L'hotel est très bien situé près du chateau et très proche du centre ville (toute la ville se visite à pied sans problème). Hotel was nice, clean and met our expectations. The bathroom was quite small and there was no tissues, but a minor inconvenience. The roof top bar is lovely.

A great value across from wavel hill. Not on the rynek and the rooms are small, but the location is actually very handy and quiet. The hotel rooms are small, but the value exceeds what most would expect or could be found elsewhere in Krakow.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Hotel Pod Wawelem - and hopefully I'll be back for a 3rd! Excellent location - with a tremendous view of the Castle. (Which I recommend dinner and/or drinks at their rooftop restaurant to enjoy the view!) It's Clean, Air Conditioned and Affordable. The staff is tremendously helpful - and they speak English! Stay somewhere else. I have never had a room this small and this austere except when I spent four days and nights in a monastery. The level of English of the staff was barely adequate. I would not stay here again if the room was free.

I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced, and had good reviews including mention of good location near the castle and river. It is a nice, clean, modern hotel, with friendly professional staff. The hotel is very close to the castle, and river, and I am sure that in Summer it has great views, but the location also means it is on the opposite […] side of town from the train and bus stations, which in Winter means a very long walk in the dark through the snow and fog carrying bags, and it is a long way from the town square which is the middle of the restaurant district. The rooms also have large windows to catch the view, but in Winter this means the heater has trouble keeping the room warm, and I found them a bit cold. Be aware that the cheaper room prices do not include Breakfast. I did not eat at the restaurant, but even in the middle of winter it was full, when many others were empty, which is a good sign. Very convenient for the city. Nice location by the river. Good breakfast and pleasant staff. We had a an enjoyable stay and will definately go back and use this hotel again.

Right next door to Wawel Castle, close walk to Old Town Square. Rooms could use an update. Try to get one with a view of the Wista River. Very helpful front door staff. Good breakfast buffet. Great rooftop terrace offering nice views. For the price, its a good deal. Compared to other major cities.

Stay away from rooms facing the back since the windows don't open and the AC is weak - the rooms can get stuffy and somewhat hot in the summer.

Overall the hotel was in a very good location being situated with a view from Wawel Castle. We arrived on Sunday a taxi cost us 50 Zloty from the station. When we left 2 days later it was around 20 Zloty. Staff were very pleasant with no trouble upon check in what so ever. Room was average size but comftorable. The A/C was pretty crap on the first […] night but after a complaint they seemed to have turned it up on their computer and it worked fine after that. It would be nice to be able to control your own A/C not from the computer @ reception. Comp water every day was a good touch. Breakfast was amazing. So yummy great variety of polish food. The roof has a beer garden / restaurant with an unbelievable view of Wisla river and Wawel castle. Prices are over rated for food and Alcohol but its worth having 1 or 2 drinks up there. This is a very good 3 star hotel. It's location is perfect - we walked everywhere. It's only a 5min walk to the main market square. We paid for a superior room - this gave us a balcony overlooking the river and a bigger room than standard. The breakfast was excellent and the views from the roof terrace were fantastic!! The hotel was very good for what we payed for the time of year,a short stroll to the main square,the hotel overlooks the castle and river,good view from the rooftop terrace,i could not fault it but there again im easily pleased!!

The Pod Wawelem is conveniently located to city center and all the sightseeing lacations in that area. The staff was very friendlly and efficient. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the rofftop restaurant and bar. The view of the Vistula River and the castle were tremendous. The hotel was clean and comfortable /brekfeast was basic but nice.The hotel staff where extremely polite and helpful i would recommend this hotel to anybody /really good value for money.

We found this hotel room to be best place we stayed in in our travel experience. We had booked this hotel in order to avoid the large hotel chain experience. We had some trepitations regarding, what appeared to us as a communist era hotel. However the Hotel Pod Wawel has been extensively restored and the rooms and the service were exceptional. The hotel is a small and modern hotel overlooking the river Wistula in a good location which was quiet at night. The view from the rooftop bar/restaurant area is impressive. The rooms are compact and practical, fresh drinking water was added each day, as well as fresh towels when needed. The bed was a little hard. There was English language TV available […] and friendly helpful staff. The location is very good opposite the Wawel Caslte and very near the old town with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. This hotel is in an excellent location (literally alongside castle, cathederal and river Vistula), and within 5 mins walk to main Kracow centre. The hotel is immaculately clean with friendly, approachable and helpful staff who all speak english. Rooms are clean and modern with free tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary bottled water. Breakfast […] is plentiful and of good quality and the dining areas are pleasant and roomy. This hotel has a brilliant roof terrace with spectacular views of the castle/cathederal and river Vistula. Roof terrace has a small bar that also serves snacks and both are reasonably priced. The hotel arranged for a private taxi to pick us up and drop us off at the airport at a set price of 80 zlotys each way (about £18), the driver was punctual and professional and the service exceptional. Only downside is that at the moment there is building work going on outside of the hotel (new tourist information centre, relaying pavements and landscaping of area which might put some people off), this is obviously a temporary arrangement but it in no way spoilt our stay. Kracow is a beautiful, friendly and safe city with amazing culture and history, Hotel Pod Wawelem enhanced our stay and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Lisez la suite

nice hotel,clean, quiet, breakfast. it would be nicer if the construction work outside is done though. Recommended

