"A good deal for the money"
The room I was in was small but comfortable, to be expected given the very reasonable hotel cost. Great hotel staff who were helpful and friendly. They certainly added to the value of the hotel
"Handy Downtown location"
Room was small the double bed was very comfortable except for the electric blanket had a big plastic disc right where my shoulder was. There was a bit of noise from passersby later on but was ok and to be expected as we stayed on a Saturday night. Trinity is in a good location its an easy walk uptown and at a good price. We would have rated it higher […] except for the small bathroom and the shower door did not shut properly and leaked onto the floor. We enjoyed the included continental breakfast, especially the yummy bakery grain bread. Will probably stay there again next time we go to Wellington. Lisez la suite
"disappointing"
It was not a good stay. A couple of staff were quite unhelpful, the restaurant staff were rude. It was freezing cold until the early hours of the morning and then the heating was blasted on, to the point of opening the window every mornign. Paper thin walls, very noisy corridors, room virtually unserviced over 5 days, very dirty. Not pleasant.

Really great value for money and affordable parking. Book parking at time of reservation to ensure spot. Need to park nearby and arrange for reception to open underground car park across from church. Friendly and helpful staff.. Will definitely stay there again.

"Overpriced, small room, terrible breakfast"
This accommodation wasn't quite what I had hoped. The room was tiny and we could heard every word spoken outside the room. The continental breakfast was a choice of sugary cereal or toast with jam (bad luck if you don't eat jam), and crap coffee. It was clean, at least, and in a good location, but not what I expected for $100.

NZ as well as AU accomodation is expensive and can't be compared (rating) against the US. A (4) star hotel in this country, will reach a 3 max and be carefull about "resorts", they aren't even close to what we know as a resort. Ok for a short business stay, not vacation!!

"Great hotel"
This is the 3rd time I've booked this hotel and each time has been great. The only thing is even staying there 3 times, I didn't realise I had to 'book' parking. The 1st 2 times were not a problem. However, the 3rd time, the parking was full so we had to park on the street which proved an adventure in Wellington! Great place. Just next time I'll make […] sure I book parking before I come! Had an enjoyable stay, the room & toilet was clean. However, the door keep giving off sound whenever some other guest close their room door. And quite late into the night, could hear some couple arguing after drink session since there was a bar operating just next to the hotel.

hotel looked modern from outside. Room very shocking. very small. TV was small and channels were not tunned in. i rang the reception to find out if they had sky Sport and he said just go thru all the channels. only 10 channels and non of them was sky sport so i turned it in myself. bathroom was very style and modern but the bathroom door was missing […] glass panel... i inform the reception person and he did not say anything. he just said ok. hotel is not worth how much you pay. Excellent Friendly service by all staff! Meals were beautifully cooked, presented and well priced. Central location to the wellington CBC, great for commuting to all local sights and other amenities.

Clean and comfortable in a handy location but had a problem with service. My booking was made the day before and clearly stated continental breakfast was included in pre pay price. However reception staff insisted it was room only. I had printed off the page from when I booked but the ink was faint and I decided not to argue the point. Fortunately McDonalds […] close by. Would recommend hotel only for someone travelling on business and not for a special weekend away. Mini bar offerings were amongst worst for quality and and price I've ever seen. We stayed one night in Trinity and for that I suppose it was ok considering the price we paid for it. We wouldn't stay there any longer or go there again, because the room was so tiny and there weren't any windows to open and see outside. Because it was public holiday, we didn't have to pay to park a car outside on the street, but otherwise car parking […] costs both outside on the streets and in the hotel's car parking. The staff was friendly and the location in the city was ok. It was easy to go for a walk in the city and find restaurants nearby. "One night stand in Wellington"
Overall the hotel was very good, the room was very well laid out for a a older type of hotel, the rooms have been modified and very clean and cosy. Went down stair to the bar for drinks and found the bar well set out and was given good service, the bar was very busy for a Thursday and we enjoyed our drinks, snacks were good, just not enough variety […] for dinner. The only downer was the service when we arrived as the person behind the counter was on the phone for a while and we had to wait and after flying in from overseas that's the last thing you want to be doing on a very cold and wet day Lisez la suite
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was on the small side but clean and comfy. Great location to every thing, walking distance to all touristy venues. Only problem was gaining access to the underground car parking, was a bit of a pain.

The price on the room was a good value, and it was clean and well furnished but very compact. No wastebasket or tissues in the bathroom (shower only). Unloaded our luggage onto a cart, which then wouldn't move because it had three flat tires. No other luggage cart available. Front desk was accomodating in arranging airport transportation for the next […] morning. The hotel is in walking distance of Cuba Street restaurants/shopping but it was hard to get to sleep because there was a lot of street noise and "sidewalk" noise from passerby who were having a good (or drunken?) time. Got a good deal on this booking. Hotel was nice and in a decent location. Some of the carpets could use a good cleaning or should be replaced if possible. Good staff, quite attentive. Wouldn't mind staying again.

