"Good deal for the price"
The room was a little small but had twin beds, desk, chair, closet, and luggage stand. The windows opened and there was a fan available in the room if needed. Good cafes in the neighborhood. Metro station very close. We would use this hotel again.
"Affordable nice hotel"
It was a nice experience with the hotel, you can find convenient store, restaurants, metro, taxi station within 10 minutes walk.
"Good value two star hotel"
Stayed in private room, shared bathroom, three nights. Small but sufficient for single traveller. Room faced road, slept with window open. Mid week, noise levels ok. Clean and tidy room was serviced daily (full linen change, vacuum, etc.). Shared bathroom also clean. Lift access to four floors. Counter staff spoke English and were fairly helpful. Good […] location with metro stop one minute walk away, late hour convenience store across the road, and a cheap fresh sandwich store across the road from tube stop, a welcome relief from expensive Parisian food. Good value. Similar standards and location have cost a lot more. Lisez la suite
"Charming"
This is a smaller independent hotel and I have only positive things to say about my experience. I had a courtyard-side room with own bath (307). I was pleasantly surprised at how charming my room was and loved that it was wonderfully irregularly shaped. Yes, Paris hotel rooms are small and not necessarily as luxurious as comparably priced typical rooms […] in the US. However, my room at the Hotel Monte Carlo exceeded my expectations. The space was aesthetic and adequate, clean and pleasant. The desk staff was courteous and helpful. I speak zero French. The area is dense with restaurants of all types and there is a lovely grocery store across the street. It's a safe 15-20 walk to the Louvre and one small block from the Metro. I didn't do the breakfast and have no comment there. It's self-serve for a little over 9 euro. I was happy to have the option. My only minor quibble, I'm a big person and thus chose a double bed, which happened to be assembled from two single mattresses with seam in between. Nonetheless, I slept comfortably and the room was perfectly quite. I would recommend if you enjoy a little character in your life. Everything suggested that this small hotel cares. The hotel website is worth browsing; the personality comes through there. The pictures are better lit than my experience, but accurate as to all other room conditions. Lisez la suite
"Return Visit Confirms First Impression"
This was our second visit to the Monte Carlo. We like it because it is convenient to the Gare du Nord and thus the Eurostar to London and the RER to CDG, because the buses and metro conveniently get us to our favorite museums, and because the neighborhood has a large variety of restaurants. Luxury is neither promised nor delivered but guests may depend […] upon a warm welcome, accurate information about the neighborhood, and a comfortable room in which to sleep, all at a reasonable cost. We'll return again. Lisez la suite
"Excellent Location"
The hotel has an excellent location in that it is probably less than a 5 minute walk from a Metro station and is surrounded by a neighborhood with several good restaurants and a small market across the street. If you have issues sleeping with background noise, avoid a room facing the street (e.g. 403, 303, etc.) The hotel is on a busy street and has […] an Irish Pub next door - if you're not used to city noise at night this could make it hard for you to sleep - otherwise great place to stay, good price and most staff bilingual and incredibly helpful. "Great little hotel"
The Monte Carlo is a great little hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is very individual in style, quirky is the correct word! The staff were very friendly and spoke great English. The rooms are small so only good for a short stay, but it was really clean which is the main thing. The TV offers BBC 1 and Channel 4 which is very unusual but welcome! […] It did get a bit noisy at night outside but the hotel does have double glazing so that helps. Breakfast is extra and to be honest you would be better off going to a cafe as we felt is was over priced. All in all though a great little find. Lisez la suite
"Monte Carlo - Excellent location, friendly staff"
We stayed for 2 nights in the Monte Carlo and would thoroughly recommend it. The room and bathroom were very clean and big enough for what you want in a hotel room. It is very nicely decorated and a little bit different - much nicer than staying in a typical chain hotel. A tiny negative - our room was surprisingly hot, despite the cold weather outside, […] but nothing that couldn't be solved by opening the window. Lisez la suite

Lovely decorations and walking distance to Lafayette and Moulin Rouge, there's a supermarket at the opposite of hotel. But the neighborhood is quite lousy and the room is very small.

