We have stayed in this hotel several times. The staff have always been courteous and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is convenient to many Albany attractons and the interstate. You do have to pay for parking, however.

I had only 1 problem, in the morning I found a bill under my door for parking, I wish I would have known that up front, not that would have any reason for me not to stay there. It's a great plce to stay, staff was helpful,and you were about a 6 block walk to the Times Union Center.

The coffee maker was broken and was replaced my second night. Saturday night was St. Patrick's Day and I was awoke dozens of times by parons running down the hallway and slaming doors at all hours into the early morning. I would have complained but I felt the hotel wouldn't have done much due to the holiday. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room came with standard extras: toiletries, coffee maker, internet access. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. Way better than usual hotel continental style. Comfortable, convenient, all important amenities available and working, great value. Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. The women-only floor was a nice touch, the snacks much appreciated. Hotel was very clean. Continental breakfast was better than the usual spread. Easy walking to the theaters, restaurants and bars. Just be careful to stay on the main streets when walking. Easy access to nearby highways. Decor was business class and modern. No complaints.

Very nice, clean, and modern hotel. Staff was friendly and caring. Breakfast was not that good though, and they also charge you for parking which they don't tell you at check in..

The Staff was outstanding and the accomodations were great. Bennie at the front desk does a terrific job demonstraing Customer focus and service with his positive attitude. It made our Christmas stay a great experience Thanks

The Hampton Inn and Suites was just fine for a one night stay. We did not request and did not get a suite, but just a regular room which was just fine - as expected, with an iron and ironing board in the room - much appreciated, and a coffeemaker and all the other amenities. We did hear some noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms, don't like that,but […] it ended and the night was quiet. They had a large party at the hotel of a family for a wedding - must have been 50 people having breakfast when we came down the next morning, but the staff handled the crowd well and we had no complaints about the breakfast or our room. We were in Albany for an event at the Palace theater and this hotel is close walking distance away. Lisez la suite

hotel is very quit, in Down town. The hotel staff is very friendly.

Beautiful hotel right by the restaurant/bars....great service and delicious complimentary hot breakfast. One note to be aware...expec to pay extra to park your car at the Hotel parking lot.

The Hampton Inn put me in a room that the previous occupant had not checked out of.They also forgot my wake up call.The manager gave me a voucher for a future free stay which I plan on using in December.This was my 5th stay at this hotel and my first bad experiences there.I still like the hotel and look forward to using the voucher in December.

The hotel was one block from the Bars and resteraunts of Pearl Street. It was also close to a running path on the Hudson. The area, though downtown and close to the federal courthouse, seemed safe and well lit. The rooms we stayed in for a business trip were clean and well stocked with towels. Two minor factors that may leave some wanting more: the […] fitness center equipment was in poor repair making an outdoor run the only real option for anyone serious about their pesonal fitness; less importanly for most business travelers, the bathroom had only a shower, fine for business, perhaps not for some families with small children. Paid a lot of money for a room that was mediocre and in my opinion only worth about half the prince of what we paid. I would not stay there again. There were things about the room that were not clean, and the hot tub leaked.

I booked 2 rooms but the hotel received only 1 confirmation. They helped me resolve the problem quickly. The Yono Restaurant, in the hotel, is a good restaurant. Free breakfast was excellent. WiFi is a plus. Parking was extra, but should be included in the room charge. Overall, a good place to stay.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn because of its close proximity to Times Union Center where we were attending a concert. My only real complaint was the parking situation. An outside company runs the parking which costs $12.50. Even though the hotel is involved as far as validating parking tickets they absolve themselves of all responsibility for any parking […] issue. I didn't like storing my key overnight with the parking attendant where it hung on a board like valet parking. The booth was wide open and as there was only one attendant it was easy to slip by him so I was worried someone would get my key and steal my car. Even though I parked my car myself they turned it around overnight so I was worried about the contents of my car still being there. Other than the parking this is a beautiful hotel that caters to business customers. The complimentary breakfast was very complete and everything was kept filled. There is no pool so anyone looking for a family place should probably look elsewhere. If I were to attend another concert I would consider staying here again. Lisez la suite

