A recommander.
Hotel a conseillé vivement 4.5/5

"Hotel Sanctuary Miami Beach : Best Value for money"
We steyed there for only one night but could have stayed 3 days or one week as the room was huge, situation really good and the price we got realy low compare to others hotels in miami beach. Allez y !
"Hotel proche plage"
"Sanctuary Hotel - Good hotel but strange sounds"
My first impression was "....finally a hotel in Central South Beach with nice spacious room (#111) and good breakfast and not so noisy". However I changed my mind when I wake up in the middle of the night from the sound of small feets that was scratching and tripping around above the ceiling and behind the walls.
"Loved it!"
The lobby is kind of non-existent, and its not a luxurious looking hotel at first, but as soon as we entered our room I loved it. It's furnished very simply, but there is a family room/kitchenette area that I loved, the windows have room darkening curtains which were fabulous when we wanted to sleep in, and the best part is the walls are sound proof!!! […] It was so quiet and peaceful. Also-absolutely no need for a car- you can walk anywhere you would like to go. Perfect location. Lisez la suite
"Low key, retro glam, nice rooftop, great restauran"
I hosted two friends of mine and they loved the vibe of this hotel, two blocks off the beach, collins and ocean steps away. One deficit was that the bathroom was so dark and makeup application was impossible. Another was the so-called continental breakfast......With a restaurant as good as this property has, something better than Sam's Club bagels […] are called for. Note to management: Lighted makeup mirrors would be a major plus. Thank you.s Lisez la suite

"The loving embrase of a good hotel"
I love south beach, and this hotel. I was in town for business, and found this hotel to be very close to the Miami Beach convention center, which it is only about a block. The rooms are wonderful, more like a small loft style apartment. Plan on staying here everytime I am in town!
"Needs some TLC"
This hotel needs some TLC. My room smelled of mold, and needed a thorough cleaning. It just seemed old and funky. Parking is a real problem. The lot across the street offers valet parking, but it is ran by a separate company. Cash at the point of entry is their preferred method of payment. So bring cash. $30 a day. Ola, the restaurant in the hotel, […] was very pleasant. The sugar cane tuna was quite tasty. Lisez la suite
"The worst Hotel I have ever stayed at."
Check in with no one in line took 30 min. The room card did not work .Which lead us to returning to the desk many times. The rooms are worn out and furiture had stains. Repair men were working on the roof above us well after dark. Two glases of wine $40.00 , Parking $40.00, Parking attendant tried to give me back change for a $50.00 dollar bill when […] I gave him a Hundred dollar bill ! We came back to our room after dinner and the key did not work on our second room. We waited 20 minutes while the front desk tried to open this door. We got a bit loud, talking to the manager. 30 minutes later the Miami Police woke us up through us out of our room. Lisez la suite

"Sanctuary = A++++ will go back!"
We booked the Sanctuary because the Shelbourne was sold out for the night we wanted to stay and was recommended to us. Check in was the easiest and fastest I've ever had. The staff was friendly and overly eager to help us with whatever we needed. They provided ice so we didn't have to get it, brought us extra pillows and blankets with no hassle. The […] room was awesome and perfect for 3-4 people. The location was a block away from the Shelbourne and beach where our friends were staying. The bathroom and shower was clean and modern. We stayed there for one night before our cruise. When we visited the Shelbourne i was actually very happy we booked the Sanctuary instead and I would definitely stay there the next time I'm in South Beach! There were people of all ages, were in our 20's. The rooftop pool was small but perfect to lounge during the day or take a quick dip at night. Overall i would recommend this hotel to everyone I know! "Terrible experience, loud room"
I stayed at the Sanctuary on a Wednesday night. It is a small hotel, but the rooms have a nice set up. However, the air conditioner and the fan were SO LOUD that I could not sleep - the HVAC system is clearly old and in desperate need of repair. I spent the night sweltering in an 84 degree room, because turning on the a/c was too loud to sleep with. The […] toilet in my room did not flush, it seemed to not be connected to the water main. Instead of being switched to another room, the hotel sent a maintenance man in with a dirty plunger and he worked in the bathroom for nearly an hour. The parking was absurd, with the valet making up a price ($35!!) on the spot - it contradicted the posted $23 sign. I do not recommend this hotel. It was hardly a relaxing, convenient or enjoyable stay. Lisez la suite
I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay at the Sanctuary South Beach. We will use your review as feedback to better the hotel and our facilities. I will make sure that the valet is notified of the conflict in pricing as well as the maintenance staff regarding the issues you seemed to encounter. Again, thank you for your review, as we are always looking to improve our guests experiences.
