"HOTEL FIUME : BON RAPPORT QUALITE/PRIX"
"Hotel B&H Fiume- Fabulous little hotel."
My Mother and I have just returned from a 4 day break in Rome. We stayed at the Hotel Fiume for 3 nights. We decided to get a taxi from the airport as we had limited time. It cost around 45 Euros and took around half an hour. There are plenty outside the airport. On arrival at the hotel we had a very friendly welcome and bags were taken up to the room […] for us. The hotel itself is chic, modern and clean. We had a twin room and the size of the room was good. The shower was powerful, there was free use of the safe and mini bar (charged). The included breakfast was fantastic, good range of teas and coffees. Toast, pastries and cakes. Eggs and Bacon, fresh meats and cheeses, fresh fruits and yoghurts. More than enough to keep you going until lunch. Fresh food and clean breakfast room. You could walk to pretty much everywhere from the hotel. (as long as you dont mind walking)The only public transport we used was a bus to the Vatican City. We found it nice to just wander down the back streets on the way to the main attractions, we came across some beautiful and interesting things this way. The neighbourhood itself was clean and safe. We walked out for Diner on the Via Veneto (lots of nice restaurants and bars here, we liked Harry'as bar). There is also a restaurant just around the corner (come out the hotel and face right, take the next left and it's on your right, i forget the name but it has a yellow sign) that serves authentic Italian food at a really good price. Service here was great, I highly recommend it. It took probably 15-20 mins to get to the spanish steps from the hotel. overall I would highly recommend this hotel. I am used to staying in 5 star hotels and although this hotel isn't quite that, it is clean, modern, friendly, in a good loaction and reasonably priced. You wouldnt regret spending your time here as long as you dont want to be really really central and dont mind a little walking. Lisez la suite
"new year in Rome"
My husband and I came for a 4 day weekend over the new year. The staff were polite and accommodating, the room was clean and well presented (small but to be expected). No matter what we set the ventilation to - the room was warm during the night, and surprisingly we had to sleep with the balcony door ajar. We walked everywhere, which did wear us out […] a little by the end, however it is a safe area and we had no issues. We ate locally on the last night and wished we had done so throughout the whole trip - much less touristy and good food that the locals enjoy. All in all a very enjoyable stay - but beware as the walk into town might be a bit too much for some and you may need alternate transport. Lisez la suite

Great location! Close to the train station and attraction. Hotel has a bus stop around the corner. Staffs are very helpful and kind.
"Hotel Fiume"
The rooms are small but we had a very large balcony. We purchased lunch from nearby spots and had a lovely lunch on the spacious balcony. This hotel is out of the way and very quiet. The rooms are very well appointed.
"GREAT HOTEL"
Beautiful Hotel located very conveniently near the bus station, which was a great way to get anywhere in Rome! The staff was so attentive and really took their time to explain how to get to different locations and recommended great places to dine out as well!

