Propriétaires accueillants serviables, nous ont servis un excellent petit déjeuner. L’hôtel est situé dans un cadre magnifique, où il fait bon se reposer. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu y revenir en fin de séjour car complet. La localisation éditée par Google Maps était erronée éloignée du lieu nous avons dû faire demi tour en demandant plusieurs fois notre itinéraire.

Hôtel sympathique et calme, très bien situé dans une zone sûre qui permet de visite tout le centre de San José à pied, même le soir. Personnel accueillant et professionnel. Cuisine du restaurant assez quelconque, chambre agréable, spacieuse, de même que la salle de bain. Hôtel un peu vieux style, mériterait un lifting, par exemple une piscine digne de ce nom ou un centre de fitness.

Hotel très accueillant, petit jardin pour le petit déj dont le prix est inclus dans la prix de la nuité. L'accueil peut se faire en fraçais. Hotel de très bon confort, facile d'accès, bien situé.

"Ramada Plaza Herradura San Jose"
Dommage trés belles piscines et extérieurs mais notre chambre en RDC donnait l'impression d'être à la cave: vue sur un mur, les fenêtres ne souvrent pas, mobilier et décoration d'un autre temps , salle de bain à refaire pourtant beaux volumes, toilettes à part ( la lumiére fait un bruit pas possible). ; Mais préférez une chambre donnant sur la piscine […] et en étage qui a au moins une meilleure vue. "Superbe Hotel proche de la ville et aéroport"
Chambre la plus confortable depuis longtemps.. piscine, jacuzii, un restau japonais excellent, et le personnel d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Très bon rapport qualité prix rien à redire.. très bon choix
The bathroom had mold all along the bath tub and the shower would not drain. Overall I was disappointed with my stay based on what I paid.

Every thing was fabulous.
Great place to stay in San Jose, especially if you want to be relatively close to the airport. Lovely hotel. 5 minute walk to a small mall with shopping (not much in Costa Rica), lots of food choices, and a movie theatre. Free shuttle to the airport.
"stopover Ramada"
This hotel is between the international and domestic airports and so is ideal if you have an overnight stop before changing planes. It has a nice pool area to relax in too. It is not near the town centre or sights and although it has a spa, I am not sure that there is enough in the neighbourhood for an extended stay.
"Ramada Herradura - good value"
This has been a great stay for me as I was working in the America Free Zone and this is very convenient to there - walkable if you are adventurous. Across RT 1 is a Mall with an American Food Plaza (like you haven't seen that before ;-(, though I found the restaurant Pers-Mex outside the mall, to be nice. The restaurant Comi (east on RT 1 a short walk) […] was also good. Jose the Bartender knows music and can DJ anything you want. The staff here is very courteous and helpful. Free breakfast is very good with a selection of juices, pastries and breakfast standards. The hotel called cab was very overpriced - use a red cab or even better - there's a bus stop right on the highway in front of the hotel. $1 gets you into downtown San Jose in about 20 minutes (not during rush hour) ($13-15 in a cab back after 10 PM). I recommend meeting Francisco, the gardener, and going on his tour of the orchid nursery and the organic vegetable gardens. It will take anywhere from 15 minutes to as long as you want, (nursery closes at 2). I did not like the Japanese restaurant, the miso was good but expensive. Lisez la suite

"Mediocre Service, Terrible Pools, Good location"
The hotels, and jacuzzis are not heated. We didn't know this going there, and were very disappointed to not really be able to swim or take advantage of the, what we thought were going to be, relaxing jacuzzis. We found several spiders in our room. The first night we arrived very late (around 2AM) and were taken to a room right next to construction, […] thus waking us up early the next day. The manager gave us a free dinner for the inconvenience. The breakfast is OK, but would be better if they actually put out fresh breads/pastries. The country club does not have tennis rackets, and we were very disappointed about this, for we had planned on playing a lot of tennis. Overall, I'd say it's good if you're staying one or two nights, but not for longer than that. The hotel lobby attendants were very rude and condescending (with the exception of one). Lisez la suite