Upon arrival unfortunately the reception staff would only speak after you spoke first (the initial good morning had to be prompted).The interior of the hotel and the room is very good. clean and well looked after. We noticed that the bathroom wash basin was cracked and also the tap was loose, we reported this to reception and the porter came and had […] a look ,but said and did nothing. We found out that the manager would not be available until our last day at the hotel. I arranged to meet with the Manager and we discussed the problems whereby he was most apologetic and surprised that we had not been offered another room when we initially pointed out the problem. By way of an apology he asked if we would accept an evening meal and drinks free of charge on our klast night.. first time to krakow and it was fantastic place to visit hotel was brill nice touch with the free drink vouchers..carpet in room a bit dirty and the aircon was a mystery would not knock off so at night very cold. food great off the menu in the evening ..breakfast ok. staff very pleasant.view ; }

Upon arrival we were given free drinks vouchers for the bar from 7-11. Nice touch, didnt expect that. No complaints about the room whatsoever, bathroom was an excellent size aswell. They have a summer roof terrace on the 6th floor, stunning views, great service. Check out is 12 instead of some of the silly 10am checkout times at some hotels. Have […] stayed at another hotel in Karkow for nearly twice the price and this was nearly on par with it. Would definately recommend and will probably be visiting again if the price is right! Eight of us went to Krakow and stayed at this hotel Pod Wawelem The rooms were of a good size clean and modern.the position was perfect. The roof top bar is wonderful looking at the castle and over the river . The distance to the main square is about 10 mins away all easy walking I would say dont hesitate to book this hotel.

Have recently recommended this hotel to a couple we know (who are well travelled - as in they have been to many more destinations than us and are thinking of visiting Krakow . Ideally situated for the centre of Krakow. Opposite the river. Roof top bar with view ideal of evening drinks. Restaurant food was good with free local drinks while we stayed there. Room was small but modern.

Right on the river at the foot of the castle. Roof top patio bar with a beautiful view. Good breakfast. Very close walking distance to the Old Town Square. When I stayed all drinks were free from 6 to 11, you can't beat that.

Great location. Room on the small side but very clean and new. Great roof top terrace for drinks looking out over the river. Short walk to the old town. About a 20 minute walk to the bus and train station.

Hotel przytulny, miła obsługa, dobra lokalizacja, standard odpowiedni do ceny, bardzo dobre śniadanie. Uroku dodaje taras na dachu hotelu. Ładny widok.

Bra hotell med 10 minuters promenad upp till centrumgatorna. Ingen störande ljudvolym från barer eller klubbar vilket var perfekt. Fin utsikt mot floden hade vi från vårt rum med balkong. Det enda lilla negativa var att "välkomstpapperet" var på tyska och inte engelska och att det inte fanns något i kylen. Det kändes som ett lägenhetshotell men det […] var bra. Generellt var att personalen föredrog prata tyska före engelska. Förvånansvärt varmt vatten i duschen i alla fall. Det stod två vattenflaskor på rummet och jag hade förväntat mig en liten lapp om antingen de var gratis eller priset på dem. Nåja, vi är mycket nöjda. Bra frukost. Lisez la suite

Alles o.K. für Übernachtung Geschäftsreise. Bezahlung im Restaurant mit Visa-Card auf Grund eines defekten Kartenlesers nicht möglich. Im Hotel funktionierte alles. Restaurant sehr unflexibel. Letztlich wurde dann doch der Kartenleser des Hotels genutzt.

Hotellets läge kunde inte vara bättre - nära till allt. Bra service och trevlig frukost. Rummet var stort och fint med fantastastisk utsikt över floden och slottet. Det enda minus var att rummet luktade rök och behövde en ordentlig storstädning. Rekommenderar ändå hotellet pga av dess fantastiska läge och trevligt bemötande på hotellet.

det var veldig sentralt til severdigheter.eneste var kirke klokkene som ringte hver time hele døgnet og litt trafikk. det gikk bra var stup trette når kvelden kom

Vi var fornøyde med hotellet, beliggenhet, rolige omgivelser, bra frokost, vannkoker på rommet, og greie men litt harde senger. Kort vei til romantiske elvepromenaden og wavel slottet.

Godt hotel med god beliggenhed tæt på den gågaden dejlig udsigt fra den lækre tagterrasse. Meget lækker morgenbuffet og god service. Eneste minus er at de glemmer at opdatere oplysningerne der ligger på værelserne, så man ikke kan regne med de anførte priser.

Wir waren insgesamt gut zufrieden mit dem Hotel, einzig das Doppelzimmer, das eigentlich ein Zweibettzimmer mit zusammengeschobenen Betten war, war durch diese Veränderung recht klein und ungeschickt eingeräumt.