"Monte Carlo Hotel Paris - perfect for a short stay"
Monte Carlo hotel is perfectly situated to explore Paris from - centrally situated. The staff were very friendly and the hotel kept very clean and tidy. I like'd the warm colour scheme - made it seem very cosy. Even sharing a bathroom was ok as it was kept very clean. I'd definitely stay there again if I return to Paris.
"GOOD AND BAD"
Room is sub-standard. Furniture was picked up off the street. Colors were awfull and decor is a nightmare. Stair well is about 1/5 meter wide. Neighborhood was not upscale but OK. Staff was nice and polite. Internet worked fine. Breakfast was good. Coffee available all the time. Room and bath was clean. Heat worked. Would not recommend it because […] the hotel is just too low end. Lisez la suite

Hotel was very good, close to transport, restaurants and cafes. The room was small, however very clean and comfortable. Good value, would stay there again.

Clean, comfortable. Small room, but updated decor including tv in many languages. Very good, powerful shower. Neighborhood includes the old Paris arcades, wonderful places to eat and explore. Very close to Metro Le Peletier, walking distance from Roissy Bus to Opera.
"Close to Metro Station"
This is a good Hotel just for shortly stay and go to sleep, clean enough, good people at the counter front desk.

"Hotel Monte Carlo - good location, very noisy"
I booked this hotel for a nearby conference as it seems well rated and it has free wifi (which is important to me and worked well). The room was clean, well serviced with fresh sheets, towels & toiletries and it had a nice bathroom, however the room was very small. It's the right size for a solo traveller but my partner joined me on the trip and it […] was barely big enough. The biggest problem was that you can hear everything in the corridors and usually the next room, so we had to listen to conversations, an argument, music and sex on and off up til about 3am. Not a problem for me as I sleep heavily but my partner suffered! It feels like they just need to replace the doors with better soundproofed ones. The staff were very nice, always at reception, had good English and very obliging of the one request we made of them. We didn't try the breakfast there as there's a number of places in the area for food, especially along Rue Montmartre. Overall, I'd say it's a good hotel if you're on your own and sleep heavily but for couples, light sleepers or people who need space, it's not as suitable. Lisez la suite
"Decent hotel"
Pros: - Fairly good location - Cheap rates. - Metro station just around the corner - No frills or no nothing. Simple stay. - Decent free WiFi. Cons: - Small room. Not much area. Although it's fine for short stay and 1-2 person max. - TV has only few channels. - Breakfast not included, but it was expected at such rate. Overall, I would stay again provided […] that I get non-street facing room. Lisez la suite
If you are only looking for a place to sleep then this will work fine. I stayed in the single shared bathroom and it was just enough. Make sure you bring flip flops for the shower. I was warmly welcomed and the front desk was always available and eager Ro help me out. It's a small quaint hotel in the 9th arrondissement on a street that provides cafes, […] restaurant and grocery store options. Close to Pelletier metro and a 10 minute walk to Opera house. Very well situated. If you're young make sure to check out Cafe Oz on Poisonniere street. Great Austalian bar that's busy all the time. All in all, for the price it was a great stay. Lisez la suite
"Monte Carlo Hotel Paris."
Although the room was small we managed. Service, and cleanliness was good and English was spoken at reception.. The location was excellent with supermarkets , cafe's , hop on hop off bus, and Metro stops close by. It was quiet at night. Highly recomended for a short stay in Paris.
"Hotel Monte Carlo- Paris- Fantastique"
Great little budget hotel. Nice, responsive staff and a great location. The room was simple enough, 4th floor, facing the courtyard, furthest corner from the shared washroom. The sheets were nice and crisp, white, white, white. The TV control had an issue first night, left it at the counter next morning and it was fixed by the time we returned from […] breakfast. Only 3 english channels, but you're not there to watch TV are you? We never ate breakfast at the hotel due to the volume of store front opportunities in the immediate area. In-room safe was convenient. We walked everywhere in Paris from this hotel. The Eiffel tower is a bit of a stroll, but we were walking 10-20km/day and loving it. If you aren't prepared to walk that much, the metro is nice and efficient, easy to use and understand. Lots of great little restaurants nearby, for you die hards, the Starbucks and Hard Rock Cafe is only a 10 minute walk away. BTW, the block that they are on is a nice little shopping district, won't break the bank like so many others in Paris. Galeries Lafayette is 10 minutes away as well, just in the opposite direction. Take the time to enjoy the scenery and the people, both are fantastique! Au Revoir Paris! We'll be back! Lisez la suite
"Cozy Montecarlo- Safe Choice & Friendly HotelStaff"
MonteCarlo definitely made my stay in Paris memorable. I've read the reviews of this hotel across various hotel internet platforms and I was encouraged by the way that they have consistent reviews. As a result, I am extremely satisfied with the price and service of the hotel. It was in a relatively good neighborhood in an extremely good location. It […] is near the metro (5 minutes walk) and it is a 20-min leisurely walk to the Sacred Heart Shrine at Montmarte. The Front Desk is friendly and extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel esp. to single travelers since I felt safe and it is an ideal location to enjoy an afternoon off seing the beautiful August in Paris. Lisez la suite

