Overall it was ok for me. I told them I did not need a non-smoking room and that is what I got .. :) Did smell a lot like cigars or something. We did get to watch someone else not have a good experience as they had not used a credit card to lock in their room (not sure why?) and it was not pretty at the desk that day. My room was on the 3rd floor and the building had no elevator. There was used linens/towels and bagged garbage lining all of the hallways and stairs when I checked in. I thought all of that would be picked up, but the next morning they were still out there. When I came back for the 2nd night, there was less towels and garbage lining the hallways, but […] there was still some out there. The suite I was in had a bad odor especially in the kitchen. But they obviously sprayed something to mask the odor. The TV remote did not work. I saw 1 small roach while watching TV. I was surprised that I only saw 1 during my stay. At the very least the bed was clean and pretty comfortable. The bathroom was clean as well. They need to buy new towels. Lisez la suite

The clerk at the hotel was not fully engaged in working with me and I had to repeat questions a couple of times. The building my family stayed in smelled terrible and we were on the third floor with no elevator (stairs only). The building was supposed to be locked but the doors had been propped open

This is about my 12th stay in Las Vegas and Emerald Suites is great for the money and very very convenient unless you are going to go to the strip every night. Location is great. All Casino services are right across the street at the ORLEANS, with multiple restaurants and 24 hour coffee shop and pretty decent prices. There were some defects -- I have […] had better beds but they were OK anyway. The kitchen was very nice as I am trying to eat healthy and low calorie, but there were NO pans to boil anything and no frying pan provided. Within a block of this location there are useful stores, coffee shops. Some great grocery stores are a couple of traffic lights away along Tropicana. Lisez la suite

Upon check in and directions to our room, we realized this hotel must've previously been an apartment complex. Laundry room, pool, spa and coffee available, nice! We were on the 3rd floor, so we had 2 flights of stairs to climb, but there are sturdy handrails and the steps are very nicely padded so it wasn't a big deal for us and our 2 suitcases. Besides, […] who doesn't want a little exercise once in awhile? Our 1 bedroom suite was small, but very comfortable, with a roomy bathroom and a full kitchen with stove and fridge! That's a huge plus, when you can go to the market and get some affordable snacks and drinks instead of eating out constantly while on vacation. Basic utensils were in the kitchen also, and there's even little balconies to have a midnight smoke if you'd like. We were there for Las Vegas Wranglers Hockey, which is directly across the street in The Orleans Hotel/Casino/Arena, so we didn't have to drive or take a cab to go to the games. There is also a shuttle at the Orleans that goes to a few stops on The Strip, you don't have to drive at all if you don't want to. We would stay there again, if you are looking for basic clean rooms in a quiet area just off The Strip, Emerald Suites is a great choice! Lisez la suite

Not too pricey, free Internet if you bring a CAT-5 cable. No WiFi in the room. Kitchen, bedroom, living room, bath. The suite had stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and fridge, but no pots or pans, no dishwasher detergent. Didn't ask housekeeping about it, just used the microwave and washed dishes by hand. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board, safe […] in the closet for valuables. It's a bit long-in-the-tooth. The carpets in the halls should be replaced, carpets in the room were better but not new. Furniture shows some wear but not worn out. Tile broken in the bathroom. Off the strip to the West, just off Tropicana, not too far but you definitely need a car. Overall, not fancy and not new but I'd stay there again. Room was made up everyday. Staff was friendly and responsive. Overall, worth the money, I thought. Lisez la suite

From the outside, nice. The room was quite tired - frayed carpet, heavy, stale smell of smke (supposed to be non-smoking). Had to ask front desk for air freshener and cookware. Appliances in very good condition. Old tube TV in LR, no TV in bedroom. Uncomfortable couch and mattress. Paper thin towels..

We had almost 50% discount and after discount, the pricevsservice was good. With no discount, it appears expensive. It is almost a one bedroom apartment - full kitchen/bed/bath/living/tv/... Great deal if you are on weekly/monthly base.. kitchen had all basic necessity for 2.

