Bennington Motor Inn - Bennington

I was simply looking for a sleepable bed the night before a bike race. The room was tidy, comfortable, clean and no weird motel smells. The brass bed made a ringing sound (a loose part), and a strategically placed pillow took care of that. Wifi was weak but worked for most sites. I had a hard time using mapquest, though, assuming the wifi was the issue. […] No frills, but no complaints. If the bed is comfy and you're not worried about cooties, that's all you can ask for at this price! Thumbs up. Lisez la suite

Very dated property with a strange somewhat moldy odor. The beds were hard and the pillows almost non existent. The wireless internet must have been out while we were there or it is an extremely weak signal. We couldn't connect our devices. This motel is the reason we usually stay in a B & B when in Bennington.

Small but clean room, beds were not too comfortable, pillows less so. Biggest problem was the bright porch light that remains on all night, shining through the blinds, you can' tell if it's night or day out.

don't stay here. Stay at the Paradise Inn directly behind the Bennington Motor Inn. The Motor Inn bills themselves as "pet friendly." They only have two dog friendly rooms-one on the first level and one on the second. It was very difficult for my senior dog to climb the stairs to the second level. The inn keeper did not honor my request for the first-level […] room even though I had called ahead and even though that room was NOT occupied for the one night that we stayed there. It was obvious from the owners' reaction to my dog that they are, in fact, afraif of dogs. I should have listened to the advice of a local who recommended the Paradise Inn! Lisez la suite

Everything was ok, but onl;y at the level you would expect from a hotel like this. The hotel and decor are quite old, as are the fixtures and fitting in the room. The room and especially bathroom were small but everything worked and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was a joke and was extremely spartan. I loved this hotel. The rooms charmingly decorated with great care to keep to a colour scheme, right down to the sugar container. The motel is on the main road through Bennington and within easy walking distance of the centre but with easy access to all surrounding attraction both within Bennington and beyond. The hotel is right off the highway within easy travel to anywhere in Bennington. The room was clean and comfortable. The rate was reasonable. I would stay there again.

The room in this small independent was EXTREMELY clean, neat , and well-maintained - in excellent condition, SO much better than in the chains where we've stayed! Location was very convenient to everything in Bennington.

At half the cost of the local chain hotel, this place is a steal! Clean room, strong wireless signal, and walking distance to Old Bennington and good restaurants.

Very convenient and inexpensive. We just stopped for the night to break up a long road trip but found it quite pleasant. It was quiet, clean, and warm. The cable had young child friendly shows when we got in late so we could park the kids while we got settled. The community is nice with lots of tourist opportunities nearby- skiing, hiking... This Inn was one of the highlights of our trip. Pleasant staff, clean, quiet room. Good value for the price. Would definitely recommend it to others.