1 réponse par The Sanctuary South Beach"Sanctuary Hotel - pros and cons"
The HOtel looks like a magazine, all the rooms are very cool with trendy furniture and very confortable beds. The problem seems to be the services that are not 100%. The vallet which is in front of the hotel is full of atittude and is not polite at all (despite of using the hotel t-shirt seems that they aren't 100% commited with the hotel). If you come […] with shopping bags they will not help you.. believe me. You have to enter the hotel and ask for help. The hotel has a excellent restaurant on the front and maybe it is the problem, it takes some time to people start recognizing you as a guest. All the hotel staff are very polite and tries to help you, but looks like there are few people to do a lot f work. I reccomend staing at the Sanctuary because of the big room and the location, but the service could be improved. Even though I would return.. Lisez la suite
"Not impressed"
The hotel seemed nice enough at first, but a series of little things combined to make this a pass for me the next time I'm in Miami Beach. First, they had no room keys. None. So, if you wanted to get into your room they had to come up with you to let you in. Want to go to the pool? Better go to the lobby in your swim trunks if you want to get back […] into your room. But then that didn't matter, since the pool was empty. The valet parking across the street is a bit of a misnomer - never have I seen a more complacent group of characters. When I went to get my car the first day, he handed me the keys, said it looked to be blocked in, and suggested I back over the curb to get around the car in front. He could have just moved the car out of the way, the lot wasn't crowded. But after a dozen or so back/forward/back/forward's, I was free. The rainshower showerhead in my room was a nice touch, but it was mounted so low that even average height people have to duck under it to bathe. The toilet ran all night. Nice staff, and I liked the room layout, but overall not a great stay. Lisez la suite
"Wonderful Experience"
I bought a stay her for my step-daughter from the UK and she told me it was a wonderful experience and loved the place. I thought it was great value for money so all in all we were both more than satisfied. Veronica
"Price was good, Quality was NOT."
Overall, the price was right but all the difficulties we had made me regret choosing the Sanctuary. Pros: -Good Location -Great Restaurant -Inexpensive for the area Cons: -Cheap/uncomfortable furnishings and beds -Mysterious charges made on our credit card (The hotel was very rude when I inquired about it so the credit card company is handling it for […] me.) -Our room key/door stopped working and they staff had to break into our room to open it for us -Unhelpful staff -Rude, expensive valet service, we had to get our own car half the time -Rooms not cleaned thoroughly Lisez la suite
"Good place to stay if rates are low"
The rooms need some maintenance, but lets be honest, Miami hotels can be really terrible and this one was totally fine. The only issue is the valet parking - - it isnt associated with the hotel and its unmanned after midnight. This creates a host of problems if you're going to arrive or leave after midnight. You can wait an eternity for your car. Plus, […] no car security. so be careful. Our rental car got keyed really badly one night and now we have a huge bill to deal with... Lisez la suite

"Please read this review before booking"
My new husband and I decided to book this hotel as part of our honeymoon!!! It was like a 1 star. There were ants in our room. We changed rooms twice and still were bombarded with a terrible room. It was so nasty and gross, we decided not to stay the 2nd night and find another hotel. Please, please, read this and do NOT book here. You will be very, […] very sickened and disappointed. "Past its Prime"
The hotel must have been a great lady in her day however its quite obvious general maintenance and upkeep have been neglected. The pool is still not operational - ridiculous. The hotel's rerestaurant,Ola, was good however the entree's were always over salted. Would not return.
"sanctuary south beach"
The hotel is situated abit north of the main beach -front area, about a 10 minute walk and is set 2 blocks form the beach. The location however is very handy for the Lincoln street mall which is a very nice collection of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The hotel itself looks presentable and clean upon entry, however during our stay of 5 days we […] found a cockroach one morning, the ceiling leeked a brown water and the airconditioning stopped working. In addition to this upon arrival we were told the pool was out of service due to a licensing issue so i would check this is resolved before booking. Other than these down points it is a nice hotel with spacious rooms just away from the noise of the action. Lisez la suite
"The Sanctuary isn't a must see"
The hotel location was perfect, but as far as the condition of the rooms wasn't satisfactory. We had to change rooms twice because room amenities not working correctly. The beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff were somewhat helpful, but the maintenance people didn't fully clean the rooms. When we returned to the room for the evening we found […] ants in the beds. I wouldn't suggest this hotel at a must stay for Miami visitors Lisez la suite
This hotel is overated as compared to what it should be. I have impression de be in a 2 stars hotel or less. For the first day, when I came back to the hotel evening time, my room was stil not be cleanned. Further, I had to speak loudly saying that I may need to change the hotel in case my room cannot be cleanned.
