Comfort Suites Spearfish - Spearfish

The hotel was great with the exception of getting hot water to the room. The water had to run for quite a while (minutes) before turning warm.

My family recently stayed at the Comfort Suites in Spearfish and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was very pleasant, which is hard to find. The hotel condition was also very good. The hot tub was out of service because they were waiting on a part, which was sort of a bummer, but things break down. I would stay again.

My sister, brother-in-law and I spent only one night at this hotel during our 4 day tour of northern plains states. We were very pleased with our rooms as well as the free breakfast which had everything we needed. The only reason I didn't rate the hotel 5 stars overall is that it was more expensive than the other hotels we stayed at by quite a bit, […] yet wasn't any better in quality. We didn't need to make use of the sofas in the rooms and perhaps that explains some of the cost difference. It certainly is a very good hotel which I would stay at again and recommend to others. The room was very large & comfortable. Our son loved the water slide, the pool was a little on chilly side but otherwise good. Our only complaint is that my niece left her camera battery & charger in the outlet when we left & when we called they were not very helpful. We told them exactly where it was & they kept telling us the no it wasn't there. […] Finally we told them we would be back to check ourselves after we visited Devil's Tower in WY. When we got there my husband talked to the manager & all three people from housekeeping who were to have looked. They again said it wasn't there. My husband had them take him to the room & walked right to it, pulled it out of the wall & showed them. The manager was very sheepish & admited he should have looked himself. Housekeeping was embarrased. All turned out well since were were driving back through town again anyway. If we had noticed any later or if we were not coming back through it would have been a much bigger problem. Lisez la suite

The hotel is clean, the service is good, and the breakfast area is neat and has good selection of foods available.

4 of us were running a 1/2 marathon and needed to save money and crash in one room (we were two couples). The room was big enough for this and they let us check in a half hour early. The blanket on the bed had other peoples hairs in it so it was really gross, but everything else was clean enough. At check out, no one was to be found at the desk, I […] waiting for 20 minutes. So I just left my keys and my completed bill on the counter and huffed out. The location of the hotel though was great, RIGHT off of I-90 and the breakfast was decent. No pets allowed though, so I thought it would be nicer than loads of hotels I have stayed in that DID permit dogs. Lisez la suite

Indoor pool, sitting area, desk, 2 phones in room...room is very plush...the bed is a wonderful soft pillow top...We loved the room didn't want to leave....

Loved this hotel! Very clean, nice sized rooms with fridge and microwave in the room, great pool with a fun and fast tube slide, and a great breakfast to top off our stay. The only negatives we saw were limited food options in the area, the wi-fi did not work in our room, and the bed was rather hard. Would stay there again though!
