The room was wonderful but the rest of the motel was disappointing. When we arrived the restaurant was closed. It closes between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner . The restaurant is also buffet style so it is very pricey it you just want a little something to eat. Also there is nothing to do there when it is storming outside . No lounge […] and no indoor pool. The only pool was outside and very green, so there was nothing to do but stay in your room. Even if the weather was nice you couldn't use the pool . Very nice hotel, reasonably priced. We stayed here for one night on the back end of our vacation to Hilton Head Island, we visited Charleston for a day before returning home. The staff, especially Pavi at front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating to our requests. We would definitely stay again when visiting the Charleston area.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The hotel gave us a free upgrade to a suite, which had an awesome bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and double sinks. Also had a large, flat screen tv. The bed was somewhat hard and my husband and I both had difficulty sleeping. The location is so-so. Several miles from downtown area.

Great hotel for the price. Rooms were decorated beautifully and very clean. Breakfast was great. Loved the quiet location after visiting the crowded downtown Charleston area. Also a great locale for traveling outside the area. Highly recommended.

This hotel is outside of downtown Charleston (a $20 cab ride each way) but it has great rooms at a good price. There not not a lot of good restaurants in the area, but it is located towards two of the plantations that you may want to visit anyway. It is next to the highway, so very easy to access other areas, and easier if you are driving to Hilton […] Head or Savannah or Florida. Best restaurant in the area is The Glass Onion for local food. This was an excellent place to stay in Charleston. We are from Charleston and have stayed in various locations around the city--from downtown to Folly Beach! This suite was by far the most luxurious and comfortable place of all. For business guests or tourists, the location is ideal.

