"RAMADA HOTEL AND SUITE pratique en famille"

"Perfect of Excel"
Clean, polite, spacious and a rather warm hotel! However, we were a little disappointed that of the 3 twin rooms and 1 double booked, we only got 1 twin (the rest were doubles). No explaination other than being fully booked. The odd thing was that of the group 2 checked in late and got the twin room! Managed to get a sofa bed made up in the one room […] which most needed the twin, functional but not the most ideal. Overall, we would stay here again if we wanted to stop in the docklands. "Great Location for London City Airport"
This is in a great location for easy access to London City Airport. The family room was very spacious and very comfortable. Good hotel rate. The staff were very friendly and very efficient. I have always been pleased with the Ramada brand.
"Great stay at Ramada Docklands."
This is the best all round hotel I have stayed in. The room was very spacious warm, and had everything you would want for a comfortable stay. Friendly staff good food and very reasonable rate. I would recommend and go back again.

"Ramada - Docklands - London city"
Hotel just where we wanted it., near London City airport and from the advertising, with a view of the docks. Upgraded to a suite which was very pleasant, but pity that rooms with a view of the docks have the noise and the quiet rooms llike ours look out over the car park and other rooms. However, hope all bathrooms are not like the one we had. No bath […] - but perhaps this is standard in Ramada hotels - and the shower for disabled hardly catered for the ablebodied - only place to put soap/conditioner/flannel etc was balanced on the closed disabled seat which took up a large portion of the shower; it made showering very awkward. The manager in the dining room was extremely pleasant but - oh dear - the food. It was awful and bore only a passing glance to the description on the menu or to Italian food. We did not bother to breakfast at the hotel the next day - prefering to get a snack at London City Airport. Lisez la suite
"Ramada London Docklands - Great Access to London"
We stayed for two nights and found the accommodations and staff to be great. Everyone was more than willing to help us get around the city. Close to the Prince Regent DLR and bus stop, and really close to London City Airport. Great food and service at the bar and the English breakfast buffet is a great way to start your day.
"Ramada hotel-near London city airport"
Fantastic hotel - needed for airport stay - very convenient for London city airport. I arrived to find they had upgraded me to a suite! Extremely happy customer!
"Ramada Hotel London Docklands"
The staff were pleasant. It was close to the DLR (though didn't look it at first). The bed was too springy for my personal taste and I wasn't fussed on the decor but nothing that should put anyone off staying. Was a good sized room for the price and the facilities were adequate.
"Hotel Ramada, London Docklands, UK"
Hotel accessible by subway but otherwise far from any shopping, restaurants, sights and other amenities. I had a function for 17 High Court Judges and this was the only hotel available at the time for such a large group
"Superb"
We have spent an enjoyable 3-night stay at this lovely hotel. Everything here reflected the class of the hotel or possibly more! I would strongly recommend it. Don't forget, if you are heading to the hotel by train, to get off at Prince Regent, the closest station, which is unforturnately not cited by hotels.com as such.

"Ramada - Docklands London"
This hotel was a good stay, close to the O2 where we were visiting. Hotel reception were helpful and booked us a taxi. Fridge and freezer in room which was a bonus! The only part of our stay which we were unhappy with was the room was booked for 3 people, the double bed was made up ok but there was only a double duvet in the cupbaord, no sheets or duvet […] cover or spare pillows. We arrived back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning and did not feel like calling reception to rectify this situation. If the room was booked for 3 people it should have been prepared for 3 people. Lisez la suite

