Ideal location great hotel but breakfast although very comprehensive berry expensive

We found the staff, food, rooms and location of the Krakow Sheraton to be the icing on the cake of a perfect visit to Krakow. Friendly service, outstanding food, fantastic gym, pool and luxurious rooms. The Sheraton is perfectly located on the bank of the Wisla River, just at the foot of Wawel Hill and Castle. It is also close & easy walking distance […] to the both the historic old city center and the jewish quarter. But with all this, the thing I loved the most was the beautiful breakfast buffet served every morning in the lobby lounge of the hotel - the perfect way to start your day! Lisez la suite

I would recommend this hotel, walking distance from city center, castle view, nice fitness center.

Probably the best hotel I've stayed in. The staff and facilities were superb. Can't rate it highly enough.

I cannot fault this hotel at all. It appears to be brand new (which it maybe is?) and is suitably appointed as you would expect for a 5* hotel. A sports bar adjoins the hotel with large screen sports if that's your sort of thing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Very convenient location for sightseeing with fabulous views over the river/castle. All the staff were pleasant and particularly helpful in arranging transport for sightseeing at a very reasonable price. Rooms were clean & wel equipped. Both bars stay open till late and staff were most obliging. Highly recommended!

Hotel location could not be better for sight-seeing. Right by the castle and the river and a short walk through the historic streets to the main square. The facilities in the hotel are fantastic, and it is light, airy with comfortable rooms. The tour buses for excursions leave from right in front of the hotel twice a day so also a great location to […] base yourself in for trips to the surrounding area. The only criticism would be the costs in the hotel restaurants and bars. Considering there are fantastic restaurants all around with reasonably priced food and drinks it is hard to justify the prices they were charging. The hotel is a great place to stay in Krakow. It is close to the Wawel, Old Town and the Sukienice. The restaurants were good and there is a very nice pool and fitness center. The entire staff spoke excellent english too. They exceeded all my needs and expectations. This hotel is truly deserving of a 5 star rating.

Everything about the Hotel and service was excellent. I would highly recommend this for families to business travelers. Location is great for walkers or riders that want to experience Krakow. There is one weakness for those of us that require secure Wi-Fi to retrieve emails on a PDA phone that is not GMA ... it was only available in the dining area, […] lobby, or in the sports bar, not in the rooms. Excellent 3 day stay at the Sheraton, 5 - 10 minutes walk to the old town and 3 minutes to Wewel Castle. Comfortable rooms, and facilities. Hotel is lovely and very near the castle. Very quiet at night, hotel bars and restaurant are really really expensive. I feel that they are pricing themselves out of the market especially when meals are very reasonable in nearby restaurants. area aroud hotel is not very safe and we were stopped by police on the way home one night, they were very rude […] and intimidating. standard of the hotel as very good, all service was good apart from the resturant in which was unattenive and offhand. they were more involved in setting tables for breadfast than serving customers who were still present. Car shuttle service to & from the airport is a worthwhile expence at £20. Taxi requests arrived within a few minutes. On arrival […] reception offered upgrade, I felt a little expensive. This place is GREAT - and the location will only get better as the surrounding streets and parks are put in their renovated condition. Very proximate to all main sites of city and river vistas are peaceful clear.

The hotel was located close to the castle and the river bank with. No noise pollution from outside and one of the best nights sleep I have had while away. The staff were friendly and happy to assist guests. Upon check in we were given a wealth of information on local tourist sights which was extremely useful. Breakfast is a little pricey but the selection […] is excellent with the best I have ever seen! Not bad considering I was in the hotel trade for quite a few years. There are hotels closer go the main square but this is just right. The only gripe for me us having to pay for wi fi in the room but you can use it in the bar area for free. 10 mins walk to the main square in old town and next to castle plus river makes this a very convenient location.......everything was just right and I recommend the room service breakfast

I stayed there for my honeymoon and they looked after me very well, food and drink was a bit expensive compared to outside the hotel but i would definitely stay there again, it's a beautiful hotel in an excellent location.

Great hotel, clean pool, adequate fitness facilities, restaurant was good, bar and lounges great as well. Poland is very under rated-it is an awesome destination with soooo many things to see and do. Book your tickets now!! Enjoy the marketplace, Salt mine, go up to the mountains, shop at the markets, concentration camp is profoundly tragic but defiinately […] a must see. Lots of history in the castle and churches. Great eats and cold drinks abound! Truely something for everyone. We are already talking about our next trip to Poland. Lisez la suite

This hotel was outstanding. Everything was first class, top notch. The in room dining meal was fantastic, the breakfast buffet was extraordinary! The staff was highly professional, in every aspect. The room was beautiful. We would definitely stay there again!