Pros: Friendly, personable staff. Room was clean Linens were nice Smaller space than expected but well thought out layout made up for it. Cons: very loud bathroom fan that can not be turned off. Could be heard even with door tightly shut. But this seems necessary to keep the humidity at bay. So, to sacrifice noise comfort for the possibility of mold- […] I would write this off as a minor gripe. The paid breakfast buffet superficially was unappetizing. But none of it seemed to be made from instant mixes/microwaveable messes- which was pleasant. I went back for seconds :) Overall I enjoyed my stay very much. We honeymooned in Charleston (actually Isle of Palms) 30 yrs. ago and loved the area for it's historical and it's romantic values. Overall, this made our 4th trip to Charleston since. This is the first time to stay at the Town&Country and we were very impressed with the updating of an older sprawling motel. Price was reasonable and everything was clean […] & comfortable. Loved the separate shower/tub combo. Convenient to the plantations & to downtown Charleston. Great breakfast buffet and convenient to many restaurants as well. This seems to be a new or newly remodeled hotel. Beatiful rooms, upscale sheets and all appointments; top notch. My one serious complaint about the hotel is the inadequate parking. They must have really pulled one over the zoning board. During a busy time I could see this being a serious problem, and they know it. They have signs near the lobby stating […] emphatically "5 minute parking for registration only". I also have no idea where the pool is... I didn't see it casually looking around outside or inside. Might be in another building? Not sure. They provide an in room keurig coffee machine. Much better than folgers (:) ) but they only provided 2 cups of regular and 2 cups of decaf. No idea if they would have supplied more by request. Last complaint was that they do not provide free continental breakfast. Seemed strange. The location is not ideal, fairly busy road, and a bit difficult to enter/exit...especially in order to get to Charleston. Overall, I loved the room itself, but would not stay at this hotel again. This is a nice hotel with very comfortable beds and amenities. Location was further out than we wanted, however is a straight easy drive to town and has free parking so really wasn't a problem. This would be great for several night stay with the kitchenette. Minor inconvenience of not having a full-length mirror in room (surprising how much you miss […] it, especially us shorter folk). More problematic is constant cold air blowing in bathroom with no control; I was very glad to have a bathrobe and slippers. They really need to adjust that. The hotel has been almost fully renovated and guests need not fear hearing ongoing work. The location is easily reached from the airport and its location on Rte 17 provides easy access to downtown Charleston for a much more reasonable cost than similar accommodations in the old town. We loved it. The hotel was exactly what the reviews said it was. When we pulled up there was plywood in the front upper windows and my husband was worried. I told him the reviews said it was under construction on the outside but the rooms were great. We got to our room and it was beautiful and our bed was so comfortable. I am not a late sleeper, but […] it was 9:00 every morning before I woke up. We always used the stairs and even their stairwell was spotless. It was convenient to everything we did and a great price. The pool area was beautiful but the weather was too cool to use it. We didn't eat in the dining room because we wanted to try coffee shops in the area. We had a wonderful stay and was more than satisfied with the hotel! We will stay there again and highly recommend it. Although the room was nice, there is a fan in the vanity area that runs constantly and is very noisy. We asked the front desk about the noise and they said it was working as designed. If this is the case the design is wrong. The only way that you can quiet the noise to close every door in the area and then the bathroom gets so cold that you can hardly […] stand it. We did not want to spend a fortune while visitng Charleston and this hotel, just renovated did the trick. The staff is warm, friendly and incredible. The room renovation that of a 4-4.5 star hotel. Custom cabinetry through the room-also very spacious, two generous queens and a sitting area, and luxurious quality bedding and duvets with an abundance […] of hyper allergenic pillows!! Large flats screen TV, free Wifi, convenient mini refrig. microwave (if you need it). Bathroom transitional in style, shower and tub, nicely done. The hotel has a very nice pool area, and offers a work out room, everything very well maintained. Although in good condition, we we told that the lobby, restaurant area will be renovated next and and a small business center created to print out boarding passes etc. We can only imagine this will be done tastefully as well. Over all, we recommend this hotel, great value, upscale service, welcoming. We usually prefer boutique hotels but would definatley stay here again. Just a 15 min drive into the old city. Totally enjoyed our three day stay at this beautiful Inn. Our room had the shower separate from the bath tub. Granite countertops in bedroom and bathroom. Ceramic coffee mugs are provided with a great coffee maker. The linens were 5 star hotel quality and the beds were very comfortable. Easy access to car parking and great security. Beautiful pool area, […] but the water was not heated so we did not take advantage of the pool (weather was in the low 70s during our stay). Hotel is right on Savannah Hwy that leads to downtown Charleston in 20 minutes. There is nothing interesting in the surrounding neighborhood of the hotel. We made sure to come back to our room only to sleep. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I think during the remodel they must have put granite on top of existing […] surfaces because the result is that the desk is too high to sit at the chair and comfortably use your computer. The coffee cabinet is too high to see where the fill line is on the Keurig. The bathroom sink required my standing on tiptoes to brush my teeth. Caveat = I am only 5'1". I used the guest laundry and exercise room and enjoyed both. My husband felt the resistance equipment in the gym needed some maintenance. Room was quite spacious. Enjoyed the 4 nights in Charleston. Room and hotel accommodations were extraordinarily good for motel. Only one issue was that the motel was reluctant to cash American Express Travelers Checks. They were hesitant to cash one, but did so. When I needed a 2nd cashed later the staff refused. They checked with management and nobody seemed to know for sure […] if they should. So they decided not to. I had to proceed to a local bank to get it cashed. Which was inconvenient. However, I asked to speak to the owner or for his name. They said he was unavailable but gave me his name and phone number. I called and left a voicemail. After we left Charleston for Savanna, GA I received a phone call a couple of days later. He apologized for the confusion and said that they should have cashed the travelers check. He was very concerned that I was not happy with that situation and apologized for the confusion. I couldn't understand why the staff didn't contact him personally on my behalf when I asked for his name and number. I also didn't understand why they didn't call him themselves. Anyway, it was a very good motel and conveniently located for us. We would definitely stay there again. Lisez la suite
