The Hotel room was comfortable and the hotel is very conveniently located in the Old City. I was able to visit most of the must-see sites in Riga within three hours of walking. Everything is a 5-10 minute walk away, and a shopping mall is close by. My two issues with the hotel: no WiFi in the rooms, and the breakfast spread was limited.

Great hotell in a super location in the old town on a quiet street and still close to everything. Across the street is a nice new indoor shopping centre. The hotells restaurant served the best food we had in our stay in Riga and we tried a few. The dining room lacks a nice atmosphere but that's the only flaw this hotell has in my opinion. The hotel in it self is a very stylish and modern one, and the staff very service-minded and helpful, but what it was lacking was a dresser and pullout shelves in the rooms. There were no drawers anywhere, just a big closet with open shelves. No drawers=big draw back ;) Also the corruption rather shocked us. We made an appointment with the nice taxidriver […] who drove us to the hotel to come pick us up when we were going to leave. The hotel apparently didn't like this and when we went down to the lobby for check out we were hurriedly shown to our taxi. We didn't think much of it until the taxidriver we've made the appointment with called us when we were at the airport. Only then did we understand that the hotel had arranged for a taxi on their own. That was very dissapointing, and ruined a otherwise perfect impression of the place. Lisez la suite

Problem was only one of expecting a four star hotel but finding myself in a very decent but only a three star product. Towels, soaps etc, where all three star quality as was the bedding and room. Big negative is no wifi in rooms, which means all iPad users can only access Internet from the lobby. On the plus side, staff is great, lobby bar very comfortable […] and location is excellent. Price was right, so once over my level of expectations stay was fine. But with out wifi in the rooms I will not be back. Lisez la suite

short walk from the station as we arrived by train very pleased with the hotel and room,evening meal was excelent.location superb for exploring the old city.staff were very courtiouse and helpful but could have been freindlier.

We were there with 2 children. Hotel tried to charge extra bed even we haven't had any extra bed. Seems that we were only family there. In the breakfast was only adults. Room was clean and as I have read from other comments too, the bed was very noisy.

Perfect location and the right place. It is in Old Town and tucked away nicely to be out of the super high traffic areas. There is a grocery store nearby along with the Opera and a mall. The breakfast is decent, but if you are expecting sausages from the United States -- you'll be disappointed to see cocktail weiners. Would stay again in a heart […] beat. Lisez la suite

Lovely hotel. Very nice service. Great room: comfortable, clean, beautiful restoration, all the amenities. Nice breakfast with real coffee. Perfect location: close to all the sights and great restaurants, but quiet at night.

Convenient location, staff very nice, almost full English breakfast, rooms a bit spare and tired. Be wary at check-in as I was told the hotel was overbooked because someone had gotten sick and couldn't leave and that I had a room at a nearby hotel, which turned out to be a dump (Motel 6 wouldn't claim it), no elevator, really bad room,etc. I refused […] and was given a room at original hotel. I suspect this is a scam to divert people to a hotel that few would choose, especially at the rate hotels,com charges for the room. It was about double the posted rack rate at this hotel. When I refused the other hotel I was given my room without further problem and the clerk said she would get the next person checking in to change to the other hotel. My bet the other hotel is owned by the same person, because there were better hotels nearer that I would have accepted had any been offerred instead of the one down the dark street with the stink of smoke in the worn out lobbly. I do not recommend this hotel because of this incident, and because there are many hotels nearby that are equal or better than this one. Riga is a beautiful city (my second time there) and the music and beer gardens are wonderful. Lisez la suite

The Hotel is well located in a quiet street the airport transfer bus to Riga hotels stops at the Viesnicki Hotel 50 metres away so easy to get to and from the airport. The economy rooms do not have aircon but a noisy fan so if its very hot you might want to upgrade to one of the very smart air conditioned rooms in the main building they are a bit characterless, […] could be a business room anywhere in the world and small but very comfortable. We always look for hotels nearby the heart of a city, and this time we succeeded again. We had a lovely stay and the breakfast was very good

Lovely hotel central location very friendly staff. Would benefit from softer and bigger towels but would use this hotel again and would recommend.

