(23-25 avril 2012) hotel sympa, trés proche de la gare, dans un quartier animé, à proximité du grand canal et du départ du vaporetto. Chambre confortable mais salle de bain un peu petite, petit déjeuner super, bon rapport qualité prix.

Hotel très bien situé, à deux pas du terminus des bus de transfert aéroport et de la gare, près d'un arrêt vaporetto (+vente billets) wc salle de bain dans la chambre, petit déjeuner à volonté copieux et très diversifié, propreté impeccable, accueil en français... Nous avons séjourné en couple à Venise, en période de Noël. La toute première qualité de cet hôtel, c'est sa situation à 200 mètres de la Ferrovia, la gare de Venise, tout comme l'accès aux bus venant des deux aéroports proches de la ville. L'accès aux Vaporettos y est facile, avec l'arrêt à quelques pas (station Ferrovia). Venise se visite à pied ! […] en flânant, vos pas vous mèneront rapidement à San Marco via le Rialto. Quant à l'hôtel lui-même. Les chambres sont malheureusement SOMBRES, la lumière manque cruellement. Le personnel est très professionnel, la chambre était impeccablement nettoyée, les draps changés, le lit fait d'une façon impeccable. La salle de bains est plus agréable et très bien conçue. (toilette, bidet, douche, évier, sèche cheveux), très propre comme la chambre. Nous avions chambre sur cour, l'hôtel était silencieux. Seul éventualité, les fenêtres donnent sur les tables d'un snack proche qui pourraient se rendre bruyantes en été, mais je ne l'ai pas vérifié ! Le choix des petits déjeuners est un peu mince, la quantité est illimitée (buffet). Pour conclure, cet hôtel est tout-à-fait correct dans sa gamme de prix, le personnel parle plusieurs langues. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et le personnel était très attentifs à nos besoins et parle français Tout à été parfait à part le jus d'orange du petit déjeuner. C'est un hôtel à conseillé pour ceux qui viennent à VENISE pour la première fois En tout cas pour nous nous y retournerons si nous revenons à VENISE

L'aspect de l'hôtel et des chambres en particulier est correct. Les chambres sont un peu petites, mais c'est compréhensible dans Venise. Par contre, l'hôtel est relativement bruyant, surtout pour les chambres du premier étage. Le petit déjeuner est compris, mais très peu garni et pas très très bon...

L'hôtel est simple, les chambres petites et avec peu de rangements mais la salle de bain est plutôt spacieuse et l'établissement est très bien placé: proche de la gare ferroviaire et d'une station de vaporetto et pas très loin des parkings si vous arrivez en voiture. Même s'il est un peu éloigné des grands site touristiques, le quartier est agréable […] et animé. Dans la rue de l'hôtel, on peut trouver un très bon glacier, une pizzéria (Ae Ocche), des patisseries, épiceries, magasins de souvenirs, etc... Le personnel de l'hôtel parle un peu français; çà peut aider! Je conclurais en disant que le rapport qualité-prix est bon, que nous y avons déjà séjourné 2 fois, et que nous y retournerons sans hésiter. Lisez la suite

Hôtel correct malgré le prix qui reste assez élevé pour la qualité d'hébergement proposé (mais l'hôtellerie est chère en Italie). Sinon, bien placé car chambre au calme mais tout en étant à proximité de rues animées, du grand canal et des départs de vaporettos. Le moins est indéniablement la salle de bain qui est très petite et qui était inondée après […] chaque douche. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais il permet de prendre des forces pour la journée (à part le jus d'orange qui est vraimet imbuvable). Nous avons appréciés la proximité de la gare routière car lorsque vous arrivez à Venise et qu'il faut traverser toute la ville pavée avec ses canaux avec votre valise ce n'est pas l'idéal. De plus, nous n'étions pas proche de la place San Marco ce qui nous a permis de nous perdre dans les ruelles afin d'atteindre ce point si stratégique.

