This was a great place to stay for my first trip to Athens. The hotel is located just across the street from a metro station that easily connects to the airport line. This became a very important issue as I found myself stuck in Greece for an extra night so I made a few trips to/from the airport, The staff helped make the most of my unexpected stay by providing towels and directing me to the tram which took me to the beach. Easy, easy, easy! As for the hotel itself- I loved it. It has a funky/eclectic vibe, but easily catered to all ages. The property is well maintained and staffed. My room had only a partial view of the Acropolis and the city, but was clean and well stocked with everything I needed. They've thought of everything including providing electrical adapters (5 euros, but refunded upon return) for my laptop/phone. The free wireless internet connection was sometimes very weak, but worked most of the time including on the roof top pool deck area. In addition to the incredible view, which speaks for itself- hanging out on the roof is a nice way to spend and end your day in Athens. I did not try the hotel food, but did enjoy a cocktail by the pool. It was average, but did its job of cooling me off. I prefered to go across the street and grab a bite at the only eatery in the area. A Greek friend, also visiting Athens agreed that this place made a nice gyros. This hotel was the most bang I got for my American dollar while in Greece. I would (and have already)recommended it to other friends planning a trip to Athens.

This was a very comfortable hotel and conveniently located near a metro station. The staff was very helpful and the roof pool/bar has a fantastic view of the Acropolis, especially at night. An unexpected bonus for us was the laundry that was located about 2 blocks away. The area is not ideal but the metro is right across the street from the hotel and very easy to use. For 6 Euros you can take it to the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel and return if I am lucky enough to get back to Athens.

I speak the language and can get around. Yet, this first-class hotel is not in a good location. Nothing in the immediate area can appeal to visitors, with the exception of a decent restaurant across the street . On the other hand, you can see much of Athens from its rooftop pool area (very small pool, by the way). Spending 2 nights there was no big loss.

very pleasant and luxurious. The pool is as lovely (though smaller!) as the photographs and very welcome in the heat. Minibar and breakfast prices seemed to us as budget travellers incredibly expensive but the rooms themselves are reasonable and comfortable, though I guess only a handful of them will have the acropolis views shown in the advertisements - we had a very dreary street view but kept the curtains closed and ignored it! Very well situated if you are coming into Athens by car -really easy drive and parking, and right next to metro.

My wife and I stayed here on the first night of our Honeymoon before we set off for the Cyclades. It was easy to get to from the Athens Subway Metaxurghio Red Line (after one line transfer from the Blue Airport Line). The hotel was nice and had a very classy rooftop pool and bar. The drinks were pricey, but there was a "2 for 1" happy hour. The view of the Acropolis from the top of the hotel was fantastic. We got a great deal for one night on a Tuesday in July, which was way cheaper than our hotels in Mykonos, Santorini and Heraklion. Only complaint would be that the room was quite small, but I guess that is typical for a city hotel (I live in Chicago).

Roof top pool area lovely (unfortunately closed while we were there but it was cold so not a problem for us) you can see the Acropolis at night while having a beverage or a swim. Staff are lovely especially Evi who was very kind and helpful even though I was tired and grumpy after my flight :) I think many Athens hotels are misleading by claiming 3, 4 or 5 stars and can be quite horrible but this hotel is lovely. I would definately not recommend the crazy prices 25 euros for breakfast-go to a bakery and get a 1.20 euro croissant-fresh and delicious.

Expected a better class of hotel, would not return. Breakfast was 24 euros but did not try it, too expensive. Mini bar, well you need to take out a mortgage to have anything from it and im not kidding either. Twin room was 2 beds pushed together which had to be separated, did not replace the coffee in the room, had to ring housekeeping. Our window looked out onto an atrium so you had no fresh air and a view of other hotel windows, could not open no windows felt a bit claustrophobic. The lift must of had a man winding it up as it was so slow, you could have walked quicker and the reception was dim.

Commentaire d'un client de Hotels.com le juin 28, 2009
The hotel is modern, clean and staffed with professionals. The area where it is located lies in one of Athens' worse areas. I saw police literally arresting dozens of middle eastern men to eject them from the country for immigration violations. This was not isolated to one street corner, but for blocks with police in riot gear ready to rumble. The citizens of Athens have complained of tourists being harassed, assaulted, etc. and the police have no choice, but to clean up the area. Do not go out alone late at night in Omonia Square.

Whithin walking distance of Omonia and Syntagma Square, metro station is less than 3 mins away, the hotel does not offer anything else. Hotel staff are rude, not very helpful, and the surrounding neighborhood is a mixture of immigrants, so make sure to carry your passport with you because the police might stop you and detain you if can't produce docs. The hallways of this hotel have a smoky, humid smell, we had a double room with the tiniest beds I have ever seen...it was very uncomfortable. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again, and it's rated a 5 star hotel but I think it should be no more than 3.

The reception personnel were quite friendly, helpful and knowledgable. As my arrival time was early and they asked me to come back later in the afternoon, to apologize for the inconvenience, they upgraded my superior double to a deluxe superior, which was appointed with a flat screen tv, coffee maker, etc. but most especially a view of the Acropolis, which at night is something to behold. The only negative to report is that the hotel is on the edge of a somewhat seedy area. However, the main streets are welllit and the sights are still only 15 minutes away by foot and the metro is across the street.

This hotel is not 5 star by any stretch of the imagination. The door to our room had been repaired, poorly. Obviously at some point the door had been forced open and the lock was fixed by rigging a new face plate that didn't quite meet where it should. Our room door could be locked, but it did not give you a sense of security. The beds were the most uncomfortable I've had in a hotel in a long time...and the top sheet was at least 8 inches shorter than the bed so your feet stuck out at the end. My husband had his pocket picked by a band of professional thieves a block away and the hotel offered us little assistance other than saying we could use their phone. The elevators were very small and very slow. The restaurant does not open till 7am for breakfast so we had to go elsewhere in order to make a 7am bus tour and a 7am taxi to the airport. The shower was designed so that even when the door was completely closed, water leaked out all over the floor, making it a slippery mess. The best thing about the hotel was the free wifi... that was great.
