Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa - Somerset Village

We definitely got what we wanted - private beaches that are quiet and romantic. This does, however, come at a price, that was more taxing than we realized. We knew this hotel would be remote, we liked that fact. But for a hotel of this price and this far removed, we expected a little bit more in the way of complimentary items (like water, and snorkeling […] gear). Turns out we missed out on a lot by not having my iPrefer membership handy, and when I told them I thought I was a member, they kind of shrugged. Only when I checked in did I find out this had significantly value (credits and free ferry tokens). It appears that this hotel used to have better services (a free ferry to Hamilton), which they appear to have cut back. Fine, but find something to replace it! The once a day shuttle to the dockyards wasn't exactly comparable. We always felt like there was some secret we weren't being let in on, and little pieces were missing, like when two couples have the exact same dinner reservation time at a restaurant that is a twenty dollar cab ride away, it'd be nice to mention that. Nonetheless, we got a kid-free, quiet, stay, with a beach that was far more enjoyable to be at than the public beaches. For this, it was money well spent and we got what we wanted, which we probably couldn't have gotten for the same price anywhere else on the island. Lisez la suite

We went for our 25th Anniversary. We never left the property, enjoying the privacy of our fabulous veranda overlooking the water, the virtually private beaches, the lovely pool and the good food. The only downside is that is about as far away from the airport as you can get and taxis are more interested in serving the cruise ships than the hotel.

Not a four-star resort. Mediocre service. Out-dated furniture. Poor value. Would not return.

CB is quiet and subdued. A lovely setting with 30 acres on which to stroll. Upscale (over used term, I know) crowd but it well describes them (us). Very friendly and helpful staff.

A vwell kept and well run hotel--actually a collection of cottages spread over a lovely hillside peninsula--about as far as you can get from the airport and still be on land. The hour-long $50+ taxi ride was pleasant and scenic, and the greeting was first rate. The cottage rooms are very spacious and well equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. […] Full buffet breakfast (included) is a good way to start the day, and the dining options at Cambridge are varied as well--dinner on the beach was a pleasure at sunset one night. The food in the main dining room is a bit precious, however. The beaches and pool are lovely, and the entire resort is built for rest and relaxation. Lisez la suite

I loved our stay at Cambridge Beaches and highly recommend it . The pool , beaches and restaurants were relaxing and beautiful.

Took my wife for are Anniversary,it is a little $$$ but the staff is very nice service is great anything you need just ask they will help you with everything. Great view of the Ocean & The Bay It is so quiet and peacefull very relaxing can't wait to go back next year.

This is a lovely hotel, with a strong roster of repeat customers. Initially, we were hesitant to choose a hotel so far from Hamilton, but our fears were groundless, and we would return there. Everything on the "hotel" side is excellent. On the "restaurant" side the food is good, but a bit short on imagination. As with just about anywhere in Bermuda, […] transporting yourself requires more effort than you might hope for. Fortunately, Cambridge Beaches has lots of lovely space where you can spend your time without having to travel. Good spa; perfectly acceptable workout room. Lisez la suite
