The Solita Soho Hotel, an Ascend Collection hotel - New York

Un bon plan pour visiter Manhattan. Métro, Word Trade Center, restaurants italiens à proximité. Chambre exigüe mais impeccable. Pas de petit déjeuner mais il y a un Starbucks café à 300 mètres.

This little hotel in the middel of a busy city was a great place to stay its close to everything. on our stay we where only a few block from the Astor Place Theatre where my girlfriend and i saw the blue man group and let me tell you for a small theatre they really put on a great show. This place was great! I read the reviews before about the small rooms and thin walls, but to be honest it's not that bad. I mean the room is very small, but it was nice and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable! It is right by Canal Street and the subway is real close. We never took a cab, it's right in the middle of everything. Small rooms but clean, modern, quiet and convenient to Soho. We could park in front during check in and get our luggage into the room. . .then had a quick trip around the block to a paid lot. When we checked out at noon, they allowed us to check our bags while we did some afternoon shopping before departing the city.

Staff was great. Parking wasn't too much of an issue as there are plenty of 24-hour street parking spots, and pay to park garages around. Multiple little coffee shops are around and you are right next to little Italy. Room was small, but that's what you're going to find in NYC. I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel is very well located in Soho, close to a lot of restaurants and nightlife and the room is comfortable and clean. The beds and pillow were very comfortable, but the room was extremely small (I don't care though). The walls are kind of thin so you can hear people coming and going. Small room with very comfortable beds and perfect size bathroom with full tub/shower Good location to Soho shopping and sights. Great diner across street with amazing deal on breakfast. Would definitely return

Horrible! Dirty! Small!! Pubic hair in te bed sheets! Hair in shower!! Dusty filthy everywhere!

Perfect stay for a few days in New York. Surroundings very close to Chinatown. Good price for this quality.

This is a descent place but very basic. The room was small but provided what we needed including an iron and board. Bed was comfortable. Location was excellent and close to the Mulberry Street restaurants of Little Italy. Designer shopping was also very close. Eventhough the rooms are very small they are very comfortable. The bed, pillows and linens are high quality and the shower heads are great! And everything you need for a fun weekend in NYC is right out the front door. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the loud hallways, which is only a function of them being small so you can hear […] people coming in and out of their rooms. But so what? Our room smelled so badly from bleach that they had to use a machine to try to purify, but it wasn't enough. Very loud from the road, as we were in the front room. Service very friendly

No hot water and was a bit loud. It was good price/ size for NYC. Right next to FCI.

If you like the downtown living, shopping, walking and convenience, this hotel is perfect. You walk one way to upper Manhattan and the other way to the lower Manhattan or the sea port. A room for 4 is ok but not really suitable for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We are not overweight or particularly tall just average. Kids too. The 2 beds seem to be larger than a twin and smaller than a full sized bed. We were there for 2 nights over the weekend. More than 2 nights would have been too much as we did not get too much sleep due […] the comfort level of the small beds. My recent visit to this hotel was marred by an overnight water line leak which left me unable to check into my room. This would have been okay, had the hotel told me this earlier in the day when I dropped of my bags (it was before check in time) or called me to let me know they had booked me in another hotel for the night. You can't ask for much more at this price. Seriously good location with very nice and accomodating hotel staff. I expected the rooms to be so-so and rough around the edges, and even perhaps less than clean. That was simply not the case! The room was very small but clean and modern. The bed was a little lumpy but good pillows... Good bathroom!! No meal services whatsoever and few amenities.... They raised the rate when I extended my stay because of a snowstorm... bad form... Very convenient to Canal Street station

We have stayed in seveal chain hotels in NYC prior to Solita, but thought we would give this one a try. Though the hotel offers a great location, friendly staff and is clean, this is not the hotel for you if you are looking for sizable rooms and beds. Our double/double room was extremely small. The beds were barely full-sized, not queens with one bed […] up against the a/c unit. In addition, there is little room for more than 1 person to move around in the room. !We will go back to staying at a major chain that offers larger rooms. Lisez la suite

This is a clean, basic place to stay in NYC in a great location. The room was small, and was crowded with the four of us, but the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, parking, etc. We'd definitely stay there again. Verry helpful and cheerful front desk employee. The rooms were clean and upto date. It was excellent value for money experience. The location is also very good.

The room was very small -- not even enough for a 2 pieces of luggage without having to trip over them. The bathroom was not as nice as it could have been for this type of hotel--dirty grout and peeling. My main complaint is that we booked a non-smoking room but smoke came in either from a vent or air conditioner . When we noticed it, it was too late […] at night to change rooms. When I said something to the front desk the next morning, she just said it is a non-smoking room and not much else. I was in town for a quick trip with my girlfriends, the location was perfect so easy to get to everything (bars & shopping). Cutest neighborhood and it didn't hurt to be right around the corner from top shop. ;) The room was decent, no complaints. It's not a hotel to spend much time in just a place to crash which is what we needed and it worked out […] perfect for the price and location. the hotel is modern, clean and the staff are friendly. the hotel is situated on grand st. which is a good base to check out little italy, china town etc. decent for the price and would recommend it to friends.

We were very happy with the accommodations. Located just South of Little Italy, it was a comfortable walk to NYU dorm. Room and bathroom were nice and clean. Desk staff very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. We will stay here again.

I would recommend this hotel for a business traveler. Staff was very nice. Allowed me to check in early. Room is small and would probably be a little uncomfortable for 2 people. Good location, convenient to chian town, little italy and soho area.

I highly recommend this hotel, based both on the hotel itself (room, building, service), and its location. On a previous visit we stayed at a much larger hotel uptown because it seemed more in the middle of the action. I think many of the hotels there are almost too in the middle of the action. SoLita was in a great shopping and eating area, in walking […] distance of NYU and Washington Square, and of the subway. It was a nice easy ride to anywhere we could think to go - uptown near Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum, and downtown to see the WTC site, Battery Park, city hall, the statue of liberty, and Ellis Island. I do want to mention that the rooms were small, but this is not a surprise in New York from my experience. It was comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for! Lisez la suite

Great location, though the elevators didn't work at one point and the front desk staff wasn't all that helpful. Overall, I would stay there again - especially considering how cheap it is - but I wasn't floored by anything but the location.

Room was small but clean and functional-proximity of air conditioner to second bed made one bed uncomfortable. Subway created nightclub type rumble each time it passed. Fighting couple next door went on for hours without any staff intervention probably due to the fact that there appeared to be only one paid staff member at the front desk. Small on ammentities […] and staff with no interest in customer satisfaction. Clock radio did not work-wake up call button went to an phone that was not answered. Teeny tiny room, but comfortable enough for the price. We couldn't get the air conditioner to work very well, so I might not stay there at the height of summer.

I really liked this hotel. Everything was great though the carpet needed a thorough steam clean and the walls could use fresh paint and wallpaper. The staff were great. I really liked the boutique hotel quality. It was quiet and pleasant.

Personalen var väldigt trevliga & hjälpsamma. Ganska trångt i rummet (de 2 jättestora sängar tog nästan allt utrymme) men rummet var rent & välstädat. Sängar var väldigt bekväma. En nackdel vid hotellets läge var oväsen som hörs från tunnelbanan under gatan precis utanför hotellet.
