"Lancaster Arts Hotel, Lancaster PA"
Lovely clean room, with the most comfortable queen-sized beds, plenty of room and light. Hallway had musty smell, but bedrooms were fresh. Usual continental breakfast. Location is not quite downtown, but an easy walk. Be careful of brick and cobblestone walkways; one of our party went tumbling down while we were walking and talking. Lots of galleries […] on the way to town. Highly recommend the Prince Street Cafe, within walking distance, across from the Fulton Theater. We ate breakfast and lunch there. Great food; cheap prices. We are all looking forward to heading back for another visit, and staying at the Lancaster Arts Hotel! Lisez la suite

"Best place to stay in Lancaster County"
This is my absolute favorite hotel anywhere. A great atmosphere, just a wonderfully unique hotel like none Ive ever seen. Red rose on the pillow, chocolates, comfy cotton bathrobes, and sketch books in each room that you can leave your drawings behind in. Just a great place and HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!!!
"The Lancaster Arts Hotel in PA"
Simply fabulous!
"Nuce boutique hotel in Lancaster"
LAH is a nice boutiquie hotel in Lancasater and a great alternative to the chains like Marriott and Holiday Inn. All the rooms are unique and the hotel is in great condition. The bar and restaurant and very nice but its also right next door to to two other restaurants. My only negative was that (in my room at least) we could hear a lot of surrionding […] noise, so assume others could also hear us. And its not right downtown, but walkable in good weather. Outstanding!!!
"Perfect for me!"
I picked this hotel because it had very good reviews and had most of the things I was looking for. It is a great location in the city. It is easy and safe to walk in any direction. The next time I will take advantage of the bikes that are available. Most of all, it was quiet and very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.
"cold in lancaster"
the first room we were assigned was cold. after a cold night we were moved to a better room. this was better but, really all that comfortable.
"Lancaster Arts Hotel as a whole."
An interesting hotel, absolutely, the staff is attentive, and overall knowledgable about the hotel building's history. The history is absolutely fascinating. The hotel restaurant is not to be missed if you prefer creative and healthy choices, with a cozy atmosphere. The drinks at the bar were all top quality, and mixed as we expected. The free breakfast […] bar was a nice mix for all tastes, and I thought the attending staff was great. The hotel offers no gym, however, a YMCA pass is available. Not being a Y guy I was disappointed. The quality of the carpentry and plumbing taking into consideration the original building was poor. The shower head was plugged and not able to be directed, the sink faucets were temperamental, and the toilet would not stop running without a jiggle on the handle. However, the basics of the water being hot, and the shower being clean were there. If you use the parking garage, do not allow yourself to be distracted backing out of your parking slip, every second or third slip will have support pillar that will disappear from your rear view mirror when your are backing up. The location could not be better, we walked most of the time, and could drive easily to everything we were interested in. The hotel commands it price because the demand is there. Your first visit, find an off peak time, stay a night then decide if you are willing to pay top dollar. The staff earned our tips. The complimentary breakfast staff, and the housekeeping staff deserve recognition. We enjoyed our stay, and would not hesitate to recommend it to someone for at least one visit, but, we will try something else, and come for dinner and drinks. Lisez la suite

"Arts Hotel"
We enjoyed ourselves, but the staff especially the John J. Jeffries staff (restuarant located in hotel) was extremely snobby!!

"Great Stay!!"
Was in town with my fiancé seeing Sight and Sound and did a lot of looking online trying to find a memorable hotel to stay at since it was part of her Christmas present and the Lancaster Arts Hotel was great! When we got there, the Loft Suite we were supposed to stay in was under maintenance so the front desk upgraded our room to an Arts Suite, very […] nice room!! Great staff.. Very accomodating! If I had to say anything bad... It would be that you could hear the people in the room above you walking around and stuff and that the heater in our room didn't work very well, but other than that.. It was great! Recommendation: Stay in the Loft Suites since its on the 5th floor to minimize any noise and you'll be straight! Great Stay! Lisez la suite
"Another Great Stay at the Lancaster Arts Hotel"
Room was great, one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on- had a great night's sleep. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Hotel restaurant for dinner was great- local and organic foods. Would return for another stay.

