VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES - Wurtsboro

I staid one night at this inn and it was one of the worst experiences I ever had. The smell in the room was awful and I could dare use the covers or put my face on the pillow. For your own good stay away, better sleep in the car.

I expected a small, older room, which is what we got (no issues) However, the room was not very clean and there were stains on the blankets (blood?) which freaked my girlfriend out a little. All was fine until we got back on Sat and there was NO HOT WATER! The whole reason we got a room and didn't camp was for the bed & shower- neither of which were […] in great shape. We're relaxed, unfussy travelers who don't mind bare-bones accommodations, but even we were surprised at the size of our hotel room. (We stayed in the "hotel" not the cottages.) For the price, this was cramped. People played music late at night and again early in the morning, and the walls were thin enough for it to be pretty dang annoying. Bed was […] comfy enough, but for some reason I thought there would be a normal hotel bathroom with a tub, and instead there was a tiny stall shower that leaked all over the floor. The place is across from a noisy-inside bar/restaurant, where we had a kind of pricey and not very good dinner. Boo. Will look elsewhere next time. Lisez la suite

We were there on one of the hottest days this summer and it was a nice place to beat the heat. Pool was clean and cold and the A/C in our room in the motel worked great. We picked the motel room over the cabin for the newer looking A/C. Room was very small but super clean with a nice sized refrigerator and brand new TV. The staff were helpful and pleasant. […] There were some areas to barbeque and hang out as well as a nice lawn with a volleyball net up. The grounds could definitely use some upkeep, as some areas seemed rundown. Looks like a work in progress though. You can walk into the small town to pick up anything you might need and there was a nice restaurant nearby. We would definitely return here. It's a nice place to relax. Lisez la suite

Nice and clean, comfortable, not so soundproof, convenient location, cute little 2-unit cottage. Very nice for a no-frills experience. Shower faucet leaked so points off for that but it was a minor annoyance. Would go again.
