, while an older building, was a very nice place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very nice and filling. My only complaint was I personally didn't like the pillows on the bed, much too soft for my taste. They didn't have any firmer ones when I asked.

The hotel was old and full of character although when we stayed the hotel was having work done so was covered in scaffolding. We had to move rooms as there was a guy working right outside our window! The service was good, although I would not agree that it is a 4* Hotel more like a 3* Hotel. Breakfast was basic and when we got there are 10am was very […] much picked over and we had to keep asking for things. The bar was good although shut at 10.30pm. Stay here! The proximity of the Plaza to the Central station and sights of Copenhagen could not be better. Yes, you can hear the trains and yes it is a busy city! However as value for money in a major city it is hard to beat and the staff are excellent. While there two things you should note note: 1. pay the extra for a Superior Room - I have stayed […] in both types and the Superior is far nicer! 2. Take a few minutes to read all the names of people who have stayed there over the years. They are located on a pillar on the left hand side of the main reception as you enter. I promise you will feel a part of the who's who and a return the good ol' days. Bottom line - ignore the whining about the noise of the station - this is a grand old hotel conveniently located in a major city and not a beach resort so enjoy it for what it is! Lisez la suite