"OK experience - Breoadly you get what you pay for"
My wife and I booked into Fiume for four nights in an executive room. Whilst the room was fine certain features were not maintained or satisfactory - bath plug broken, toilet door not closing, uncomfortable chairs, small room for price of €160 per night. Room did have a balcony shared with others in front of the entrance door which was a nice feature. […] Breakfast buffet was reasonable and included in the price but it was not extraordinary and certainly not as good as one might expect for a 4* hotel. The big downer was the attitude of the receptionist staff who were somewhat unhelpful with directions, taxis etc. One negative of our experience was significant overcharging in the bar lobby. I was overcharged by some €4 per drink - €12 for a gin and tonic! The bar was not busy and the errors were inexcusable. After some argument at reception the overcharging was corrected. Overall not good value for money but I have stayed in worse!! Lisez la suite
"wonderful vacation"
The hotel is slightly out of the mix but we chose this bc it was cheaper. The front desk was excellent in giving us directions (via walking, metro, or bus) to where ever we wanted to go. We were 20 min. walking to Trevi Fountain, 15-20 min walking to the Termini station (or 5-8 min bus ride). Rome is a wonderful place. The streets are narrow so city […] blocks are closer vs. America. Food is delicious, the wine. . . unless u know your wine order the cappuccino. The people are very nice so long as you respect the fact that you're in their country. Lisez la suite
"A great "local" hotel away from the tourism bustle"
On our first trip to Rome, we (2) East Coast Americans, who consider ourselves seasoned travelers & appreciative of crature comforts yet are adventurous, were very pleased with Hotel Fiume. The locations suited us, as it was not in a very tourist-related areaand the local restaurants were filled with Romans enjoying excellent local fare. Room was very […] clean and accomodating. We had a room on the street, and noise was minimal in May. Great hotel, near Villa Borghese beauty. Staff was very helpful, arranging cars, taxis, directions, etc. Morning brealfast buffet was our best in Italy. 10-15 minute walk from Termini Station, but cab-it with luggage as roads are curvy, indirect , thin and bumpy-cobblestone. Enjoy. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Fiume - quiet and convenient"
Hotel looked as if it had been recently refurbished although I suspect they just maintain it really well. It has the aspirations, look and feel of a "boutique" hotel. Triple room was quite big although lacked clothing storage even for a double - adequate only I'd say. A bit pricy for the attention given to clients but perhaps that's the way...on some […] occasions it had the feel of a "backpackers", especially with no in-house restaurant. No other facilities/comforts - just B&B and free WiFi in room €5 for 24hrs of internet in lobby. Staff very friendly and very helpful on approaching them, they don't approach you. Perfect English spoken despite my attempts at Italian. Very small lift, but I find this typical of hotels wedged into small streets, and not a problem. Situated in a quiet area, but ask for a room at the back anyway as small backroads get inexplicably busy with honking traffic at times. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants all of similar prices and practically the same menu, but of differing quality and atmosphere - makes it an interesting and comparitive dining experience. We could not find any cheap, quick-stop, "snacky" restaurants near the hotel. My only suggestions to the hotel would be to vary the buffet every couple of days (scrambled eggs and bacon again!) and to install a second coffee machine to prevent queues, although I think a 4-star hotel should make fresh coffee and serve at table. Popularity and atmosphere of the hotel was displayed at breakfast...buffet was really busy, yet you hardly saw or heard anyone else. 10 minute walk to the nearest of the two Metro lines (B)...15 minutes to Metro line A,...25 minutes along interesting busy roads to centre of town and a host of famous sights. Found the taxi from Leoardo di Vinci airport to hotel (and return) was only slightly dearer than catching the dedicated airport train to/from the city then a short taxi (and much less hassle). Verdict : Probably 3.0 stars overall (not 4 as advertised) if you ignore Lisez la suite
"Oasis"
t is a 15 minute walk from the Metro. The hotel great! The people were friendly, helpful, and gracious. When arriving early and departing late we were able to leave our luggage with the hotel, they were helpful in finding our way in Rome. We arrived quite early before our room was ready and quite tired and must of looked it. We were able to have a complimentary […] breakfast, I think they took pity on us! The breakfast served were very good. The chef knew how to cook scrambled eggs which wasn't the case in to other hotels we stayed. It was a great stay. As in other reviews not close to the center of Rome, giving the location a flavor of the Italian culture away from the tourist areas. We would give it 5 stars. Lisez la suite
"A Lovely Hotel"
Staff were always helpful, the breakfasts are very nice, the rooms are clean and modern. The Hotel is convenient to buses and shops and local historic sites. we couldn't have asked for more.
"quiet and cheap"
Booked this place beacause of the great price I found on Hotels.com. Perfectly content with the hotel as a stopover before travelling onwards. Breakfast was fine but don't be too disappointed if you miss it. Tight bathroom, but the room on the 6th floor with the little juliette balcony was nice!
"nice room very small shoower"
The hotel was very good and clean. The front desk staff can use some updating, be more friendly and no so basic. if you are in a tourist industry , you better like tourist you are not doing any favor to any body this is your job, better learn to like it or get out of the industry. The room was clean comfortable , the bathroom was a good size, the shower […] a bit small and not very good drainage. We stay in room 230 on the street side , quite noise if you have to open the windows during September or October , because neither air or heater is run from the hotel at this time of the year. No screens on the windows so make sure you keep light curtains close , mosquitoes will eat you alive at night. Breakfast was good , can use better coffee , not out of a machine with Nescafe. The fresh squeeze orange juice was excellent. Good Luck , but do your research. Lisez la suite
"Great room for the money"
The breakfast spread was great. The Hotel was recently updated and everything is clean and modern
"Update hotel just a bit on the outskirts"
This hotel has recently been renovated so it's clean and has that new feeling. The location is in far northeast Rome (so it appears on the map they give you at the concierge). We paid for a wireless card but the wireless didn't work and I had to argue with them about the charge. We also woke up sweating because it was so hot in our room. As we were […] only there to sleep we didn't complain so this is kind of our fault. Overall no major complaints! Lisez la suite
"Nice and cozy"
This hotel is clean, modern and in a quiet neighborhood. The continental breakfast is outstanding. I love the fresh squeeze orange juice that they provide. Although they serve the same food everyday ( we stayed there for 1 week) there's a wide range of variety that you can choose. The bathroom is modern, but the way it is set up, the floor gets wet […] everytime you shower. I think that is not unusual in European shower stalls as same happens on 3 other hotels we stayed at in Spain and Italy.Overall, it was a great experience. Lisez la suite
"Very nice design hotel"
The hotel is recently renovated and looks great. The rooms a very nicely decorated, wooden floors and a stylish badroom. The location is a little inconvenient, it's a 15 minute walk the the spanish steps.
"Set Away From the Action"
A solid walk (or a short bus ride) from all the major sights, but this was definitely NOT a bad thing. During the days that we were there we would get up in the morning, make a stop at the generous breakfat buffet, and then catch a bus to the attraction we wanted to see that was the farthest away from the hotel and work our way across the city on foot […] throughout the rest of the day. We loved that the hotel wasn't right in the middle of everything because it gave us an opportunity to "get lost" and wander around as we made our way from place to place. As far as the hotel itself is concerned, this was the nicest of the hotels we stayed in during our trip. The room was on the small side, but very clean with comfortable furniture and very large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was kept well stocked with various kinds of breads (rolls, loaves, etc), cold cuts and cheeses, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and of course pastries! The two men who were working were constantly on the move making sure the buffet was restocked and serving hot drinks to all the patrons. The front desk staff was also extremely helpful providing us with maps, directions, and suggestions of places to eat and things to see. Both my husband and I were very pleased with our stay. Beautiful quaint hotel. Wonderful breakfast. All of the rooms have been recently updated. Front desk staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
"Good Deal and Nice Stay"
If you're looking for a good deal, and don't mind being out of the center then this is a great place for you. To get here from the main sites typically took us a half hour, taking the subway to termini, and then one stop up to castro. from the subway, it was about a ten minute walk. the walk isn't the prettiest, definitely lots of traffic, litter, and […] some bums, but we are city kids and we're used to that. I never felt unsafe. the staff was more than helpful, and the room was super clean (a little small), but overall perfect. The bathroom was nice, and the ac helped a lot. The staff was also super helfpul to us. Lisez la suite

