Tout d abord, le quartier est en ruine et sans aucun interet. Cet HOtel se pretend DESIGN car les douches sont vitrees , sans aucune obturation , a la vue des passants et des environs , les murs sont noirs , l eclairage et le mobilier sont minimalistes pour cacher la misere. Pas de possibilite de se faire un cafe ou un the dans la chambre, prestations […] minimalistes ! Hotel hors de prix, nous avons trouve bien mieux dans NYC. NOus avons quitte cet Hotel prematurement alors que nous avions reserve 4 nuits...MEme trouver un TAXI dans ce quartier est difficile. Nos amis New Yorkais nous ont confirme que ce quartier est a eviter et des investisseurs esperent que ca soit le nouveau quartier branche d ici quelques annees...Il faut certainement attendre au moins 10 ans . Très bien placé, très agréable, moderne et confortable. Chambre spacieuse et salle de bain très grande. Commerces et metro à - de 5 min je pense descendre dans cet hotel lors de mes futurs voyages à NYC!! +++

Très bel hôtel situé dans un quartier animé. Chambre hyper confortable, personnel attentif, ambiance classe. Attention toutefois à ne pas mettre en photo celle d'une chambre haut de gamme ne concernant pas la promotion proposée comme ce fut le cas pour notre chambre, qui reste une superbe chambre, mais sans la vue panoramique proposée par les chambres […] tout en haut de l'hôtel. A priori très bel hôtel à ses débuts, mais le temps et les fêtes répétées dans la salle du RDC qui sert de bar et de salle de petit déjeuner ... ont laissé des traces ... L'hôtel vieilli plutôt mal même si certaines chambres sont belles et ont vraiment une vue magnifique. Le site web ne reflète pas vraiment la réalité.

We hesitated a lot before booking because the hotel was much outside our budget , we really hoped it would be extraordinary for the price, and it was ! Comfortable tempurpedic bed.

Not all of the rooms have a skyline view. Even still, the hotel was very conveniently located between Little Italy and Chinatown. The doormen and reception were extremely helpful with directions and NYC advice. The restaurant had a nice hipster vibe. The only downside is there were no full length mirrors in the rooms - only the elevator. And our room […] had bad lighting in the bathroom, making make-up application difficult. We visited three other rooms in our party and each room was arranged differently with different ammenities. One had a patio, another a window in the bathroom, another with a fantastic view. We enjoyed the view and complementary refreshments from the lobby. We attended a party in the penthouse. The view of the Manhattan skyline in the penthouse was amazing. Nice trendy boutique-style hotel, in the heart of nightlife in LES. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and new-age, but at the same time slightly on the barren side. Over-all I would recommend and come back.

I am in NYC for business every month and I love this hotel. Best bathrooms! Deep tubs, steam showers, great products. And a great bed. And the new restaurant we really good too. Overall service was nice and friendly.

Hotel personnel were pleasant and helpful...especially the lady who took care of us at breakfast and the doorman who secured our cabs on Sunday. View from my room on the 16th floor was lovely...made up for the small size of the actual corner room.

We had an event at the hotel, so we chose to stay here merely out of convenience. Though the hotel is a little worse for the wear (definitely one too many nights of partying without a little sprucing up - scrapes on the walls, phone number carved into the windowsill, sticky thermostat buttons which made it difficult to operate, dirt in the crevasses […] of the light switches, etc.), we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet our room was. The bed in the room was a memory foam bed, which was a nice surprise and was really comfortable. They gave ample and cool toiletries. Overall, we'd totally stay again if we have something on the LES because it's right in the middle of that neighborhood. If I were just coming as a tourist for a general visit to Manhattan, I might recommend others in the price range that are nicer. Lisez la suite

