"is this a joke"
Rooms are tiny, this hotel gives out ear plugs to sleep if that tells you anything. This is by far the worst courtyard I have ever stayed. We cought a roach the size of a matchbox car next to the bed. Save yourself from this hotel. The only money spent was on the lobby to make you think you are going to have a nice hotel to stay at.
"Very small rooms"
It is comfortable here and the rooms have been updated. Lobby is very updated and nice. However, the bed practically takes up the entire room and the bathrooms are tiny. I stayed on two separate occasions and the rooms were the same. Way small for 2 people. when I traveled alone it was ok but I prefer a bit more room usually. I thought the location […] and price made up for it though. Lisez la suite
"Good price for proximity to Waikiki Beach"
The hotel is close to the main shopping street and Waikiki Beach. The rooms are not soundproof and earplugs are provided because of the street noise at night. The service was helpful and provided useful advice.
"Amazing pool and lobby area..."

"Courtyard Marriot-So So to pretty good"
My wife and I stayed at the Courtyard marriot from Jan 15-19. The location of the hotel was good with a short walk to the beach, shopping, and food. The pool/hot tub area is very nice. They provide complimentary towels and otter pops (random but still fun). Our room was small but nice bed and mini fridge. The shower is small. Our main issue with the […] hotel was the air conditioning and tv in our room. Our air conditioner would fluctuate on it's own even if we set it for the fan to be on all the time. It would shut off on it's own. The staff was great in moving us to another room and giving us a credit. This helped but still..I would have liked to not deal with it at all. The other issue was on the last night....we wanted to rent a movie through pay per view but it had stopped working. It wasn't a big deal but at the same time...our price per room was high enough that everything really should work. I wish they had Wifi in the room and a free shuttle to the airport. My overall rating is a 3. Lisez la suite
"Do not stay on Lewers Street side"
Service and facilities were good. Down point of the stay was our room and the noise from the street it faced. Rooms facing Lewers Street side have noise from a local bar until 3am and then the added bonus of tour bus pick up from 5am. You won't get much sleep.
The Hotel Room was very small and there was no room to move around. There were not enough electrical outlets for my laptop and phone to charge theses items overnight. The service of the Hotel was good but the Hotel itself was not good.
"Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach"
Room with King bed so small that couldn't move around. Pool gets extremely limited sun, loooong walk to the beach. Stay elsewhere.
"Terribly small rooms!"
No kidding, the shower was so small it was like an R.V. shower. The shower head pivots against the wall to enter the stall and then you had to move the shower head around to shower. Lots of street noise on the Waikiki side and a loud air conditioner in both rooms we tried. The bed was very comfortable but only room for a small nightstand on either side […] and maybe 3 feet between the end of the bed and where the T.V. sits on the dresser. The high note was the pleasant & helpful staff. Lisez la suite
"travelling single girl"
i decided to visit Hawaii by myself as a stop over to another u.s destination. I didnt want to pay the huge costs associated with waikiki beach front hotels/resorts, but found this hotel to be 1 block walking distance from the main strip of shops and restaurants as well as the beach. which was excellent value for money. bus stop right out the front […] meant easy access to other shopping centres and tourist type activities. all in all a good experience. only annoying thing was the pool doesn't get any sun during the day. thats it. oh and the restaurant attached to the hotel was terrible. dont even bother with it. "Great beds and fast internet!"
Overall, our stay was excellent. Our room was on the 4th floor on the Kuhio side. We had a lot of street noise. Higher up would have been much better. My sister was on the 17th floor and had an excellent view! The rooms were not very big, but we really appreciated the small fridge and microwave. We were very pleased that the hotel held our luggage from […] check-out until 8:00PM for our red-eye flight home. We would stay here again. Lisez la suite
"Not a Great Place"
I was very disappointed with my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach hotel. When I wen to make the room 1 degree warmer, the air conditioning filled the room with the smell of melted plastic, due to an electrical problem in the room. When I asked to be switched, the front desk staff wanted to down grade my room and when they finally decided […] to give me a different room, I was charged an additional 20 dollars. The second room was filthy. The air conditioner had mold all over it. The bed sheets had a sticky black mold on them, and the bathroom towels had someone else's body hair all over. I am really disappointed in this hotel and finding the entrance took forever. I really recommend choosing another hotel. Lisez la suite

