Shilo Inn Rose Garden at the Portland Convention Center - Portland

Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel de Portland. Vraiment une bonne affaire. Points forts : Les chambres sont très confortables et bien isolées. De plus, nous avons bénéficié d'un accès au jacuzzi, à la piscine et à l'internet gratuit dans l'hôtel d'en face avec lequel ils ont un accord. Et l'accès à la ville est rapide : en 5 min par tram gratuit […] situé à 400m de l'hôtel. Points faibles : le personnel est très gentil et très serviable sauf un incident un matin : il n'y avait plus de pain au petit déjeuner et il a fallu plusieurs rappels avant que la personne responsable se décide à aller en chercher... 1h d'attente... Idéal lors des conférences qui se tiennent au Convention Center. Toutes les lignes de tramway se croisent à cinq minutes de l'hôtel ce qui permet de visiter très facilement le centre-ville et ses environs. L'hôtel est très calme et possède tout le confort nécessaire. Je n'hésiterai pas à le conseiller ou à y revenir moi-même.

Smaller hotel, but clean and well-priced. Location is very good for attending Rose Garden, Wonder Ballroom, Lloyd Center, and surrounding shops and restaurants. Morning breakfasts are in a pretty small room that gets crowded easily.....not a great selection of breakfast items, but enough to get you to lunch.

No complaints, nothing unexpected. It was clean, nice staff, and in a pretty good location. I'd stay there again when it's discounted.

Not the best Shilo I've stayed in but no frills, close to PDX city center, and a fair rate. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, although "free" breakfast is limited compared to other Shilo Inns.

Overall the hotel is ok but the bathroom is very small. There was no hot water in the morning and the warm water was in limited supply. That was disappointing.

No complaints!

The location of the motel is very convenient--close to public transportation and things of interest.

Hotel had all the facilities we needed, including breakfast, WiFi and a laundry. Only about 10 minutes walk to the free light rail into downtown, or you can catch a bus just outside hotel. Good location- 5 minutes walking distance to Convention Ctr, bit more to Lloyd Ctr for shopping. Front desk staff working days on Jan 15-16 was awesome. Breakfast ending at 9am I think is a bit early in my opinion, but he graciously opened the door so I could grab some milk & yogurt. I've stayed here a few times. Good hotel for the price. It's close to the Rose Garden, so it's great to stay there when there's a game and you don't want to travel home the same night. The rest of the neighborhood is a noisy car-trafficky neighborhood, so I wouldn't stay there unless it was convenient to what I was doing. The day we checked it it was New Years afternoon and there was one woman working the front desk all alone. She explained she was usually the night aduitor and ..and was trying VERY hard to keep up the the large crowd of people waiting to check in. SHE was very nice, friendly and but was clearly overwhelmed. Shilo needs to have more help on a busy night […] like this!! I think the woman needs a bonus for what she endured. On New Years day we got to the Free continental breakfas at 10 minutes after 9am.the door was locked and no breakfast for us. My freind asked the day manager if it was over..he was rude to him in return and said something like. "well it closes at 9, it's over!" I mean it was NEW YEARS DAY..for crying out loud! You think they could have stayed open later for that day considering many people may sleep in later than usual. Mostly it was his rudeness that disturbed us the most!! The front service was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and modern. I stayed in a room with a single king bed and the room was a little small but was still comfortable. The only downside to this room is that the bathroom is too small. The door opens up into the bathroom and you can barely squeeze by. The rooms also have thin walls and if […] you want to sleep in you are going to have trouble because you will be able to here the housekeepers vacuuming and cleaning. Great location if you are attending event at Rose Garden. Just leave your car at hotel and walk.

Easy to Find, staff very accomodating. Rooms are small and Bathroom is quite small but location is good. Great Value though for price paid, would return again.