This hotel is what you need if you want a place to just crash so you may have more money to have fun. If you're looking to be pampered; I'm sorry this is not your hotel. It is great for those with not so flexible budget. The Orleans is just across the street and you can get their shuttle for free to the strip any time of day. You do not have to pay […] any extra to have a refrigerator or microwave in your room. They do not have Wi-Fi so make sure to ask for ethernet cable at check in if you intend to use your laptop. Me and my wife were in Vegas for the first time and we spent four night but paid what what would have been only for one night at some of the places on the strip. Lisez la suite

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. We got a good rate and remembered the first stay being good so we stayed again. It is right across the street from the Orleans Casino and Resort. If you are looking for a place away from the strip but still have acess to a casino, this is a good spot. It's off of Tropicana so we go about 2 miles south […] to get to strip and right there is Excalibur and New York New York. Can park you car there for your strip needs. We are happy with the room. It is very basic and suffices in meeting the needs of our stay. It is by no means luxurious, but it is comfortable enough. This trip we didn't use the kitchen much. Although I will say kitchen supplies was seriously lacking and would have had to ask for stuff if I was to do any cooking. We got the room mainly to have 2 bedrooms and a living room. Emerald suites is an older property, with just basic services - exactly what we needed. And they accomodated our family of five - try finding that anywhere else on the strip, for any price. Room was clean, and the two-bedroom suite fit our family comfortably. Kitchen allowed us to save on food too by avoiding restaurants for every meal.

The hotel had a shuttle that made it convenient to get to the airport. It was right off the freeway but still quiet.

I was in town for a conference. Next time I might try to get a place a bit closer to my venue but I still loved the little apt. I really appreciated the cups/dishes and cutlery when I came back with leftovers. The place was clean and the bed was so comfortable I totally crashed. Staff were great. Thank Annaliese (sp?).

Emerald Suites on Cameron is quite "retro" but it didn't bother us because we just needed a basic suite for one night. The hotel is on a quiet side street and the only noise that bothered us was the maid who came to knock on our door several times even though we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door and we had requested late checkout the previous […] day. The suite was very clean but the beds were quite hard/springy. I'll stay here again if I need a 2BR suite for 1-2 nights AND get a good deal. Lisez la suite

Across the street from the Orleans, about a mile and a half from the strip, the neighborhood was quiet, but not scary. The internet requires an ethernet cable, there was no wifi, but they didn't have enough cables to loan one (a quick trip to Walmart fixed that). Also the TV remote was missing a battery and the other was dead, but they cheerfully replaced […] and reprogrammed the remote for me. Since these are suites, the room was large, and even though we were on the third floor, the air conditioner and thermostat keep the room comfortable. I've stayed in bargain rooms most of my visits to Vegas, and this was one of the better ones, I would stay there again. Lisez la suite

Was a great place to stay if you want to go to the Orleans or want to stay for an extended time and need a kitchen. Also want to be sure you can climb flights of stairs and heaven forbid if you leave anything in your room and need to go back for it.. We were on the third floor and it was a very hot weekend.

I have stayed at the Emerald Suites a few times now, and I always enjoy it. It is a great place to stay if you have a large group. The two bed room suite is nice and cozy. It is affordable, and nice. I would recommend a stay here.

The room was just what I needed and very clean. Nice pub next door and right across from The Orleans. Pool wasnt in service, but to cold anyways....

Upon check in they wanted to put us on the 3RD floor. (It was a quick one night stay) I asked if they had a elevator, No we don’t. Since it was only one night we did not want to drag a bunch of suitcases upstairs. Ok, they gave us a room on the 1ST floor, great. In the room noticed that there was no shower curtain, called the desk they would send someone […] down with it.25 minutes later nothing. The floor in the kitchen was dirty with visible footprints, not good. Went to put stuff in the refrigerator, it’s not cold and has a hint of odor. Check it out it’s unplugged. Next saw that there was no wastepaper basket in the bathroom and no holder for the toilet paper. On the way out for dinner stop at the desk and let them know, it’s been 40 minutes. At this point they tell us that the room was listed as ready but the previous people checked out late. They moved us to the second floor. That room was ok. Here are the problem areas: No elevators No TV in the bedrooms only one in the living area No phone in the bedrooms. (If you want a wake-up call you better sleep on the couch) It’s a nice roomy setup with good potential, but the problems above are ridiculous. Lisez la suite

Good stay ,comfortable bed.It seems A/C was not heating the room properly.Don,t forget to carry a pan for kitchen.... overall good for the amount offered.

Location was good and room was clean. Kitchenette was stocked with dishes, but no cookware, also lacked dishwasher detergent. Only got a coffee packet for the first day, and no breakfast, but you can't get it all at this price. I think they cut all the right corners to make this a great place to stay on a budget while in the Vegas area.