We just stayed here for one night, as we were seeing an Avenged Sevenfold concert at the Times Union. The room was nice, but the walls could use some painting as they looked a little grungy in areas. Everything else was awesome. The location was perfect, about 1/4 mile walk to EVERYTHING. The beds were so comfy. The breakfast was wonderful. the pump station. the blue cheese pizza at victory cafe was just ok but different.. the one with kraut and corned beef was better. need to try the restaurant in the hotel but pretty pricey. do not like the fact that you have to pay to park and to use sauna/steam room. wish there was a pool like some other close hotels but still worth it if the price […] in comparable and only staying for the weekend or winter. close enough to drive to a number of different places and the bus was almost at the front door. close to many attractions as well and highway to get to the mall/other locations. We booked a room for a one night stay on our way farther upstate. We were greeted warmly at the front desk, offered a choice of valet, self-service parking, or street parking (we were informed that meters were free on the weekends). Our room was on the 10th floor with a nice city view. The decor was contemporary with dark woods with what I'd call a 'chocolate and vanilla' color scheme. Highlights were a large screenTV, a chaise lounge and a GREAT bathroom. The bathroom was quite luxurious with a large wood vanity with all the goodies stored on the bottom shelf. The oversized shower was a stand up, marble gem with a bench and a great shower head. The bed was more than comfortable (I like a firm mattress) and the bed coverings were ample and soft. On the bed were choices of pillows and firmnesses to please most. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and a made for a perfect night's stay. When checking out, we took advantage of the free breakfast - TAKE ADVANTAGE!! - this breakfast had eggs, make-your-own belgian waffles, many breads and bagels, several cereals, fruit, coffee, tea, several juices, sausages and french toast! We enjoyed most of the choices and we pleased at how fresh everything was. This gave our morning a great start. We were asked to "come stay with us again when you can spend a few days enjoying our lovely city" We've decided to do exactly that AND we know exactly where we will stay! Lisez la suite

Hmm okay! Where do I start.. well, when you drive up to the hotel, THE PARKING LOT IS IN THE BACK. Easiest way to go.. and despite the lot in front, park in the back. Go to check in, easy. I did also mention that I reserved through the site. Okay. Go up to the room, clean (V. important) no pool :( its okay, there's a pub across the street; liquor store […] a few blocks away. We had an absolute blast that night with our plans, got back to the hotel.. hung out for a while and eventually passed out. Pretty much one of the best nights ever. I recommend this hotel for a night or two if you have business in Albany. Though Albany's streets are a bit rough, it's historical value is spectacular. Anyway, the "Continental Breakfast" is open until 12p (at least on Sunday) as is checkout. Nice that you're not pressured for time. The lobby is also decorated to meet Albany's historical standards, very charming. Also, nice stand-up shower complete with bench ;-) Checkout was easy though I did have to clarify, again that I had reserved though the site. Easy-peasy-bing-bang got the car and left. Great place to stay close to everything

Much nicer than typical Hampton -- very nicely appointed but bed was a little too firm. Excellent staff and good restaurant adjacent. Great neighborhood for strolling and shopping

From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, our stay in Albany was wonderful, in large part because of this hotel. Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean, the staff was attentive and helpful. We could not have asked for more. The hotel is easy to find, but a small challenge to navigate to because of the one-way streets going the opposite […] way we wanted. The hotel itself is close to the theater, restaurants, and located in a beautiful, old part of the city. Most of what we wanted to do was within easy walking distance (with 2 young children) or a short drive away. The car was within easy reach because of the valet parking for a tiny extra fee. Bennie at the front desk was cheerful and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. His co-workers, whose names I did not learn, were equally wonderful including the man I rode an elevator with at 5am on my way to the well equipped fitness center. We did wish there was a pool, but did not miss it. Otherwise the hotel exceeded our expectations and lived up to the rave reviews we read. Lisez la suite

The hotel and its staff were very accomodating in every way. Everything was very well organized from the front desk, to my room, and to the parking. The place was clean and well furnished. All of this made for a very comfortable stay. I ate at Yono's which was fabulous. It is expensive but the food and service is exactly why you pay that much. It was […] well worth it all. the hotel was clean and the price was great. the parking was a bit of a mess and one of only 2 elevators broke down which was a hassle trying to get down to the lobby from the 9th floor. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

The room was great! The customer service was fantastic. The housekeeper had no problems telling me about the disinfecting cleaner they use in the tubs when I asked. I felt comfortable allowing my children to take a bath in a hotel for the first time ever! Even after we checked out they allowed us to keep our car parked there and to come back and use […] the restroom when we needed to. Highly reccommend this hotel. Lisez la suite

This is a nice hotel to stay in. I do think that it should be cheaper, based on the city it is located in- Albany, but it was nice- the continental breakfast was pretty good. They had a few hot food items with the option of making your own waffle. I think the breakfast area should be in a more secluded spot rather than right by the entrance to the hotel […] and near the check in desk- but this seems to be common for Hampton INN. I had no problems with the hotel, other than I left something there, I had to leave a message with housekeeping, and never recieved a call-back.