"An OK bed for the night, but probably not 4 star."
We stayed for 2 nights as we had previously stayed at the Ramada in Hyde Park and were very impressed. However, this hotel is a kettle of fish. The rooms, restaurant and reception area are certainly well-appointed, but 3 main issues mean that we probably won't be staying at the Ramada Docklands in the future: -We booked a non-smoking room (in fact, […] I didn't think it was possible to have a smoking room these days) but when we arrived, we discovered our room smelled heavily of stale smoke. We got used to it and didn't bother to ask for a change, but it wasn't too pleasant. -The bed was a little uncomfortable. I know this is very subjective and if you're staying just for the night for an event at ExCEL or catching a flight from City Airport, you'll most likely be satisfied. -The main gripe we had with this hotel was the iron. It was originally missing from our room, so I requested one from reception and it was delivered within 10 minutes. When I turned it on, it smelled a bit odd and looked worn down, but I decided to give it a go.....one brief touch and the iron burned several holes straight through my shirt! We complained to reception that night and felt like we were being subjected to a police interview, the 2 night managers definitely did not want to accept responsibility. I was informed the housekeeping manager would be in before we left to "investigate" the matter. However, she wasn't in by the time we left, but luckily the nice daytime receptionist was helpful and asked me for the value of the shirt. About a week later, Ramada have sent me a letter confirming a refund for that value, so I consider that matter closed. A quick word about location; the hotel is in Zone 3, so it is more expensive to travel out to. However, you may find that the lower room rates offset this. 5 minutes away from the DLR station and adjacent bus terminus. 10 minutes to financial district, 25-30 to Central London (connecting with Jubilee Line.) In short, if you need to stay in thi Lisez la suite
"The Docklands Hotel next to London Excel"
Just got back from 5 days in London. Stayed in the Ramada Inn in East London (Docklands). The hotel is located by the River Themes in a very quiet area of London. The hotel and room was very clean and tidy. Good size room and comfortable bed. I dont have anything bad to say about this hotel of such. The only minus is that there is absolutely nothing […] in the near as for shops, kiosk, bars etc.....nothing but on the other hand I found it rather nice to get back to some peaceful suroundings after a hectic day around and about in London.Transportlinks are ok - a few min walk to the DLR. We got the room to a really good price due to August quiete times in London and for that price the alternatives would only have been much worse. Regards the former London girl C Lisez la suite
"Disappointing"
This was my second stay in the Ramada Docklands Excel, and I have to say it will definitely be my last. On arrival, I was allocated a twin room rather than the double I'd booked. When I returned to reception to show them my reservation and ask to be moved, I was treated with what I can only describe as complete and utter contempt by the receptionist. […] Apparently because I'd booked on hotel.com and received a discounted rate, I was not entitled to receive the room I'd booked! I was told the hotel had nothing to state it was a double room. I explained that I'd specifically requested it, and I showed them where the booking confirmation explicitly stated 'Double room'. I was then told, rather curtly, that there was no non-smoking double double room available. I pointed out again that this was what I'd booked, and showed her the booking confirmation again where it specifically said non-smoking. Eventually, after a lot of histrionics on her part, and her disappearing for a few minutes I was told they had a double room for me. Surprise surprise! Obviously, I'd been lied to initially. So I duly moved my stuff into a room on the top floor which had plant/machinery right outside obscuring the entire window and an incredibly loud humming noise which went on 24/7. Not having the heart to go through another round of fighting with reception, I decided to endure this, but vowed never to return to the hotel. I got no sleep on any of the nights I stayed there. Also, on a side note, the iron was broken and the hairdryer was faulty. Then, when I came to check out, just to add insult to injury, I inquired about the loyalty/rewards scheme which they had pushed to me via leaflets in the room and posters, and was told (by a different receptionist) that - since I'd booked through hotels.com I'd not be eligible (strange, other companies, e.g. Hilton Honours, etc. allow reward points regardless of the booking channel!) and - even worse - couldn't be bothered enrolling me and told me just to g Lisez la suite
"Ramada London Docklands - Quiet alternative"
The Ramada is a good alternative to a stay in Central London, Prince Regent DLR is a short walk away with a quick journey to Tower Hill or Bank for connections into London. The hotel itself is clean and staff are very pleasant, the room is all you need if a little small for the money but as long as you don't expect to spend much time in there it's fine. […] The breakfast buffet is nice enough but choice is a little limited and the same each day, some variety would be nice if you're staying for a few days but what was offered was nice and the breakfast staff were very attentive. One recommendation I would make if you're staying here is to buy drinks for your room before you head back to the hotel as far as we could tell there's no shops around. Lisez la suite
45 min from London via 3 trains, but easy to change at the stations. Bed was really bad so they gave us another room which was a smoking room that stunk so stay not the best Breakfast ok, no other eating options nearby so we didn't come back till late and had dinner in the city

Nice hotel, even upgraded room to a suite! A little difficult to locate from bus stop as dlr was not working but easy to find from the station when it was working.
"close to City Airport - not shop around"
It is a great location if you are flying at City Airport in early morning. The rooms are modern and clean. The only thing is that there is no shop or store around to get some snack or anything. Not a fan of hotel restuarant...