"Great home base"
This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is located in the heart of Waikiki and was within 10-15 minutes walking distance of several area must-sees like the Royal Hawaiian, Hard Rock Cafe, Dukes. It served as a great home base for other Oahu touring with our rental car. Staff was all very friendly and eager to assist, including the front desk staff, […] the concierge, the lobby bartender, the coffee cafe, and the staff of the italian restaurant. Best service came from the valets, who were very efficient despite being understaffed at times. They took the time to inquire about our visit and made suggestions on what to see and do. We enjoyed the coffee, tea and muffins from the coffee cafe - the service was friendly, but painfully slow when you're used to a 4-5 person operation like a Starbucks would have. This place only had two girls working at most, and they were having to not only provide coffee, but were also making time-consuming sandwiches and waffles. I took advantage of the bar on one occassion and found the atmosphere to be tiny, but very social and relaxing. The room we booked was classified as a suite, and we were glad we had the extra room. Hotel rooms in Waikiki are notoriously tiny, and I knew that going in, so for me, the suite gave us a living room space to sort of camp with our luggage, leaving the bedroom a more comfortable place to sleep in. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets and pillows felt very new. The room had a big closet for hanging clothes, which I took advantage of. The bathroom was decent. No raves or raspberries. The higlight of our room was a double balcony (access from both the living room and bedroom) with plenty of space to sit out and enjoy the view. We faced the ocean, and had a partial ocean view near the harbor area which provided some gorgeous cityscape sunsets. The majority of our view was of the hotel across Kuhio Blvd. from us. We had some interesting "people watching" time with looking down at passersby on the street, to Lisez la suite
"GREAT Location"
Good hotel, very impressed with the connectivity you can get to all major attractions in waikiki in minutes without paying the extra cost of a beach front property.
"Marriott Courtyard - Waikiki"
Good price and helpful staff. Clean room and outside noise wasn't an issue even though we were on the 3rd floor in the middle of Waikiki. A/C unit in the room was a little noisy the first night but we got used to it. Overall a good value.
"FIrst Time in Wakiki with Family"
This was the first stop of our 10-day Hawaiian Islands Family Vacation. After a long flight from the states we were excited but exhausted. The staff was great and the message chairs were just what the doctor ordered! The rooms are compact but nice and neat. My girls had a blast--(that includes my wife). And all guys know that happy girls equal happy […] vacation. I recommend this to any family thats not too high maintenance. aloha and mahalo :-) Lisez la suite

"Cheap, Simple, Waikiki..."
Basic services, Clean room, Accommodating staff. Hotel has been remodeled to reflect a cool, modern vibe. Great for those on a budget, or just need a comfortable bed for the night. Wyland paintings on the wall, and highly optimized space. There not much carpet here, I'm not even sure how they got the bed in but it all works. A few notes: 1. Hotel […] 1.5 blocks away from the main strip on a 1-way road. 2. If you have a vehicle it is valet only and $25/night. 3. There is usually only 1 valet on duty, and he is over worked. 4. Make sure your hotel room door is closed behind you, ours would not latch properly. 5. at nearly $5 for a small cappuccino, the cafe in the lobby is by far the most expensive i've ever been a patron at - the smiles make up for it. "Courtyard - not a Marriott"
We spent 4 days in the Courtyard. We are regular guests in the Marriott and had just spent 4 days in the Marriott in the Big Island, a great hotel. However, we were very disappointed by the Courtyard (and Marriott as well). After the airport shuttle had dropped us off at the wrong hotel (Marriott Waikiki -MW), obviously the driver's and not the hotel's […] fault, the staff at the MW did not want to help us to transfer to the Marriott Courtyard because they felt it was a different hotel. We were very disappointed, as we used to be Marriott guests around the world; definitely not the kind of service you would expect. At the Courtyard, we were told that we had been upgraded. However, the room was small, the shower was the smallest we have had during our trip, and most annoyingly it was very loud, because as our room was the first one on the floor, room service used the space outside our room as their base from which they started to clean other rooms. Room service also woke us up at 8:20am one day... I guess it is just one of those stays where everything goes wrong. However, we have stayed in other hotels in Waikiki and they were better value for money. In the Courtyard you spend too much for too little. Lisez la suite
"Courtyard Marriott Waikiki Beach"
Nice rooms (albeit a tad small). Clean and comfortable, just a short walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Overall, we were very satisfied. Of note, there was a distinct lack of accessible electrical outlets in our room, but that's the only complaint.

