"a recommander"
seul probleme la place de parking. Bien place, quartier vivant sans etre touristique et le meilleur rapport qualite/prix. Chambre propre accueil souriant sauf a 3 heure qd vous reveillez le gardien
"Super friendly service"
There is only valet parking, which I was not used to because the hotels in SoCal usually don't do that. The staff was very friendly thought, and very helpful. Rooms were basic, and it felt clean enough to me.
"Ok for the price"
The hotel was clean and safe. Rooms are very small, although enough if you just need a place to sleep. Parking is a paid lot nearby. The doors are always locked. The next morning, some questionable people were hanging out in the tiny lobby.
"America's Best Value Inn & Suites-SoMa"
They need new sheets. The lobby is cluttered. Their furniture is old. They need to clean under the mattress, there were old tissues and hair. The wifi was slow and the cable kept losing service. I booked the efficiency king and they put me in a regular room until i complained. There were all sorts of creaks and groans in the room i was in. The toilet […] seat was uncomfortable. On the plus side it appeared they had done some remodel to the bathroom, although the shower head was too low even though i'm only 5'9. All this for a rate in the high 100's? No thanks. The only way i might stay there again is if there's a good deal, and only then because it's close to where a friend lives and there's a cool bar on the corner. Lisez la suite

"A little less then what I expected"
The hotel was from what I could see online was an average hotel. This was a little less then a hotel, more like a motel. The neighbor was not too good, lots of noise & people yelling on the streets. The hotel itself was dirty. The bed spread was stained, the chair was dirty. It just was not what I expected. Next time I know I have to pay a little more […] to get something cleaner & in a safe part of town. Lisez la suite

"Disappointment"
-Service was bad. -The desk clerk was disinterested and not very helpful -People smoked in our floor and the room was stinky. -Some guests had a party in the room next to us until 4am, thus we couldn't sleep at all because of the noise and the thumps on the floor. The hotel's reception closes around 8pm, so there is no one you can call if you need anything […] during the night. Next day we filed a complaint and the hotel's staff did nothing about it. -When we went downstairs to have our breakfast and there was nothing left to eat, just coffee and juice (it was only 8:30am and breakfast is served "in theory" until 10am). -Some of our bathroom towels were dirty; it was gross. -The fan in the bathroom was connected to the light and when you turned it on it sounded like a washing machine. -The remote control for the TV wasn't working. "College Student on a Budget"
The price for the two nights that my friend and I had stayed there was exactly what we were looking for. The part that I did not account for was that there would be no parking at all around the area. We knew that it would be packed because it was San Francisco but I at least thought there would be something for the hotel guest, the valet price was beyond […] what I was expecting or maybe I was just naive. The man that greeted us was not very friendly and he was hard to understand. It made me a little uncomfortable. The actual room was not really like the pictures, it was nice but it could have been cleaner. Breakfast was just muffins and juice, and honestly the muffins were stale. I would not stay there again if I had a choice. Lisez la suite
"Close to everything"
I stayed here two nights. I had a meetiing at the General Hospital and was able to walk there in 30 minutes. You can walk from the hotel to Union Square and Market street where all the shopping is in 10-15 minutes and to the SFMOMA museum in 10 minutes. There is a nice diner just around the corner from the hotel where you can get excellent breakfas. […] There is also an Indian restaurant a few blocks down Folsom street but you have to pass a few spooky sexbars on the way over there. There is a fidge and microvawe in the room. Lisez la suite
"Americas Best Value Inn & Suites - SoMa"
Stayed at this hotel on March 7th 2012. Hotel is located in an area surrounded by homeless people. Hotel is visibly old. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Wireless internet didn't work upon my arrival, but did the next day after I complained. No service at all from front desk. I must mention, it was only over the night stay. 7 min walk from bart […] station. Lisez la suite
"America's Best Value Inn - SoMa"
One of the best hotels in which I've stayed where I guess there have been recent renovations which may be ongoing. So there are expected modern features, which included my favorite--dial climate control for heat! Some classic features remain like beautiful gold curtains My room also had a mini-fridge which I love to have. Discreetly located in a […] SoMa neighborhood that comes alive with restaurants and other venues at night, it pays to do your web research. During the day very plain looking but in the evening things come alive. Very near public transportation, and roughly 6 long city blocks from Powell Station and Union Square, or you can just walk all the way down Folsom Street crossing about 7 streets to the Embarcadero. In summary, very nice hotel discreetly located in SoMa where it pays to research and consider time of day as to what you will see. Modern features mixed with a classic feel. Lisez la suite
"Americas Best Value Inn & Suites - San Fransisco,"
My wife and I attended a concert at Yoshi's and stayed at this hotel. The hotel was close ($10 cab fare each way) and had nearby restaurants and corner market for snacks. We wished there was a safe in the room but survived without. There is a bar below the motel and appeared to have a young mixed crowd. We didn't make to breakfast and can't rate it. […] Over all great location(4.6) Lisez la suite
"Interesting"
This is somewhat difficult for me to write, because I'm a bit torn about my stay. This hotel is not your typical beautiful up-to-date hotel...Aesthetically speaking, its probably more on par with a Motel 6 or less. The room itself is very old looking with drywall tape peeling, outdated decor, moldy caulk in the bathroom and no Air conditioning. The […] bed actually was ok except the sheets kinda felt like sandpaper. The tv was a simple "old-school" 20 inch tv, but it worked fine. The pluses: obviously the cost is a bonus. Everything in the room worked with no problems (i.e. Iron, TV, ceiling fan, shower, faucets, etc.). The lack of an A/C unit at first was concerning, but the windows open all the way and with the weather being in the 60's during the day and 40-50's at night, I slept with them open the entire time. I would suggest they put screens in them though. They provide shampoo, soaps, lotion which was suprising. I was never bothered during my stay and the hotel was very quiet, granted outside there were trucks driving back and forth, but I didnt mind it. The location worked for me as it was about 3 blocks from the convention center. There is a liquor/grocery store right next door as well as a great little italian restaurant called Roccos that had a great breakfast. Overall I wouldn't stay here again, but for the money I spent it worked ok. Lisez la suite

