Les atouts de l'hotel: un emplacement parfait pour du tourisme, juste à côté de la gare Termini, chambre assez spacieuse et terrasse sur le toit de l'hotel. Les déceptions: le jaccuzzi n'est pas en service même quand il fait 27°C et est minuscule (2 pers maxi), le service bar à la terrasse est décevant (aucun choix et très cher pour ce que c'est). Pour Rome, bon rapport qualité prix même si pour un 4 étoiles, on pourrait attendre plus (c'est davantage un 3 étoiles)

Le séjour a été très agréable, pour des chambres modernes. Le petit déjeuner est très bien, et le personnel très serviable. L'hotel est bien situé à proximité du métro.

L'hotel est plutot bien place a cote de Termini et a proximite du metro A et B, donc access direct au Colisé ou au Vatican. L'hotel n'est pas de premiere jeunesse mais reste confortable. Les chambres ne sont pas tres grandes mais restent habitables. La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas lors de notre passage car trop tot dans la saison. Niveau bruit ca reste acceptable, la rue n'est pas trop passante. Le petit dejeuner est de moyen, le cafe n'est pas tres italien mais ca reste acceptable. Pour le prix de la chambre, ca reste une bonne adresse.

Nous gardons une très bonne impression de ce séjour. Nous avons été très bien accueillies. L'hotel est bien placé, pas très loin du centre ville et des transports en commun. Cadre très agréable.

Séjour avril 2012 avec bébé de 1,5 ans (suite avec 1 chambre). Chambre propre et confortable, design intéressant. Hôtel et quartier très calmes, chambres en retrait de la rue et jardin très agréable à l'ombre des arbres. Chambre assez sombre, qui nécessitait d'allumer la lumière même le jour, donc plutôt un hôtel pour un séjour estival. Wifi gratuit, mais connexion assez lente. Petit déjeuner très bon, même si l'on peut regretter le manque de plats chauds. Quelques améliorations possibles: le personnel ne nous a parlé que du métro, à 10-15min de marche, alors qu'il existe d'autres solutions notamment le bus 628 au coin de la rue qui dessert plusieurs points touristiques très intéressants. De manière générale le personnel offre peu d'informations touristiques. L'emplacement n'est pas le plus central, mais c'est le prix à payer pour le calme. Prévoir entre 1/2h et 1h de temps d'approche total pour le centre touristique. Attention cet hôtel est catégorisé comme appart hôtel mais nous l'avons trouvé plutôt mal adapté à cet usage: pas de four ou de micro-onde, très peu d'ustensiles de cuisine, meubles pas toujours pratiques, etc. C'est une cuisine d'appoint pour des clients qui mangeront la plupart de leurs repas en ville. C'est pourquoi nous ne le recommandons pas forcément pour des familles, même si les enfants seront très bien reçus et que le personnel est très sympathique, attentif et serviable. Globalement l'impression générale reste très positive et agréable.
Situation
Au cœur de Rome, l'établissement Best Western Hotel Spring House est très pratique pour les familles. De plus, cet hôtel se trouve à quelques minutes de marche des sites Chapelle Sixtine, Musée du Vatican et Casina Pio IV. Plus petit état du monde, la cité du Vatican est dominée par la basilique Saint-Pierre, la plus grande église de la chrétienté. La superbe Pietà de Michel-Ange et ses fresques ornant le plafond de la chapelle Sixtine comptent parmi les plus belles œuvres d'art au monde. Le quartier Aurelio doit son nom à l'ancienne Via Aurelia, l'artère principale qui reliait Rome à l'Espagne. Il est bien situé, à proximité des sites de la ville.

"Location was great, small room but hey, it's Rome."
The location of the Spring House puts you 5 minutes from the entrance to Vatican City and another 5 from the Basillica and the Hop on Hop Off bus tour. It's close to the Metro station that you might want to consider if your looking to get there from the Airport. The Airport shuttle that we used drops you off a bit of a walk away so be sure to consider […] a metro or taxi ride if your heading to the hotel with a load of baggage. Hotel was nice, small and they offer a free drink if you find yourself there between 4-6 pm which is tourist prime time, but a nice touch regardless. Internet and water pressure was good. Bed comfort is about 6 out of 10 for someone who appreciates a good sleep but it was quiet and we got good rest for the 4 nights we stayed. There are arguing restaurants and varying prices so shop around. Watch for prices on vino. Those seem to be the best indication on what you'll pay for dining. Lisez la suite

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Good service and friendly staff--very helpful with directions. The breakfast every morning was a great beginning to our day. Daniel was our server most every day and very attentive. Location was good--walking distance to Vatican City, local restaurants and shops. We were 5 females and booking the Family Room worked […] out great. It was 2 adjoining rooms and having 2 bathrooms was a must. This hotel was very good for the price. The staff there was phenomenal! Always helpful, always polite. Most of them spoke English very well, although we tried (laughably) to speak Italian! The rooms are small, but this is normal in Europe. The only complaint is the shower. It was so teeny my tall husband had a problem getting in and out. Service of staff was always great and very helpful. Room was in excellent condition, except for shower door not sealing properly. Any other maintenance issue identified was quickly rectified, even late at night (safe was disabled when we first arrived, but quickly fixed within a few minutes). Continental Breakfast was very good, and well facilitated. […] No matter if there were just a couple of people or a full breakfast room, there was always a good amount of food. This location is not central to Rome; however, for what we wanted to emphasize, it was very well placed. Location to Vatican City was excellent, and everything else within Rome was a walk away. We requested a room for 3 and it was good size and very clean. Hotel space friendly and helpful, for both transportation and dining information. We've stayed there previously and on both occasions were very satisfied with our experience. Vatican and St. Peters are within 5 minutes, Metro stops 5-10 minutes. Will stay there again when in Rome.

