"Over Priced"
Of all the hotels that I utilized during my most recent visit to spain and france this hotel was 1. the most expensive 2. the least pleasurable. It was the most expensive and highest rated - however the other hotels ( all of which were rated lower) provided better service. The garden area (one of the reasons I chose this hotel) was difficult to access […] for someone in a wheelchair (my wife) It required entry through an adjacent alleyway. The biggest pro was its relative closeness to the Ramblas. I would will not stay here on my next visit to Barcelona. Lisez la suite
"Great location, but understaffed"
We stayed here for two nights. Our garden room was quite pleasant. Also, it's a great location (except men, be prepared for very aggressive hookers on the Las Ramblas right down the street!). Because our room was behind the garden, we had to schlep our bags up and down steps several times to get there. Good exercise. The bad part (and it was really […] pretty bad) was the interminable waiting at the desk, and the harried, overworked and unresponsive staff. If they'd add a couple more desk clerks, it would have been worth the rather high daily rate. But, overall, we would not recommend it. Lisez la suite

"Nice hotel excellent location"
We stayed in the 'out house' building at the back of the garden area. The room was clean and provided free wifi, laptop and LCD tv and comfy bed (firm). The room was a good size and nicely finished though the all white decor was looking a little scuffed in places. The bathroom was nicely finished with a great shower. The hotel staff were very helpful […] and friendly. It was a little noisy at times (not sure how thick the walls are!) but as you are in the centre of a very busy town this is only to be expected and certainly didn't spoil our stay or sleep! It's a 5 minute walk to the main bus area for getting to and from the airport and is only a short distance from the harbour and other bus and train stations so the location was fantastic. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity so although breakfast was not included this was fine because everything was so near (coffee shops etc). The area felt very safe there were plenty of police around all hours of the day and the area was very clean. Would definitely stay here again. My mother and sister had a room in the main hotel and again it was very clean and similar to the room I had (it may be a little quieter in the main building). Lisez la suite
"no towels, bed disappeared"
Literally, a bed disappeared from one of our rooms during the stay. First of all, if you book this hotel because it offers rooms with 3 beds, beware. The rooms are so tiny that there is really no room for a 3rd bed, so they will squeeze it wherever they can. In one of our rooms the bed was positioned in such a way that we could not really get into it […] without jumping. In the other room, they put the bed in room’s corridor, right next to the door. Talk about quiet sleep. But what makes this hotel really exciting is the service. One day, we came back to find out that all the towels were removed from the room. Fascinating discovery after you took a shower. Surely, why should you expect to have towels in a 4-star hotel? On some other occasion, they removed the 3rd bed I already talked about from the room. No advanced warning provided. We came back late to find out that one of the beds has simply vanished. A girl at the reception told us that it was a mistake and suggested to wait to see if she could have it reinstalled for us. After more than an hour of waiting the bed appeared in the corridor next to the room. It was getting really late and we had a plane the next morning, so I had to move this bed from the corridor and install it myself. Some 30 minutes later somebody else appeared and started to ask me why did not I wait from them? Guess what my answer was? Lisez la suite
"Good location but....."
Good location near the Rampla .. Do not expect a four star hotel. The price is fours stars, but not the standard. The rooms are very small and there is no vent from the bathroom. Therefore, there is constantly a sour smell in the room. The cleaning is trying to dampen it with a very perfumed scent spray, which only makes it worse. There is a PC in every […] room, but does not always work. The wireless network did not work either. The reception was not very helpful regarding PC problems. Lisez la suite

"Petit Palace Opera Gardens - Barcelona"
Reasonable priced accomodation and the room was comfortable and well designed to incorporate office space, wardrobe & bathroom. Brilliant location as its half way down Las Ramblas. Friendly staff who were happy to accomodate our requirements i.e. extra pillow, discounted bus tours, etc.
"Petit Palace Boqueria"
Hotel conveniently placed. Only problem was a complicated shower.
"Petite Palace at Barcelona"
It´s nice and modern, i really like it, very close from shopping malls and 30 seconds from the Ramblas, close to Plaza Cataluna, over all it´s real good, WIFI free and if you dont have a laptop, there is one for you for free in your room. Great choice
"Petit Palace Opera Garden - Family Room"
The Family Room we booked was very small for 4 people which in our case was 2 adults, a 12 year old and a 15 year old. The bunk beds were ok once you were on them but little space round them. The top bunk had no guard rail so you just hoped you didn't roll off! We had to have a system where 2 of us went out while the other 2 could have enough room to […] get ready. Downstairs reception area nice, only setback was a Spanish lady pushed to the front of the queue and had a long, loud argument with the young receptionist which we had to stand and wait until she had quite finished! The staff were nice and helpful, it was good value, excellent location if you like the Ramblas although taxis to and from got stuck in awful traffic. Overall it was fine, clean but very compact room. "Check in"
We checked in Sunday evening. Upon arriving at the hotel we joined a long line of people and suitcases. Some of the people were told to go to another hotel because even though they had reservations, there were not enough rooms! We stood in line for 2 hours wondering if our reservation would be honored. It was. The next morning I complained to a person […] at the desk . He said a 2 hour wait was not unusual! We are grateful that we did not need the hotel staff for any thing else. Lisez la suite

