Hôtel-appartements très sympa, spacieux, très bien avec 2 enfants, service de chambres super, un peu excentré du centre mais très bien qualité/prix, hôtel très exposé au vent, carte de l'emplacement de l'hotel à revoir car pas facile à trouver, ne pas confondre Marine Drive avec Marine Road à Sea Point, hôtel après Container road.

Lagoon beach hotel au Cap à 10minutes du centre en voiture. Vue imprenable sur Robben island. La piscine donne directement sur la plage. Le personnel est vraiment aux petits soins.Les chambres sont spacieuses. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Bref, un séjour très agréable qu'on aurait aimé prolonger. Seul bémol: donner une adresse plus précise car Lagoon beach […] drive n'est pas répertorié dans la liste des rues du plan du Cap. J'ai dû leur téléphoner pour qu'ils m'expliquent comment m'y rendre avec notre voiture de location. Personnel acceuillant. Comfort et agréable avec des enfants. 10 minutes en voiture du centre.

The hotel has beautiful views, but is very isolated. It would be virtually impossible to self cater in the apartments as there are no shops or amenities within reasonable distance. The internal furnishing is old and grubby, and outside furniture virtually non-existant. There is NO air conditioning! The staff are unhelpful and have a couldn't care less […] attitude. They failed to pass on important messages and couldn't keep track of accounts. The computer system seemed constantly faulty causing huge delays. Really geared to conference usage as the (only) restaurant was often closed to all other residents. Lisez la suite

Great view of the city of Capetown as well as Table Mountain! The hotel is a little out of the city which we preferred but only took 5 minutes to drive to the V&A waterfront and is convenient to all the major highways in Capetown. Great restaurants at the hotel and the staff were all friendly and accommodating to our needs. If I ever stay there again […] I would be sure to request and pay for the Ocean View room, it would be worth the extra money. Lisez la suite

The location of the hotel is fantastic- right on the beach with a spectacular view of Table Mountain. However the hotel does not offer true 4 star quality and service. One gets the idea that the hotel is poorly managed especially housekeeping and the pool/bar area (The worst service you can imagine). In contrast the service in the breakfast room is […] very good. Some reception staff provides excellent service while others are poor. This is a hotel with a lot of inconsistencies. The hotel's location is absolutely suberb, both in respect of the amazing views of Cape Town and access to the beach. Although there are doubtless hotels of a higher quality in the city, we were very satisfied, have no complaints and found he hotel excellent value for money. If you want a truly beautiful view of Table mountain and the sound of the ocean - this is the place for you. I do however want to point out some of the bad points of Lagoon Beach hotel. We stayed there for a week recently (21st to the 28th of November) and the following is based on this stay. 1. The staff in the hotel are very pleasant, the service […] at times can be a little less than satisfactory. On two seperate occasions our room was cleaned but they left us no towels. We rang reception and it took approx 1.5 hours on the 1st occasions to get towels. The 2nd occasion was a lot quicker but we were told the reason we were left no towels 'is they were all in the laundry room'. I find it hard to believe that a 4 star hotel can be so short on towels. 2. The Guest book - The list of services listed in the guest book in the room is out of date. Example here - it states if you want to change foreign exchange just go to reception, so we did. They told us they do not do this anymore and have not for sometime. It states the gym is open 24 hours a day. It is not, it is open from 8am-8pm. You might get an electric zap out of the running machine, which also has a habbit of going dead while you are on it! They give you a key for this and 9 times out of 10 it will not work when you get up. We later found out that the keys cut for the gym only work when programmed from a different office and not reception. 3. The SPA - The brochure in the room is out of date and the prices are more expensive. On the 2nd last day we decided to use the spa. My wife had a hot stone massage and I had a deep tissue massage. Both of these treatments were quoted as 510 rand in the brochure in the room. The SPA charged us 550 rand each. When we questioned this, the therapist told us this is the price and that is that. 4. Communication - the staff as I mentioned are really nice people for the best part but the communication is a problem. We requested a late check out on the last day as we were catching Lisez la suite

Great hotel and good service. The only thing is that it is a bit of a drive to Cape Town centre. Although there is a shuttle bus to the Waterfront, it only leaves at certain times (once in the evening), and it might be full, so you cant get on it, if you have not booked and had a confirmed seat. The apartment was comfortable and clean and well serviced. The position was ideal - close to all that cape Towm has to offer and right on the beach. Our sea view was amazing! The only negatives 1) were security onto the beach - maybe you should have to use your room key for access rather than the door being open? As a family with two children below 10 we wanted a either a one bed or two bedroom apartment where we could all be togther and chose to stayed Lagoon Beach Hotel Apartments during August '11 after the site offered very cheap rates for a few days stay - we were really satisfied and came back for a second stay. We had a two bed apartment with a good […] sized living room and kitchen with cooker, microwave , full utensils and a view of the sea. Bedrooms and living rooms had heaters. The rooms were modern and spacious and generally quite clean although the curtains and carpets could have done with a wash but for the price we are not complaining. If you stay here you'll need a car to get into the centre of Cape Town (about 9km away). There is free parking in a multilevel covered car park with 24 hour security. Whilst in the Apartments you have full access to the facilities of the hotel with 3 pools , a spar (additional cost) and gym. The grounds were good and the beach nice although a lot of litter about Good value for money and we would stay again Lisez la suite