This sounds like a joke but we went to Krakow for the weekend and only left the Sheraton for 4 hours as it was that good. Very freindly and efficent staff, great bars, great food just basically an all round great place. I have stayed in some nice hotels but the staff here give it the edge. Paul.

This is a fabulous hotel in a really good location within walking distance of the Main Square. Although we booked room only we were offered a deal on breakfast when checking in which was really good value for money as the buffet breakfast selection (including Champagne) was excellent. The food in the hotel bar was also excellent. The hotel also offered […] pick up on the various trips available which didn't cost much more than arranging the trips independently. My husband and I had low expectations on what we would get in this hotel ( we got a very good deal through Hotels.com - almost 50% off!). We were surprised to receive a very good size room with a decent view of the Wawel castle and enough room to have a crib for our daughter. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Food was also quite good. […] Finally, the location is unbeatable as it is walking distance to the castle and also the old town. We stayed in this hotel in April 2010. On arriving in Krakow, the weather was beautiful which always helps. We had booked the hotel airport pick up, and our driver was waiting in the arrivals hall. 25 minutes later we arrived at the hotel. It is exactly as described on the website. A true 5 star hotel. The lounge bar was lively with lots of tvs showing every type of sport much to my husbands delight. all in all, a lovely city break in a beautiful city and an equally lovely hotel. well situated and close to all tourist attractions. I stayed in this hotel for a long weekend in April 2010. We arranged for their shuttle service to pick us up in the airport, and were met by a lovely man called Christopher who drove us to the hotel. When we arrived we were too early for check in, but the courteous and friendly staff took our luggage and stored them so we could go for a stroll around […] Krakow, which was fantastic. The hotel was clean bright and top class. Our room was spotless and big white fluffly clean towels were supplied in the bathroom. I stayed in a twin room and the single beds were large and very comfy. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Krakow. Everything we expected from this 5* hotel; we had a great holiday! We booked a deluxe room and on arrival were given a room on the club floor (no access to club lounge) with a lovely view over the river. Towels & sheets changed daily, if required. Took advice from previous reviewers & booked hotel limo to pick us up/drop us off at airport; making the […] journey stress-free. Will certainly be planning another holiday to Krakow soon. Hotel is nice but no notification of closure of facilities was a huge dissapointment - the very reason the hotel was booked in the first place. Not happy.

perfect location yet our room was very quiet. Some confusion whether breakfast was included or not. (hotels website promises complimentary breakfast for all the guests ) but we didnt get it. Small problem; cafe round the corner serves all day breakfast for much less. Our room was very comfortable with the best bed I;ve ever slept . They are building […] underground carpark next door and it spoilt the approach to the hotel somewhat. but It's only temporary. Hotel overlooks the river and the Royal castle Wawel is 5min walk away. We were made to feel special from the moment we arrived, we were greeted when the taxi pulled up outside the hotel. Although to early to check in they stored our luggage whilst we walked into the square for lunch, approx a 15 minute stroll, allowing time to look at nearly every shop. We had a deluxe room with fantastic views over the river and castle. […]  Everything catered for, Iron, ironing board, hair dryer, bath robes, slippers, all the usual toiletries plus some extras such as hair conditioner, body lotion and shower scrunchies. Didn't eat in restaurant but had 2 room service meals, presentation & quality of food exceptional. Only disappointment was the meal in the sports bar called 'someplace else' attached to the hotel. The service was excellent as was the multiscreen tv showing sport, however the food was not up to even TGI FRIDAYS standard. BBQ ribs were more fat than meat and covered in sauce that seemed full of artificial sauce & flavouring. We used the pool facility, well equipped & relaxing atmosphere. Noticeably every member of staff we encountered was polite, well trained & efficient & made us feel special & valued, 7th visit to Krakow staying in different hotels & now wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. The Sheraton Krakow exceeded our expectations in all ways. The location overlooking the Visla & Wawel Castle was outstanding & it was a short walk to the Rynek (Old Town Square). The staff was some of the best we have ever encountered & very helpful. Only complaint (although excellent in quality & quantity) was the price of breakfast. a typical big chain hotel, all the staff are polite, knowledgeable and efficient but lack a little warmth, everything works well and overall 'it does what it says on the tin'. Good location.

The location of the hotel is very good - facing the Vistula River and only a short walk to the centre of Krakow. The staff could not be more helpful, friendly and obliging. Taking breakfast under the glass roof atrium was a lovely way to start the day. The selection of food was beautifully laid out and presented. the piano player was great feature. It was very quiet. The only snag was the front desk took a while to pick up when i called them on seperate occasions. they were very helpful when they did pick up. the mini bar prices were exceptionally high. but i enjoyed my sty and would do it again for the right price.
