Lynam's Hotel - Dublin

Avons séjourné une nuit en semaine début octobre. Bien situé sur O'Connell Street. Pratique, le bus de l'aéroport (AIRLINK) passe devant. Tout près de rues piétonnes et proche de Temple Bar. Chambres simples mais propres, cependant, auraient besoin d'un petit coup de peinture sur les murs. Chambres à l'arrière de l'Hotel très calmes, sinon peut-être […] bruyant si donne sur O'Connell Street ? Petit déjeuner en plus mais à des prix très raisonnables. En conclusion, hôtel simple mais nous avons des goûts simples, très bon rapport qualité/prix. Sommes satisfaits et nous n'hésiterons pas à y séjourner de nouveau lors d'une prochaine escapade à Dublin et à le recommander à nos amis. Lisez la suite

je le recommanderais seulement pour sa situation dans Dublin. Le plafond de notre salle de bain était moisi et la propreté de la douche laissait plus qu'à désirer, pas de ventilation, la fenêtre de la chambre ne fermait pas, la moitié des ampoules des lumières étaient grillées...

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Le personnel est très serviable. Un hôtel très bien situe proche des transports en commun. Accès très facile depuis l'aéroport de Dublin. Les chambres sont simples mais correctes.

This hotel is right in the centre of Dublin on O'Connell Street.The price was great for a single traveller.I had my doubts due to the price but my room was in a great shape & I was very happy with the room.I will be back again the next time I go to Dublin.The Staff were also excellent at check in.

The hotel was in a great location- right on O'Connell street and right across from the Airlink bus stop that took you to and from the airport. The bathroom had some mold on the ceiling but was adequate other than that. If you're just looking for a place to crash for a few nights, it's perfect. Tv control not working so could not change or see anything, Noisy through the Night from back street.

Old hotel and well worn. Location is about all that this hotel has going for it. Great area and withing walking distance of many sights in Dublin. Carpet was old, we had cobwebs in the corners, hair dryer and tv didn't work. Drapes were hanging down. Pay for internet. Very warm in the room even with the radiator turned off. No view - looked onto an […] old building. On the plus side, the bathroom was clean and had nice towels. We were a bit suprised that the beds were good considering the run down condition of the building. Front desk staff was helpful. Allowed us to do early checkin. With a bit of updating this hotel would be ok and actually was fine for our brief visit if you don't need a 4 or 5 star property. Lisez la suite

The Lynams hotel is located on the busy O'Connell street. My room was facing the courtyard, so it was quiet in the nighttime. The floors and walls are a bit thin, as I can hear my neighbors walking and talking. Internet is NOT complimentary per the Lynam's website or Hotel.com website. Hotel.com staff please correct or re-verify. This was even more […] inconvenient as I had to keep going down stairs to get an access ID that is printed by the front desk staff. There were NO complimentary toiletries. Imperial Leather pink pump soap is available for shampoo and body wash. Contrary to the Lynam's site, no tea/coffee making facilities were available. All this being said, the staff were very helpful and friendly. They catered to the things I could ask for. Lynams is situated 5 minutes from the Temple Bar area. Stayed here for 1 night. Knew it was going to be very basic, but that didn't bother me. However waking up the next morning with large bug bites on several parts of my body was not nice. Took several days for them to go away and were very itchy. Further, my room faced onto the kitchen fans from a restaurant underneath the hotel - smell was okay but the […] fans themselves were noisey, even with the window closed. Also my room was beside a hallway door which kept loudly slamming shut every time a person walked by. Overall a pretty terrible experience. Very satisfied with our stay in the hotel. Receptionist very welcoming and helpful to us in organizing taxis.

Despite its very convenient location for the airport bus, shops and walking about, the hotel has definitely seen better days. Rooms are poky and those at the front are noisy from the traffic as the windows don't fit well, and small internal corridors means noise from other rooms travels easily. Not sure if the bedbug bites came from this hotel or elsewhere, […] but the suspicion is high that it was here! Lisez la suite

The hotel is old and run down. The staff seems to be preoccupied with other things rather than taking the time to welcome us properly. The location is excellent its about the only thing the hotel has going for it!

