Grand Hotel Bonanno - Pise

Hôtel agréable, petit déjeuner copieux. Les repas du restaurant de l'hôtel sont également bons. Personnel sympathique , excepté la jeune femme qui nous a accueillis, et que nous n'avons d'ailleurs plus revue par la suite, qui a été extrêmement désagréable ; je pense que nous l'avons dérangée! Hotel bien situé près de la tour de Pise (à 300 m à peu près) mais un peu à l'écart du centre-ville et près du chemin de fer obligeant d'emprunter en voiture ou à pied un passage souterrain un peu glauque. Personnel très serviable et sympathique, copieux petit déjeuner et vrai parking. Bon rapport qualité/prix.

Il est situé à environ 10 minutes à pied du centre de la ville. En conséquence, nous commençons à explorer la ville un peu deja fatigué

Bon accueil, hotel propre proche du centre touristique et accès à un parking surveillé gratuit

confortable et agréable

Nous sommes râvi de notre séjour à cet hôtel, nous y sommes resté qu'une nuit, nous venions de Corse par Livourne, et c'était une halte avant la remontée en Lorraine. Accés de l'hôtel très facile, certe les environs ne sont pas terrible, voie ferrée, proche d'une zone industrielle, mais nous étions quand même à 500m du site antique, avec la place, le […] dôme, la cathédrale et bien sûr la tour. Les chambres étaient confortables, climatisées et très propres, et le petit déjeuner le lendemain matin très copieux, avec fruits, charcuterie, viennoiserie etc, très bien, nous étions quatres, 2 adultes et 2 adolescentes. L'Hôtel est bien situé à environ 800 mêtres des principaux monuments, le personnel parle parfaitement français, il y a un stationnement privatif, le quartier est calme, les prestations sont digne d'un palace, le petit déjeuner est copieux et la salle suffisammant grande rien à redire absolumment !

Le quartier n'est pas le plus sympa de la ville. De plus, malgré la proximité de la voie ferrée, nous n'avons pas été embetés par le bruit. A part cela, rien à redire, presque "tutto è buono " en somme !

Possibilité sans problème d'aller à pied visiter les monuments. Parking gratuit à l'hotel. Petit déjeuner très bien

L'hôtel en lui même est très bien; rien à dire; confort, propreté, calme (malgré la proximité de la vois ferrée) accueil. Mais il est excentré et situé dans une zone artisanale triste...Un peu loin du centre touristique; (seul avantage: un parking gratuit)

Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. We utilized the 10 euro airport pickup, and the driver was right there when we arrived. There are very few restaurants in the neighborhood, but we were happy with the taste and value of dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was good to eat there so that we don't have to walk through the underpass […] late at night. We also had cocktails in the early evening and enjoyed the free unlimited snacks provided with the drinks. The neighborhood is very quiet with no shopping or entertainment nearby, but appears to be quite safe. I was very satisfied with our whole stay and would gladly return and recommend it further. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They spoke English and helped us with all our inquiries. It was clean and well kept and maintained. A 10min walk to town and the same to the leaning tower makes it nicely central.

Nice place, friendly staff, only a short walk to the Tower. Rooms were very clean and though not the largest we've stayed in they were large enough.

Very classy hotel, well kept, spacious room and upscale restaurant. although not the closest to Pisa, it is well within walking distance. It is a very safe walk which we did during the day ad at night. We higholy recommend this hotel.

the Grand Hotel in Pisa was clean and comfortable. It was a few blocks from the Tower and Duomo. we needed a cab to and from the train station to the hotel. the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was buffet and excellent.

Travelled with my mother and my 2 year old. We were given adjoining rooms which made things easier for us. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, not very spacious in general, but ok for short stays. Good selection of choices for breakfast too. Would probably stay there again.

This hotel was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. The service was excellent and the restaurant provided an excellent breakfast and dinner. Mario, Simone and the rest of the staff went out of their way to help and assist.

The only problem I had was very poor internet service. This was a big problem on an international business trip. Matt

The interior of the hotel and the rooms are pleasant, clean and modern, exceeding our expectations, and the buffet breakfast was well above average. the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, although they could consider taking their cigarette breaks elsewhere than the main hotel entrance. The hotel was a five min bike ride from the leaning tower and they have bike rentals at the hotel. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. Not to mention the staff was very helpful and outgoing. I would stay here again

Not quite as close to the airport as they say (only as close as the crow flies) however this has been by far the most comfortable stay we have had in Pisa over the years. The family room for 4 is actually two connecting rooms and not one suite and if the doors close they lock shut and the staff need to come and unlock them for you. The buffet breakfast […] was by far the best we have ever encountered in Italy, with a selection of meats, cheeses, fruits and yogurts and bacon and eggs and juices. The internet service worked well. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the Tower and there are adequate food services within walking distance. The hotel also has an area that you can sit outside in the garden. The only drawback was that the hotel is a little bit further from the Pisa downtown core and that when we arrived late at night, tired and hungry from our flight, there was no room service food or snacks available and the airport shuttle was no longer running so we had to grab a taxi. The receptionist went out of his way to help me find accomodations in Cinque Terre and was also helpful in telling me about other sites/activities to see besides the leaning tower since we had been to Pisa before. Very pleasant experience.

