The room was very dirty, to the point where I took a picture of the remote control to send to a friend, it was so dirty! The whole room was so old and outdated, the remote, the phone, it was embarrassing. The indian woman who helped me at breakfast was the only thing that mad me stay, she was delightful.

Easy to find off the LIE, ample parking, very friendly staff, good amenities. However they gave us a corner room which was smaller than the average room, the heat and TV did not work, so we had to switch rooms after checking in at 10.30pm. the new room was large but the bathroom was very small and so was the TV and awkward placement in the room. My husband, children and I were very impressed walking in to the lovely, atrium-like front desk area of this Marriott. The hotel staff were professional and friendly. Our room was comfortable, though we would have liked an in room mini fridge, access to free internet, and some sort of inexpensive breakfast option ($15 for eggs seems like a ridiculous […] price). Typical Marriott. The windows used to open, but not they are screwed shut permanently. The air in the room was a little stale because of this. Didn't realize I prepaid, so got no marriott points

Room was located too far from elevator. Bathroom was just about as small as they come in a hotel room!!! Everything else was what I would expect from a Mariott. Hotel location was perfect for our needs and the personnel were very friendly.

The room was nice and roomy and very comfortable which made up for the bathroom which was a little small. Free internet service in the room would have been a plus. We only stayed one night so that really wasn't an issue. Had the breakfast buffet downstairs which was reasonably priced and very good.

Overall the hotel was very nice. The ambiance was lovely. My husband was upset because the rooms didn't have a microwave or refrigerator. That would have made our stay better being that we had our baby with us.

We stayed here after a wedding. It is conveniently located next to the highway. Love the atrium style of it. The room was nice and very clean, but the bed was not the most comfortable. a power surge caused a fire alarm, an evacuation of the hotel, and knocked out the hot water. only one elevator worked. the hotel is very nice and so was the staff. But the unfortunate circumstances destroys what would have been a pleasant stay.

Told in add two double beds when we got hotel told only one single bed would fit. Not happy. One child had to sleep in King Bed. Food was poor for a Marriot Hotel. Elevators were marked up looked they had not been repaired in a long time.

Food at bar area 2nd level was excellent as was the service. The bartender,server,order taker was excellent all three jobs done by same person.Other server was good also. Room temperature set at 72 which was to warm,could not be changed and elevators were not working properly. A partial refund or some type of complimentary service and or credit to another Marriot. I am also a Marriott member who use Marriotts quite a bit when I was travelling and the vast majority of my stays were great but this ranks well below of quality except for the service at the bar,food,and front desk. The stay was terrible. The television wasn't working right. The doors on the whole floor were jammed and broken, and the staff blamed the visitors for it. We didn't feel safe. The only things good were the food (which were great) and the cleansliness (excellence in that department). The AC rattled the whole room, and the beds felt that they were made […] of paper. We had a hard time finding the location because the wrong zip code was in the address. The map took us 4 exits past the hotel & we drove around for 45 minutes trying to find the right place. Once we arrived, the staff was courteous and the room was lovely. The buffet breakfast was delicious.

We were booked for the weekend, we left for the day and returned that night and our belongings were missing. The housekeeper removed everything we left in the refrigerator including my sons bottles, daughter's juice and fruit. The front desk sent some juice and fruits that night. everything was great except for two things. friday night (6/22)not sure what time but after ten there was some kind of post party celebration in the lobby . it involved loud drums and echoed very loudly-of course we were sleeping. the other thing was the floor at the breakfast buffet on 6/24 was sticky and not just in one spot . it was only 8;30 so […] it hadnt seen too much traffic yet. otherwise staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The staff at the hotel were very courteous and professional. The room was very clean and well maintained. The bedding was changed promptly every day and the linen was extremely clean. I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Islandia much more than my stay at the Huntington Hilton.

I was hesitant in booking with this hotel given some of the reviews stating that it wasn't a very updated hotel, however I'm glad I went through with it anyway. My room was totally updated, with an extremely comfortable mattress, Bath and Body works amneties in the bathroom and a LG HDTV across from the bed. I've stayed in many 5 star hotels in the past and although I wouldn't put this quite at that level, it far exceeded my expectations of being a 3 star hotel. I have used this hotel several times and I enjoy getting away there. I always request a room facing the North side which has many trees. However, this time, individuals in the next room were smoking and it got into our room, and really made it difficult to have a good time with the smoke lingering in the room.

The staff at the Islandia Marriott is "superb." Everyone from the front desk to the bus boys are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. My only complaint is that the lobby, bar, and restaurant area are very cold to the point of being uncomfortable.