"Lancaster Arts - a true pleasure"
Three of us were in town for a professional conference. A few months prior I saw a profile of the Lancaster Arts Hotel in Budget Travel Magazine and was intrigued. I am thrilled that we decided to stay there. The hotel is beautifully renovated. It is full of character. The service is excellent. Be sure to eat in the on site restaurant, it is delicious […] (shrimp and mushroom risotto is excellent). The house Malbec and Sauvingnon Blanc are lovely. If you have a chance, utilize the free pass to the Lancaster YMCA. It is clean, brignt, and has new machines. Our professional conference is slated to be in Lancaster for the next three years and I will definitely stay at the Lancaster Arts Hotel every time. Lisez la suite
"Amazing stay at The Lancaster Arts Hotel"
I was happy from the instant I walked through the doors. Check-in was easy, They even let me check in a half an hour early. There was a second floor parking area which was great since I could walk straight to my room from there. The neighborhood was great. I recommend the Pita Pit to anyone trying to check out new food. The breakfast was good not the […] best but good. The whole hotel has a complete art scheme. The staff was friendly. Check out was easy and fast. I would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants a more artsy feeling hotel. Only con I have was that there was no microwave for the room. It would have been nice to have that to be able to make food. "Quaint yet very modern!"
This was an overnight stop for us on the way to NYC and we were pleasantly surprised and pampered for such a short stay! Loved the details...turn down service with chocolates, a rose and a good night/good morning mat. We wore the robes provided. Very clean and cozy yet modern as well. Everything was so convenient! Close to dinner as well. It made it […] into my journal and will always be remembered! Lisez la suite
"Chocolates and a Rose"
It really is lovely to get turn down service with chocolates and a rose every evening. There's even a vase in the room so you can keep your roses it top shape. I love the little touches, like tall water glasses and wine goblets in the room, not to mention the wine cooler. And, not to be too plebeian, but the soda machine on the third floor actually […] sold sodas for $.75, completely unheard of in this day and age! The bathroom was very nice with a roomy glass-enclosed shower and the amenities were luxurious. The art on the walls was fascinating. Lisez la suite
"Pleasant"
Staff was incredibly helpful. The restaurant is fantastic and, alone, worth the trip to Lancaster.
"Lancaster Arts Hotel"
This hotel is a jewel in the middle of Lancaster PA. The desk attendants are friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and nicely appointed. The bottled spring water at bedside was a very nice touch. A red rose and pillow chocolates added to the special ambiance. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the area.
"Wonderful stay!"
We took a mother/daughter shopping trip, 7 of us in all. We had 2 rooms and the hotel was very accomodating with the extra people in each room. The loft rooms were lovely and we felt quite pampered. In the morning, there was a delicious self serve breakfast. And surprisingly, no extra charge for the extra guests! We had a superb meal at the organic […] fine dining restaurant, which we were talking about for days. This is definitely a great place to stay. Lisez la suite
"Lancaster Arts - great Hotel."
We stayed here for 2 nights between October10th-12th. We loved the hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The complimentary taxi within a 5 mile radius was great as was the breakfast that sources local produce. I also liked the on site gym. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanted a relaxed, quiet environment.
"nice hotel, just needs attention to details"
hotel is pretty expensive for it location. So i feel they need to pay better attention to details. I found bathrooms need better cleaning, specifically dirt over grout. Free breakfast is not bad but needs attention to details such as making sure that water for tea kept hot, preserves, etc are replenished.
"Terrific Location - Lovely Hotel"
A great way to experience the urban side of Lancaster. Walking distance to galleries and central market. MUCH nicer than any of the hotel chains available in the area.
"Lancaster Arts Hotel"
I've stayed at many hotels in the Lancaster area, almost always on business. Cost isn't a factor so much as comfort - and in this hotel, whose nightly rate is 2-3 times that of nearby hotels, I don't feel you get what you pay for. The hotel has an art & artist theme, and it's decor is more minimalist than others. My room was small, and obviously retrofit […] into the original building's plan. bottom line: if you'll only be in your hotel room to sleep, spend less and disregard frills. If business or weather keeps you in the hotel, choose wisely and select a place whose comfort is worth it's cost. Lancaster Arts Hotel is (for me) not that place. Lisez la suite