"Not a 4-star hotel in my opinion"
This hotel is not a 4-star for the following reasons: A myriad of bugs in the room (ants, something that looked like a millipede) An extremely weak breakfast (poor selection, poor quality, milk & OJ aren't cold) I was never informed about a swimming pool, although I here there was one somewhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a person who can answer questions. The […] lighting is poor - I requested new light bulbs one evening, and they were never replaced. The neighborhood does not feel safe at night. Lisez la suite
"Mini Bar mess up"
Overall the hotel was nice. The location was great with easy access to the beach and the strip. The pool was "under construction" and was not available at all, we were told we could use the neighbor hotel's but we did not use it. There was road construction on the road of the hotel, so traveling on the road was not very easy. "Valet" parking was $30 […] a day, but it was basically you paying for a parking spot, in which most of the time we were handed the keys to our vehicle which we got ourselves. (not valet) When it was time for check out we were told we had $200 additional charges which they claimed were from the mini bar and 3 nights of valet. We payed for the week of parking in advance and took NOTHING from the minibar. They tried to charge us for drinks taken out of the mini bar which we did not, they tried charging us for beer out of the mini bar and there was not even any beer in the mini bar! Then he tried to charge us tax on the $30 a day valet parking!! I had to argue with the front desk attendent for 20 minutes about the additional charges. He was not very helpful and acted like there was nothing he could do and he was being rude. I had to tell him I was not paying for the additional charges, I was very mad I am still awaitng my credit card statement to see if we were still charged. The room was okay and the hotel was okay, but due to the checkout experience I would NEVER stay there again and would warn anyone else considering it. GOOD LUCK! Lisez la suite
"Convenient location to Lincoln Rd and Convention C"
Friendly, helpful service. Valet parking accross the street was convenient. Delightful suite recently redecorated, very tastefully done. We didn't have an opportunity to eat at the restuarant, but Zagat rated and looked inviting. Continental […] breakfast superb. Lisez la suite
"Memorial Day weekend beach trip"
I stayed at The Sanctuary during Memorial Day weekend, not aware of how crazy Miami can be during this weekend. Thank goodness I chose this hotel, because it was out of the chaos of Lincoln and Collins and I was actually able to get a good nights sleep! The only downfall to the property was that the rooftop pool was not open (seemed to be under construction), […] so the beach was the only option. Also the air conditioning in my room was VERY loud, even after maintenance came to fix the rattling noise. Other than this, the hotel was a nice getaway from the weekend chaos and was very close to all the restaurants and bars on Lincoln, which we were sadly confined to because of the weekend traffic down on Collins and Ocean Drive. I enjoyed my stay at the Sanctuary Hotel, but the rooms smelled a little musty and were truly in need of a paint job. The lighting was too dim to get dressed, but other than that everything else was excellent.
"Not As Expected"
The staff at this hotel were excellent other than housekeeping but, the room was very disappointing, especially the bathroom. The pool was closed the entire stay but, the restaurant at the hotel made up for that because the food was amazing and the staff were very professional. If they made a few changes dealing with the room, I would definitely go […] back but, as of now, it's a no go. Lisez la suite
"Nice hotel but GET A ROOM AWAY FROM THE KITCHEN!"
My wife and I booked this hotel for a one night stay. We specifically chose it for the location. It's a walk away from many great things South Beach has to offer. We chose to pay for the valet parking located directly across the street. The person working the front desk was very friendly. He pointed us to our room, 102, which was the first one on the […] left as soon as you enter the court yard. At first we thought it was convinient but we would later find out it was far from that. We had an issue with the key card not working but the guy working the front desk quickly replaced them. My wife and I couldn't believe how nice the room was. The pictures don't do it any justice. There was a small kitchen area with a sink and microwave, and a modern yet comfortable couch and a large lcd flat panel tv in the living room. The bathroom consisted of a sink area located on the outside near the bedroom and a step-down tub and shower and the toilet in its own enclosed area. The bedroom was a nice size for two people. It had a nice amount of lighting, an armoire with a safe inside, a small lcd falt panel tv in a corner and a queen size bed. The bed had some nice sheets but it felt too soft. When my wife and I laid down the middle felt so unsupportive and soft that we sunk in towards the middle. "Not a big deal" we were thinking but then we started hearing a bunch of noise in the next room. It was the people working the kitchen. It wasn't a crazy amount of noise so we just blocked the noise out of our minds. We inspected the room for cleanliness and it was overall pretty clean with the exception of a hairball we found on the kitchen floor and some handprints on the bathroom wall and door. We left our stuff there and headed out to grab a bite to eat before heading out for a concert that night. When we got back, we got ready to head out. The noise next door was still there. We hoped and prayed that when we got back late that night the noise would stop. We got back at around 11:30pm. As Lisez la suite
We had a good stay at the Sanctuary but honestly we were a bit worried before going due to the variation of good and bad reviews this hotel has had at various sites. after staying for 8 days with my girlfriend I think it all comes down to what your expectations are and your purpose of the trip. like many hotels the website looks much better than reality […] but never mind. we had a very big room with terrace. The staff was very friendly and helped out booking restaurants etc. Location is perfect close to everything and only 2 blocks away from the beach. The main problem with this place is that they seem to focus on the restaurant (Ola, very good by the way) and not the hotel....the room was cleaned occasionally and many times quite poorly. Terracec with a lot o falling leaves wasn't wiped once in 8 days. also many things were hanging loose....toilet paper holder, shower handle etc, mini bar was never refilled...what I am saying is that with very little improvements this place could be a much better hotel and really deserve the 4 stars....now I wouldn't say more than 3. I think that the ambition is there from many of the staff and management, but not with all the staff. We never intended to stay in our room so much so for us it was ok, we had a really good holiday but if you want cosy evenings in your room.....this is not the place. if you want a comfortable place with good location and helpful staff and don't care so much if everything is top notch then this good value. "Sanctuary Hotel in Miami"
Arriving at the hotel was a bit inconvenient as there is road maintenance being done by the city. But, that was the only downside to the stay at this very friendly, clean and nicely appointed hotel. Located very close to the center of things and a block and a half to the beach. Rooms very comfortable, clean and nicely laid out. The staff were all very […] friendly and helpfull in all ways. A nice continental breakfast is served with fruit, yogurts and assorted bagels and muffins. This is a hidden gem in the South Beach hotel market Lisez la suite
"Absolutly wonderful experience!"