"Good value for the money"
This is the second time I have booked my own hotel in Paris. The Monte Carlo staff are friendly and helpful and do their best to help you enjoy your stay as much as possible. One of the staff even gave me a cup full of laundry detergent so I could do my own laundry at a pay laundromat (laverie), which was highly appreciated! :)) The room is a comfortable […] size and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom in my package had only a shower and a sink so I used the shared toilet in the corridor which was also very clean. However, the size of the bathroom is rather cramped. When standing in front of the sink and the door open, my elbows could hit the door on one side and the shower curtain on the other. The shower was also cramped. It was very easy to hit one`s hand onto the faucet and also the shower curtain would stick to one`s back since the space inside with the curtain closed was barely enough for an average-sized adult. I am a medium frame, 5 feet 9.5 inches (174cm) so I am not exactly a huge guy! Also, the room lighting was dim and uncomfortably so. There is a double-fixture little light over the bed and a since light over the desk. Even with BOTH of them on, the room was bright enough to move around in, but certainly nowhere near bright enough to read anything comfortably. They really should think about increasing the illumination in their rooms by adding more powerful light bulbs if possible. There were two electrical outlets in the room but one did not work. There was also a floor fan with an extension chord but the chord was much too short to reach from the AC outlet next to the bed (the only one which worked) to the foot of the bed. Also, the fan`s push-button used for making it swivel was broken so the fan would only work in one position without any swivel. I was lucky though, that I did not need the fan, since the weather at night was cool enough to sleep comfortably with just the window open. With the window open, however, there is a consid Lisez la suite
"Perfect for the budget"
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in July. It is perfect for the budget, and not so far from main locations in Paris. The hotel staff are very friendly, polite, and helpful. There are many supermarkets or nice restaurants nearby so that one can decide what to do for food. The only minor thing was that the rooms were very small. However, I will most […] probably go there next time that I visit Paris. Lisez la suite

"Average stay, parts of the accommodations poor"
We stayed at the Hotel Monte Carlo for 3 nights. At first we marveled at how nice it was! But after more time there, a few things stuck out. Pros: -Close to metro stop (Peletier on #7) -Clean and up-do-date interior -Staff was helpful -Comfortable bed -Free wifi -Good tv -Neighborhood feels safe Cons: -Room was very dark all day, even with all the […] lamps on (only helpful when sleeping) -Low ceilings, particularly in the bathroom -No shower! Only a shower wand in the bathtub -Breakfast is extremely expensive -Healthy walk to main areas (15 minutes to Garnier opera house, 25 to Tuileries and Louvre, over 30 to the Marais and Notre Dame) Tips: If your stay in Paris is brief, this hotel will suit your needs well unless you prefer to be closer to the center. If your stay is more than 2 nights, I would suggest a different location as the bathroom becomes frustrating if you wish to stay clean. Also, do not get the breakfast, there are several bakeries and Starbucks nearby with less expensive options. Lisez la suite
