Tamarack a Festiva Resort - Wisconsin Dells

When we arrived the units that had been confirmed the day before were changed. One of the units that had been confirmed was now being renovated and unavailable. We were given a unit located in a different area, it did not have the same accomodations ( we needed twin size beds). Our room was great, beautiful decor,clean, quiet and comfortable...would recommend this resort!

My family and I stayed for 3 days. We we amazed by the resort and rated almost everything a 5 except for comfort of condo. We only gave that a 4 d/t the fact that the bed in the room was very uncomfortable. The sleeper sofa was way more comfortable than the bed. Other than that we were very satisfied. Was GLAD that We brought our own bar-hand & shower soap. What was left for us "Brand New In The Wrapper" was brittle & broke apart when opened. Tha fire place had a grill across the top that would fall off when the patio door was closed & I'm glad that it wasn't Winter since we would have to go "Exchange" towels to get any additional...The unit it self […] was quite nice & well equipped. CHECK IN TOOK A LONG TIME, THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER WAS REALLY USELESS, THEY COULD NOT FIND RESERVATION, CHECK IN TOOK 15 MINUTES. FRIENDLY STAFF VERY NICE ACCOMODATIONS.

it was like being at home I could not believe it just great all the way around. The room was just awesome awesome but I just love this place I'm looking forward to be there again with you all thanks you for your hospitality

The resort was fine, once we got there. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT IF YOU WILL BE ARRIVING IN THE DARK. The map from Hotels.com is wrong. The GPS directions are wrong. The resort knows this (I spoke to someone there who told me so) and judging from the ratings, Hotels.com knows this. I can appreciate that neither of these entities can control Yahoo.com, […] but couldn't they work together to give us accurate information? But why bother - most of the money at Tamarack is made by selling time shares; the left-over properties that we rent must be peanuts to them. I was very disappointed that we spent the first night of our weekend driving in the dark. The listed address from Hotels.com isn't even of the registration building, it's of the time shares. When we finally did find the time share properties and spent 15 minutes driving among them, we were lucky to have flagged someone down who told us that the registration building was at a different driveway (and different address). The current "life situation" has me working at a new job in Minneapolis, while my spouse remains in Chicago until our house is sold. The Dells is just about mid-point for us. I can honestly say that the Tamarack exceeded our expectations. Our unit had been recently renovated and it was in excellent condition. The kitchen was nicely appointed with cookware. […] We noticed as we drove around the property, that the staff hadn't stuffed everyone into one or two units - the guests all seemed to be distributed around the property. Our building had 4 condo units and we were the only people int he building all weekend. It would have been much easier for them to put people much closer together for cleaning purposes, but instead, you really felt like you had your privacy. The grounds were in very good shape and with fresh snow, it was nice to look out the patio door at woods rather than another unit. Last time we stayed at the Dells, our 1 night at a different resort cost nearly as much as the 2 nights at Tamarack, and the first place was NOWHERE near as nice, or in as good of condition as Tamarack. We will definitely stay at Tamarack again, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for condo-type lodging. Lisez la suite

Clean - everything you need in the condo - lots of outdoor space - would highly recommend. We didn't use any other amenities, just stayed overnight to go skiing the next day. But we really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed the flat screen TV's and firplaces. The Bed was very comfortable.

Stayed during Christmas break to do some skiing. Place is a little run down but in OK shape. Service was adaqute and staff was professional. Only draw back was the clocks in the room where not set correclty so when I got the call to hurry and get out of the room I felt rushed and left items behind and when I got home to call they dismissed it. I am familiar with the Tamarack as I am an owner there. After trying for 2+ months to use some of my own points and time thru festiva and Interval International I gave up and bought my weekend thru you. I did feel the price was very good compared to other hotel rooms and was happy to be able to reserve two 2 bedroom suites for my entire family to spend […] Christmas weekend there! It was somewhat disconcerting when I arrived and they had assigned me into 2 one bedroom only suites. They said they were full and that is all they had even though I had paid for more. Luckily I was able to show them my printed confirmation from you and after some time they were able to magically produce 2 two bedroom suites! AMAZING! My husband and I stayed at the Tamarack for our 25th Anniversary getaway. The place is amazing although a little hard to find. Our GPS took us the wrong way on Xanadu Rd. It was a perfect one bedroom condo in a subdivision-like setting. It was very clean and quiet. I can't wait to go back!

This is a nice property outside the main tourist area. There is a small lake where our kids enjoyed feeding ducks and paddle boating. We also liked the outdoor pool which was warm and not crowded. (It helped that we had great weather all week.) The condos were probably built in the 70's or 80's and haven't been updated, but are generally clean and […] comfortable, well equipped for cooking. The bed described as a queen is really a full (or double?) size, and the sleeper sofa is not comfortable for more than a night or two. The only service problem we had was that we wanted to stay one additional night and could not do so at the same rate -- we probably should have contacted customer service at Hotels.com but didn't think of it. Liked everything about hotel

The rooms were very comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom. There were several spiders in the tub and the bathroom had a strong mildew smell. The towels were a dingy white color. With the dirty looking towels and smelly bathroom it gave you the feeling it wasn't clean. Over all our stay was good.