Excellent service, hotel staff went above and beyond. Absolutly wonderful stay. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and our overall stay was as perfect as it could possibly have been. Would definetly go back again if we managed to get as good a deal next time.
"The sanctuary south beach."
There was torrential rain, we were offered crates to get from the taxi to the pavement, the road was a river, there was huge roadworks the whole length of the road, this wasnt mentioned in the description, the road was closed at 1 point. we only booked 2 days before we travelled. The hotel is rated 4*, realistically the restaurant not connected to the […] hotel is the 4* bit. The hotel was awash with rainwater when we arrived, ( weather not thier fault) but open tiled walkways - no caution signs meant it was very slippy. The hotel looked very grubby. The internet sites also dont tell you they want a $100 pn credit card swipe for in room bar etc or that the small hotel pool on the roof has been closed for health and safety issues. The spa is very pricey. The rooms are nice, there are no coffee/tea making facilities as advertised. There was a constant sewagey smell from the shower room - why they give you such a large shower cubicle when you have to hug the wall to get wet is a mystery too , and it didnt look to clean either. There is a balcony but it is so small you couldnt really sit comfortably out there. There is lots of greenery/plants in the hotel centre which makes the place look very dark and claustrophobic. We were offered a free continental breakfast throughout our stay which was nice. The manager was v nice and did say we could use the facilities at the sister hotel The Shelbourne,(also under refurbishment at the moment) nice pool, none of the reception staff mentioned this despite talking to 3 of them in 36hrs. Great place !!!!!
This is not a 4 star hotel as they claim. There are only 2 floors, the door is kind of old. There is only one remote control for 2 TVs. It supposed to have full kitchen, but it only has microwave. The frig is actually a mini bar, not really a frig for guests to use. Ice machine is locked and one has to call front desk to get someone send ice to the […] room. There is no desk for you to work on computer and the internet is very slow. The glass wall for the bathroom looks nice but the lights go through the bathroom to the bed room and disturb someone else's sleep. However, the hotel is quiet and the restaurant is very nice (but pricey). Lisez la suite
"Can't Recommend the Sanctuary"
The hotel has a good location to the beach and Lincoln Road. Good sized rooms and very pleasant (if sometimes clueless) staff. But the minuses add up. Hair left in the shower, drippy faucets, light switches that don't do anything, burnt out light bulbs, running toilets, loud partiers late at night, the cute wading pool on the roof closed since 7/10 […] for "public safety" reasons, no heat in the rooms (which can make it chilly when the temps drop into the 40s and 30s), construction out front (not their fault, but a real turn off), very loud music in the atriums, cheap scratchy sheets and towels, etc. It appears their popular restaurant (Ola) is the main business and the hotel is a hobby. Also, they should never rent out room 102. It is next to their office and kitchen, which is very noisy well past Midnight. It's hard to say this is a "good value" (which it appeared to be when I booked it) when you wouldn't stay here again at any price. They could turn this around; it is a nice property. But they need better hotel management, that is, remember they are also a hotel. Lisez la suite

"The Santuary in Miami Beach is anything but!"
Furniture is uncomfortable, the bed sags in the middle but the worst surprise was when we looked out the bedroom door onto the balcony outside our first floor room. The hotel was using this balcony as a storage area for large equipment - from behind it looked like a refridgeration unit. To add insult, a hotel working then used our balcony for his smoking […] break, talking the whole time on his cell phone while we were trying to sleep! While the price was discounted, I would rather pay full price for a decent room! Lisez la suite
