Hôtel confortable situé non loin du centre historique de Como, et à proximité d'une station de train régional. Des chambres spacieuses et bien équipées, très propres. Avec la ligne régionale de trennord (chemin de fer) on se trouve à 50 mn du centre de Milan. Une journée de shopping ou de visite est très simple et facile à organiser. Le restaurant de l'hôtel n'est pas à la hautejur des 4 étoiles de l'hébergement. Des plats très approximatifs, des assiettes mal ou pas dressées, des dénominations de plat incohérentes avec ce qui est servi, pas ou peu de spécialités locale le tout à un prix élevé ... il vaut mieux flâner dans la vieille ville de Como et prendre place dans un des nombreux petits bars qui servent des plats authentiques, abordables dans une ambiance de quartier très chaleureuse à condition de parler un minimum d'italien pour se faire comprendre..

Idéal pour partir visiter le centre de Milan ( tram à proximité), situé dans un quartier très agréable le soir, petit déjeuner de qualité, le seul bémol est peut être au niveau de l'insonorisation des chambres

Situation
Dans le quartier de Stazione Centrale à Milan, l'établissement Hotel New York se trouve tout près de Grattacielo Pirelli, Cathédrale de Milan et Pinacothèque de Brera. Les sites Parc Sempione et Piazza della Repubblica se trouvent également à proximité.
Caractéristiques de l'établissement
Cet hôtel très pratique pour les voyages d'affaires abrite un bar/lounge. Le petit déjeuner est offert. L'accès à Internet haut débit avec et sans fil est disponible dans les espaces communs (en supplément). Salle de bain super propre Bonne literie Bon chauffage ( surtout quand il fait -5, cela peut parfois poser problème en Italie) Les moins: TV: uniquement des chaînes italiennes. Le Wifi est payant et HYPER LENT!!!! Le style est un peu démodé

Climatisation très bruyante et mal odorante. Personnel pas souriant. Le must : c'est le petit déjeuner : vous dérangez le personnel, le choix est autant limité que la quantité restreinte. A part sa proximité, rien n'est appréciable dans cet hotel. Salle de bain avec moisissures, lit à ressors épouvantable, prises électriques cassées, petit déj = 3 croissants (secs) pour 20 personnes
Si vous avez choisi le train pour venir à Milan, alors l'hôtel New York est vraiment fait pour vous. Et pour cause : il se trouve juste en face de la Stazione Centrale, et à environ vingt bonnes minutes de marche du Duomo, le quartier le plus animé et le plus touristique de la ville. L'accueil est assez sympathique et l'enregistrement rapide. Les chambres […] sont propres, la salle de bains vraiment clean et fonctionnelle. On peut contrôler individuellement la climatisation. Le seul (léger) bémol concerne le buffet petit-déjeuner, un peu limité, mal approvisionné, tant au niveau de la nourriture que des couverts (vous pouvez toujours chercher les bols pour manger vos céréales....). Si on vient par la gare de Milan, l'hôtel est très pratique. Par contre, il l'est beaucoup moins en ce qui concerne le parking. Il est marqué dans le descriptif que l'hôtel dispose d'un parking mais ATTENTION IL EST PAYANT : (20€ la nuit) !!!! The location is perfect close to the central station and subways. Quiet area. The breakfast is Okay. The only minus I can see with the hotel is the hard pillows.

Nice Place, Nice staff, Good breakfast.
The room key system is rediculou. I have to go back to the front deak several times for the master key help. The shower head is broken, yet hotel manager asked me to be 'understandable because they will fix it afterwards which means after I check out. The table lamps are broken, too.

If you travel by train this is an excellent choice. Could not be closer to the Central train Station and located in a decent area. Very reasonable price and very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay there again.

We only found one good thing about Hotel New York in Milan Italy and that was it was located in a very convenient location if you are traveling by train. Upon enterance to our room we found the carpet less than acceptable, cob webs in the corners along with spiders and other creepy crawling things. The shower was less than par with mold all around. Good location being near to the Central Station although did mean could hear trains at night. Not too much of a problem though and my friend didn't hear a thing through not being such a light sleeper. Staff very helpful with all enquiries and spoke very good English. Good breakfast. Only criticism would be is that I found the pillows very hard.

We needed a hotel for the night and were taking the 7:05am train. This hotel is walking distance from the train station and served the purpose. I would stay here again. The room and bathroom were decent size. Didn't stay for breakfast.

We stayed one night on our way to Paris. Walking distance to train and metro. The room was clean and big for european hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Room is old, needs renovation. Beds are uncomfortable. Reception staff are very unfriendly and not helpful at all. Air-conditioning in the room is not working, I called the reception and the staff said he CANNOT DO ANYTHING and asked me to wait for the central system to "start up" in my room (what??? if it is central system, why need to wait). Anyway, […] I waited for 2 hrs and it is still not working. When I called the 3rd time, he said there he will asked the technical staff to check the next morning. We have to open the wondow and endure the noise from the streets (I could not sleep the whole night due to the noise and heat). I reminded the recption the next morning to check the air-conditioning but when I returned that evening, the air-conditioning is still not working. Another sleepless night!!! The hotel is very convenient and one feels very safe in the neighborhood. If you are also looking to make Milan your launch point for day trips in Milan or out to Venice, Lake Como or Florence, it's a great spot as it is very close to the centrail train station and subway.

At a friend's suggestion I always book the newest hotel I can find near the arrival point; in my case stacion centrale This time the result was excellent - although I missed the place twice because the scaffolding hid the sign and the presence on the street is so discreet. As soon as we walked in the door i felt that it was clean which is very important to me. The rooms and dining room were also clean. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and kept our luggage while we toured Milan for the day before we collected it to travel from central Stn. to Malpensa Airport.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. There were mosquitos all over the wall along with the smeared blood that came from them. The sheets had hair on them and the owner specifically told me they don't wash the bed spreads because it cost money.
