"Hotel IBIS London City"

"Bonne situation Hotel IBIS"
"Standard IBIS"
If you have ever been to a IBIS hotel, you've been to this one. Nice and clean rooms, hard beds and expensive tv/internet. For my stay here, the location could not have been better. For the occasional trip to the city center, the underground was just around the corner.
"A little bit running-down..."
We stay only for a night before transferring to Hilton... Average room with plexiglass bathroom inset in a corner of the bedroom... Too expensive for the low quality of furniture... Nearby area seems a little dangerous by night...
"Good hotel, reasonably priced for London"
Stayed here the night before the London Marathon. Good amenities and close to local restaurants in spitalfield market. Also near to tube and 10 minute walk to DLR. Simple yet clean and tidy hotel room.

The hotel facilities were lovely but the service from hotel staff was rude. On two occasions (service in the hotel restaurant and when my room card de-magnetized) the staff we dealt at first refused to meet our reasonable requests then did so grudgingly and complaining. In the instance of my hotel card de-magnetizing, the front desk person laughed at […] me then scolded me for de-magnetizing the card. The bad attitude of the hotel staff totally spoiled our visit. "Clean Comfortable Stay"
For a budget hotel it was all very well maintained, clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Nice clean spacious shower. Higher floors have a nice view of the city to the west. The location is ideal for its proximity to the city and just a short walk from Whitechapel tube station or Liverpool Street station. Also close to Brick lane for the markets […] and Petticoat lane too. Lisez la suite
"Nice Clean and Comfortable"
As the title suggests, this is a nice clean and comfortable hotel, well located and close to all amenities. this is the second time I have stayed here on business and both times very pleased. I would happily recommend this hotel to business and pleasure travellers alike.

"Great location for Markets & East End London"
Perfect location for Spittlefields & Petticoat Lane Markets, easy to get into centre of london also. Hotel was comfortable, service good and room basic but clean. Cleanliness is always the highest priority on my list and the room was very clean.
"Motorcycle Friendly!"
The hotel is situated next to Tower Bridge next to Aldgate tube station. I didn't use the underground because I had a motorcycle and there's a big free bay close to the hotel. It took me 7 minutes to ride to The Strand and 12 minutes to Oxford street. The surrounding area is OK but I wouldn't go out to the bars around because it's not my style anyway. […] The room was hospital clean. The cleaning service was flexible with when they would do the room (as I was with my girlfriend and we went out late). We didn't have breakfast or dinner there but the restaurant looked decent, and a pizza we ordered from the snack bar was fine. The rooms are quite modern, not like a marble arch B&B in down town. I would REALLY REALLY REALLY recommend this hotel. Lisez la suite
"Ibis London City - Unhelpful, inflexible, noisy"
Noisy room, construction work going on all around the hotel. Very unhelpful to the point where I will never stay at this hotel or another Ibis hotel again.

Great location for Stansted express and right beside Aldgate Tube station so eay to get to any attraction. Staff were excellent and the Hotel was very clean. Good bar as well. Would recommend.

"Fantastic location and extremely friendly staff"
We stayed at Ibis for two nights and were very impressed with the service we got : the staff are very friendly, they offered to look after our baggage until we could check in at 12 o'clock and did the same after we checked out (we had to leave late at night for morning flights at Stansted). The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom and shower facilities […] was also very clean and we felt very comfortable. The hotel is just around the corner from Aldgate and East Aldgate station and only ten minutes walk to Tower Bridge - we thought the hotel had the perfect location for us and really enjoyed our stay. "hotel bedding"
WE were very pleased with our stay - great bar and restaurant and very convenient location. Only critisism was that the bedding smelt musty.
"London ibis"
We had a very nice stay at London Ibis hotel. Close to the tower bridge, st pauls and the underground. Most of the staff were helpful and nice. However, when we returned our football tickets in the reception for the seller to pick up, one seriously slow-minded member of staff opened the envelope and thought the tickets were keycards! She then misplaced […] these so we received a call from the seller wondering if we kept them. Lisez la suite
"minimalist"
This hotel is designed for the low budget traveler and has no pretenses about it. Rooms are small and the furnishings look like Ikea remnants. If your objective is to keep lodging costs as low as possible (very hard to do in London) but not risk ending up in a fleabag, then this is a good place for you. Proximity to the Underground allows for more reasonable […] costs for getting in from Heathrow. Lisez la suite
"Overpriced - Stay Somewhere Else"
First and last IBIS experience. Place felt like a classy by-the-hour motel where you didn't want to look or get under the sheets. Totally overpriced compared to other options. Relatively close to Liverpool Train Station which is why I stayed there but won't happen again.
"ibis hotel aldgate east"
clean comfortable &helpful staff at a reasonable cost for london. handy for weekend markets at brick lane & petticoat lane, both worth a visit. worth a visit .I will be back for sure. mike brown
"Near the TUBE"
Beds too narrow and no fridge in the room
"Nice hotel in the city"
An overall assessment of this hotel to be fair is that we found it to be a decent hotel for the area it resides. The bathroom is a semi circular IKEA type unit set un in a corner of the room and we did have a roach on the mirror. This was not a reflection of the rooms cleanliness. The room was well kept and the pest seemed to be a random occurance. […] The manager was shocked and even came up to to room to insure we didn't have any additional pest problems. The restuarant was opened for Christmas Day and the staff was in great spirits. We had some issue finding the car park but once located it was within a couple of blocks. My overall assessment is that after staying in downtown locations of many hotels this is a nice, clean and well staffed facility with a wonderful French Restuarant on the premises. Lisez la suite