"Cleanliness and condition"
the shower area on the wall was dirty need to be scrup down x with the shower it was like a hospital shower that is just shower curtain which does not work because water was all over the the floor and i have to use my towels x need proper shower

Location ideal though traffic noise obvious. Quality of food, room - very good value. Service excellent. Location made sight-seeing and shopping easily accessible. Pleasant stay all round.

My recommendations for this hotel would be the tarrif is good, the accessability to city services good. Close to shops and sightseeing, therefore a convenient location. Be aware that when you book and you wish to have a car space that you book this also at the same time then add that cost per night to the tariff for a true comparison. Getting caught […] with nowhere to park in Wellington can put a whole lot more on your total stay costs. Bathroom facilities are good, but be aware that the room lighting is very dim so don't bring a book to read if you cannot work the TV programming. Lisez la suite
"Run down and neglect"
The first room was a tip and not ready - so we were allocated another - the alternative room was very cramped, some lights didn't work and had a noisy cistern that wouldn't stop, as well as noise from the road, pedestrian crossing outside. The reception staff were good and gave us another larger room the following night - but this had problems too - […] the glass shower cubicle doors had been replaced with 'make do' heavy red shower curtains. One of the lights in the bathroom was broken, and lights didn't work in the wardrobe unit. Throughout our 5 day the lobby computer remained broken. Nice room, clean , etc.. Helpful staff. Good central location. Parking very helpful. Only problem is its a typical noisy central city location without double glazing to reduce noise. I would go again. Good value for money. Keith

Hotel is in excellent location, very central within walking distance to center. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable except for size and noise: Willis St is a major commercial street and the sounds of the delivery trucks at 5am will ruin anybody's morning. Rooms are kinda small. There's no kitchenette, but a small […] fridge is provided (it's half full with mini-bar items). Also, parking is an issue. They have a small garage you can use at extra charge. They let us park the car for free on the weekend though so I don't know the exact price during week days (NZ$15?). Lisez la suite

My husband and I stayed at the Trinity Hotel for 3 nights in December 2010. The hotel was in a great location to walk around and explore Wellington by foot. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. We are recommending this hotel to all our friends and family who are planning a trip to Wellington!

Front desk service was amongst the best i've ever experienced. The room was great and immaculately presented and at a great price. the only negative was the very audible garage door every time someone entered or left, luckily i am a heavy sleeper :-) ...

The desk was manned 24 hours a day, which was a relief since the hotel I had previously stayed in wasn't. Nor were a number of other local hotels. The building is quite close to the City Hall, and is a short walk from Te Papa, the National Museum. This hotel was excellent value for the money. There was no shortage of hot water. Central location, close at hand to restaurants, cafes, the waterfront etc. The Hotel room was very clean and sufficient for meeds. An electric jug needed to be replaced and was replaced straight away with and apology.

Redelijk hotel voor een prima prijs. De douchecabine sloot niet goed, waardoor het in de badkamer al snel een waterballet werd en een klein raampje in de badkamerdeur was gebroken. Maar voor dit geld mag je ook geen 5-sterren hotel verwachten, midden in Wellington op loopafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden. "For støjende omgivelser"
Rummets størrelse var i underkanten til at være komfortabelt, støjniveauet fra trafikken i gaderne var alt for højt, således årsag til dårlig nattesøvn. Fik i øvrigt anvist samme værelse ugen efter første besøg!

Unser Zimmer hatte einen schönen Ausblick auf die gegenüberliegende Kirche. Es war ausreichend groß und alles war sauber und ordentlich. Zum Hotel gehört auch ein kleines Parkhaus - das kostet zwar extra, ist aber immer noch billiger als auf der Straße zu parken. L'hotel è in buona posizione e si presenta bene. Io avevo la camera sul davanti della strada e quindi arrivava un pò di rumore e di luce.

Das Trinity Hotel liegt unmittelbar im Stadtzentrum von Wellington. Man kann alle Sehenswuerdigkeiten in einigen Gehminuten erreichen. Leider bringt die zentrale Lage auch einigen Verkehrslaerm mit sich. Schliesst man jedoch die Fenster vollstaendig, schlaeft es sich jedoch trotzdem einigermassen angenehm. Parkieren: Das Hotel hat ungefaehr 15 Parkplaetze […] fuer 15 NZD pro Nacht. Samstag/Sonntag ist das parkieren rund um das Hotel auf der Strasse problemlos moeglich und kostet nichts (wochentags ist zwischen 18Uhr und 8Uhr das Parkieren ebenfalls kostenlos, aber man findet jedoch nicht so einfach einen nahgelegenen Parkplatz).
