En plein centre ville, à proximité de la Picadilly Station, station de bus où convergent les bus de/vers toutes les déstinations (Manchester city, Stockport, Buxton, l'aéroport, etc.), mais aussi de la marie, et du fameux Printworks, lieu de sortie favoris des mancuniens le samedi soir, cet hotel, calme, spacieux et propre a su fusionner praticité et confort. Seul point faible, son prix un peu élevé, mais la qualité de service est là (grandes chambres, petit déjeuner de qualité, salle de sport en accès libre, etc.). De notre côté, on gardera l'adresse. Nous y sommes allés à l'occasion du marché de noël, un moment vraiment idéal pour découvrir cette ville qui y est particulièrement animée à cette période. Petite astuce : si vous cherchez l'entrée et que vous avez à demander votre chemin, trouvez la porte de chinatown, c'est juste en face ;)

Apres avoir payé l'hotel j'ai lu les commantaires des autres clients et j'ai eu très peur et au final j'ai été agréablement surprise. Certes la décoration est plutot années 70 mais la propreté est là. Notre climatisation fonctionnait. Nous avions une bouilloire du thé et du café. Nous avons eu une chambre non fumeur comme demandé et il y avait une fenetre dans notre chambre. L hotel est situé idéalement en plein centre de Manchester proche de toutes les commodités (bus, magasin,...). LEs points qui sont plutot négatif c'est le wifi dans la chambre que l'on capte mais auquel on a pu se connecter qu'une fois durant notre séjour cependant on peut s'y connecter facilement dans le hall d entrée mais toutefois le débit reste minimal. Autre point négatif c'est isolation phonique des fenetres. Pour finir l'hotel est tout à fait correct et durant notre séjour de la peinture etait en train d' etre faite dans l'hotel

Hotel is old and outdated. Desperately needs attention, rooms are grubby, smelly and small. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good value. Dining area clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful, but they are let down by the standard of the hotel. Its dated, my room was cold and smelt heavy of smoke. The food is not up to much which is probably why the cost of staying there is lower than other hotels in the area. not a bad hotel but could be alot better with abit of attention.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Poor hotel"
This hotel is in very poor condition. The room was very dirty, stains on all walls, hairs on all surfaces and rooms chairs are stained and dirty. The only meal eaten was not nice the chipped potates were soaked in fat from the fryer.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"A bit tired and dated, but comfortable"
My room smelled a bit musty and was tired looking, the curtains were too short and the wallpaper was peeling in places. The hall carpets had duct tape on them. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the room had a TV, tea making facilities and even an iron, ironing board and trouser press. It was very quiet and I got a good nights sleep. "Aghast"
I was disappointed with the interior of the hotel as it needs a completed refurbishment. My room walls have its smudges, dust and damp odour (or should it be uncleaned) The bathroom was 1980s. I could not believe when I saw the television. I did not feel the price was worth. Also the location was unrecognisable on my sat nav. But the staff was friendly. […] At times I could not see any staff at the reception. I am Deaf myself so I had to wait for someone to come and call for me. I would not stay there again. Very disappointing. "Poor 3 Star Hotel"
Cheap, dirty, old hotel. In need of modernisation and refurbishment. The whole place needs a clean! Gym and pool were ok, but again, dirty mouldy showers. Sticking Plasters found on floor of the pool. Disgusting... did not venture into sauna or steam room as would have ended up ill next week. wont be back. Would it hurt to use a vaccume cleaner to clean […] the carpet? Tin of paint in places to tidy up the scuff marks and grime on the walk ways to bedrooms? Did not stay in for a meal. Firstly I must compliment the staff who were all extremely friendly and polite. 5 stars for them. The room was a good size.The TV channels Ok but rather limited. Coffee and Tea facilities fine. "Very ropey even for a low price"
Hotel needs redecorating throughout. Room was OK at best though it did have an odd smell. Gym was quite well equipped though the equipment was fairly tired and shabby. Staff seemed to disappear into thin air. The sign on reception says to check the bar if there's no one on reception. The sign at the bar says to check reception if there's no one behind […] the bar. I booked the hotel on the understanding that they did room service, only on arrival to be told that they charge an extortionate £7.95 tray charge. I was greeted with the stale smell of urine and tobacco and the faint odour of general uncleanliness - following a room change it was still clear the hotel is in a bad state of repair with stains on the ceiling and peeling wall paper. "Swallows Preston - take a duster"
Staying in many hotel chains throughout the UK, this has to rate a very poor standard. The entire hotel needs to closed for a month and 100% refurbished. Lounge bar furniture looks like its been picked out of a skip. Very tired bedroom and th dust.....not good at all. Went for a swim in pool but soon got out as the water cloudy as hell and the sauna […] was colder than outside. The quality of food of and evening was very poor and overpriced. Breakfast was not nice. Buffet style full english was real sad offering and the quality of food....well, you know the rest. No way stay here....better hotel experiences for the money. "Tired but cheap"
This is quite a "tired" hotel that needs refurbishment. I was here with my daughter so not in search of luxury more comfort. I am not fussy (I have perhaps 80 business / 20 weekend stays per year at hotels and have never done this before) but I asked to change due to the damp smell in room 1. Dodgy stains in room 2. Talking to the very helpful cleaners […] gave me a tip - The 2nd floor rooms (3xx) are in better shape! After struggling to find the hotel due to a Tom tom problem, I was very suprised to see a free standing hotel in it's own grounds, very smartly laid out. We had to wait a few minutes at reception to be checked in, however once staff were available everything went smoothly. My son and I were out for the evening but on return spent a pleasant few hours […] in the bar area, nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was pleasant but could have had more variety, my sons only moan was the lack of 'Hash Browns'. das hotel an sich könnte locker mal wieder generalüberholung über sich ergehen lassen! was auch den wellnessbereich betrifft! das personal ist sehr nett und richtig hilfsbereit! ein GANZ GROSSES DANKESCHÖN nochmal! was mir zu schaffen gemacht hatte war der slang der gesprochen wurde und sehr schlecht zuverstehen gewesen ist! desweiteren wollt ich […] vor ort meinen aufenthalt verlängern und hätte aber aufeinmal 55pfund pro nacht bezahlen sollen, also mußte ich mir internet zugang kaufen und wieder über HOTELS.com buchen! im großen und ganzen war es wirklich toll!
