Hôtel sympa et pas cher et bien isolé malgré la vue pas terrible et bruyant!

Ideal hotel for a short stay/business. Close to railway Station. As is typical in France, the breakfast is very basic. What is presented looks unappetising.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location was great. Near the train station and the tram. The room was clean and comfortable. We did try the breakfast and found it a bit expensive for what you get.

Kyriad Nice Centre Gare is well located on a street off of the main shopping street, a couple of minutes from the train station and about a 15 minute walk to the beach. The staff were friendly and professional and spoke excellent English. The room is has basic but comfortable furnishings and included air conditioning. However, while I feel the room […] was kept clean the overall level of maintenance was quite low which gave it a rundown feel. There were several unsightly dark stains on the carpet, ceiling tiles had deteriorated, there was no screen or curtain for the shower to prevent the water from flooding the floor. Breakfast was available which also included a small selection of hot food, but it was somewhat disappointing and not as substantial as you might hope for the relatively high cost. The hotel is fine and ideal for a couple of night especially if you are travelling around France and it has lots of good qualities but I feel they need to invest some money into updating and maintaining the rooms. The hotel was in a great location--2 minute walk to train station and 15 minute walk to the beach. The one downside was that the hotel is right next to train tracks thus making for additional noise, even at night. Other than the noise, the hotel met all of our expectations.

The hotel was around the corner from the main shopping street in Nice, and about 15 minutes walk to the beach. It is also very close to the train station, which makes it easy to locate. The welcome was no so much inviting as a general acceptance that you would be staying there. The receptionist was slightly surprised we would be staying 3 nights and after the first night we could understand that surprise. The hotel is located opposite the railway tracks by Nice Station, beneath the motorway and also happens to have trams at ground […] level. However, none of those noisy intrusions had any affect on our stay as the level of sound insulation was superb. Building work was underway on one floor with workmen starting at 8am. The effective double-glazing could not shield us against that particular noise. The room itself was more than a little small. When we first arrived I had the impression that the bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. There was enough space for one person at a time to walk round the bed but no more. Tea and coffee were provided but only one of each, namely, one normal tea bag, one "infusion" in a bag and one sachet of instant coffee. There were two small pots of milk and one packet of two biscuits. Whilst the tea and coffee were replaced once the biscuits never reappeared. In the bathroom one was supposed to survive on one sachet of bath gel and a small bar of soap. Perhaps, for one night that would suffice but certainly not for three nights! The room was incredibly stuffy and warm. A switch on the wall inferred that there was air-conditioning but this was not working. When we asked at the reception why the air-con wasn't working we were informed that "it isn't summer yet". True, it was only the beginning of May and the outside temperature had struggled to reach 21 degrees but this did not take into account the fact that opening the window would result in an overwhelming amount of noise. Breakfast was available in the hotel at 9 euros but this was not pushed. In fact, we felt that we had partaken we would not have been welcome. Vi bodde på dette hotellet en langhelg. Vi sitter igjen med at alt var ok, ikke det helt store, men helt greit. Rommet var lite, litt slitent, med teppe på gulvet, men det var rent og til tross for at togstasjonen var like ved, var det lite støy. Hotellet var helt greit til den prisen. Beliggenheten var ikke midt i sentrum men i gåavstand til det meste, ca 15-20 min å gå til Gamlebyen og strandpromonaden. Rommene var litt små men ellers bra. Lå like ved jernbanene men det hørte vi lite til selv om rommet vårt vendte ut mot togskinnene.