I booked a room here for my girl's birthday and it was perfect. We loved the views of the city and the rooms were great. The staff was awesome as well. Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Would never go back again - They put us in a room o n the 3rd floor which was literally ON TOP of the nightclub and our "view" was that of other buildings and an alley - our shower had clear glass out to the back of the hotel where other buildings could view me taking a shower until they brought up a "privacy screen" for my husband to take a shower […] which was liternally a peek and stick shelf liner - AWFUL so disappointing. Everything about this hotel was fantastic!!! We stayed in a spa suite which was very spacious and comfortable - especially when compared with other New York hotels. The location is ideal, we had a great time going out to the local bars and comedy clubs. The bar downstairs was also a lot of fun. The views are breath-taking. We even had a view of the […] Empire State Building from our shower in the bathroom. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Excellent hotel. Awesome view, great service, very helpful front desk. Two blocks from the F train. Great nightlife wherever you look. In fact, the niceness of the neighborhood will spook any native New Yorkers over the age of 40. Super comfortable. Upper-floor suite is good for business and for pleasure. Downsides? Two. First, check-in is on the second […] floor: take the stairs, because there's usually a wait for the elevator. Positives: Cool, trendy hotel in the Lower East Side area of Manhattan. Rooms are nice, comfortable, clean, and generally larger than what one gets in NYC. Staff is friendly and helpful. Negatives: Although they wanted to be helpful, the staff was not knowledgeable on local restaurants or bars. Wifi connection was painfully slow.

Great location in the lower eastside. Very clean and well appointed rooms. Most comfortable beds i have ever had in a hotel.. Very friendly staff and close to everything i needed. Would definately stay here again..

We really enjoyed our one night stay. It was a quick taxi ride to the concert venue, Williamsburg Waterfront, and we had a very easy time walking to other interesting spots for evening cocktails and brunch the next morning. Although the Hotel is cool on a number of levels, the designers went too far when they had clear glass windows, facing the street and surrounding neighborhood, installed in the shower! No joke, when showering, the entire world outside has a front row seat! Why??

The hotel is very nice if you can afford the additional price - the room is large and clean, the location is great for exploring the Lower East Side and it isn't too pricey to catch a taxi to/from the airport. However I don't think we'd stay there again. 1. We booked the hotel thinking there was a rooftop bar, and hoped to see some nice city views. […] That bar is now closed and used for private functions only. There was no mention of this on any website we read. 2. We paid extra for a 'high floor' king balcony room for the view as well, and the ability to step outside, but the balcony is *tiny* and we were on the 11th floor looking over some dingy rooftops and parking areas. Not really what I'd call "high". 3. The bathrooms have no curtains or blinds and anybody in one of the very nearby rooftop carparks could see straight into the bathroom when we showered or went to the toilet. We asked for a privacy screen but what we got was laughable - it only covered one small section of the window so that it only blocked the view for one rooftop while leaving clear views for 3 other rooftop carparks. Luckily it was a weekend and the carparks weren't being used much. The hotel was very nice, and in a very good location, but given the lack of bathroom privacy, the exaggeration of the balcony & views, and the disappearance of the distinguishing feature (the rooftop bar), the hotel doesn't live up to its awards and reputation and I would definitely not return. We have stayed at probably 30-odd hotels in the last 18 months and this would have to have been the most disappointing of all. I would definitely recommend staying in the Lower East Side area though. Great staff, great service, huge room. Can't fault it.

Excellent location, close to good restaurants and the underground. Excellent restaurant. Excellent views from some of the rooms ( not mine though!) Beds extremely comfortable, large and airy. Lots of hanging space in wardrobe but sadly no drawer space and no tea/coffee making facilities. I would stay there again, thorougly enjoyed it.

The sevice was better than the Four Seasons. My wife recently had a knee replacement. We were constantly calling for more ice, more towels and more pillows. We never waited more than 5 minutes.Everyone was very pleasant.

This hotel is a great find on the Lower East Side. Inside it's both dramatic and understated so much so that the hallways are dark enough to challenge your eyes! The rooms are spectaculars, the mattresses very comfortable and the ambience spectacular. I wanted to take the bathroom home with me. Our tub wasn't like the one pictured; rather, it was low and shallow, but the whole thing was the size of my bedroom back home.