This was the 4th time I've stayed here.. This time they had me in the old part of the hotel and I wouldn't recommend it. The first room I was in, #34 was TERRIBLE.. it hadn't been updated, the bed was awful, the bathroom smelled like a sewer. They finally switched my room to #24, and it was better. At least it didn't have wallpaper from the 1970s in […] it, and the bathroom didn't stink. I also didn't have internet in my room for the first 2 days. The staff is excellent and the food in the restaurant is very good too. The location is great.. Just make sure you get a room in the NEW part or ask them if the room has been re-habbed! The location is ten star plus. It is in the heart of everything, an easy walk to any where (park, mall, old shops, restaurants,Opera house,etc). The service is amazing. They make the stay especially warm and inviting. The restaurant in the hotel has long hours to order whatever you could desire. We choose to eat at the hotel rather than local restaurants […] because the price and exceptional food. We kept joking we wanted to bring the chef back to America with us. No question, after three visits to Riga, this hotel was supreme. We will stay there again. Lisez la suite

Great hotel. Awesome lobby and bar. Didn't try the breakfast but I heard it's good. Only wired internet on the room, no Wifi. Friendly staff. I recommend it.

First of all great location . Friendly staff .Nice,cozy rooms but a bit on a small side. Overall great experience would defiantly recommend.

Lovely hotel, nice staff, breakfast and service. Room nicely (702) finished but hotel air/con heating whirred all night and nothing could be done, maybe a different room would solve.

This was a great hotel and at the price we paid (about half the rate advertised on the hotel website) was excellent value. The hotel is right in the centre of the old town, so very easy to get to all the sights, bars and restaurants. But it's not right next to any of the bars or clubs so the street noise wasn't too bad. Our room was a superior double, […] it was in the new part of the hotel and was very modern and clean. The room was a good size and the bed very comfy. The bathroom was a little small considering it was a 'superior' room, but it was perfectly adequate. The only big problem with the hotel is that they only give one room card key per double/twin. Unfortunately our room was between two rooms with boys from a stag do. They obviously came home at different times, so the second person home in each room had to bang on the door to get their room mate up to let them in. We therefore got woken up twice each night between 3am and 8am, with a long period of banging on the doors. Lisez la suite

This is a fabulous hotel! It has successfully incorporated modern fittings and comfort with the traditional features of the building. Location is perfect. Airport Shuttle bus drops you about 50 metres from the hotel which is perfect when you arrive in an unfamiliar city. Shopping Centre with supermarket is across the street and the hotel is right in […] the Old City, close to everything you would want to see or visit. Breakfast was excellent. As you would expect from a boutique hotel the rooms are quite small. However it is very well-maintained and we loved the exposed brick walls which gave it a real old-town feel. It's very central and Riga old town is so small that you can do a lap in about 15 minutes. The hotel is opposite a shopping centre too for those who like retail therapy and the […] hotel's own restaurant had a delivious menu, although we weren't there long enough to sample it or the happy hour cocktails, sadly! I would definitely go back and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Pay a little bit extra and stay in the centre of the old town, you won't be dissapointed! Lisez la suite

The airport shuttle bus (the yellow taxis) drop-off point is roughly 20m from the hotel's front door. The hotel is situated in Riga's old town, on a cobbled street right across the main road from the Opera Hall. We were there midweek and our room faced onto Teatra Street which was very quiet. The hotel is situated in a great location and is just around […] the corner from a new up-market shopping centre, which has a small supermarket. We opted for the superior room, which was great. The beds were really comfortable, and the room was clean. The superior room we were in did appear just like the ones on the hotel's website. The hotel's breakfast was good, offering both a continental or cooked breakfast and there was no limit to the amount or what you could have. The hotel has a bar which is open to residents and non-residents, it is a nice bar and generally quite quiet, and used by residents as I believe it is a bit more expensive than most of the regular bars in the surrounding area. Great service and very clean. Conveniently located in Old City but still quiet enough to relax. Next to a shopping centre/supermarket. Taxi was about 10-15 Lats from Airport. You can walk to all the sights in Riga (old town, central market, art nouveau district etc). Also walkable distance to bus stop for the free bus to LIDO restaurant, which is a […] must visit in Riga to try out the local food in cafeteria style surroundings. Came with great buffet breakfast with hot and cold food. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommended and will go back to stay there if ever in town again... Lisez la suite

Great position in quite side street but in easy walking distance of city centre. Clean, quiet, incredibly helpful staff, good breakfast, free net access in lobby.......best hotel I have stayed in for a long time

Hyggelig betjening, god frokost, god anbefaling og hjelp i forbindelse med SPA bestilling. Rent og pent. Så for oss temmelig nytt ut. Svært sentral beliggenhet i gamlebyen. Vi var veldig fornøyd.