We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite for no cost because they had no 1 bedrooms. They were very helpful when we had to check out a day early becuase of an emergency. The manager called Hotels.com and got a refund for me before I had a chance to try to call myself. That meant a lot that they care about their customers that much!

i did not stay my full time at this hotel, because i was comped else where, but would stay there again under the right circumstances. this hotel is actually an apartment complex with pool and laundry, you have a full kitchen(sparse utinsils). the bathroom w/ tub is small, but again these are one and two bedroom apartments. maybe a little old, but very […] attentive staff and tremendous location. next door is my favorite pub in all of las vegas and the casino across the street has a shuttle bus to get around. i was closer to the buffet from my room here than my room in the hotel/casino. airport transportaion is also available. We stayed for 2 nights in the 2 bedroom suite that accomidated 5 (3 adults & 2 kids) of us very nicely and comfortably. The hotel staff at the front desk was very nice and we got checked in quickly. Our friend was also staying in the hotel in a 1 bedroom and they arranged for us to be right across the hallway from eachother. The hall smells like cigarette […] smoke, but our room did not smell smoky. There are no elevators and we had a 3rd floor room, but the stairs weren't diificult to walk up and down. The T.V did not have a DVD or VCR-Only basic cable, but we ended up watching other channels. The beds were clean and relatively comfortable. They only give you 2 towels in the bathroom, but each bed had an additonal towel on it for a total of 4 towels. I requested 2 more pillows and they dropped them off about 30 minutes later. Our son who is 9 sleep very comfortably on the couch (it was not a pull out). The kitchen has the full set up for 4 people. No pots or pans though and they did the dishes and ran the dishwasher when they cleaned the room. The swimming pool & hot tub was clean and the kids loved it! It is very quite and about a mile away from the New York, New York & MGM part of the strip. The Orleans casino is right across the street if you need to gamble or want a buffet meal. Overall very good deal for the price and if you are taking kids with you. Lisez la suite

This 2 room suite is aprox. 1 mile west of the strip. It's close enough to get where you need to go quickly, but away enough to be out of the jungle of the strip. It was roomy enough to accommodate 4 adults. But there are definite draw backs. First, the mattress on the bed was hard. The floor was softer. Second, there were only 2 towels for 4 people. […] How much sense does that make? They were very accommodating and gave us 4 more. But then, there is no where to hang more. We ended up using the hangers in the closet. Hooks or another towel rack would be nice. And maybe a shelf for toiletries? Putting my tooth brush on the back of the toilet was not going to cut it. If they could clear up these few problems, it could be an "A" hotel! Lisez la suite

Hotel was in a good location. off the strip but right across the street from the orlean. didn't have to drive if we didn't want to.

Very clean ,quiet n nice for the price. Its about less than a 5 min drive from the strip. Across the street theres The NEW ORLEANS casino you can walk to...they have a tgif,arcade for the kids, movie theater n bowling lanes. Overall i do recommend this hotel , its less of a hassle to get to ur room versus a huge hotel...we stay in the 2 bedroom suite […] which was nice,clean , a spacious. In your kitchen u have ur basic if your planing to cook bring a pan n skillets besides that everything else is there. Lisez la suite

The hotel is very cheap. The room was clean , but there was no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor with child-gear. The linens and furniture haven't been changed out or updated since probably the 70's. The towels were threadbare as were the sheets.

The desk staff were very helpful and willing to print some documents for me because the pay-per-use computer station was broken. Also, the rooms have free high speed internet, not the dial-up connection that is advertised in the online description which was a pleasant surprise. The one really irritating thing was that our room had only a half roll […] of toilet paper remaining when we arrived with no extras and it wasn't replenished when the room was serviced. I had to ask at the front desk and they only wanted to give me 1 roll, I had to ask again to take 2 rolls back to the room. Lisez la suite

More Pros then Cons. Was happy with the value of the room. Staff was friendly and room was kept clean (was there for 4 days). The only 2 cons I had were for the room being a 2 bedromm place it only had 1 sofa that seats 3 adults and the dinning room table only had 2 chairs so because we had 3 adults and 2 kids the youngsters had to use the 2 chairs […] from the dinning area or the floor. The 2nd small issue is the kitchen did not have any cookware (pots pans etc.)or dishwashing soap so having to go buy some was a little pain. both issues would not stop me from staying there in the future (lets face it when you go to vegas you are not there to sit in the room or do much cooking for that matter). Location was good and easy to get in and out of with being located in a quiet street off Tropicana. Carpet in the room though is kinda old and needs replacement. The kitchen is good sized with some basic utensils, but if you intend to cook, be sure to bring your own pots and pans, as these were nowhere to be found!! We booked a two bedroom suite here and was very impressed. Is was away from the strip and nice and quiet. Our room had a kitchenette and little living room area. Looks like a newer hotel, nicely decorated and very clean. I would definitely recommend.

The room was in a great location at an exceptional price. I had stayed there before, which is why I decided to stay again. I had already recommended the hotel to friends and they loved it as well.