In general it was a very nice hotel. Staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Breakfast was over average for a 3* hotel - with fresh fruit, hot eggs, sausages, bacon, different cakes, etc. The room was clean and in good shape - just a minor leak in the toilet that wasn't a big deal (anyway the reception offer us to change room). I stayed at Spring House for a week with my three kids. We had a "family room", which in reality are two double rooms with a door between them which gives the feel of a small apartment, very nice, especially since it means two bathrooms/showers, great when you have teenage daughters! The rooms aren't very big, but the standard was ok, and the cleaning/maintenance […] was very good. After each day on the town we came back to a neatly tidy room with plenty new towels. The breakfast was nothing special, but it did the work just fine, and all the staff we came in contact with were nice and accomodating. The hotel lies very close to the Vatican, but some distance from the city centre, that was fine though, because the subway is quite close, and it's an efficient way to move around in Rome. I would NOT recommend driving! The surrounding area have stores and restaurants, although not as much as the area around Spagna for instance. We particularly liked Ris Café, very close to St Peter's. Not cheap, but not expensive either, but great food and service. We enjoyed our stay at Spring House, it was not extravagant in any way, but more than enough, and clean, which is a big thing for us. Great value for the price. You could not bet the location for ease of getting to the Vatican! The staff was wonderful! When we first arrive Daniel gave us a local map and told us where to go and what to see and how to get there. All his information was accurate and made our touring very efficient! He was extremely helpful in assisting when our plans changed and guiding me through the steps of canceling our reservations with hotel.com. I greatly appreciate all his help! "Excellent location, wonderful staff"
We had a beautiful room, excellent service. Our air conditioner was not cooling our room, however we loved our location and did not want to change our room. Staff brought in a fan.Satisfied us. Other than the malfunction of the a/c, it was a terrific experience. Highly recommend Spring House, Rome Italy!

Great staff, clean and comfy. Room was very small but we made it work. Breakfast was fantastic!! Close to Vatican, free internet, walk to grocery and plenty of shopping and places to eat. Would stay there again!

This hotel served well as a starting point for my 2 weeks in Italy. Off the beaten path. Subway was a 5 minute walk away, making the entire city easily accessible, Vatican City 5 min walk. Good location near Vatican how ever surrounding area is dirty and smells like urine.burnt out car 50 mrs from hotel.room smelt like mould and when we arrived outside our room there was a hole in the roof with water dripping on to the floor.we told the front desk staff and they did not care much and seamed a little surprised to here this .you would think […] that they would now if their was a water leak in the hall way were hotel guest walked past.room was very cramped for four people,very hard to move around room with luggage.Basin in bathroom leaked water on to spare toilet roll and onto the floor,mentioned to front desk staff nothing was done about it,so we had to keep asking for more toilet paper as spare roll was all soaked and could not be used.Safe in the room did not work and after telling staff twice to have it fixed gave up in the end.overall hotel in bad state and in need of repair/refurb. Air conditioning in rooms is dismal. Size of shower stalls minute- Even though close to the Vatican , the surroundings of the hoteldo not show any of the4 splendor of Rome.

Hotel is very close to entrance of Vatican Museum, on the backside of The Basilica. Next door is a grocery store. Great front desk service & they spoke English, free wi fi and free good bfast with our stay. Bfast included usual pastries with scrambled eggs, sausage and fresh orange juice. I traveled with my younger teenage kids there and felt safe to […] and from the Metro station two blocks away and to the Vatican. The only downside: our room was very small! The hotel is located very close to the Vatican which was very convenient. Is also very close to the CIPRO metro station hence travel within Rome was also very convenient. The rooms were clean and cosy but what ticked me off was that inspite of specifically booking a triple occupancy room it appeared that we were given a double room with an additional […] cot. Breakfast was ok but the coffee was a big disappointment. May be we expect too much for a cappuccino :) . The service ranged from wonderful to abysmal depending on the person at the desk. e.g. the Receptionist went out of his way to book us last minute on one of the Rome tours.on the flip side we had to remind them 5 times across the whole day to remove the spoiled milk container from our room. There was also a lack of basic common sense in service like keeping 3 cups for tea/ coffee in the room when it is booked for 3 people. Every day the additional cup had to be requested again. We stayed in this hotel in Rome for a week. The location is 5 minutes walk to Vatican museum, Saint Peters Basilica and subway station. When we were checking in we saw a French man at the front desk complaining about broken shower and something else so we were praying for our room to be fine. The room has electric kettle, comfortable bed, TV and AC. What we did not like is a room service: you had literally to ask add tea bags, toilet paper, tissues and liquid soap. The hotel is within walking distance to the Vatican City and the metro is only 4 block away which makes it easy to get to other tourist attractions. This was exactly what I needed for my time in Rome. I had two days and was spending them both at the Vatican. The room was small but very comfortable. We are a family of four. The rooms were spacious, especially for Europe and very clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Very close to the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Close to a Metro station. Buffet breakfast has a variety of good items including fresh fruit, juice and milk. Room was small but functional. Free WiFi in rooms was convenient. We had a quad room, but one of the beds was basically a double-size sofa bed. Overall friendly staff. Right next to a market, […] which is difficult to find for a first-timer in Rome with no car. Elevator was small. Overall an excellent hotel. Pros: Amazing breakfast, very helpful staff and extremely clean rooms. Hotel was well located right outside Vatacin City but the area was dirty. Dead birds & rat in the street (Seriously) Trash every where. The shower was so small my husband could not turn around in it. The drain backed up and you had to turn the shower off or flood the bathroom. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The hotel Restaurant were microwaved meals […] by the bartender.
