Great place. Great location

The Tides is a small motel less than a block from the beach. It is very clean, with all white linens (no gross bedspeads) and tile flooring (so the sand doesn't stay in the carpet). Though it is old and small, it has been updated with a modern look in the rooms. Our room had a fridge and microwave along with some books on a book shelf which are nice […] for a relaxing day on the beach. The managers were so friendly. They brought us extra towels, ice and gave us a recommendation for some stores to visit downtown, they really personalized our experience. The parking was a little cramped but everything is cramped in the beach cities. We had a lovely time in Laguna Beach and when we return we will stay at the Tides again. Lisez la suite

Great little hotel. Retro motel meets bed and breakfast. really enjoyed our stay.

First stay at the Tides after being in another local, more expensive chain hotel in Laguna. Very surprised. The room was great, clean, really nicely decorated(the quotes in the rooms are a really nice touch.). The bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in. Surprisingly little noise from the road despite its close proximity. The pool area […] was lovely, wish we could have used it more. Will definately come back to stay. Hotel was friendly, neat and clean, but our room did not have a window! That was really creepy. Good thing there was no fire!

My overnight stay felt like a vacation! clean, comfortable bed, soft towels!!! saltwater pool, outdoor fireplace!! just amazing place to stay! cudos to management, joe! thanks!

Great staff, attentive to your needs. Free parking on site. Clean, the tile floors a plus, when you're at the beach, easier to keep clean. Right on the PCH and you can hear the traffic. The hotel is older and in need of updating yet has it's own old school charm. If you are on a budget this hotel is a good option.

It's not a fancy hotel BUT The Tides is in a great location and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Upon our arrival, the host gave us a list of restaurant recommendations. We tried three of them and they were all winners! He also recommended the park across the street that goes along the ocean and makes […] for a gorgeous walk into town. All in all, our stay in Laguna and the Tides was wonderful. Lisez la suite

Couldn't have been more pleased during our stay at the Tides Inn. It was ideally situated close to downtown Laguna and Heisler Park. The managers, Joe and Judy were wonderful and went above and beyond to assist us. Would gladly recommend to anyone seeking a reasonable place to stay in Laguna.

I stayed just one night but it was all I needed. Great customer service, friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. It's walking distance to my favorite restaurant at the Cliffs at Laguna beach. I had a very nice stay and will stay again when I am in the area again.

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel with a great heated salt water pool. Check in was flawless and it is conveniently located in Laguna Beach. Recommend top floor room. Nice owner, Joe, was very friendly and welcoming.

This hotel is all about location in Laguna Beach. The rooms were nicely appointed as they had been remodeled recently. They were a bit small but clean. The only drawback was the noise from the street and the PCH - but the location makes up for it, as it is very easy to walk to all of the nearby restaurants and bars.

The Tides Laguna Beach has a nice location close to the beaches, galleries, and the city center. We enjoyed our stay there. It was very nice of the guy by the check in desk to offer us a choice of three rooms to pick the one we liked the most. We selected the quietest one. We also got a good advice on where to eat and what exhibits to see. Instead of […] walking to the closest beach, we drove to the beach by Montage Resort which is only few miles away. We were offered to use beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas from the hotel for free. We'll defenetely come back! Lisez la suite

The Tides is a great little motel in an ideal location. The ocean park across the street is breathtaking! The Tides is just a short walk to Main Beach and the town of Laguna Beach. The motel is cute and has a bed and breakfast feel, however, our room was rather small, especially the shower, with shabby carpeting. I would stay here again, but definitely, […] not in room 210. We enjoyed our stay at The Tides. The full kitchen and dining area made it like a home. We were right on the street and were concerned, at first, that the traffic noise would be awful. As it happened, we were not bothered by it all all. It is nice that the front desk has BIG beach towels and boogie boards for the use of guests. My only complaint […] is that the smoke alarm was extremely sensitive. When I used the oven, even though nothing was burning and there was no visible smoke, the detector was activated and squealed for a while. Also, a rollaway would have been nice. Instead my son had to sleep on a foam mattress on the floor. Still, it was a comfortable stay in a quaint, homey environment in a good location. Lisez la suite

Very nice room. Kitchenette had no stove with regular burners, only a microwave oven. Otherwise it is like a full kitchen. Bathroom sink emptied a bit slow. This is an updated older small hotel, but I would still recommend it.

A nice room in a perfect location in Laguna Beach. The pool area is really cute.