We wanted a room in this part of Portland while we were attending an event. This hotel room was very adequate- clean and comfortable. Will stay again. It was half of the cost of the high-rise hotel across the street where we have also stayed. For a comphy weekend romantic escape- go for the high rise. Three of us were going to a convention at the Doubletree, eight blocks away, and the Shilo Inn Rose Garden was handy to that. We had a rollaway in our double-queen room, which made it a bit cramped, but worked. Downside: tiny, cramped bathroom, hard to open the door once you were inside. This hotel was walking distance to the colisium and free train station to downtown shopping also.

I have to say I was very impressed by this little inn for the price. It was very cute and very cozy. The room was a lot bigger than I thought it would be and included a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave! After reading many of the online reviews I was not expecting great things...but the price was right. I was very surprised to find everything in excellent condition. Yes, the bathroom is small,but no smaller than many other motels I have stayed in. Everything was very clean, The TV worked, clean fridge and microwave. I chose not to have my sheets and […] towels changed - a waste of resources and not something I do at home on a daily basis. The continental breakfast included a multitude of cereals, bagels, bread, yogurt, creme cheese, jams, apples........ My ONLY complaint is that there is no in-room recycling. Location was convenient, with a short walk to the "Free Zone" for MAX to downtown. Super-friendly, helpful, and knowledgable front desk staff. "Breakfast" was disappointing. Partially full boxes of cereal, partial loaves of bread for toasting, a few yogurts, and a few mini-donuts. 2 blocks from free city rail service and next to convention center if you have an activity planned there. Rooms are large but the bathroom is small and slightly outdated. Staff is very friendly. Continental Breakfast is adequate. Free parking which is hard to find in Portland anywhere.

This was a nice clean hotel, great value, convenient location and great staff. I like that it is close to Trimet. The staff allowed me to check in before noon on my arrival day. I will definitely stay there again.

Close to the MAX station; close to McMenamins (awesome food); close to Rose Garden. This hotel has the basic amenities expected, but our A/C did stink. There are 2 floors and no elevator. The breakfast was decent---yogurt, cereal, bages...no fresh fruit or eggs. The coffee makers in the room only do 1 cup at a time, sortof inconvenient.

More than adequate for our needs. Comfortable Room, microwave, small fridge. 7-11 is right across the street. Would definetely stay there again!!!!

the only thing that bothered us was that the bathrooms were very small and you almost had to go outside to change your mind. There was also mold in the shower which was a bother to both me and my wife

I left a family heirloom ring in the room when I checked out. I had a day of meetings and late night and didn't notice until the next morning. (it is a band that I have to remove each night). I called immediately and they had my ring safely put away and waiting for me to call. I appreciate great, honest staff!!

Basic, clean, affordable, quiet, and convenient base to explore the city.

Great customer Service! Within walking distance of the Rose Garden where our concert was. 7-11 around the corner, restaurants close by. Room smelled musty. Realized it was the air conditioner when we turned it on. Opened window to get fresh air.

They had no local maps...continental breakfast was out of juice and very limited selections...noisy all night with firestation down the street

Conveniently located Hotel with helpful staff

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location for our night at the theater. Breakfast was a half a step up from continental and I was surprised that there wasn't an alarm clock, so if I return I'd bring my own.

The staff is friendly and attentive when a mattter is brought to their attention. The biggest issue is that when we checked in the conforter on one of our beds was covered with either human or animal hair/ first impresions matter. When the matter was brought to the staff's attention they gave us another room. Also the sheets are not changed on a daily […] basis unless a specific request is made which is also unacceptable. We stayed there for 2 days. Other than yogurt and dry cereals, they ran out of bread and other breakfast items. They claimed that the supplier did not show up (on both days). It can't be that difficult to buy a few loafs of bread and muffins from the near by grocery stores. The internet and cable services were interrupted frequently.

Clean and updated hotel. Great place to stay while visiting, just off the MAX light rail system. Bed bug free!! :)

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The hotel staff have been very friendly and helpful.
