very nice hotel with beautiful lobby. the staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast buffet, although standard, was delicious. our room was verrrry small though, smaller than the 2 other hotels we were at (also 3 stars) in cuzco. i would definitely recommend this place though. great location and safe area

I strongly recommend staying at Terra Andina Hotel. The staff is so friendly, helpful and caring. The bed is really comfortable and its very clean. Any questions or problems, the staff answered and helped us. The location of the hotel is okey, just 10 minutes walk from the mainsquare, and it's not on the mainroad so we was not distrubed by the traffic. […] Finally, the breakfast is amazing! Excellent price value

These guys know how to treat their guests like a KING. We had to leave for Machu Pichu at 4:30 AM and the breakfast opens at 5 AM. We called the concierge and Voile, hot breakfast ready at 4 AM. The manager was awesome and he kept our valuables (laptop/electronics) in his office till we were back at night.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We loved the room, but the view faced the indoor courtyard and wasn't exciting. The jacuzzi tub was great. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, the staff were great and it was obvious that they wanted to help us. However, they didn't much about visiting Machu Picchu. Great little hotel close to "the squares". Clean and efficient. Nice breakfast and free internet and wi-fi. Definitely a good value for the price. It gets a little noisy in the morning for breakfast if you are on the 1st floor but that is to be expected. Also, get ready to unload your bags quick when you pull up. It is a single lane road and there is […] no pull in. The cars will back up behind you while you get your stuff. I was very pleasntly surprised by this little gem of a hotel in Cusco. It was an extremely well run hotel with a friendly and well informed staff. The facilties were well maintained and comfortable. The daily breakfast was complete and delicious. I would stay here again if I had the chance.

This hotel was lovely, really friendly and helpful staff. the hotel is in a good location and the beds and pillows are very comfortable! Nice breakfast as well.

The hotel is close to the square but a steep walk back to the hotel. Good restaurants close by. Hotel rooms small and lack of externally facing windows and air conditioning made the rooms hot.

Only a few minutes walk from the main central square, I would rate this hotel higher than expected - in a local area of town and hidden in a cobbled street but it was a very comfortable hotel, with excellent service and very friendly welcome from everyone. Lovely wooden panelling and a real colonial feel in the furnishing, lots of character. Very close […] to a wonderful huge colourful market plus a large local supermarket for easy supplies of bottled water. Buffet breakfast and room service both of a good standard- a chef will cook an omelette freshly for you at breakfast while you watch! Our favourite hotel out of 5 during this holiday! Lisez la suite

My stay at here was very comfortable to say the least with a friendly atmosphere, good all round service & airport pickup. I had a smaller room on the third floor on the first visit & a larger room on the ground floor on my last visit. Both rooms had flat screen TVs, nice bathrooms & were spotlessly clean. I must say there was a fair difference in the […] quality between the two, the later the better as it seemed like it had been recently refurbished. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. The hotel location was a long walk from the main part of this beautiful Lima suburb. Overall, I give this hotel a good rating.

This was an excellant hotel in a brilliant location, with very helpful staff. We stayed here for 4 nights before going on the Inka Trail, and one after we finished. The hotel kept our luggage for us while we were away and had it waiting for us in our room when we arrived back. We had paid for a superior room. The room wasn't huge but we had enough […] space, and the only window was into the courtyard rather than to outside. However, the room was clean and nicely appointed with a very comfy bed, and fresh fruit and flowers. We were upgraded to a suite for our one night when we returned which was really fantastic and we were disappointed that we didn't have time to enjoy the space. The breakfast choice was very good, and we were given a packed breakfast of fruit and a sandwich when we left at 4.15am for the Inka trail (breakfast starts at 5am normally). This was offered to us free of charge and was waiting for us when we checked out. There are 2 computers in the lobby for use, plus wi-fi, and coca tea is available at all times for you to help yourself to. We felt the location was very good. While not in the absolute centre, it was less than a 10 minute walk (at high altitude pace!) to the main square. There is a supermarket at the bottom of the street and a very good cheap laundrette which will launder your clothes in 4 hours at the top of the street. The street that the hotel is on was well lit at night and we felt perfectly safe walking from/to the hotel at all times of the day or night. Lisez la suite

The hotel staff was very friendly, and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. I had just finished a tour of Peru, and it was nice to end the trip in such a great hotel. The buffet breakfast was very good and the hotel offers free internet service. We stayed here for two nights then went to Machu Picchu and return for a further four nights. Very helpful staff, good breakfast included starting at 5 am for those on the early train. A shot walk to the center of town which we found to be a bonus. Allow two days to acclimatize to the altitude before any rigorous exercise. First let me say the hotel itself is fine. A couple of issues - it's on an alley and while you think that should make it quiet - it wasn't. I called twice and spoke to them about arranging a car to pick us up at the train station - they blew it. Luckily another hotel helped us get a ride to the hotel. We asked for a van to take us to the airport - another […] mistake, at least they did pay for the two taxis to the hotel. Our room was clean and nicely appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything in this hotel is exactly as pictured, and the hotel staff is awesome. They even stored our extra bag for the 5 days we were gone on the Incan trail and an overnight in Aguas Callientes. The in room massage therapists made out evenings even better, at such a low price […] for an hour massage. The breakfast was perfect, and the neighborhood is great, less than 5 minutes to any attraction, Only one minute to the famous San Pedro market. Everytime you enter the hotel, you are treated to a Nice hot cup of tea and someone always wants to help you with your bags. The only down fall is that you are greets at the airport for your shuttle by an extremely pushy seller of city tours, who takes you in a cab and simply won't leave you alone until you purchase some sort of a tour from him. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms, excellent food, short walk to plaza and markets, overall I found excellent for the price.

I spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was like a home away from home. The staff spoke English and were all very helpful. Breakfasts was plentiful and had a good variety each day. The room was small but comfy and it had a bath and a heater. The hotel is a pleasant walk to the Plaza and there is a market at the end of the street.

This hotel had a good location and the staff were helpful and friendly, but this was by far the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The "restaurant" is really just a covered courtyard area in the center of the hotel, surrounded by guest rooms. This means that if anyone is in the restaurant, you can hear EVERYTHING from your guest room. Additionally, […] the staff starts setting up for breakfast at night - between 10pm and midnight, and all you can hear is clanking dishes. Then breakfast begins at 5:00am and it is nothing but clanking dishes and people talking throughout the morning. Very loud, very annoying. We stayed there for 3 nights and we had the same experience every evening and every morning. Suggestion for the hotel: switch to paper plates, plastic utensils, and styrofoam cups...much quieter and your guests will be able to sleep! Lisez la suite

This hotel is very nice and in a good location. Everything is in walking distance and the staff is very friendly and helpful. As soon as you get to the hotel, you are greeted by the staff and offered the famous cocoa tea. I didn´t really like it, but drank it anyway becuase it is suppose to help you with the high altitude!! haha. I would stay there […] again! very nice and good for the price! Lisez la suite

We only stayed one night. I don't like a hotel with a pedistal sink with nowhere to put your stuff. Literally, there was no where. Our room was one the first floor and those are all interior corridor rooms and the noise starts about 5:00 a.m. as they set up for breakfast banging dishes, building tables, and the staff noise. Very friendly and helpful staff. They will pick you up and take you to the airport. They offered to let us leave luggage while we spent a few days at MachuPicchu. Very good breakfast. Our room was a little small but overall very nice.

We have selected the hotel on-line after seeing a number of reviews. This is our first visit to the Cusco area. After landing in Cusco and familiarizing with the area, I feel this hotel is highgly overrated. The toilets stink, the room dorrs donot close, telephone calls are charged even when they are not connected and show 0 sec talk time, the food […] is charged in US$ while the same is availble outside of the hotel for 3 times less. I woud not recommend this to anyone. ...You have other Hostels available for half the price with decent conditions. Lisez la suite

It was an overall good hotel, but some of the rooms can be a bit noisy, particularly the ones on the first floor.

Should have chosen a hotel nearer to central plaza, despite what the guidebooks say. Not the hotel's fault on that. Room was next to breakfast room with a large opening in our wall higher up and everything could be heard that we said. A bit dodgy neighborhood compared to other equal $ choices. Promised wi-fi in room, which is one major reason it was […] chosen. You need to have criteria that addresses whether they met what they advertised. Taking the laptop out into the lobby area wasn't much better. Only allowed free one-half on their computer. Getting or leaving a taxi was difficult, street is right on the doorway and even unloading the baggage elicited loud honking. Strange bathroom sanitation message made us wonder. I broke a cup during breakfast and it appeared on my bill. Morning check-out was 8:30 a.m., never heard of such an early hour. Had to pay $50 for extra four hours. Nice hotel. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good. While not located next to the main plazas it is still a short/comfortable walk to Plaza de Armas and other downtown sites. The hotel is located in a quiet part of town near the city market which we may not have seen otherwise if not for the hotel being nearby. Staff was friendly. Only complaint […] was upon check out we were presented with a bar bill we had already paid. The women at the front desk wouldn't accept my explanation that we had already paid the bill during our earlier visit (we stayed at the hotel twice - at the beginning and end of our trip) even though it wasn't logical that we could check out without paying the bill after the first stay. The amount was trivial ($1 US) but for her to insist that I wasn't being truthful was annoying, frustrating, and rude. In the end I paid again as the amount was not worth fighting over but to have a standoff about that amount and not trust a customer who had spend 4 nights & several hundred dollars at the hotel was in poor taste. Other than this incident of what I consider to be very poor service we found the other staff members to be friendly and courteous. The hotel itself is not bad, location is central, breakfast was good, staff is helpful and friendly. But, it is noisy, since the courtyard where the breakfast is served gets loud at 5 am. Also, he mattress is very hard, so we woke up with a headache every morning. I would not recommend it because of this reason. Though you woudn't tell driving up to it, Terra Andina offers great facility and accomodations. Had a slight issue, and staff went out of the way to make sure I was satisfied. 8 minute walk to main square.

Spend a short amount of time in Cusco and get closer to Machu Picchu. I'd go to El Albergue in Ollantaytambo. It is in a charming, small village where the trains take you to Machu Picchu. The air quality and breathing are much, much easier. Really a beautiful experience. We also preferred being in the smaller village of Machu Picchu over the pollution […] and thinner air of Cusco. The accommodation options that are more affordable in this village and it is much easier being there. Cusco really doesn't have much to offer but this hotel was good in every way. The breakfasts were very good, but the discomforts of Cusco's thin polluted air make this a short term option. Not all the rooms are equal so you might look at a few before choosing. Lisez la suite

We stayed at Terra Andina on either side of our Inca Trek. We arrived at 6am on an overnight bus from Puno and our room was available almost immediately for a much needed rest. The breakfast is lovely, the staff always helpful and the rooms are well spaced out, so it´s always very quiet. Take the train to machu picchu from Cuzco and all will be fine. Great trip and a nice hotel. Cute town with nice people.....

staff were very helpful, especially marcos. the location was ok, about 4-5 blocks away from the centre. but next time we would go for a superior room, the standard room was small and it did not have a window. with the high altitude, it made us feel a bit uncomfortable . the free airport transfers were a big plus