Vi er et par på 46 år, som reiste nå i september. Er veldig fornøyd med hotellet, både med rommets standard (vi fikk bytte rom, uten problemer eller ekstra kostnad, da det første var en god del mindre), gode senger, bra renhold, trivelig personale/betjening og veldig godt utgangspunkt for oss som ville se oss om både i Monaco og Cannes. Togstasjonen […] lå rett bortom hotellet, - uten at det var noe støy av den grunn, når vinduene ble lukket for natta. Trikken gikk også rett utafor hjørnet av hotellet. Gangavstand til strand, gamlebyen - og sentrum. Vi tok taxi tur-retur flyplass, det tok ca 15-20 min. og kostet rundt 25 euro. All'arrivo mi avevano dato una matrimoniale piccola, dimessa, vetusta e ncon affaccio in un cortile triste. il giorno dopo, dietro mia richiesta, mi ha nno dato una camera nuova con balcone esterno. Vi fikk først et av de gamle rommene, det var trangt og ikke spesielt fint. Det luktet og var mugg på badet. Vi spurte om å få bytte rom, men det var fullt den dagen vi kom og ble spurt om å vente med forespørselen til dagen etter. Vi fikk da et av de nye rommene. Det var mye større, penere og renere. Vil anbefale hotellet (hvis nytt rom) til de som […] ønsker å reise rundt og/eller shoppe siden det er rett ved togstasjonen og shoppinggata. Det er en "trikk" som stopper rett utenfor til 1 euro den kan gjøre gåturen til stranden og gamle byen litt kortere. Ved badeopphold ville vi ha bodd litt nærmere stranden. Das Hotel ist besonders empfehlenswert für Geschäftsleute und andere Städtereisende, die die Nähe zum Bahnhof schätzen. Lagebedingt ist die Hausvorderseite einigem Lärm ausgesetzt, der aber weitestgehend von den guten Schallschutzfenstern absorbiert wird. Das Haus liegt an dem etwas schmuddeligen Anfang einer sehr schönen Einkaufsstraße zum toll sanierten […] Place Masséna. Eine gute Lage für Geschäftsreisende, die nicht unbedingt (Meer-)Blick benötigen. Auf mein Zimmer im 4. OG zur Straße hin passt die Platitüde "klein, aber fein". Das geschmackvoll renovierte Zimmer, in braun-weißen Tönen gehalten, war sauber und verfügte über bodentiefe Fenstertüren (Licht) und einen kleinen französischen Balkon, der aber nicht zuletzt wegen seiner bescheidenen Aussicht (Blick zwischen Bahnschienen und Hochstraße) nur für Raucher eine praktische Bedeutung haben dürfte. Bett und Bettzeug waren von überraschend guter Qualität. Das Zimmer verfügte über einen kleinen Wasserkocher mit täglich aufgefrischten Kaffee- und Teeutensilien, Fernseher, kostenloses W-Lan. Keine Minibar. Das kleine Duschbad erschien ebenfalls frisch und ansprechend erneurt: geschmackvolle, großformatige braune und weiße Fliesen, eine große, nahezu ebenerdige Duschtasse sowie Seife und Duschgel von Fragonard. Nicht schlecht für ein Zwei- bis Drei-Sterne-Hotel. Mein Kollege im Zimmer nebenan hatte allerdings noch ein altes Bad, also sind offensichtlich nicht alle Zimmer bzw. Bäder vollständig erneuert. Frühstück gibts bis 10.30 Uhr, nichts dolles, aber immerhin leckeren Gouda, Schinken und Salami; Baguette, Croissants; kein besonders guter Kaffee - alles Selbstbedienung. Für französische Verhältnisse und diese Hotelkategorie ganz ordentlich. Insgesamt eine symphatische Alternative zu den teuren Hotels in Cannes zu Messezeiten (z.B. MIPIM). Günstig, aber sehr ordentlich Schlafen und mit der Bahn (Bahnhof fußläufig 3 Min.) entspannt nach Cannes (40 Min.). Der teilweise spektakuläre Meerblick im Zug entschädigt f Lisez la suite

Das Hotel Kyriad ist ein super Hotel. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, die Zimmer sauber und modern. Das Hotel liegt im Herzen Nizzas und der Strand ist innerhalb von 15-20 Minuten Promenade schnell erreicht. Das Hotel kann nur weiterempfehlt werden.
