This is a great hotel if you are going to spend most of your time outside of the room. The grounds are beautiful, the beach wonderful (lots of waves), the pool excellent. I went for a 7 night stay at this resort with my 4yo daughter. I was looking forward to enjoying most of the time with her and having her enjoy the kids club as well when she got bored of the beach and the pool. Be forewarned, the staff who run the Kid's Club aren't really interested in doing anything with the kids. Several times my daughter went over, […] stayed for an activity, and I found her unsupervised shortly thereafter. I was surprised about this because there is a policy clearly stating that once you sign forms and your child stays, the hotel is responsible. I complained to the manager, but still was sure to supervise my daughter when she chose to go to the club. For an entire day there was a sign posted that the staff were with kids playing by the pool, which was not true, it was because the staff did not want to take responsibility for doing anything with the kids that day and were found joking around with co-workers by the pool. If you are hoping that your kids might enjoy some of the resort and you are hoping to use the Kid's Club, don't choose this resort. The resort itself is great. Amazing location. Only complaints is that the rooms are way out-dated. I had to switch rooms twice because the first room I was given had no balcony and the second had A/C that was not functioning. The food was great at the buffet. You will get harassed on the beach by people selling things, they unfortunately do not stop after you tell them once. We got a very good deal on this hotel and it met our expectations. I wouldn't be happy if I paid more though. To put context on this review we're surfers/kitesurfers and our priority is to be wet and windy on the water, warm and dry off it, nice beers/drinks, chill out with locals or anyone on our wavelength, and take people at face value. The standard […] of the room was actually above our expectations with high vaulted ceilings. It was very clean and more than we requried. The bathroom was clean though suffered a bit from wear - a few cracked tiles and the shower door was broken so kept falling off. It was no big issue for us so we made do. The balcony was nice but only a view of another building. The cleaners did a great job when they came but were inconsistent - somtimes they'd miss the room or forget some of the towels. We were closer to the road side of the complex than the beach. On the plus side we were away from the noise of the entertainment. On the minus side we were close to the resort generators which were extremely noisy. There were two distinct noises - the low pitch roar of the fans and then an extremely high pitch ringing (I wasn't sure I could hear it or was it a ringing in my head but my partner confirmed after a few days). In my book this noise was better than the noise of the entertainment as at least it was constant and not varied. The entertainment were relatively good at their jobs though after a few days it got very repetetive. Also there were one or two of the crew who would approach you to take part in activities - Friendly on the approach but would mutter something under their breaths if you turnd them down. Muttered loudly enough that we could hear them - not loundly enough that we could hear what they said. It was nasty anyway. We went with the intention to eat out most nights. We were surprised at how expensive it was in Cabarete town and most of the restaurants were empty throughout the week as were the bars. The town knows all about Lisez la suite

We were 2 people staying in the room, we only got 2 towels to share, no face cloths, it is an all inclusive resort, only 2 water bottles left in the room, and that is all we got, when ask for more during the day we got water in a glass, I always like to take my water out to the ocean area when playing in the ocean, you can't take the glass to where […] the sand is or even out to the pool area. Some times when they clean your room you don't get clean towels right away, when ask for more they tell you your towels are in the laundry and will bring them to your room as soon as they are done. In all other resorts I have always been able to take food to my room, in this place it was not aloud, they stopped you at the exit and said no you cant take the food with you. I was really impressed with this hotel for a 3 star. I have stayed in many resorts in this area over the past 10 years and the food here is quite good. The rooms, although dated were very clean....if you need a bathtub this may not be the place for you...only showers. Beds were relatively comfortable, lots of room for your clothing, etc. Rooms have […] a small fridge and you are provided with two small bottles of water daily. There was always plenty of hot water and towels while we were there. The pool area was really nice, although difficult to get chairs unless you were out early, which we were not! There were more chairs on the beach and we were usually able to find shade. I liked the hours for eating...breakfast went until 11 am, lunch until 3 and supper until 10. Desserts were my favorite, and having omelets made fresh in the morning. Staff was generally friendly, some more so than others. The beach is very good in that area but on windy days can stir up the sand. That happened two days of our 14 there. We were also there when Hurricane Irene came by, and I was impressed with their preparedness and direction to guests. Drinks, of course are made with local liquor and as I am not a drinker, this is not an issue for me, but may be for some people. Big bonus, free wi-fi in the large open lobby area. I was actually able to pick up a signal from my balcony as well. The rooms do not have views of the ocean (except for a few buildings), but the grounds are lovely. It is a small resort, so good for people with limited walking ability and is wheelchair friendly for the restaurant area. Cabarete is an interesting little town with other restaurants and clubs right on the beach to explore. The vendors will drive you crazy, more so than in Playa Dorada area, I think because they have a limited number of people to "service" or prey on. If you are looking to spend all your time outside the room, then this is a very good place. The rooms were very small, stuffy, and ours stinked of sewer. Our other friends did not have the smell, but all of them had bad quality rooms, linens, etc. The food was surprisingly good. The hotel itself is ok. Nothing special but nothing terrible either. Buffet food is exactly what you would expect from buffet food. The two "restaurants" are slightly better. The staff that doesn't want anything from you are great - very friendly and eager to please. The problem and the reason for the overall terrible rating and recommendation to avoid […] this resort at all costs are the "blue shirts" that harass you over and over about off-resort excursions. I understand asking once, even twice - but after the third time you have told them you aren't interested but the same two guys continue to come up to you multiple times a day, day after day it's infuriating. Bottom line is all they want is their commission. There may or may not be sharks in the water but their are certainly sharks working at the hotel. Lisez la suite

Para ser un hotel de 3 estrellas està bien. Muy buena ubicaciòn, buen ambiente y el personal en general muy amable.

Servicio de comida es muy bueno y con buen servicio y atención en area de Buffet. Camarera de limpieza habitación muy servicial. Lo recomiendo para un buen fin de semana largo.

Veldig bra hotell med en utrolig beliggenhet og en helt nydelig hage!! Servicen og maten er veldig god. Skal tilbake til dette hotellet; da blir det for tredje gang!! Absolutt å anbefale!! Anita, Norway.

Bom hotel, comida razoável all inclusive, excelente lugar para praticar kite. Deve-se ter cuidado com as redondezas, pois o nível de desigualdade social é muito grande e a violência também. O hotel é bastante seguro e vigiado.