the genral stay was great, service was up to standard, hence i went back. the reason for my stay was because it was my birthday on the 21 May. Initially, i had conversed this with them, indicating that i would have visitors of a certain number and that it would be a noisy night. this was to acetain their point of view/rules against such celebration. […] There were no distutes of me having my birthday or my visitor or the amount of noise i mentioned. But on the night, long before 11pm the hotel security kept on coming to my room insisting it was against the rules to have such celebrations. I was inconvenienced, my guests were inconvenienced... the night did not turn out to be too sour, but i personally was damaged. i mean, i had been there before, in August 2010, for the same reason but for a friend of mine, that is why goin back for my birthday was an option. Had i known that that was the kind of treatment i was to expect, i would not have wasted my money booking there!!!! Lisez la suite

hotel is right on lagoon beach, nice location. has a shuttle to VnA waterfron, so it's ok even with no car. service was slow to check in though, otherwise ok.

A good friendly Hotel, underground parking with lift access, staff very helpful.

Fantastic hotel with great staff, especially Michell in the bar, looked after us all the time we were there. Stayed here 5 nights, then 2 more nights at the end of our 18 day holiday. Hotel was neat clean and though located on the beach away from most attractions shuttle service to tourist attraxtions were available. Staf was extremely engaging and friendly! enjoyed my stay though more of a couples and fsmily enviorment.

Service at the hotel was excruciatingly slow and condescending, if it happened at all. First, know before you book that the apartments do not have air conditioning (and the windows cannot be propped open) and the wireless doesn't work and cell phone signal is essentially zero. In addition, the person at the switchboard was incapable of connecting outside […] calls. While things may be better in the hotel side, the apartment side is completely disregarded. The staff was not only not apologetic, they were obnoxious. On arrival, we discovered that our door did not lock. The safety locks had been removed, apparently from all doors, and someone must have previously tried to get into the apartment with a crowbar, because the door jam was all but destroyed. It took multiple calls to get towels, toilet paper and a "do not disburb" sign, which, when it did arrive, was broken and wouldn't stay on the doorknob (I folded it in half and stuck it in the door.) The apartments have windows which look onto the hallway, and the lights are kept on all night and the venetian blinds on the windows don't block the light. So, between that and no air conditioning, it was impossible to sleep. The shower leaked and the drains were clogged and slow to drain. There were no outlets that weren't being used for lights. The maid broke the French Press and left it that way for us. Finally, to add insult to injury, I saw a mouse streak across the kitchen floor the final night. Be forewarned - do not stay in the apartments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lisez la suite

This hotel only gets two stars because it is actually a nice hotel. However, the service we received was absolutely terrible. We checked in on the later side (around 5 pm) and after taking about 20 minutes to find our reservation, we were directed to a room with two single beds (we were traveling as a couple and had requested a king). We went back to […] the front desk and they told us to wait in the single bed room until they prepared a room with a king bed for us. 30 minutes later a staff person came in and asked us what we were doing in there, saying that we needed to leave because someone else was checking into this room. She moved us from this room and tried to figure out where we were supposed to be- another 20 minutes. Finally they brought us to a room with a king bed, where the maid was still cleaning and spraying air freshener since the room smelled like smoke. Another 20 minutes before we got a key to the room. Terrible service! The hotel itself is nice and comfortable. It's on the far end from most of the things you'll probably want to do in Capetown. The beach is beautiful but the beaches in that area are too windy to really enjoy, unless you are a windsurfer or want to do something of that sort. The bar was nice and the Thai restaurant next door is very good. The room was comfortable but loud, considering that it is not in a busy location. We were on the ground floor and if you stay here you should request to be on a higher level. We were leaving early the next day and requested a wake up call, which we never received. About an hour after our requested wake up call, however, someone came banging on the door to inquire as to when we would be checking out (2 hours before check out time). Overall, not the pleasant stay I was hoping for, especially for the price. We booked this to have a quiet relaxing night in a nice hotel before leaving Cape Town, and this is certainly not the place for that! Lisez la suite

As a frequent business traveller I'm used to stay at a specific hotel which last time round was fully booked and subsequently had to look for another place to stay. What a pleasant surprise, as the hotel and the rooms are absolutely of a high standard with well trained staff that friendly assist to your needs. Another important principal is the location […] of the hotel as it is close centred with easy access to all surroundings neighbourhoods including the airport. You’ll definitely see me again. we paid an extra $20 or so for an ocean view room, and it was worth it. The view at sunset is spectacular. The hotel was everything I had hoped -- only disappointment was we had to call for more towels when only one large bath towel was in bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Three of us stayed in a third floor, two bedroom apartment rather than the hotel and all I can say is that we were highly impressed. The apartment was spotlessly clean, had plenty of room and included a modern flat screen tv, dvd and cd player and had a fabulous view. The kitchen had everything you need including a dishwasher and microwave. Surrounded […] by mainly privately owned apartments it was also quiet. Excellent value for money. We had a few minor medical issues and whilst staff always had to go away and check things (rather than knowing answers immediately) someone always came back to us and helped us out (including getting some imodium from town for us!). About 20 minute drive from the V&A and 30 mins from airport and table mountain, just out of the way enought to get some peace but close enough to all the action. Great location. Lisez la suite