"Petit Palace Opera Garden in Barcelona Spain"
This hotel had both good and bad qualities. Good Qualities The hotel was in a good location, right off the Ramble, in the Gothic Quarter. We arrived right off the cruise ship and the hotel stored our luggage until check in time. We had the Family Room…plenty of space for my wife, two kids and I. Bad Qualities Paint peeling in the room. We had […] the orange room. There was mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom. The king size bed was two twins pushed together and the moved separate of each other. No sides on the bunk beds…this could be a problem with small kids. I did not receive my wake-up call, good thing I set my Blackberry, the first call I received was that my cab arrived. This hotel severed it purpose for the night. Finding a room for a family of four in Europe can be difficult. I would not want to spend a week in the Petit Palace Opera Garden Lisez la suite
"Petit Palace Opera Garden - pretty darn good"
Here's the thing. This hotel has got a fantastic location just off La Ramblas. It's not too far from the ships port or the airport. There's a metro close by, a bike rental spot, taxis are plentiful...what's not to like? Each room comes with a lap top and free usage. Having been on a cruise ship for too long, it was a treat to be able to get caught up […] in privacy without paying out the nose to discard 250 junk emails! The hotel has a beautiful patio and garden to hang out in, plus a little restaurant and bar. Oh, and elevators. That's nice when you are traveling with kids and a metric ton of luggage. The front desk staff was very helpful and kept the entrance locked during the wee hours...security bonus. The down side was that our quad room had a really cool shower, with body sprays, only you couldn't really use them because the sprayed the entire bathroom. And bring your own shampoo and soap because they are skimpy. And bring a washcloth, too, because they didn't seem to provide those. The closet was not even worth trying to use since it was sooo small. The beds were beyond uncomfortable. They were mattresses atop laminated cubes. Looked cool, but woke up with a wrenched lower back. While I'm on a rant, I'll say that the walls were very thin. This is a great place to call home base, get cleaned up, stay in touch and catch a few winks. If you are looking to luxuriate, keep looking. Lisez la suite

"Petit Palace Hotel Barcelona"
Everything was great. The only negative was the hardness of the matress, but I was so tired I was able to sleep. Everything wes clean, convenient and the Front Desk was most helpful. I will recommend it to friends.
"Holy Hell Hotel"
What a nightmare!! No morning coffee in the room!! Shower stopped up!! Security a little less than desirable! Find another hotel! Do not stay at this one! Breakfast buffet (if you can call it that) was a bunch of junk food for 11 euro!! Outrageous! Go to Starbucks and get a real breakfast!!
excellent location just metres from la rambla. free wifi was a bonus. Family room had king plus bunk beds. Top bunk had no safety rail which was fine for older kids but would have been an issue for younger ones. Although the hotel has no restaurant there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Nice oasis in midst of bustling city.

"Good location and that's about it..."
The only good thing about the hotel was their location. We booked a family room, but it was a regular room with a king bed and a bunk bed for the kids. The bathroom sink was always clogged during our one week visit. The hotel does not have any restaurants or a bar (they just serve breakfast). The room was too noisy and the AC in the room did not work […] at all...Rooms had free internet but it was slow and did not work most of the times. The internet pictures are deceiving...Not a family friendly hotel... "Great Hotel!!!"
This is a great affordable hotel! The hotel and the room were beautiful. The service was polite and and somewhat helpful. The location was terrific! Right off of Ramblas St, which is the main street in Barcelona. Overall a great hotel.
"Great location"
I loved the location- about 4 doors off of Las Ramblas near Liceau Metro station. Loved the free internet and laptop in the room- I used the connection for my own laptop-- so convenient and free.
The room was not very clean when we check in

"Petit palace Barcelona"
This hotel is in a fanatastic location just of the middle of La Rambla. The hotel was comfortable and clean but overpriced!! The room was spacious and even had a laptop computer to use.
"Clean hotel in middle of Old Town"
Great spot as the headquarters to view Barcelona. Centrally located in the "Old Town", closed to Las Ramblas, yet quiet and clean. Only issue was the bed. We prefer a little less firm mattress, but the overall the room was clean, efficient and good to come to after walking around the city.
"one of the worst"
I travel extensively, 3 to 4 months a year. This hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. They claimed to have WIFI but it was not in existence for our 6 day stay. The room was filthy. The room was so small, the best in the house, that I hit my head on the oversized hanging light that was in the path to the bathroom several times. The web […] pictures show large rooms but the rooms are very small and wornout. The staff did nothing to help. It is a 2 star at best and not the 4 star they claim. Beds so hard it put my arm to sleep. Filthy dark common areas on the guest floors. No air-conditioning even with 75 degree heat outside. No English speaking TV. BEWARE Lisez la suite
"Nice Hotel"
Location was great. Staff were very polite and helpful. Price was a little high for the accomodations. Room was clean, quiet, and fit myself , my wife and two teenagers (although a little snug). Would stay there again.
"Great Location"
The Petit Palace Opera Garden is in a great location for touring Barcelona. Down a small alley from Las Ramblas, you are steps away from the hustle and bustle of humanity. Our children enjoyed strolling up and down the street and seeing all the characters on the street. My son loved the laptop in the room with un limited internet access. The hotel had […] old world charm with all the modern conveniences. Lisez la suite
"Very Good Services in good location"
The front desk person are very nice and help. Speaking English. the location is in center of City and close everything.
"Not what I expected"
The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The shower was poorly designed. The water ran out of the shower area. It was impossible to shower without having all the water run all over the bathroom.

"Bra läge i Barcelona"
"Midt i smørøyet."
Rent, seriøst og god service.Enkel, men grei frokost. Data med nett på rommet, supert! Eneste minus: Vanskelig å få en kopp kaffe utenom frokost. Hadde vært veldig greit med en vannkoker på rommet!
"Petit Palace Boqueria / Petit Palace Opera Garden"

"Superlage!!!"
Ruhige Lage gleich off-Rambla einige Schritte von 'Gran Teatro del Liceu' entfernt. Modern und sympathisch.