"Trevligt hotell"

! Lisez la suite

It was a businees trip. I book this hotel because it was near by the meeting place. The single room was small, but it was quite nice! That was all i needed. The area near by is nice with all the shopping, eating possibility

"Hotel Fiume B&H – fine for holidays in Rome"
Except from not having filled water in the small basin on the top floor terrace hotel Fiume is a great place to stay. The staff, the cleaning, assistance, everything works just fine. "Hotel Fiume - Rome"
Very nice and recently refurbished. The room was very nice and looked like what you can see on the pictures on the hotels.com site though ours was quite a bit smaller as we went for a cheaper option. Breakfast was very good with lots of different warm and cold dishes to select from. Hotel is not located directly in the city centre with all the big […] city attraction it is about a couple of kilometres walk. But if you have never been to Rome this walk is quite a nice treat in itself. The area around the hotel is very nice and quiet with lots of small trattorias where you can have a meal at a decent price. A lot of locals also seem to come to these restaurants so it not only us tourists. Also forget everything you have seen on tv about Rome and Italians, people very very polite, a lot of people speaking english and the attractions are stunning. If I should complain about something it is the prices of some downtown restaurants and cafees. 40€ for two cups of coffe and two icecreams are a bit on the hefty side. Lisez la suite
"A very good hotel"
We spend an oval weekend as tourists at the hotel, and were very pleased with the hotel standard. The hotel had a very friendly reception staff, who went out of their way to help us. We found several quite good restaurants in the neighbourhood, and shopping was also avilable. The only drawback is the distance from the historical monuments, however, […] for 5 - 6 € we got a taxi straight down to Piazza di Spagna.