We stayed here for six nights recently and found it to be an excellent location for sightseeing in and around Cape Town, with fabulous views of Table Mountain. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our […] apartment had a great view of the beach and was protected from the wind by another part of the building, which was a bonus as the "Cape Doctor" which blows through Cape Town in the summer is quite strong. I would advise caution to anyone eating in the Thai restaurant on the northern side of the hotel. Our 7 year old had severe bacterial infection not long after eating there, which the doctors think was food poisoning. I would emphasise that we have no proof that the restaurant was the cause, but it was the only time we can think of when she ate something different to the rest of the family. Lisez la suite

We had a very pleasant stay - very comfortable room, clean. Only problem was that the lip at the base of the shower to stop water running onto the floor was missing. We did report it but it was not repaired by the time we left. The restaurant breakfasts included in the price were of good value. We did use the patio pub/restaurant - stunnning location, […] views and food/service was very good. We will be makiing use of this hotel in the future - its a very convienient location for travel in and around Cape Town and is situated on the beach with the most stunning view of the city, harbour and Table Mountain. Das Frühstückbuffet war minimal für ein 4-Stern Hotel..

Muuten kaikki meni loistavasti, mutta hotellin yhteydessä toimivalla retkien yms järjestäjällä on hiottavaa asioiden järjestämisessä. Aamupalalla saisi myös olla vähän vaihtelua. Suosittelen muuten, romanttinen paikka.

Zimmer im Rückteil des Gebäudes (159) etwas laut durch Nähe des Highways; Ausblick nicht attraktiv; es lohnt sich Meerblick oder seitlichen Meerblick zu buchen; Rezeption nicht sehr professionell beim Check-In.

Da la impresion que el mantenimiento del hotel en general y de los apartamentos no es del todo eficiente, en un par de anos si no lo revierten, su estado no sera recomendable; la falta de internet wi fi en los apartamentos es de mencionar. Estando alojado en un apartamento, desde el front desk me vendieron tiempo prepago de internet y cuando lo fui […] a utilizar, no funcionaba; ante mi reclamo, me dijeron que para mi apartamento no servia ese prepago, que lo tendria que comprar en el otro front desk, se referian al de los apartamentos (hay 2 front desk) pero nadie lo habia advertido y menos coordinado entre ellos, deficiente. Y el precio del desayuno por demas excesivo (2 adultos y 1 menor U$ 50 total, luce desproporcionado). La atencion podria ser mas esmerada. Lisez la suite

Ble vel tatt i mot,fikk hjelp med bagasje. Fikk tildelt rom i 1.etg.rett ovenfor en restaurant,der holdt vi ut i 3-4 netter.Fikk ikke sove p.g.a mye støy fra restauranten.Fikk nytt rom uten noen problemer med det.Savnet air cond på rommet. Ellers var alt bra.

Der Blick auf Kapstadt ist einzigartig. Lediglich der starke Wind trübt die Freude etwas. Der Sand am Strand ist einfach weggeweht. Außer am frühem Morgen kann man kaum an den Strand gehen, außer man erwischt einen der wenigen windarmen Tage. Ähnlich verhält es sich mit dem Pool. Am späten Nachmittag wird man auch dort einfach weggeweht.. Baden im Meer […] ist schwierig, da die Wassertemperatur im Sommer nur im Bereich von 12 bis 14 °C bei einer Lufttemperatur von über 30°C liegt. Die Zimmer zum Strand sind zwar groß aber auch schon etwas abgewohnt. Die Zimmer zur Seite sind besser, haben aber keinen Balkon und keinen direkten Blick auf Kapstadt. Das Frühstück ist nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr steril. Wenn gleichzeitig mehrere Busse mit Touristen abfahren, wird es beim Frühstück eng sowohl was die Plätze angeht als auch das Angebot. Die Hotelbar ist OK, wenn auch das Personal nicht das Schnellste ist. Wenn man durstig und hungrig ist, holt man sich am Besten die Karte selbst von der Bar und bestellt bei dieser Gelegenheit auch gleich das Getränk. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr hilfsbereit. Der Service der Zimmer war OK, wenn auch einmal vergessen wurde, neue Handtücher auf das Zimmer zu tun. Lisez la suite

Vi avslutade vår månadslånga Sydafrikaresa på detta fantastiska hotell. Fem minuters bilkörning från Kapstaden gör att man bor tryggt och har en underbar utsikt över staden - med Table Mountain som bakgrund. Polen ligger ner mot vattnet och vi avslutade våra kvällar i solstolarna och beundrade skådespelet när solen sakta gick ner och försvann bortom […] havet. Priceless. Lisez la suite
