"Solid Hampton, probably overpriced for area"
Overall this was a solid Hampton that appears to be fairly new. Once in the area, the price appears to be very high compared to the other chains in Gallup. Warning if you have a large vehicle or trailer, the parking lot is small and can be difficult to move around within. We were strictly an overnight stop before heading on down I-40. Because of the […] price, if I were to come back by, I might consider some of the other options in the community. Otherwise, this was a good, clean place to stop. I would be concerned in peak travel, as sounds did seem to carry from other parts of the facility into the room. As were were there when things were definitely not full, it was not a problem for us. "Excellent for the most p art"
A nice clean hotel that still had that new construction smell. The we only two tiny points to keep it from perfect, and one of those was personal choice. Believe it or not, I found the pillows a little too fluffy. And the'pool had an off-putting film on the surface of the water. The breakfast was flawless and tasty. THE STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONAL. WE ARRIVED LATE AFTER A LONG DRIVE AND EVERYTHING WAS READY TO GO. EVERYONE FROM THE FRONT DESK TO THE LADIES SERVING BREAKFAST WERE VERY FRIENDLY,HELPFUL AND POLITE.THE POOL AND HOT TUB WORKED AND WERE CLEAN. TOWLS WERE AVAILABLE. Whenever I pass through Gallup, I stay at this Hampton Inn location. Clean, convenient and friendly my check in was quick, the hotel is clean as expected from Hampton inn and the bed was comfortable. "Great hotel, near the interstate and town"
We stayed for 2 nights in a comfortable family room. The pool could have been cleaner, but the rest of the facilities made up for it. Great to have laundry facilities and the breakfast was very good, with freshly made waffles and variety of foods. This hotel is conveniently located near the interstate. The cheapest gas is just down the street to the west at the Indian store. The store had great prices on food, beverages, fireworks, and gasoline. The hotel is far from downtown and other restaurants. We chose a local bar on the hotel recommendation list that was downtown, but the food was not great […] and it was very overpriced. The beds at the hotel were so comfortable and the hotel is exceptionally insulated. We heard no trains or highway traffic and the hall noise was minimal. My alarm in my car went off and when I came down to my car the staff was out looking around trying to find out what caused the alarm to go off. Booked at the Hampton Inn in Gallup, NM as the halfway point between my driving destinations. Not knowing the area, I booked based on reviews... so I thought it appropriate to give one! The hotel itself was much nicer than I expected and the front desk staff was fabulous. Got into my room after 13 hours on the road and was pleasantly surprised at the […] quality - nice pillows, fluffy bed, clean. Then the refrigerator started making some incredibly loud noise followed closely by the air conditioning unit. Despite turning it off, it ran through the night about every 15 minutes. In all fairness, I'm not a heavy sleeper, but I've never had trouble sleeping in a hotel and even my daughter said it woke her up. At 6:30am, people started moving around in the hallways and the noise came straight through the door as if they were in the room with us. There was no sleeping after that. That conclusion is based upon 3 or 4 stays here over a few years plus one equally successful stay on the part of our adult son. Both the Front Desk and Breakfast Room staff are very friendly, helpful, efficient and welcoming. This hotel is kept in fine condition and is spotless throughout. The rate includes a adequate, tasty breakfast in very well-maintained, […] spacious, pleasant-enough surroundings with comfortable seating. This last time around, an elderly gent using a walker appeared for breakfast. The Navajo lady in charge immediately took it upon herself to ensure he was served in a warm, respectful and welcoming manner and so he did not have to try to navigate the buffet and serve himself. Rooms are very large, offer most every amenity but most importantly inclusively-priced high-speed internet, King-sized beds, good quality linen, etc. Spacious bathrooms feature shower-tub combos, decent-quality soaps, shampoos, etc. The parking lot is large, very well lit and safe.