"Courtyard Marriot -- Waikiki"
Stayed in Hilton Hawaiian Village for 7 days and then the Courtyard Marriot for the remaining 2 days of vacation. Our first room when we checked in was along Kuhio Ave, and you could here every sound of the busy street. Room was small, uncomfortable, and dated. Negotiated to upgrade to the Penthouse. This at least got us away from the sound of the busy […] street and gave us a lot more room. The bedroom and bathroom were still small, but at least updated. I would have expected the comode to have its own little room. The kitchen and huge balcony made up for the small bedroom. Subtle details, such as cords hanging for the surround system like a college bachelour pad, did not give the impression we were in the Penthouse. Our 2 bedroom suite at the Hilton was much nicer. However, the Marriot had better service and were very accomidating to an early check in and late checkout. Caution, the further away from the beach you get, the less classy the neighborhood (ie expect to walk by a couple strip joints when coming back from the beach). Lisez la suite
"Bad room"
One our first stay at this hotel we were given a handicapped room, we did not request this and did not want this. We are seniors, but did not want or need handicapped room. On our second stay we were given a room on the street side, This was extremely noisey I would not recommend a room on the street side to anyone and the room was extremely small.

"Check in very convenient and accommodating"
We arrived earlier than the 3PM check-in time and the staff kindly allocated us another room to allow checking in at 12:30PM which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately the internet was a bit inconsistent in the room as well as the wireless in the lobby which another guest also had the same problem and therefore ruling out issues with my laptop […] . "Quick Business Trip"
Wanted the consistency of Courtyard in Waikiki area. Got it. Small rooms -- very-- but excellent staff. Convenient location.
"Convenient for a short stay"
Good for a short stay after long flight from Florida. Convenient location but noisie street. Ask for a pool side room. Clean, good bed, Marriot quality service
"Cozy place - Lots of Aloha- Can't beat the Price"
We needed 5 rooms last minute and Waikiki was at high occupancy everywhere. We were disappointed not to stay at our usual Prince Hotel and a little nervous of what to expect. We are locals who live on the North Shore. We were pleasantly surprised. Very clean and a nice modern-Aloha feeling. Staff all welcoming and helpful. Loved the room w/ 5 complimentary […] massage chairs and video games. We used it everyday and so did everyone else. Hotel not too crowded. Pool area had a freezer filled w/ complimentary Otter Pops, we thought that was a nice little touch. Breakfast included was good. Bar was nice and the bartenders were great too! We had dinner down stairs at Salpada and it was excellent. Walking distance to all the shops and very safe! Overall experience was great! Loved the Wyland art. We will come again. Lisez la suite

"Courtyard Marriott"
Hotel was excellent, very comfortable, location very convenient and staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
"Good location"
We stayed 4 nights and our room was as booked. It was a corner room so we actually got a view of Honolulu in 2 directions. Located for an easy walk to Waikiki beach (about 1 1/2 blocks). City bus is a good way to get around. We never rented a car and saved money. Parking your rental is expensive. Bus/tour drivers are wonderful. They are filled with […] Hawaii facts and stories and let you the traveler see more, get more out of your trip. Take a shuttle from the airport. Only $30 per couple roundtrip. Taxi cost are much higher. Hotel staff very helpful with any questions. Our room could use a new screen on bathroom window and maybe an adjustment on the door. All rooms have a safe in the closet. Pool area nice, but not overly big, but with the beach so close you really don't need it to be. Loved the trip and the price to stay here is very reasonable for Hawaii standards. Lisez la suite
"Courtyard/Marriott Waikiki-you get what you pay fo"
If you've used Hotels.com before, you know you can get anything at any price. I went cheap on this trip, and my room here proved it as I was given nearly the worst room. I guess they could have put my room over the garbage cans for the 5am pick-up, but instead I got a nice view of the busiest street with non-stop buses all day and night. However the […] room was clean and the bed did its job. Lisez la suite

"Great hotel"
Great service, the staff wss very friendly and went out of their way to help us during our stay. The breakfast was good also. We would recommend this hotel to others going to Honolulu.
"Nice place"
Great location, quiet rooms despite being in such a crowded downtown area, great shopping nearby, tons of restaurants. I'd stay here again.