This hotel was absolutely beautiful! I was concerned with never having been to Costa Rica before, but was pleasantly surprised!
"Ramada Plaza Herradura San Jose Costa Rica"
Totally dissapointing stay at the Ramada Plaza Herradura San Jose Costa Rica! The hotel was almost empty middle of June. The pool was dirty and the pool bar closed. The carpeting that lead to our room was filthy and worn out. Our room was situated down the hall from the kitchen - so we could hear and smell the kitchen even late at night. The atmosphere […] was depressing. Later that evening I ordered a "coco-loco" like a pina colada with rum,tequila and vodka- and when I received it there was no alcohol in it. I requested the bartender show me how he made the drink. He claimed there were 3 ounces of liquor in it. I had him pour a drink while I watched - now it tasted like rocket fuel, so no way was there ANYTHING in that first drink -cheaters! The hotel is in decline, even though it appears they are remodeling. Perhaps the upgrades will save it from mediocrity. Lisez la suite

"Average Hotel"
We stayed at the Ramada for the last night of our vacation, in order to be close to the airport for an 11:00 a.m. flight the next morning. In addition to selecting the hotel because of the hourly shuttle to the airport, we also selected it because of the pools. We had no problem with the shuttle so in the main, the hotel served its purpose. However, […] we were a bit disappointed with the pools, so much so that we did not use them. Upon arrival we realized that the pools were incredibly cold and the jacuzzi was situated right next to a crowded eating area, so we used neither. The rooms were average at best. As soon as I arrived in the room I plopped down onto the bed only to jump back up faster than a lightening rod because of a searing pain in the middle of my back. A quick moving, hard pinching bug must have been on the bed and as soon as my skin encroached on his domain he stung or bit multiple times. Ordinarily we would have requested to switch rooms but we were just too tired. Later that night, I found myself wishing that I had requested a different room. Ours was a connecting room and the family in the next room had a small child with a big voice. Between the child and the people moving back and forth in the hallway outside, sleep was interrupted several times that last night. It is important to note, our room was situated directly across from the elevator. If you end up with that room - request another. Finally, the food was average. The highlight of the breakfast buffet was probably the made to order omelet, which is usually standard fair. We made an attempt to eat at the main restaurant the night before, but reconsidered after waiting nearly 20 minutes to place a drink order. The prices are high anyway. Better off grabbing something from the mall across the street. And before you ladies get your hopes up at the mention of the mall across the street, be forewarned. The quality of the merchandise in those stores is not what you would find in most malls. I sa Lisez la suite
"Service was terrible"
I've never written a review in my life but had to this time. The room was ok and it was clean. The pool was unheated and the service in the restaurants was terrible. It brought a whole new meaning to 'Tico Time'. You would wait for 10-15 min just to have someone finally come by and ask if you wanted coffee then if you wanted a refill you had to get […] up and go find someone and ask for more coffee then they would finally show up 10 minutes later to pour your coffee. That was just breakfast we had the lunch buffet that cost us $40.00 and again you couldn't get anything to drink without a long wait. Dinner cost us another $40.00 for two sandwichs and it took 1/2 hr to get the meal, asked for a refill on the soda but never did get it, then had to finally flag someone down to get the check which then took about 15 mins to get. All in all they are charging premium prices and service is lousy. But there is no incentive to provide good service the tip is automatically added into the bill. Will definitely not stay here again. "Cockroaches in the room"
Stayed one night and there was a huge cockroach in the bathroom. Called the front desk and 10 minutes later someone showed up. He was supposed to return later to spray the area but never showed up DO NOT STAY HERE !!
"Well located for San Jose airport"
Good value but important to specify one of the new rooms, and especially poolside. Our first room from which we changed was very small and poorly located.