"Hard beds and elusive staff"
I will never revisit this hotel. The bed in our room was incredibly hard and near impossible to sleep in. I got a better nights sleep sleeping on the Stansted airport floor! The hotel staff were hard to get a hold of in the reception area. I often caught them doing nothing but watching TV in the break room behind the counter. Not noticing the customers […] outside. We also asked for an extra set of towels one evening and discovered that these were dirty. Not worth the money unless you like the location. Lisez la suite
"The Ibis, London City"
Our room was clean and comfortable with a good sized shower. The staff were dressed smartly and were very polite both in reception and in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble . However, after an exhausting day sightseeing and going to see Lion King, we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant which turned out to be a mistake. We had our 9 year […] old grand daughter with us and as her first choice was not available she was offered chicken wings. When they arrived there was blood on her plate as one of the wings werent cooked through. My steak arrived with a charred remains of a mushroom and some dry rocket leaves and chips. My mushroom was replaced and the meal of chips and chicken wings for my grand daughter was replaced, although the second batch of wings were so well cooked there was very little meat on them. The gammon my husband ordered was not the best and his chips werent hot. We did complain to the manager who deducted the price of mine and my husband's meal. Lisez la suite

"Great, but skip the restauraunt."
Very convenient and comfortable. Quite quiet for central London. The beds are a little firm, but large and comfortable. The only disappointment was the food, which is very average. But there are some great restaurants nearby, brick lane is just around the corner... Good value.
"Ibis London City"
We spent 5 days in London to watch tennis at the O2 Arena. We choose the Ibis London City Hotel for his location. We had a plesant stay transportation service id definitely a plus. Friendly staff and confortable bed. Next time in London we would come back at the same place.
"Convenient and courteous, but not comfortable."
The staff was perfectly helpful and polite, and the hotel was clean and well organized. However the accomodations were spartan. I stayed for one night, in a room that appeared to be furnished through Ikea. A slow drain in the shower meant that if I let it run for more than a minute, it would have flooded the bathroom because there was no real lip to […] prevent it. The bathroom, and room itself reminded me of a sleeper car on a train, in that everything was a plastic, "space-saver design". The size of the room impressed me as not needing all of these "space-saver" accomodations. I had also informed the staff of my intent to late check-out at 12:30, (One-half hour late) When I returned at 12:30 I found that my keycard had been disabled, and I had to return to the desk to get a new one. My end impression was that the hotel had tried to save money instead of making it a place I wanted to stay again. Mission accomplished Lisez la suite
"Ibis in Aldgate - good location and ok standard!"
Not a bad hotel...good location for hitting the river and good transport links with bus stop right outside the hotel and two underground stations within a couple of minutes walk. The room rate doesn't include breakfast and it was rather disappointing that the kettle in the room was not working either. After a little word with the duty manager, they […] managed stretch to a complimentary pot of tea. This is a standard hotel with standard service...it was averagely ok for an overnight visit. "Ibis London City"
Friendly personell in the reception. Check in/out was fast and efficient. The rooms were well cleaned. Just a few minutes walk to Liverpool Street Station and Aldgate East Station, literally, around the corner. However, the beds are kind of hard. I prefer hard beds, but for someone who like their beds really soft, I would recommend another hotel.

"Hard to find"
I wandered around the block for an hour before I found the hotel. And I had a map printed from Google, and my GPS in the phone.