This is the second time I've stayed here; both times I had significant issues with the amenities in the room. The first time I ended up having to use a different room to take a shower because the bathroom lights didn't work. This time, a variety of the lights didn't work, I couldn't get the computer to connect, and the phone cut off. When I asked for […] help from the front desk the person was very cold and unhelpful, and in the end did nothing to follow up to be sure that my concerns were addressed. I am sorry about this because otherwise, it's a good, interesting hotel in a great neighborhood, but I cancelled another reservation I had here because of the aggravation and the non-responsiveness of the front desk. The Hotel on Rivington is stylish, sleek, comfortable, hip and a party... Actually, a bit too much of one. It is awesome to have your hotel be the hippest party on the block, unless you're not eager to stay up until 4 AM in the bar with the Bridge & Tunnel crowd. You may want to consider staying elsewhere if you want peace and quiet (or at least pay […] the extra dough to stay on an upper floor). My fiancée and I stayed in a super posh king corner room on floor 3 and we so satisfied with everything about the hotel - great room (awesome shower), great amenities, great location - except that we were tossing and turning until past 4 AM each night because of the loud party happening in the hotel lobby, then the subsequent drunks yelling for cabs as they were leaving. Not so cool. All that said, we'd still totally stay there again. We may just splurge for a room on a higher floor (which has a considerable extra cost)... Very cool hotel in a new hip, but seedy Bowery neighborhood. The rooms are excellent, the hot tubs fantastic and the bed to dream for. We had a great stay.

Cool hotel. Very modern, best bathroom ever. Close to the subway so can get to everything easily. Rooms are basic but beds are very comfy. No tea/coffee making facilities but there's really no need in NY. Would stay again

The steamroom bathrooms cannot be beat. Really a great experience in the morning or at the end of the day for cleansing. Very comfortable tempur-pedic beds as well. Staff all very friendly. Hotel is in a very interesting location, clearly a transitional neighborhood with lots of interesting shops, restaurants, and things to take in when walking around. The hotel is pretty cool, hip. This hotel has fairly large rooms considering it is in NYC (most rooms are normally small, elsewhere). I was traveling on business and really appreciated the complimentary WiFi. The hotel will good value for the money I spent.

When we arrived in the middle of the night we were worried we were in a bad area but it was great! The area is the Shoreditch of Manhattan with some lovely boutiques and restaurants including Katz (When Harry met Sally) and Beauty & Essex - a must go! The hotel was brilliant, amazing views and really comfy beds, the bar is open until 4am and is one […] of the area hot spots so expect it to be busy. If you book one of the more expensive rooms just be warned that they are not all as shown on the websites and in our case we were better off with the High Floor Corner King which was excellent. As I have been traveling and staying in hotels more and more, I have become more critical of the results I am getting with what I am spending. With that being said, here is my review of my evening, December 12, 2010. I had booked this hotel for my girlfriends birthday. We were going to be in Queens on Friday night for a wedding and decided to stay […] in Manhattan for dinner with her friends for her special day. We left Queens at 12:00 noon due to their check out time. We arrived at Hotel on Rivington at 12:30. The hotel was not difficult to locate from the Williamsburg Bridge, but was hiding when we actually turned down the street. The hotel entrance is actually the dual entrance to their Lower Level club/restaurant, Thor. The valet/doorman/bag man handed me my ticket and took my bags up the elevator to the 2nd floor (Where the lobby is located). Now, we were early for check-in (being that Check-In is guaranteed for 4:00), so I went to check in. I have never in all my travels ever had difficulty checking in early for any type of hotel. I was told "my room was not ready and that Check-In was Guaranteed for 4:00PM." I asked if they could estimate when it would be ready and was told they didn't know, but would call if it became available. Now, I didn't have my car, since it was valeted, and i also was given no ideas on what to do with my girlfriend (who was very hung over from the wedding) until they were able to take care of my room. Here is the kicker, I reserved a specialty upgraded room (lets just say the best they offer, but not the penthouse) and they still treated us like we were spending the same as everone else. We finally asked them at 4:00 if the room was ready (we had sat in the lobby for 2 of the 4 hours) and they finally decided to call up and find out when it would be ready. Someone replied they were just finishing up. I was informed they were performing some maintanence and it would be ready in 5-10 min. finally at 4:30 we got our room keys and went t Lisez la suite
