The hotel staff was very pleasant and the room was huge, but a Murphy Bed? I'm tall - 5'10" but my feel hung completely off the bed - the room was SO noisy. I will not be back.

great location, great people, older hotel but clean. great stay for the price

At first we got shocked, you walked into the room there is no pic or nothing on the walls. Chain on the door to the balcony was loose and rusted. Every metal piece was so deteriorated by Mother Nature. TV was working as long you don’t changed channels (it was not good). Staff was friendly, beds clean.

We attended my daughters cheer comp. she wanted to stay "on" the beach. the nightly rate was reasonable... the view from our room was INCREDIBLE! Yes, it is an older hotel, but for its age it is rather well maintained, clean, the staff was very friendly, and breakfast was adequate. The option of heated or not pools was great too. The picture in the on-line photo is far from what you see upon your arrival. It was mediocre at best and overpriced for what you get.

So at first i was on the 2ed floor with little to no water view so i spoke with the staff and they moved me to the 5th floor (much better view)stay floor 3 or higher, rooms were clean ,staff was very friendly breakfest was nice for a freebe,strong wireless conection in every room,looking forward to my stay here next year

The noice level on the 4th floor was terrible. We kept hearing a thumping sound every 5 minutes which kept us awake most of the night. Everything else was good. The hotel was neat and clean but please change the painting on the exterior. Whoever picked out lime green and yellow, don't know what they were thinking. I love the kitchen and the fridge. […] We were able to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner and save on going out to eat. Great location, I love that Winn Dixie and dollar store being across the street. The hotel did not look anything like the pictures on the website outside the room was alright, but check in was delayed and outside was old and dated!

This place is great for the price if you plan to not be in the room much! The hotel is old and needs to be remodeled in a bad way! The location on the beach is great which is where we spent most of our time. The full kitchen is nice but our door lock was broken and it was taped to the inside of the door with black masking tape! The hotel is old but nicely maintained. Our room was very clean. Beatiful location on the beach. We plan to return.

The El Caribe hotel was very pleasant. Wthe rooms were just like we seen on the photos online. The staff was very kind and helpful. They answered every questions that we had. One thing I did not like about the hotel is that one of the pool was not heated and they advertise that it was and that wa sone of the reasons we chose the hotel.

The hotel does not look like the pictures online what so ever, it was like stepping into the 70s, however great location! Right on the beach! We had the room with the kitchen and half of the dishes in the room were not washed well. Which was pretty nasty, cleaning crew kept up with clean towels but we had to ask for more toilet paper and one day the […] water went out in the whole building and we were not aware of what had happened until we called down to the front office. However, everything else was pretty good for the price... Also if you are going down to Daytona beach for the night life this is not the place for you (a little further down the beach by the boardwalk would be better), if you are looking for a quiet day at the beach for a cheep price than this is a great place for you! The view from this hotel is amazing and was a great price! The rooms were nice and clean and spacious. The appliances could use some updating (stoves, microwaves) as they are really old however very functional. Hotel is situated right on the beach, great location! We loved it!

My family and I stayed at the El Caribe Resort for 3 nights. While the room was 'clean', it did have an older, musty smell to it. It didn't feel fresh due to the smell and the fact that it was very outdated. Overall, for the money, it is an okay place to stay. But when we return to Dayton Beach, we will be finding another hotel.

This hotel is really run down. The room was depressing. We spent very little time there, the two nights we stayed there. Would have left if we had not paid up front.

Wonderful staff. Helped us out in a pinch. We had to switch rooms 4 times but being able to stay in the same hotel was great. They definatly made us feel welcome. Thank you sooooo very much. We will be back for Bike Week 2013!!!!

The room seemed pretty clean. It did have an odd smell, but we turned the a/c off and opened the door to air it out- that helped a lot. The bathroom was tiny and needed to be renovated. The hotel itself is quite large and the pool is nice. The staff was very friendly. If they could renovate the rooms and bathrooms, it could be a really nice place. Fri-Sun stay for Rolex 24 race weekend, no service for towels or room cleaning.

Old Hotel not what we expected. Room smell was real bad. When you pay in advance you are out of luck, we would have changed hotels. Will not stay her again.

Had a really nice view but tons of bugs! But nice price, close to everything and nice view of the beach.

Got a super deal for a five night stay. Room was upgraded to one with a kitchenette plus we had access to an adjoining conference room complete with leather couches and big screen tv. This turned out to be an old hotel and the rooms were not what I expected. The staff were all nice and glad to help in any way. If it were not for paying upfront we would have changed hotels.

My husband and I stayed here on New Years Eve and decided to walk to the area where all the festivities were since we were planning on drinking. BOY was it a long haul, especially on the way back around 2 a.m. As far as the hotel is concerned, the exterior is not appealing at all. The check in office is small, dingy and uninviting. However, the room […] itself was surprisingly nice with the exception of an old dirty carpet. The balcony view was great and the pool area is maintained very well. Great hotel! Enjoyed my stay very clean hotel. Nice Staff, very helpful. Only problem the room I was in was not cell phone friendly had to go outside to use my phone. Other than that everything was good.

We got a good deal for an oceanview room with 2 queen beds and kitchenette. Its perfect for families. Complimentary breakfast only had bagels and doughnuts and rant out by 8:30 even though the breakfast was still 9:30.

Hotel is nicely located and offers ocean-view rooms; however, it is very old and dirty. Breakfast is served every morning, but don't expect much.

This hotel was my boys' favorite - because of the location! It wasn't the most modern, but who cares when you can watch a gorgeous sunrise over the beach from bed and pay as little as we did for the room. This was an excellent bargain and the room was clean. We'd definitely go back again, but for a longer stay.

Well, lets see.... I paid for an OCEAN VIEW, I got one, but I was set WAY back where palm trees blocked EVERYTHING. The room looked old. The microwave was small. (REALLY small) The coffee was horrible. My husband said ,"it's like drinking straight hot water that was inked black." The shower had a vent right above it and my husband was concerned […] that we could be peaked on. And talk about PAPER thin walls! People/kids screaming and running up and down the corridor. SLAMMING DOORS THAT ECHOED AND SHOOK OUR ROOM! O.M.G! Don't get me started on the ,"Continental breakfast" Seriously, plastic wrapped beagles, more optional bad coffee, school lunch milk, single serving cereal bowl. Hello?! Where the frick is the variety hot breakfast?! Who ever DESIGNED the layout of that place, should be fired. Just the way it looks made ABSOLUTELY no sense. And, the dreary weather didn't help either.(cloudy and rainy both days) I know that was out of their control, but still, I want to complain. =0D This set up is more for like spring breakers who won't care as much. The building is very old and the room smells very bad. The carpet is humide and smells not good. I do not recommande this hotel at all!
