Hotel pas très bien situé personnel froid, pas chaleureux qui ne fait pas d'effort sur l'anglais (à part le concierge très gentil) sinon je reste dans l'incompréhension totale vis à vis de ce que j'ai payé nuit d'hôtel et entrée au Spa alors qu'il est indiqué que tous les résidents de l'hôtel ont accès au centre de remise en forme !! si quelqu'un pouvait […] m'expliquer ce serait sympa très déçue !! Hotel magnifique sur tous les points, confort, service,accueil, situation et proximité tous près du centre! Nous sommes arrive a 9h et comme je suis enceinte et que j étais fatigue par le voyage la réception a été très compréhensive et nous a donne une chambre tous de suite! le room service est très rapide et le personnel est très agréable accueillant […] et compréhensive. . il est possible de louer des vélos ou scooter dans l'hôtel. Nous avons loue un scooter les personne qui s'occupe de la location sont très gentil accueillant et commerciaux si vous voulez louer un vélo ou un scooter passez par la! Hôtel avec vue superbe et bonne situation par rapport aux départs de croisières ains ique du centre de la ville. Le tram est devant la porte et amene en 10min a dam.

Hotel situé à 15 minutes à pied de la gare. Bon rapport qualité prix avec un bar sympathique pour manger le soir. Un peu bruyant car proche des lignes de train. Deux lignes de tramway à proximité pour aller rapidement en centre ville. Frigo dans les chambres

Très chouette hôtel, proche d'un arrêt de tram - accès rapide au centre ville. Chambre très propre et comfortable. Très bon petit déj. buffet mais service un peu lent et mal organisé. Parking P+R à proximité aussi.

* Situation de l'hotel magnifique (proche centre 10mn à pied, près du port d'embarquement) Quatre étoile à la hauteur de ses étoiles (sauna, restaurant, bar très bien egalement). un hotel bien confortable malgres la distance qui le sépare de la ville

Nous avions choisi cet hôtel car elle était le point De départ de notre croisiere. Nous n'avons pas Été deçus. Chambre très propre, personnel Accueillant et disponible, à proximité de la ville Et de tous les moyens de transport. Pour nous; Amsterdam et Mövenpick font qu'un!!! C'est le deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel.Accueil professionnel; situation de l'hôtel à env. 10 min. du centre à pied (cool sans stress) ou un arrêt de tram.Situation calme; chambre bien insonorisée. Déjeuner-buffet impeccable.Si nous retournons à Amsterdam ce sera le Mövenpick!

This hotel is located ca 15 min walk from central station. The hotel itself is nice, but it is a long distance to walk downtown. You can rent bikes downstairs in the garage which makes it easy to travel around. One negative factor is the elevators (4 of them) which too often let you wait for ages.

Hotel is in good condition and our (executive) room was very large. Unfortunately service wasn’t that good. Room was booked for three persons, but there were towels and bathrobes only for two persons. Third bed was sofa-bed and we had to call to room service to get bedding, pillow and blanket even if they knew there was three of us. Besides that, sofa-bed […] was also very uncomfortable and staff didn't bring there extra-mattress although they promised twice to do that. Room also wasn’t cleaned every day. Breakfast was good, but hotel tried to charge it even if it included our room price and we had to proof them that we have already paid it by showing booking confirmation! Lisez la suite

We had a great stay at the Movenpick Amsterdam and rated the hotel highly for its cleanliness and polite, helpful staff. We were fortunate enough to be given an upgrade which was a good start. We did have an incident over evening dinner when the waitress accidently spilt olive oil over my coat when clearing the table. I felt it would have been wrong […] to make a fuss (the hotel was in still in credit with me due to the upgrade) so I accepted the coat cleaned and returned the next day. The room was clean and well appointed with a very nice coffee maker. Only criticism of the room was the mattresses were a little hard but that I guess is personal preference. The hotel is in a good location one stop on a tram or 10mins walk from the city. Overall happy with the stay and would use Movenpick again. Lisez la suite

Hotel was close to major dam square and centraal station. It is was clean with the great view of the canal. Avoid going there on easter break as it gets super busy.