Perfect place to stay in the Dells. We were an exit away from the downtown. It was nice being away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown. There are tons of activities on the resort (feeding the ducks, paddle boats, bike riding, game room, swimming). Our only complaint was the indoor swimming pool. Ive been coming to the dell for over20 years and Ive stayed at many places on my visits but none as comfortable as the Tamarack, it has been elected our new home in the dells !!

Beautiful rooms with plenty of space. Very nice and comfortable. I felt at home. Kitchen had everything i needed to cook. I loved the decor. Service at front desk to check in was a little slow but they were great, friendly. They had indoor amenities like basketball, Tennis, swimming pool, racket ball, kids room, game room. Friendly staff, well-kept grounds, stocked kitchen, easily accessible to attractions, very roomy suite. Only negative was the sleeper couch was very uncomfortable.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel/condo. Our 1-bedroom room was very clean and was a nice size. The beautiful pond was in our backyard. The location was a little hard to find. I didnt like that the pool/hot tub was a drive away. If it were warmer out, we could have walked to the main building. I wish the hot tub was bigger. We had to wait about […] 20 minutes because 8 people were using it, which is the maximum capacity. The drain in our tub was a little clogged-so it took a while for the water to drain. Overall, this hotel is very nice and offers many activities. Its only a short drive away from the main streets in town. I would stay again! Lisez la suite

This is my second stay with Tamarack, and I thoroughly enjoyed it again. Very clean, spacious, and quite place. I will come back again.

The room was comfortable and came with everything promised. The pool and work out room were okay. The outside of our unit needed some minor repairs. My biggest complaint was that the grass was up to my ankles and it was liking walking in a forest to get to the pool.

This resort was more than we expected. The activities were available to us even though we were not resort members. We weren't even asked to attend a resort info meeting. Conveniently located outside of the city and next to a Wal-mart. It was a quiet community. The kitchen was well stocked with clean supplies including dishwasher liquid. Wow! So Pleased! My family stayed at the Tamarack over President's Day weekend. It was very pleasant and we had a great time as we stayed close to our unit due to the weather. We arrived to a spotless unit that the online description does very little justice... The kitchenette was organized well and the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The pool […] and main facility were exceptional. I can imagine a summer trip to the resort already as the cold was the only drawback to our visit. The resort is close to the highway and right down from Wal-Mart, McDonalds and a few other stores. The drive into the Dells is short as well. Lisez la suite

Even though we requested a no smoking unit, the first townhouse we were assigned to had a very strong odor of stale smoke. The maintenance guy came with a can of air freshener, which we really didn't feel was an acceptable fix. Then they tried an ionizer - had to be out of the unit for several hours while it was running - came back but didn't notice […] any change. Then we were moved to another townhouse that had a stale, musty odor but at least it wasn't "smokey". Could just be that this was the "off" season but I get the impression that these units aren't used a lot and stay closed up for extended periods of time. We ended up staying in the second townhouse and buying a few candles. For the most part it was clean but very dated. Lisez la suite

We stayed two different times at Tamarack. Both times we were very satisfied. Our first stay we had a one bedroom unit (actually more of a town house) our second stay was a two bedroom unit. Units were very clean and modern. Each had a full kitchen w/pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc...everything you need. Cozy family area with t.v. and dvd player, […] fireplace was nice too! My only complaint was the check in and out times, although I see some other hotels going the same route. Check in was at 4pm (although our unit was ready when we got there around 3:15.) Check out at 10am (which I think is too early). We asked for a late check out and were told we could have one at the rate of $35 per hour. No thanks! Other than that it was a nice relaxing stay. No kiddie water slides here but there is an indoor and outdoor pool along with game room, weight room and other amenities. Close to the Dells attraction area yet it's tucked away in a kind of secluded wooded area. I would recommend Tamarack to others because for the price we paid and what we got it was well worth it. Stayed in a two bedroom townhouse with my family, six of us in all and we had plenty of room and did not feel like we were on top of each other. It was really nice having a full kitchen for breakfast and dinner and the amenities on the resort were really nice to use as well. If you want to be in the Wisconsin Dells, but want a bit of peace and quiet, the Tamarack is great. The units are all stocked with what you need including a full kitchen. It has a recreation center, indoor and outdoor pools, and activities on site for the kids. It is just around the corner from Walmart and McDonalds for any last minute needs. I really loved the townhouse we stayed in. It provided plenty of space for myself and 4 children; it was very comfortable; the area was quiet, and we were provided with all we needed for our stay. The only disadvantage is no Wi-fi access.
