Points positifs : chambre attribuée bien située (près de la réception), nourriture très bonne, beaucoup de chaines TV par satellite. Points négatifs : j'ai dû changer de chambre le 3ème jour car la 1ère posait beaucoup de problèmes : climatisation bruyante et defectueuse, problème de chasse d'eau dans les toilettes, écoulement d'eau dans le plafond […] de la salle de bain, pas de téléphone. La 2ème chambre, située au même niveau, ne posait pas ces problèmes . Néanmoins, je déplore les problèmes d'eau chaude (attendre 5 mn avant d'en avoir), coupure d'eau fréquente (3 fois en une semaine, pénible), insonorisation (une porte de séparation avec la chambre voisine, on entend donc les voisins parler), rideaux ne couvrent pas la fenêtre (pb de réverbération le matin). Hôtel bien entretenu mais vieillissant. Soucis avec l'approvisionnemant en eau des salles de bains. Chambres refaites quotidiennement par un personnel travailleur et efficace . L'atout majeur de l'hôtel , l'acceuil et la disponibilité du personnel très stylé et toujours souriant. Ils sont réellement au petit soin. Service was poor. My friends room did not even have a tv. They took my towels before I even used them and would not bring them back even though I called 5 times. They came into my room Without knocking at 6 am and stole their own towels. Nobody really cared or followed up at the front desk. The food is average. No room service and top shelf drinks are […] charged. Bottom shelf drinks are so watered down that you need to have about 6 shots straight back to back to have a feeling. I've been around the world. I have not had a vacation in 3 years, I booked this vacation with my husband my jmother and my 3 year old daughter. I arranged so that the two bed rooms would be next to eachother with a connecting door (I paid extra money for this) When I got to the hotel one room was on the 3rd floor the other on the 4th floor. instead of king sized bed we had double […] full size beds the hotel was disgustingly dirty there was a pile of vimit on the stair way next to my room for 2 days and no one cleaned it and to top it off I was in the hospital sick for two days after I left there not sure if it was the food or the water there!! This is the second time I stayed at this hotel.. The first time was average.. The time it was really poor. Check in took about two hours. The food was disgusting, I ate on the street most of the time. The rooms was run down. This place needs a lot of work to be done..

We only spent 3 days at the resort, but in that time we had a great time. The food was good, not great, but when you're at an all inclusive hotel with bars at every corner, you don't need five star restaurants. Our room was spacious and although the tv didn't have the best reception, we spent most of the time looking out at the beautiful beach from […] our private deck :) we had one day of lite rain, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. actually it lead to a beautiful sunset!! the staff were extremely helpful and polite. there is a talent (mainly dance) show every night by the Chocolate friends, which was very entertaining and at times a little more adult then we were expecting. beautiful dancers just very small outfits. that's could be a plus or minus depending on the audience, but the shows are at 9pm. there is also a spa and casino that we didn't get a chance to enjoy. overall it was a very nice hotel full of happy people and all the drinks you can drink :) (obviously my favorite part) for a very affordable price. for the price you cant expect much so . what you pay for is what you get ...The hotel is old and needs updating ... also the rooms are old and give a dirty impression . even if they are clean , the look dirty since it just is old . This is a classic case of the good and the bad. It just depends what you are looking for and what you can stand. The good: The beach and the sea are wonderful. Really unbeatable. Staff at this hotel is the best. Have stayed here many times and this one is the best of all in the area. It is not Punta Cana but if you want to mingle with the Doninican people this area is the place to go.

The hotel itself needs some updating along with the rooms. The food is simply average but the theme restaurants (included in the price) are a nice touch. I would go back only if the hotel is on sale. The real attraction of the resort is the awesome and super clean white sand beach. The entertainment was pretty decent as well. Would go back.

Despite the bad reviews my husband and I had a great time here. The food was much better and tastier than some 5 star hotels in Bavaro. The surrounding area was very scary and intimidating at times we did not feel safe, the water and electricity kept going out. Very unhappy

This was the worst hotel ever! don't go here! Drinks were watered down, ppl are rude and the food was disgusting! The housekeeping never showed up. The restaurants were not all open everynight. Most days you had one choice of a place to eat.To top it all off, I found two dead bugs in my lunch my last day there and that was the last straw. The managers […] did not do anything for us for the inconvenience, instead they told us "it happens" they deserve one star. I've stayed at places for that same low price before and received excellent service, however this hotel was truly trash. Trash!!! Don't stay here! Anyone who has positive reviews probably works there and the pics they have online are of there vacation time share rooms and not the regular ones! This was a great resort. Friendly and helpful service, decent food, lots of activities, clean rooms, great price, interesting part of the country. The shows are well produced. The Costa Caribe had very pleasant staff and a nice beach, but there were a lot of male locals relative to females. The food was not very good and the surrounding neighborhood did not have too much going on. If you're going to the DR, it's probably best to go to Punta Cana.

I must say i wish i could have stayed longer.The housekeeping manager, Araceliz, was wonderful and did more than enough to make our stay a beautiful peaceful weekend. and as well as our house keeping , Antonia. Im recommending the resort to all my friends and family and am planning my next trip over there as we speak. =)

THIS HOTEL HAS THE HARDEST BEDS IN THE WORLD. THE INCLUDED DRINKS ARE CRAP ALCOHOL. BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLES FROM AIRPORT. The only real complaint with my stay was the weather which was of course no fault to the hotel or the travel agent. I received a great rate and the staff was excellent.

Our welcome was a 3 Hour wait for our room to be ready... we arrived at almost 3pm and we were sent to our room at 6pm, this is not a nice way to welcome a guest. The hotel was full people not nice people, very noisy and rude.. The line for the buffet was soo long and slow. The hotel need mayor improvements. NOT a pleasant stay in any way.

Poor service, food utterly sucked, and no hot water after 6pm.

please be careful the services is terrible food very simple , if you want to eat have to wait over two hour in line is nightmare.

I use to visit this hotel since late 2000. It is NOT the same hotel. The quality of food, people, atmosphere, and all around look and feel of the hotel was much better years ago, then what it is now. MY EXPIRENCE IS GOOD

When I booked the resort, I was skeptical. The description did not match the price. The details sounded amazing - all inclusive including meals, unlimited drinks and water sports. Las habitaciones nunca estan listas para entregar a la hora de entrada, se tiene que esperar hasta una hora despues para recibirlas, hay que mejorar ese servicio en el Front desk

My wife and I were in the Dominican Republic for business. We decided to combine business with a little bit of Caribean holiday spirit. We chose Costa Caribe for it's situated in a typical Caribean environment (white sunny beach, palm trees etc.) and otherwise it's only a 45 minute ride to the capital Santo Domingo.