Every thing was wonderful; the room was huge, the facilities were great and the food was awesome. The staff was always very courteous and helpful. Although I never met Helen Melendez, the reservations specialist, she was the most helpful in making arrangements and changes in our reservations. Very glad that we chose Ramada Inn. "Older than exepected but...."
location, staff and creature comforts of the room made up for it. Can't beat the price and includes breakfast!
"Nice hotel but I'd stay closer to airport"
The service was great, and we were able to walk over to a food court for dinner (don't go there - it's like any mall in the USA...Subway, Church's Chicken, McDonald's, etc. - listen to hotel recommendations). The room was very clean and nicely laid out. My only complaint was the loud air conditioning, but it didn't keep me awake. Their shuttle only […] runs from 6am - 10pm or so. We had a very early flight, so someplace like the Hampton Inn (super-close to the airport) would have been a little more convenient, but they had a cab waiting for us at 4:15 when we needed it, and provided us a boxed breakfast to take with us (and we hadn't expected this). Not worth the price Hotel is charging. Food is not very good. Prices are high. the spa is outrageous in pricing. Will probably opt for another option next year. Hotels.com is fine

"Great Hotel"
We stayed here in passing for 1 night. It was conviniently located close to the airport and they provide free shuttle service. The hotel staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The room was big and confortable. It offers two pools and a big jacuzzi. It is landscaped beautifully and decorated to show Costa Rican Culture.

The hotel was conviniently located near the airport with shuttle service and had very helpful personnel. The room was spacious; we even had a crib brought into the room. They have 2 swimming pools and a large jacuzzi. We were only there in passing (1 night, but it was very nice and confortable considering the price (Aug.).

Me impresionó ver remodelado el hotel, muy bonito, limpio, moderno y sobre todo agradable calidad del personal que atienda, me encanto. Estoy considerando a pesar de estar un poco retirado de mi habitual sector de hospedarme, iniciar a hospedarme en éste hotel en mis proximos viajes de negocio que los hago una semana al mes a dicho país. "Buen hotel"
Buen hotel aunque las instalaciones están un poquito viejas, pero está cuidado, muy limpio y cómodo. Un poco de problemas en la recepción, porque no encotraban una de mis reservaciones, pero se arregló fácilmente y sin problemas.

Отель очень хороший во всех отношениях.Большой,с залами для конференций,с хорошими ресторанами,залом для проведения свадеб и т.д.Завтраки тоже очень достойные,европейского уровня,в отличие от других отелей.Мы ездили по Коста-Рике 2недели.Практически везде в других отелях любого уровня на завтрак одно и то же:яичница,рис с бобами,бекон,сок.кофе,тосты […] с джемом.Слабовато.Минус общий для всех отелей вКоста-Рике:не подогреваемые бассейны.В холодной воде не комфортно,поэтому никто не купается практически.Удобно,что есть бесплатный трансфер в аэропорт и обратно. Buena atención, gente amable . Algo por cambiar, la ubicación del jacuzzi, esta frente al restaurant y ello disminuye la privacidad del disfrute. Las personas desean bañarse pero se cohiben por el público presente.

"A pleasent hotel near airport"
The Ramada Herradura is a large hotel complex with restaurants, swimmingpools, souvenir shop, casino and bar. It also has a fitness room, but with only three cardio-machines this is very small. Service was good and rooms clean although some were slightly run down. Some of the staff at the front desk had a tendency to be very ignorant of my wife although […] she was the one actually ordering the hotel, and her name was on the invoice. This seemed strange. het hotel heeft een perfecte ligging ten op zichte van het vliegveld! Het is een goed hotel om in te beginnen en te eindige met je rondreis. In het hotel zit ook een soort van reisbureautje die je prima kunnen helpen met het regelen van een excursie of huurauto!

"Hotel close to airport and w/Alamo rent-a-car"
We went to this hotel because they had an Alamo on-site. When renting this car in the La Fortuna area the rep told us we could avoid a $50 airport drop-off fee by turning the car into any other location. Wrong. Apparently the Alamo in San Jose consider any Alamo location in the city an "airport" drop-off.