Good and comfortable to stay but far from station. No free pick up service which should be provided by hotel. pisa tower and other places are far from hotel if travelling with older kids.

I traveled with two teenagers and they enjoyed this hotel very much we had free wi-fi in lobby. They have shuttle service to train/airport but they do charge a fee 10 euros almost the same as a taxi. Breakfast was very good. Easy 10 min walk to Leaning Tower. Felt very safe. We would stay in this hotel again.

I arrived in Pisa at 8pm by train from Florence with my three sons. We had an early flight home from Pisa airport the next morning. We waited at the railway station for 20 minutes for a taxi along with two other parties but there was no sign of any taxis so we decided to start walking as we had the impression from the online hotel description that both […] the hotel and the train station were in city centre. We figured it couldn't be far to the Grand Hotel Bonanno. Unfortunately the map provided with our hotel confirmation did not show both the hotel and the railway station and we ended up walking for an hour asking directions before we found it. A couple of people said it was far and we should be on a bus, not walking. This situation could have been avoided by a map that included the hotel, the railway station and the airport, plus a local taxi telephone number. Because of the delay getting to the hotel the restaurant was about to close for the night when we arrived so we rushed down to get something to eat. We were very impressed that this presented no problem to the staff...we had thought they would be eager to finish work and might be inclined to rush us. Not at all, we had a pleasant and relaxed meal. The hotel clearly caters for people with early flights from Pisa as they happily and efficiently booked an early morning taxi to get us to the airport and had a picnic breakfast ready for us to take with us when we checked out at 5am. Very Nice hotel though a bit of a wak if you don't take taxi to hotel. About 15 minute walk to nearest bus stop and 20 minute walk from hotel to Leaning Tower and field of miracles attractions. Good hotel experience

WE ARRIVED EARLY FOR OUR RESERVATION AND WERE HUNGRY. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS NICE TO OPEN THE BAR AND SERVE US. THE ROOM WAS NICE AND THE LOCATION AND ATMOSPHERE OF THE HOTEL WAS GOOD. WE SAW OUR SIGHTS CLOSE BY AND HAD TRANSPORTATION BACK TO THE TRAIN STATION NICE TRIP.

The only down side of our stay was the evening meal. I had to send my Main course back as the meat was not cooked. They were very good about it and did not charge.

The Hotel was convieniently located to important sights, within walking distance. Good parking facilities. Modern look and feel in an historic localtion - Pisa. Breakfast service good (did not make use of evening meal ) - room more than adequate with moderm feeling. Some staff more attentive than others. Would use again if in Pisa.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and good sized rooms. Walking distance to the leaning tower. We stayed for 2 nights to sight see around pisa. Ideal hotel for this. Not directly in the the centre of it all which suited us as it was quieter and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Generally, the Bonanno was a perfectly pleasant hotel to stay in near Pisa. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they all spoke English well. The internet connection in the room (wired) was barely functional, which was a bit frustrating, but several other hotels in Pisa had similar problems while we were there. It's a short walk from the edge of […] the city, but if you are heading for the university or something else on the other side of town it's a bit of a hike. This was our second time to stay at the Grand Hotel Bonanno. It is an ideal hotel for a short stay in Pisa. (Our reason for staying was a late flight arrival time and the need to to pick up a hire car from the airport the next day) The hotel is not in the centre of the downtown area but Pisa is not a large city so the site of Leaning Tower is no more […] than a 10 minutes walk away. Shopping and restaurants are also within walking distance. A key advantage of a non central location is that there is very little noise from traffic and in particular un-muffled motor scooters. Flight crews overnighting in Pisa also stay are the hotel and this is usually a good sign. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but was clean and airconditioned. The general areas within the hotel were also very well maintained and clean. A buffet style breakfast was provided with plenty of choice available for both adults and children. A modern hotel situated within walking distance of the Leaning Tower and a short taxi ride from the Central Station and Airport. Rooms were comfortable, well appointed and exceptionally clean. Spread over 3 floors the rooms were reasonably quiet, with occasional noise from nearby railway line & traffic using the underpass at front of hotel. The hotel […] restaurant provided a buffet style breakfast with a good choice of cold fare also scrambled egg, bacon, sausage & toast. Dinner was available in the restaurant (or as room service) from a fixed rather limited menu. Pricing of food & drink was about average for the region (but expensive compared to UK prices). Overall a good choice of Hotel for a short stay to see the sights of Pisa, with easy access to frequent & inexpensive rail link to Florence. Lisez la suite

We were traveling with a teenager, and he was pleased with the layout of the room--his space was divided from ours so it was almost like two rooms. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Cathedral/Leaning Tower area. We liked being away from the crowds and noise. The hotel room was a little on the snug size, but everything else was more than adequate with plenty of storage The location was great as we only had the afternoon and evening before flying back to the UK, and it was only a short walk to the centre and its sights. The food was excellent and for a four star hotel we were very impressed with the price. The service was quick and efficient too. The breakfast was also plentiful and was regularly topped up, with lots of choice, although the morning we were there there were a coachful of people and so it was extremely busy with a lot of impatient people pushing and shoving which was a shame. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but nothing really memorable about it either. Not really any facilities but fine to stay in if you flew into the airport late at night.

Everything you expect from a four star hotel in Italy. Walkable distance from the leaning tower and some decent eateries, but nothing to do immediately around the hotel.