- The smell of the lobby as you first walk into the Hotel is awful and disgusting. That smell follows you all the way in the elevator and in the hallways. - Breakfast wasn't "pastries"...it was just muffins! - I found hair in my tub that wasn't mine !! - My room has chairs with cloth that looked dirty and dusty.
"Did not enjoy stay"
I did not enjoy my stay in this hotel; I am not a complicated person and just about any decent hotel would do, but this hotel is under the "Just about any decent" category. The room was dusty, my allergies went crazy, I could barely breathe inside the room. The bed was very uncomfortable, and for some reason the room was very noisy, we could hear the […] music from the bar downstairs, people yelling, shower noises, etc. For the money I paid I might as well have stayed in a Motel6. The only good things about the place were the employees, and the location, which was convenient. Lisez la suite

"Horrible dangerous surrounding neighborhood"
Horrible dangerous surrounding neighborhood. No parking space. Valet parking $18 per day.
"Noisy but clean"
Hotel was very clean and recently renovated, but the walls were very thin and it was quite noisy. Had a difficult time sleeping.
"you will have no regrets"
Unless you're looking for pretentious service or being right in the heart of the city, this is a great place to stay, convenient to great eats, fun times across the street and downstairs, and a grocery (though the latter you can't find anything healthier than microwavable soup).
"Best Value Inn in San Francisco"
Price was really good and the location was within a short walk of Moscone Convention Center. I did not care for the "continental breakfast" which was only muffins, coffee, and juice. There was also a lot of street noise and there is a bar located under the second floor along the street so there was some noise around 1AM when people were leaving. Overall […] for the price the hotel was a great find for someone on a budget and the view from my third floor room was really nice. Lisez la suite
"Cost-effective stay"
Stayed at hotel for a few nights while in San Francisco for business. It was located close to where I needed to be and at a good rate. Close to a variety of dining. Will cost $35 - 45 via taxi to get there. A bit thin walls, as person next to me had t.v. on loud and I could hear it in the evenings.
"A Great Deal"
This was ideally located for me - within walking distance of the Moscone Convention Center. The price was great, the room clean, the staff personable and informative. Recommended!
"Convenently Tucked Away"
This hotel was nicely claned, Conveniently located for popl who want to hit the Bars or Clubs in Soma and not too far from Castro, Japantown or Chinatown with a Muni Pass! Plenty o good places to eat within blocks either direction. Continental breakfast was simple and convenient. with juices, Coffee and Muffins! The Train, Bus and Trolley Stops just […] a short walk away. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Not huge and really fancy but recently updated with a working elevator and friendly front desk help. Lisez la suite
"We LOVED IT"
I stay at this hotel with my parents for 4 nights. 100% recommend it, the staff is super friendly, close to everything, very safe and very clean. are 10 points
"Good price if you don't care about ammenities"
This hotel is a good option if you travel alone or on a tight budget. Definitely not a hotel for a family trip. The area is noisy during the night but not unsafe. I walked to the hotel several times and no problem. The room is quite spacious for the price. It smells a little bad until you get used to it. I think they need to clean the carpet more often. […] Bathroom was clean and had all the things you need. Nothing fancy but enough towels, hair dryer and modern shower. I did not try the breakfast from the hotel and instead went across the street to a nice breakfast place. Lisez la suite

