Hotel propre personnel accueillant et disponible Situation ideale sur le lido a deux pas de la gare routiere et maritime tres bon rapport qualite-prix-situation

Pour nous c'etait tres tranquil d'etre sur l'isle de Lido, mais il faut prendre le "water-bus" a Venise. Le water-bus arrive tous les plusieurs minutes, donc, ce n'est pas dificile. Nous aimions beaucoup les promenades sur l'eau de Lido a Venise. Mais je ne sais pas si tout le monde aime tellement l'eau!

DOMMAGE LE YAOURT ET L OEUF PAYANT

Petit hôtel très bien entretenu et très bien situé (proche de Venise et à 2 pas de l'embarcadère). 2 petits bémols : la literie (pas très confortable) et l'insonorisation. Je le recommande pour son rapport qualité-prix.

La chambre est propre et plutôt charmante mais assez petite. Il y a la clim, une douche agréable, literie plutôt confort (mais assez short). Elles sont également très très mal insonorisées.

Hôtel très agréable, un peu ancien mais en très bon état, chambre spacieuse avec grande salle de bains et propreté irréprochable. Petit déjeuner correct. Sur le lido à 30 sec à pied de l'arrêt de vaporetto et proximité de la plage (10 min à pied) Hôtel très agréable, petit déjeuner dans la cour super sympa. Très bon hôtel, parfois un peu bruyant (mauvaise isolation sonore mais nous n'avons pas eu à en souffrir ; les clients étant très discrets). Personnel très agréable.

hotel situé sur une île le lido à 20 min de la place san marco en bateau. chambre petite ms suffisante pour le temps qu'on passe dedans. salle de bains ok. petit dej convenable ms on a vu mieux! le personnel est très gentil et accueillant. par contre les chambres sont moyennement isolées. globalement pour un court sejour ns recommandons cet hotel!

Décoration vieillote et mauvaise insonorisation des chambres (tuyauteries, bruit venant des chambres mitoyennes) mais excellente tenue des chambres.

Hôtel idéalement placé, près des lignes de bateaux. Rien à redire sur l'ensemble de l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner classique, on regrettera d'avoir des thermos de thé et de café... Certains clients toutefois avaient du vrai café et des yaourts, sans doute des différences liées au prix des chambres ? I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. personnel where kind and friendly, room was clean and tidy each day. Perhaps free WIFI would have been a good option to have.

I was very pleased with the hotel - it's affordable, yet only a few (15?) min away by public transport (boat) from San Marco square. I arrived soaked through by the rain, and although the official check-in time is 1pm, the receptionist let me and my daughter in straightaway, more than an hour early. The room was small, but comfortable, and we were pleased to make use of the postcards on the desk. There is no refrigerator in the room (not an issue in my book), and the loo is quite close to the wall - anyone with a particularly large girth would struggle, but the vast majority of guests would be OK. Great location for waterbuses to airport & Venice. A good budget hotel in a safe neighbourhood. Could not access wifi, unfortunately. Room was very small, but clean. Hotel Helvetia is very conveniently placed for the water bus into Venice. A bus ticket is a must, we paid E33 for 3 days and used it lots. The first Venice stop is 15mins away. The hotel is only yards from the water bus stop and near restaurants and shops. It is very quiet on the Lido with very llittle traffic. The hotel is clean and comfortable but […] our room was more like half a room. It had the feel that it had been cut in half. We booked 'deposit not refundable' and we didn't have a safe and had the smallest of shower rooms. The double bed was comfy but pushed up against the wall which made it difficult getting in and out. The breakfast was plentiful but only continental. If you want eggs or yogurt you have to pay a surcharge! We found the staff at Hotel Helvetia to be exceptional. They always took time to answer our questions with a friendly response. Loved the location away from Venice, but only 10-15 minutes to San Marco square by vaporetto. Nice outdoor terrace to enjoy the provided breakfast. Quality hotel right off of the main street. Two minute walk to waterbus and St. Mark's Square. Lido is a beautiful island. Room was larger than expected and the bathroom was adequate. Beds were a bit hard and a queen is really two full beds put together. Overall experience is 3.5 out of 5. We would stay again.

