cheap hotell in the shinjuku area, small rooms, friendly service.

The hotel is a budget hotel but has nice amenities. It is relatively new and is spotlessly clean. The front desk staff are very helpful and speak good English. The hotel is very close to the Shinjuku JR Station (Narita Express Train) and also the Tokyo Subway System. There is a Starbucks, Citibank, and several shopping malls close by. Everything you […] need is within a few feet of the hotel. The rooms are very small and but very nice. The internet is wired, but free. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is sparkling clean. There are vending machines on each floor that sell drinks including beer. There are washing machines in the basement for 300 yen in case you need to wash some clothes on your trip. Hotel was clean, service was good, but the rooms are extremely small. two people and luggage barely fit, and covered almost the entire floor space. close to Shinjuku train station and reasonably priced.

Very handy location, very close to various train lines. Super helpful staff, really improved our stay. We were expecting a little more comfort in the room for the price - bed and pillows were quite hard, only local TV was free, dirt marks on the carpet, but we didn't spend much time there so it didn't matter so much. Very close to plenty of restaurants, […] bars and cafes. Directions were a bit vague - yes it's only 3 mins from South exit JR station but head right and take the first left at the lights. This hotel has many good things going for it but there some trade offs. Pros: -Location is perfect as a home base. Walking distnce to Shinjuku Station. -It's very clean. -Offers a Western Style breakfast Buffet, bacon, eggs, toast, juice, coffee. Pretty good if you're not ready for smoked fish to start your day. -Airport Limosine service from Narita […] right ot the front door. This is nice after a long flight. Limo tix can be bought in US. - Staff speak well enough english, they also provde maps on how to get around. -Shopping is all within walking distance. -Staff are great! Excellent location.Easy access from Shinjuku JR station.Front desk staff very helpful and knows English. Airport limousine bus service available from hotel,which again is very convenient.

Located at near the Southern Exit of the very busy Shinjuku JR station, this business hotel is minimal, but well kept and has excellent service. As with most places in Japan, it really helps to speak Japanese, but I had some foreign friends mention that they were able to get information from the front desk without a lot of fuss and muss. There is WiFi […] in the lobby, but you need to ask at the front desk for the password. In the rooms there is a LAN cable for laptops, but no open WiFi options, which would have been nicer. The room we stayed in was a economy double room and it was small with just enough room for our suitcases and us. It's perfect for just sleeping and getting a little work done, but not really for lounging around. This is a business hotel after all. Overall, it was a pleasant and convient stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would like to stay near the Tokyo hot spots. Lisez la suite

Great hotel, location perfect, near shinjuku station, easy to get to from airport. The station has mainly link so easy to get around to sight see. The hotel is very clean, room are small but is ok, as you are there to sleep, hotel staff are very helpful, would not hesitate to stay here again when in japan.

Have been staying in this hotel for the past 2 years marathon. Wonderful location with subway station next to it. Starbucks, Family Mart and other restaurant are also within 3 mins walk. Hotel comes with nice business lounge for free internet assess and free printing. Choice with no regrets.

Me and my oartner attempted taking the local keisei train from Narita airport to Shinjuku, and it was not much of a hassle as we imagined. From Shinjuku stn, to get to Sunroute hotel you need to find the South exit (there are many many exits!) and walk towards First Kitchen at the road junction, cross road on left side. The hotel is not very noticeable […] but once you see Macdonalds its a short walk further down! Loved the hotel for its convenience and easy walking distance to many eateries and shopping! Also the hotel staff were friendly and polite, and we could always borrow umbrella from them. Housekeeping was efficient too. Generally nothing to complain about other than the very soft pillows. This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku and I am very happy with the service provided by your front desk and housekeeping. I would like to request for early check-in for future stay as I will usually arrive in Tokyo early in the morning. Fantastic location for accessing Shinjuku and the train station. Friendly staff. Having the airport bus pick up right at the hotel is a real bonus. Only downside was no wi-fi in the room. It was available in the lobby.

The Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku has always been one of my favorite places to stay when I need a hotel in Tokyo. Everything is perfect there; location, staff, cleanliness, rooms, services,etc. It leaves absolutely nothing to be desired (unless you expect something unrealistic of Tokyo hotel room sizes). I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I have stayed […] there several times and I'm sure I'll stay there again soon. Don't pass it up...I actually think they're finally starting to realize how awesome it is because the prices are finally starting to creep up ^_^ Anyway, its still a great price and a great place to stay. Very reasonable rate for such a convenient location. Walk to JR line in less than 5mins. Big departmental mall with walking distance eg OIOI, illume, takashimaya, isetan, mitsukoshi etc Convenient stall just within 1 min walk from hotel to get your necessities. Think the best part is the airport limo bus stop right at the hotel door step! Sunroute Plaza located in the heart of Shinjuku. It has been always my first choice when visit Takyo. It is not a five star hotel, but you get more then what you pay for.

Very handy to Shinjuku Station, and thus to public transportation anywhere, and an Airport Limousine bus makes a stop right at the hotel. Lots of restaurants and shopping places nearby. The "economy double" is really meant as a single room (the hotel's website indicates that the standard doubles are much larger in area), but we found it adequate basic […] accommodation, if somewhat cramped for a week's stay. Our room was very quiet--no outside noise. Internet is by cable, and a bit slow; there is tea provided, but no coffee. Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku has a superb location in Shinjuku. It is near the Shinjuku JR station, linkbridge to Takashimaya which could be a pitstop (especially in the cold winter) to the other side of shopping areas in Shinjuku i.e. Topshop, Forever 21, Isetan, Lumine etc... We are also a stone throw away from the dining & pachinko cluster where we spend […] 3 dinners there! Variety of food is good! Room is clean and tidy as expected of a Japanese hotel but the size is a surprise! We actually do not feel cramp or stuff up in the room, not bad considering the usual mindset of a small compact room in a typical Tokyo hotel. Good choice if you intend to stay in Shinjuku. The hotel location is so centrally located it is the ideal base for a stay in Tokyo. Great walking distance to both the JR Shinjuku western exit, the JR Yoyogi station and the metro - whichever you need. Very nice hotel and stay. Lovely lobby and helpful receptionists.

It is very closed to Shinjuku JR station, takes not more than 3 minutes walk. The room is very small and no enough space for your luggage to be fully opened. Certainly, it is the same issue in Japan's hotel. Staff is very nice, and provides free wi-fi password for our access at lounge. For the price and location its my favorite in Shinjuku. Others I've stayed in Shinjuku include Keio Plaza, Washington Hotel, Prince Hotel, and Sunroute Plaza is the best location and each individual room has its own climate controll which is not available in a lot of hotels in Japan. Its 1 minute from the Toei Oedo line; 5 minutes from rest of Shinjuku […] station South entrance; next door to a 24 hour ATM that accepts foreign debits; and just acros the street from the Souther Terrace (get the melon soft cream at the Hokkaido specialty store). Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is located in the most convenient and safe position in this busy area of Tokyo. Convenience stores, restaurants and transport are all very close and the surrounds are very safe and relaxing. We have stayed here many times and will stay here again.

I've been to Tokyo for many times and it's my very first time staying in a hotel that is so close to the JR Shinjuku station. I got a great rate from Hotels.com and the stay is enjoyable.

Make sure you take the SOUTH exit at Shinjuku station to get to this hotel easiest. Very nice hotel, good sized room. Free internet room - very comfortable. Great location.

Perfect location for travelling around Tokyo - both JR and subway are very easy to access from the hotel. Small rooms as to be expected in Tokyo but great value and comfortable. We will stay here again on our next trip.

The room fits the two of us perfectly OK although the space was really tight. It had all the amenities we like--fridge, water boiler, slippers, ropes. Also a fine location and is a standard stop for the airport shuttle. Would stay again.