"Uniquely appointed hotel"
This is a uniquely and well appointed hotel featuring an art or artists' motif throughout. Further, the hotel is a short stroll from Prince Street, home to a range of art galleries and restaurants. A little further on is Central Market. J.J. Jeffries Restaurant and Bar in the hotel are both above average for hotels. The only small annoyance is that […] the front desk person is also charged with taking reservations. At both check-in and check-out we waited for 3-5 minutes as the person gave information, directions, took credit card info and discussed current weather conditions. It's a small annoyance, however, and was eased at checkout when the counterperson acknowledged our presence with a gesture and subsequent apologies for the wait. I loved our room and would stay there again. Lisez la suite
"Lancaster Arts Hotel in PA"
I went up to Lancaster to spend a week taking a class. I needed a nice place to stay since it would be for 6 nights and 7 days. Well, I couldn't have found a nicer place! The staff was wonderful, the Queen Deluxe room was clean and so comfortable, and the service was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would not hesitate to stay there a […] gain. "A real 5 star in Lancaster, the best place to stay"
You will be happily surprised by this one. It is a modern boutique hotel in an old tobacco storage building, with very comfortable rooms - the jacuzzi suites are well worth the extra. Food is delicious (and reasonably priced) local, organic treats. Downtown Lancaster is just two blocks away, and right across the street is the very fun Barnstormers Minor […] League stadium. "Will return!"
My husband and I recently stayed at the Lancaster Arts Hotel. We choose the loft room that was spacious, clean, and luxuriously comfortable. The staff was excellent and very helpful. It is not in the middle of the action but is conveniently located and offer free taxi service within 5 mile radius of the hotel. There are also several places to eat within […] walking distance. If you are looking for a romantic place to relax ,choose the Lancaster Arts Hotel. Lisez la suite
"moisture problem, no pay tv option, lousy breakfas"
the hotel room was extremely humid ... they need to have a dehumidifer running. Also, the bath towels were not thoroughly dry. There was no pay tv option; they put smoking rooms in same hallway as nonsmoking; the breakfast was lousy... stale bread, terrible excuse for omelettes and poor excuse for hot made breakfast. Completely overpriced.
"Wonderful place!"
This hotel is a great place! They have free cabs w/in a 5 mile radius, wonderful art and furniture, roses and chocolates every night in the room, an exceptional restaurant on site, a minor league ball park across the street with free tickets, another gourmet, reasonable restaurant a block away (Fenz), and most important, totally intelligent, engaging, […] helpful staff. I feel so lucky to have found it! Lisez la suite
"A wonderful historic building conversion"
The hotel building was a historic tobacco warehouse that has been converted into a wonderful 4 star hotel with an "art" theme. The lobby, hallways and rooms are tastefully adorned with works of art from local and international artists, many of which may be purchased. Everywhere we looked was very clean, very warm and inviting and a careful eye for detail. […] A very enjoyable and memorable visit. Absolutely nothing negative to report. If traveling to the Lancaster, PA area and want a "change of pace" in accommodations, I would highly recommend staying here. Lisez la suite
"Lancaster Arts Hotel in Lancaster, PA"
Had a wonderful stay at the Lancaster Arts Hotel! Friendly, helpful staff. Room was as expected and depicted on the website with exposed brick and wooden ceiling beam and upgraded vanity in bathroom. Extremely comfortable beds. Loved the plushness of the mattress.. Had a nice view of the baseball field across the street, and to our surprise the brand […] new YMCA is located across the street which we didn't use but could have received complimentary passes to enjoy the pool. So those looking for a pool, this hotel has none, but the YMCA pool is available right across the street. There is a Thai restaurant and pita deli restaurant located just behind the hotel in addition to the fine-dining restaurant inside the hotel. Parking is available and on the premises which was nice and convenient. I would recommend this hotel to a friend. Lisez la suite
"2nd times a charm"
This is my 2nd stay at this great hotel. Service is top notch including a rose on your bed when they turn it down, some chocolate and free bottled water. I will stay there again in a heart beat!!
"SUPER!!!!!!!!!"
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We both enjoy art very much and the hotel was full of beautiful art and the room designs were really excellent. Definitely would recommend it to everyone.
Nice room, service minded staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Walking distance to town. Liked the art style of the hotel. Madrasses were superb. We even got a rose in the room :-)
"A bit over the edge of artsy"
I loved the place but they needed a critical eye for the details. 1) cool stacked info book on hotel but impossible to find anything because no table of contents or page numbers 2) not enough towel racks for two people 3) elegant doors on bathroom but no bumpers so it's impossible to open or close doors without noise - and waking your spouse. 4) touchy […] and inaccurate AC controls on the good side - 1) terrific look and upkeep 2) great, comfy beds and linens 3) friendly, helpful staff 4) sparkly clean Lisez la suite

"Unique hotel"
This is my favorite hotel in Lancaster. The staff is friendly. The hotel is very unique and artistic. They have lots of texture with hardwood floors, brick walls, plush beds, and modern lighting. The generous bath supplies are aromatic and spa quality. The hotel walls are lined with original artwork. They encourage guests to show their artistic side […] by having a sketch pad in the room with an invitation to lave a picture or doodle for their scrap book. I am very particular about room temperature and was very happy that I could get the room as cool as I like. I also appreciated their little touches to make the stay even more special. I found a beautiful red rose and two yummy chocolates on my pillow and a little bud vase to preserve the rose. I will stay here again whenever I am in Lancaster. Lisez la suite