"U got what u paid"
The service was okay. The best thing is they provide free wifi in the lobby. But, you can't expect to have very good room condition, especially the towels were worn & not clean enough!
"Staff needs to improve !"
For the price, the room was small but comfortable for this time of year ... No air condition ... Ceiling Fan and open window only ... Would not recommend on Hot summer days ... Staff seemed to have just landed from another world .... They kwew nothing of the area having many restaurants within a few blocks ...
"Good Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. They were very willing to help us with whatever we needed. The rooms were clean. It was close to Market Street so it was easy to catch a bus on street car to where ever we wanted to go. The only small hitch was that the parking was not on site. But they were fast and friendly on bringing your car.
great location, loud at night but in an area to play lots so you don't want to go to bed

"America's Best Value/noise no extra charge"
Decent hotel for the rate in San Francisco. Comfortable, not luxurious. But the noise level from the street and in the middle of the night in the hallways was the worst ever experienced in 40 years of travel. Would not go back under any circumstances.
"Loud"
The hotel was very loud. People from the bar downstairs were very loud. (I liked the bar, myself.) Also, people in the hotel were very loud in the middle of the night. It wasn't very clea, either.
"poor value"
I paid the highest price I ever paid for a room here, and got an extremely sub-standard room. The room was very small, there was no air conditioning, there was no breakfast, and I was charged $18.00/day for parking.

"Noisy but nice"
The room was kinda small, but great. Clean, new facilities. There's a pub under the hotel, which caused a lot of noise in the evening and night hours. The reception guys were very nice and even saved for me something I got after checking out. 7 minutes walk from Market street and most public transportation.
"Not bad at all"
Location is great. On-street free parking can be had all week if you find the right side streets around the area. Walking distance to many destinations, and public transit. Lots of good restaurants right around the corner - the Cafe Laundromat across the street is great. Nice big park a block away with a full basketball court. Of course it is in SOMA […] in SF, so bring your open mind. Complimentary coffee, juice and muffins in the a.m.. The room and bed was clean and good - except the heavy stains on the chairs. The noise from the room above (water running, floor creaking) was the only downside. That and the dark "art" framed in the room. The windows open onto the quiet street and allow for fresh air which is nice. The TV has HBO and ESPN. Take the stairs instead of the ancient elevator. Service staff were all great. Lisez la suite
"Best Value Inn -SOMA"
The hotel was questionable and not too comfortable.
"Thin Walls"
Overall this is an OK place to stay for the night. I was really impressed with the bathroom. It was nice and clean. My only concern would be the thin walls. You can practically hear EVERYTHING from at least 2 doors down. Even overhead (if you happen to be on the second floor) there is constant stomping.

"Nice Stay"
+ Very friendly and helpful staff + Shuttle to the airport (15 $ per person) + we didn't have any problems in this neighbourhood +hotel is pretty central (near market street/union square) + complimentary breakfast - no free parking - no computer in lobby - walls are pretty thin - no space in bathroom for your things