le personnel n'est pas trés acceuillant ni souriant. la chambre trés petite et pas en adéquation avec la photo de présentation, propre, mais les taches sur les murs laissent à désirer. le choix de chaines télévision est quasi nul (une chaine française). isolation phonique mauvaise, on se fait réveiller par les clients qui rentrent trés tard et à 5h […] par le personnel (pas d'égards pour les clients qui dorment), ainsi que les chasses d'eau des toilettes des autres chambres. pour un trois étoiles, on pourrait s'attendre à beaucoup mieux! The location is perfect - 5 min. or less from the train station. We just walked with suitcases in tow. The room was clean, though not big. The best thing - it was QUET, though the street below is the main thoroughfare! The view from our window was nice (rooftops, not canals). The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful. Clean and useful, but pretty small room. Good happening neighborhood, where you can shop and eat very late. Slightly away from the attractions, but the water bus, rail and bus proximity made it a good location. NO WIFI in the room. Only wifi in the lobby at Euro5 PER HOUR.

Beyond great spot but beware! This was the only hotel in a week of experienceing our honeymoon in Rome Venice and Florence where I felt dirty! Gross walls! Gross bed! Overall dirty feel! I was itchy the whole timethinking there were bugs! All the rooms in Europe were small so we were ok with that- but reallyjust dirty! Great hotel for the price. PERFECT location. 100m from the train station. Great pizza place next door and right off the Grand Canal. Would highly recommend. Only negatives are the "European" bathroom but that is to be expected in Italy, and no fridge. Look for the grocery stores nearby to save on supplies. Great staff and a great experience. We needed a hotel close to the railway station. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good and the location ideal for Venice sightseeing. The Ritz it is not, but we found it very acceptable and reasonably priced.

Good location but poor breakfast. Acceptable service and in general it meets the expectations you can have on a three star hotel in Venice.

This is by no means the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed at, but hotels in vencie arent cheap, and for the price this place was pretty good value for money. You could probably find somewhere on the Lido of far better quality for the same price, but if you want somewhere central, right in the thick of venice, and really close to transport links, […] then this is what you want. Room was simple, but fine, and always very clean. Breakfast was a good buffet of continental foods, not a full english, but a good spread of everything you want when on a mediteranian break. Staff were perfectly nice. No free wifi though. Again, the best thing about this hotel is its location. This hotel was very over priced no way is it 3 stars. When you first walk in the carpet on the main stairs says it all - Old stained and dirty. This whole hotel could do with a refit and clean!! We arrived early at the hotel and were told our room wasn't ready (which we expected cause we were early) came back 3 hours later were led to our room, had […] to nearly jog to keep up with the guy while carrying our own bags only to find the room was not ready and had not been cleaned, so we were let into the room next door which smelled like dog, but were so tired from travelling crashed out. During our stay we noticed the shower leaked and was causing the door frame into the bathroom to rot as well as the carpet outside the bathroom, looked discusting and smelled!!! the shower itself was horrible would not stay at one temperture if you turned it up to much when it changed it would either burn you or be freezing. Breakfast wasn't very good very basic no choices. Only good thing about this hotel was the location. Would NOT reccommend staying here Lisez la suite

Hotel Nazionale is in a very good area close to train station, boat services and shops. The hotel is very clean. The only thing that i didn t like was that we hadn t a full length mirror in the room.Just the one in the bathroom which we found very uncomfortable because it was so small. I was very dissappointed in this hotel. I thought we were getting a hotel with a 3 star rating when in fact I am not sure this hotel would rate a 2 star. The first room they gave us was located over the trash area. When we opened the window we were welcomed with flies and garbage smells. The second room had dirt marks on the ceiling and the walls. The […] sink in the bathroom was so smaill I could barely wash my face in it. In addition, each time we took a shower the bathroom floor flooded as the shower doors would not shut. Finally, the hotel does have a lift, but the information fails to point out that you must get to the reception area of the hotel, which is at least 40 to 50 steps up before you reach the lift. The hotel is fairly aged but the room was clean. The only issue with the room was they leave the windows open when the clean it and mosquitos get in the room. It is pretty well priced to stay right in Venice compared to other hotels and it's only about a 5 min. walk from the train terminal. It is a bit of a walk from the hotel to the main sights but […] hey it' Venice there are only 2 ways to get around either boat bus or walk. The only other weird thing I found with this hotel is that they want you to hand in your room key everytime you leave the hotel to go out other then that we were pleased with the hotel. The hotel was in a great location, just a 3 or 4 minute walk from the train station and the Grand Canal. This was important to us as we came by train and there are no taxies to help get your luggage to where you are staying, so the streets are full of people draging their luggage to their hotel. We didn't have far to go. The Grand Canal by the train […] station is also a main place to pick up the hop on hop off water bus. The hotel is surounded by shops and restaurants, so it was fun to shop and eat near by. The breakfast was good and served in a plesant diningroom. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated, but quite small. It was in the back portion of the hotel and there were about 40 steps to walk up to get to it. There is no elevator, so it is a hike. Brilliant hotel. Right near the train station on the main walkway. Can't complain about anything. Room was clean and more than enough space - bathroom was a wee bit small but served its purpose. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Venice and would stay there again if we go back.