OK, first the bad thing. The room was extremely tiny. But then I heard that it was the norm when staying in Venice. One guest that we spoke to said there were other hotels that charged more (up to double the rate) and the rooms were even smaller. The hotel was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. And lets face it, you only go to the hotel to sleep. […] Staff were super and very friendly. The hotel was very nice and pleasant. Very, very conveniently located, about a minutes walk to the water bus. I'm glad we chose the Lido instead of Venice itself. The area was picturesque with lots of shops and restaurants. The entire experience was very pleasant. The water bus was no big deal and we enjoyed the boating aspect of it. The big beach was only 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. Breakfast was included and was in a very pleasant courtyard, which made the morning coffee a pleasant affair. 1. old and big key! you have to deliver key any time you leave hotel. 2. complicated breakfast menu! 3. wrong location of hotel in map. 4. good place in Lido. 5. nice officers/workers. 6. good air-conditioning. 7. near swimming beach.

A very conveniently located hotel on the Lido - only 2 mins walk from the Vaparetto stops, which take you straight onto the Grand Canal (15-20mins). Note however that it does take 45 mins approx to get to the train station from here. The whole area and hotel had a really nice calm holiday feel. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is adequate. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Where do I start with this hotel we took a 2 week vacation to Italy and France and stayed in a total of 6 hotels this one by far stands out as the worst hotel of the 6. The room was so small that your have to be careful walking around in the room just because of the limited space otherwise you will bump into something with your knees. The included continental […] breakfast did not include eggs or yogurt and there is a lady standing with a clip board that tells you that as you are standing at the buffet picking up food. There was a 15 year old girl that picked up a hard boiled egg and the rude lady with the clip board said you know that is not included she that will cost you extra "What is your room number?"Just like that. we just saw that as we walked in and just said no thank you and had breakfast elsewhere. The location is not bad, when you get to the island of Lido however I have stayed closer to the main land before and it was much easier to get to the main areas of attraction. definitely would NOT recommend this hotel especially for someone visiting venice for the first time it would ruin your whole experience. The hotel is very well situated only 2 mins walk from the vaparetto terminus and on the main avenue from the terminus to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and the general facilities were of a reasonable standard. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as the breakfast room and garden area (with plastic seating) wasn't overly inviting and there […] are a number of nice cafes nearby where you can sit and enjoy the world go by. Our double room was clean and had all the essentials but was EXTREMELY cramped - only one person could get dressed at a time and the bed was against a wall so getting in and out was problematic... The ensuite bathroom had a good shower but you has to sidle up to the toilet and sit sideways since there was only about 10" from the toilet to the wall! The overriding memory of staying at the Helvitica was that it was manageable for a couple of days and was very convenient location-wise but due to the room size I couldn't really recommend it for a longer stay. Finally, if you're looking for somewhere to eat the restaurant on the waterfront to the right of the vaparetto terminal as you come off the boat - I think its called the Laguna is worth a trip and much better than the selection along the main avenue. It also has a spectacular view of Venice especially at sunset - go there early for a drink and enjoy the sun going down on Venice. Lisez la suite

The Hotel Helvetia in conveniently located, close to the water bus stop, but get a room away from the street. The adjacent all-night, open-air bars can make sleep difficult. The rooms are fine and the staff are attentive, but the extra charge for the eggs and the yogurt on the breakfast buffet is a bit tacky.

Hotel was conveniently located from the water-bus stop on Lido. Just a couple of minutes walk. Breakfast was adequate. Really nice garden. Staff was friendly and courteous. I was a bit taken aback when they asked for our passports, but found out later that that was standard practice in Italy. Room was nice and spacious. The hotel location is great if you want to be Lido Island. Lido is quite pleasant itself, but the canals of Venice are a transit boat away. If you want to get away from the touristy feel of Venice and into a more real neighborhood, I would recommend Hotel Helvestia. Within a few minutes' walk from the vaporetto station, and on the main drag of the Lido, it is nonetheless quiet and charming, with the added attraction of a courtyard garden where you can eat your breakfast or read in peace. […] The lobby and parlor are also charming spaces with funky midcentury modern armchairs. You can walk to the Lido beach, eat in the numerous restaurants near the hotel, or stroll in the neighborhood. My one quibble is that, for a fairly expensive room, they really should not have charged extra for eggs or yogurt for the breakfast! We were able to obtain a family room with 4 beds to save money but it was still on the expensive side. However, the charm and ambience really made us feel that we got our money's worth. First night did not go to sleep ,,the window opend to the street, Next night got another room but we had to spend 1/2 day asking for it. Front desk also the MGR. are NOT nice and it is hard for them to smile.