Excellent location in centre of Dublin. Very prompt attention when room safe door jammed . Good breakfasts (extra). Table in room sticky (needed wiping) with no chair in room. Also one bedroom light did not function. Inner courtyard facing room was ideal as quiet, though could hear people walking on room above. Good value. About the only thing I can say about this hotel, is location was ok. We ended up without a third bed, even though I had booked a triple room. One of us had to sleep on a cot. Not very comfortable. Wedidn't have enough towels, the lamp didn't have a light bulb and light over bathroom mirror didn't work either. Was in Dublin shopping, just needed somewhere to sleep, no frills hotel, staff were very friendly, building is very old, but very clean, was able to check un early which was great, no tea or coffee making facilities, mentioned it at reception and complementary pot of tea sent up to room, had dinner and breakfast in restaurant, after ordering was waiting […] ages but food was great and very reasonable, Location was great, would stay here again Lisez la suite

It was a five minute walk from Temple Bar - just a block away from the Dublin Spire. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The view wasn't that great from the room, but who visits Dublin to stay in their room?

This is my first time ever writing a review for a hotel. It was THAT bad...I had read the reviews, didn't expect the Ritz, but thought it would be sufficient. The location was fantastic, especially when you consider the price. However, the staff was very aloof, it happened to be cold this May (40'sF) but they would not turn the heat on, I was told it […] is shut off at the beginning of May and there is no way to turn it back on. Housekeeping came once, they left towels but don't actually pick up or clean your room-I found this a bit odd. The second night we were there there was a fire in the hotel. The alarms went off and we went downstairs, the woman at the desk told us it was fine and we could go back upstairs. Upon going back up, we realize it's not ok because we can smell smoke coming from one of the rooms. Back downstairs, told the desk and the fire dept had to come...Maybe not the hotel's fault but this is a very old building and people are constantly smoking in their rooms, the staff doesn't seem to mind as long as you pay your bill. I honestly don't mind a little noise at night, it happens, people are on vacation to have fun but one night stuck out. There was a group of about 20 men there from England for a stag party, they came in around 3am and went on fighting, throwing things, yelling etc. for about half an hour or so. It woke me up so I went downstairs to get some air. The man working the front desk laughed as I was going out and said "loud tonight, huh?" and smiled. Most hotels would have told them to leave and this guy is laughing. Just poor service all around, like I said for the location it's great but I wouldn't stay here unless it's literally just a place to sleep at night. The tv didn't work in the room, not a big deal but you would think something like that would be fixed. Instead they told us not to worry about it because we would have only got about 5 channels anyway-nice! We happened to be there while the Queen was visiting and the roads surround Lisez la suite

The room was very clean and was well kept during my stay, comfortable mattress. The staff was alright, no one particularily wowed me. One guy was not very attentive, although quite friendly. Nothing I stressed over though. This hotel is in the PERFECT location! You're within maybe a 30 - 40 minute walk from most of the major sites/areas. I would stay […] here again. Lisez la suite

On arrival at 3pm I was allocated a room which had not been cleaned after the previous guest checked out. This matter was swiftly dealt with by allocating another room to me. This hotel is quite adequate for a short stay in the city centre. I have used it before and I will use it again.

Good quality clean rooms, polite staff and excellent central location.

I made a last minute reservation and they were very accommodating. The beds were pretty comfortable and the showers were nice and hot. The location is perfect! I would definitely stay there again.

It must be the worst hotel I have ever stayed. disgusting

I stayed in the hotel as I had a meeting in the city the next day. The hotel was convenient for the city centre and I was able to get the luas to a stop pretty close to the hotel which was great. I checked in and went straight to my room. Which was small and very warm. There was a fan in the room though so I was able to switch that on to cool the place […] down. There was no showergel/shampoo left in the bottles when I went to take a shower and when I went do reception to ask for more I was given a bottle of hand soap. The hotel is great value, centrally located, clean and comfortable. The only bad point about our stay was drunk, noisy stag dos waking us up several times throughout the night.