Could not fault the hotel itself. Staff excellent. Lovely modern room. Great views. Best choice of TV channels I've seen in a hotel! Did not use bar or restaurant. Room has empty fridge rathern than minibar (what I wanted). Plus sofa bed. Only warning is about location which should not come as surprise. The walk to the Central Station is a bit of a […] hike - would say more like 15 mins due to the digging up of the roads near the station and the fact you can see the hotel but need an extra 300m to get to it due to the water. Not good with luggage or in rain. There is public underground car park in front of hotel. Shuttle bus runs every half an hour but only until 7:30pm. Only 7 seats and so you best book it. Tram is quick and easy (runs about every 5-6 mins and takes 5 mins). Buy a day (or multi day) pass from the hotel shop. Only restaurant nearby is the well known floating Sea Palace (Chinese) so unless you eat in hotel you will be going back to the station and then on from there on tram each evening. Hotel popular with cruise vacationers starting/finishing their river cruise so very International clientele. Would definitely stay there again but depends on price as this seems to vary a lot - it does get busy and so rates go up. Lisez la suite

Thoroughly enjoyable, the hotel was excellent, within walking distance of everything you need in the city. Best hotel i've been to in 6 trips including 5 star hotels. Great value and I would be surprised if there is any better 4 star hotels in Amsterdam

Hotel only 10 min walk from city or number 26 tram from central station. Tram stop directly opposite the hotel only 1 stop, staff really friendly and welcoming, would definately stay there again.

Quiet location but only one tram stop from Central Station, food in restaurant better than expected, friendly helpful staff.

Excellent food, very comfortable room with a fantastic view of the port, friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only minor inconvenience is having to book the shuttle bus in advance but it is only 10 minutes walk to the station and both the canal boat and the tram can be got just a few minutes away from the hotel.

the room had a great view of Amsterdam, comfy bed, awesome shower, heated floors, clean, stylish. the only drawback is that if you plan to walk to the city to sightsee its quite a walk, other than that everything else was awesome.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for just a couple of nights, however we were very impressed with the staff and their service. Always happy to help, even providing a free mini-bus to the station should you require it. Stayed for 3 nights in January in a standard room on the 14th floor - great view! Hotel in general was very nice and clean. Service was excellent - very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on the eastern docklands and while it is only about a 15min walk to the central station, you kinda of feel in the middle of nowhere and certainly without the […] charm of old Amsterdam. We ate the breakfast once, which was good, but not worth the 23 Euro it costs. Selection was bit limited. The sauna area was very impressive, while the gym was your standard hotel setup with just a few machines. Entry is free so the spa-credit which hotels.com advertises is misleading. We checked in before the new year eve and on the night of new year eve, wow... we could see fireworks going on above the Amsterdam harbor by just looking out of the window. The only complaint is that the hotel is a bit far from the city center and we had to take shuttle bus. However the hotel shuttle bus only provides 9 seats. We mostly took taxi when […] we went out. We had a lovely time at Movenpick Amsterdam. The hotel is a 10 minute stroll from the city centre but a half hourly shuttle to Amsterdam Central Station was an added bonus. The gym facilities and the sauna (which was free) was great. The overall experience was great but my only issue was heating. We had a few cold nights but there seemed no way of […] turning any sort of heating on. We moved to this hotel after being dissapointed at another hotel in Amsterdam. It was clean, the staff were professional and it is well located to the train station and downtown area.

Hotel is quite new, very clean and a few minutes only by tram from the central station. The area is very calm. Thanks to the concierge Paul who was very helpful with helping us book some tours. I will return there for sure, during my next trip to Amsterdam !

Stayed at the Movenpick from the 27th until the 30th of August 2011. The hotel is right on the harbor adjacent to the cruise ship terminal and our room on the 14th floor offered some magnificent views of the city and central station. The walk to the station is about 10 mins but there is a tram stop right outside. Staff were very helpful and friendly. […] Make sure you make use of the sauna and spa area... there was hardly anyone there which shocked me in a hotel of 400 rooms (but a good thing of course)! We had a great stay at this hotel. Great view from the 14th floor, clean room, friendly staff. We didnt have breakfast as it was €23 each, we just got something in the city. Bikes for rent in the carpark below the hotel....great way to get around and see the city, a must!!

My Family & myself really we enjoyed our stay in Movenpick Amsterdam . The room was confortable, clean ,I like the view from my room .The open buffet breakfast is supperb. The quality of service is excellent

Would recommend this hotel - Room was perfect - Not in the best location so is much cheaper but they have a 5 min shuttle to central station and therefore this is not a problem.

The Moevinpick is away from the hustle and bustle of the canal belt, but it's easy to get there from the hotel, with two tram stops nearby. Great hotel, with fantatsic views over the Amsterdam skyline. Moevenpick is located walking distance from the city centre with a frequent tram service just across the road making it handy for all the city sights without being touristy. We'd definitely stay here again.