The Hotel Nazionale was very easy to find on the main street along from the station. The nearby food places were cheap and the icecreams delicious.

We gave this hotel a try even after reading some negative reviews, but deduced that those negative reviews must have come from people who are not familiar with European hotels. My husband & I were pleased with our stay here. The room was clean & comfortable, though smaller than Americans are used to. The bathroom was spotless, but had a small shower […] (2 feet x 2 feet), which is common in Europe. The breakfast was good...breads, meat & cheese, fruit, cereal, coffee & tea. The staff was pleasant as well. The best thing was the location, it was only a 2-3 minute walk from S.L. train station. (Exit the station & walk to the left down the main street.) We so much preferred having hotels near the train stations to avoid dragging our luggage onto boats or across canal bridges, plus it's perfect when you have early trains to catch. One block to the train, 1/2 block to the Vaparotto. The staff was lovely and the breakfast was very nice. I was traveling with my daughter not what I would have considered a romantic get away hotel. But perfect location and very comfortable. Easy to get anywhere and you do not want to stay all day in your room in Venice anyway.

The only positive thing that I can say about this hotel was its convenience to the train station. The rooms were extremely small and the bathrooms were even worse. Certainly not as pictured on hotels.com website. The hotel staff was not particularly congenial or helpful. Breakfast was ok, but if you happened to be eating at 10am, you were rudely told […] that they closed and 10am and you needed to leave. To use a hair dryer you were required to put down a 10 euro deposit even though they were advertised as being a part of the room. This hotel definitely left a bad taste for future visits. We took the train into Venice and had large bags, unfortunately. From the train station to Hotel Nationale is about 500 yards on the left! It was great just to walk to our hotel and not have to wait in line for a vaporetto! The room was on the smaller size, but it was clean and the bathroom was great! It is a walk to St. Mark's Square, but it is was […] fun to just "get lost" in Venice! When we left we just walked past the train station and crossed the bridge to the bus terminal. It was about a 20 minute ride to the airport! I would recommend this hotel to anyone not wanting to take water taxis. Staff were very pleasant. No issues at all. Lisez la suite

Other than great location, nothing else will be recommended. A lot of mosquitoes in the room, even with windows closed. The bathroom smells very bad. Very outdated, needs renovation. The breakfast was so so, not too good compare to another hotel we stayed. Will only recommend for it's location.

The room is very small and shower facility is horrible. It was almost flood in the bath room after we took shower! The front desk is not that helpful.

Excellent location for a base in Venice. 10 minute walk from the bus stop with only 1 bridge to negotiate, and less than 5 minute walk from the train station. Rooms are small but very clean. Continental breakfast is where they fall down. Provide boiling water for tea, not warm water in a jug, and don't water down the fruit juice.

Only problem is air conditioning. Its an old old building. Very clean, curtious staff. Nice European breakfast. Location is exceptional.... However the bathroom is tiny and I mean tiny. Hard to take a shower. Very clean but room is very very small. I'm not there for the room so didn't matter. Just enjoy the location and go ..... water taxis right outside […] the door way. Stayed there mid-March so temperatures were very comfortable. overall, the hotel is ok, mainly because it is in a great location with proximity to the train station as well as within easy walking distance of all major venice attractions. however, the room left a lot to be desired. the size of the room was small, but that's normal and to be expected. […] however, the walls are covered in padded fabric which looks like it has not been cleaned in quite a few years which in turn influences your impression of the overall cleaniness of other things like the carpet, and especially the sheets. but overall, it's a bed in a great location, and for that it gets a 3 outta 5.