The hotel is very noisy, and you can hear evrything that's happening in the next room. The room how ever was clean and comfortabel, and the reception staff was friendly, however a bit "short". The hotel could do with a bit of a make over, the fabric on the chairs in the room were ripped and the over all condition of the hotel left a somewhat shabby […] impression. The breakfast staff in the downstarirs cafe was unhelpful and not very friendly, and barely answered my questions. Also the impression there was that it was untidy, with both clean and dirty dishes on display on the table ment for juice and coffee. Also the downstairs bathroom seemed as it had not been cleaned in the last decade, the smell was overwhelming as the bin was more than full. We stayed here in November, during the cold and rainy weather of Dublin. The heat did not work in our room, yet it was roasting out in the hallway. By the 3rd night, the heat started to work a little...but it was still very cold in the room. That made it really hard to get up and move around in the mornings.

The Mrs. and I ended our whirlwind vacation in Dublin, thanks to the super cheap flights available. We were lucky to find this place- it fit well into our shoestring budget, was perfectly adequate, had a helpful staff, and a phenomenal location, if you are traveling to/from the airport by public transportation, and want to see Dublin. Great location. Helpful staff. The rooms were tidy but could use some updating.

Great location for our needs. A place to sleep and return to. We were expecting everything that we saw. A quick trip in and out.

Hotel smells. Carpets need cleaning. Room 3 has 1 window that will not close and the other window has a huge crack in it. Window net filthy and frayed.Miserable waitress at breakfast. Needless to say will not use again.

Hotellet kan ikke ligge mere centralt i Dublin, men så er der også givet de roser der kan gives. Hotellet er gammelt og nedslidt og rengøringen af både fællesarealer og værelse var meget mangelfuld. Der lugter grimt inde fra restauranten på hotellet (dårlig udsugning). Personalet var ikke alle sammen lige serviceminded og der er IKKE WIFI som der ellers […] er lovet. Vil ikke bo der igen. Helt greit hotel med super beliggenhet.

Det lille, lidt beskedne hotel ligger på O´Connell Street, en af Dublins store hovedstrøg.Hotellet er lidt gammeldags indrettet, men alligevel hyggeligt ogpersonalet er søde og hjælpsomme. Der er en lille hyggelig cafe med direkte forbindelse t. hotellet, hvor der bl.a.serveres en udemærket Irsk morgenmad for EUR 5.Værelserne er små, men hyggeligt indrettet, […] og beliggenheden er så central som den kan være Lige uden for døren kører der en lufthavnsbus som for EUR 6 bringer en derud på ca. ½ time, ligesom "Hop-on/Hop-off" busserne har stoppested lige udenfor døren. Veldig fornøyd med hotellets beliggenhet. Servicen og frokosten på hotelelt var også bra. Vi fikk rom i 4 etg. ut mot hovedgaten, men var ikke plaget med støy. Et billig hotell som vi absolutt kan anbefale til andre.

De gav ikke særlig god service ved ankomst - måtte vente i flere timer inden værelset var klart.

Vi ble svært overasket da vi kom, vi lå midt i hovedgaten, ved siden av en monument som var 120m høy noe som gjorde det lett å kjende oss igjen. Og vi hadde gang avstand til gatene tempel bar og grafton street. Så beligenheten var fantastisk. Hop-on, hop-off bussene stoppet rett på utsiden og flybussen. Servicen på hotellet var helt ok. Vi fikk alltid […] svar når vi spurte om noe, men virket som vi var litt til bry. Hotellets standar var gamelt, men til en så billig penge var det veldig bra. Vi er super førnøyde og ville dratt tilbake og anbefaler dette hotellet til andre som vil ha en billig reise og heller bruke mer penger i Dublin ( det er myyyye å bruke penger på og det er ikke så veldig billig der ).