We enjoyed our stay very, very much. We were travelling with our daughter and a 2 year old and a 4 3/4 year old grandchildren. The accommodations were most comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to return sometime. The transportation to the hotel was efficient and the neighbourhood and eating establishments were also […] enjoyable. Very nice hotel. Convenient location. Very near to Vaporetto stop. Nice restaurants nearby and 5 minute walk to the beach. Would have been happier if there were free wi-fi.

we stayed in a family room for 4 people and it is an excellent hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast.. Ideally located within walking distance to Lido water bus terminal . St marco square is only 10 minutes and Venice train station is 40 minutes by waterbus. Overall very satisfied

We had a delightful stay at Hotel Helvetia. The staff was courteous and helpful, the breakfast was the best we had during our entire stay in Italy, and the location was perfect. I will definitely recommend it to others.

The hotel is right off the water bus stop on Lido. Easy to find and get to with luggage. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us as we had lost luggage and they spent the entire day tracking it down for us! Other than this hotel being the farthest out on the waterbus line, it was terrific. On the way back to to the train station at the end of our stay, we took a route with fewer stops and saved about 20 minutes off our travel time. The hotel is very close to the water bus terminals, and there is a nice cafe across the street. The service was outstanding […] with one exception; at breakfast we were told that if we had eggs or yogurt we'd have to pay, and one particular employee kept watching us as though he thought we'd "steal" what was supposed to be a complimentary breakfast. Other than this one incident, our stay was terrific. I just wish we'd planned to stay longer, as I could have spent hours just wandering around the island, and there aren't really any sights there...although they are only a water taxi away. Location is excellent. Hotel should be rated as two star, not three star. The rooms that our couple friends and we had were two small to qualify as a three star. Literature indicated that the hotel was air conditioned. It may have had air conditioning but it was not turned on. The staff told us that the government would not let them turn it on until […] June 1. The truth is that other hotels nearby had air conditioning that was operating. Fab hotel location is great, all the pleasures of venice across the water and turn right out of hotel five minutes walk and you are on a great beech.Plenty of nice caffe's and bar's on the lido.

I had a good stay at this hotel. It was just a two-minute walk from the ferries off of the Lido, and the rooms were not bad for the price. The wireless internet was very conveniently priced and reliable so I could email home from my room or the courtyard. The continental breakfast was pretty good and I enjoyed the service. Just a short walk fromt he Vaperetto station on Venice's Lido, this location provided a welcome relief to the crowds on the main islands. The Vaporetto service (using line 1) is extremely efficient. Being on the Lido also makes the beach easily accessible. Local cafes close by - look for those used by the locals which are much cheaper - and a supermarket […] across the street. The area of the hotel is EXCELLENT on a nice walking strip near public transit waterway. Many restaurants, diners, ice cream shops on the strip. Near beach. Curtious, English-speaking front counter staff. Although the Hotel is old, it is well maintained and clean.

This is a lovely little hotel far away from the touristy crowd in Venice centre. Yet only 10 minutes by Vaporetto. The main stop on the Lido for these is just a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but that is what we chose. On holiday we just need a place to rest our head. We did not make use […] of the breakfast offered. There are so many little places and also excellent restaurants all around the hotel. Turning left out of the front door there was a small road side cafe where we had lovely rolls and coffee for just Euro 7.00 for both of us every morning. Overall it is a hotel to be strongly recommended for those who don’t want to spend a fortune and yet want comfort. The restaurants around were great and not expensive. Just avoid “Ristorante Gran Viale” (half a block down turning right out of the hotel). They are rip-off artists offering meals at one price and then charging almost double under the pretext that they did not understand you and you not them.
